Concert Features One Piece Composer Kohei Tanaka’s Score Performed Live by the Filharmonika Orchestra Led by a Guest Conductor

Manila, Philippines – The wait is almost over. In less than a month, ONE PIECE Music Symphony returns to Manila for a one-night-only performance on January 11, 2026 (Sunday) at 5:00 PM at The Theatre at Solaire.

Presented by Film Concerts PH, this show brings the full, official One Piece Music Symphony experience to life. Fans will enjoy the renowned music of Kohei Tanaka performed live by 71 musicians from the Filharmonika Orchestra led by another guest conductor.

Step aboard for a journey through 25 years of the Straw Hat Crew’s greatest adventures. The international concert features breathtaking HD scenes from the anime perfectly synchronized with Tanaka’s powerful score. Newly arranged pieces for this world tour include the energetic new TV opening “UUUUUS!”, alongside beloved tracks such as “Haha naru Umi” (Mother Sea), “Sekai no ichiban oden da!!”, and “Ore no saikouchiten” (Luffy’s Gear 5 Theme).

The show has already won the hearts of fans who experienced the previous run. Content creator Kuya Bols (HyperGeek) described it as “the best One Piece event of the year,” sharing how the concert made him relive the Straw Hats’ journey. “It reminded me of everything they’ve conquered, right from the very start until the latest episode.”

Cosplayer and streamer Jane Yu expressed how the event reignited her passion for the franchise. “I had the best time! I went as Nami and even met fellow Nakamas,” she said. “The orchestra’s performance was an emotional roller coaster, and singing along with the crowd made me fall in love with One Piece all over again.”

Meanwhile, gaming creator Dimpsss highlighted the concert’s immersiveness, calling the performance “absolutely incredible.” “The live orchestra brought the world of One Piece to life. ABOUT THE FILHARMONIKA ORCHESTRA
The Filharmonika Orchestra, affiliated with Film Concerts PH, is a Manila-based ensemble founded in 2005 by conductor Gerard Salonga and revived in 2024 after a decade-long hiatus. Many of its musicians hail from the former ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra, which Salonga led until 2020.

ABOUT KOHEI TANAKA (COMPOSER)

Japanese composer, arranger, and singer Kohei Tanaka has written musical scores for numerous famous anime TV series, OVAs, movies, computer games, and tokusatsu series—among them One Piece, Sakura Taisen, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, and Gunbuster.

Tanaka began playing the piano at an early age. After graduating from Osaka Seiko Gakuin High School, Tanaka studied music composition under Tomojirō Ikenouchi at Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. Once he graduated, Tanaka worked for three years in the advertising department of Victor Music Industries before spending two years at the Berkley College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. He then returned to Japan to pursue a career as a pianist and a composer.
