  • Underoath Set for a Much-Awaited Manila Performance

Underoath Set for a Much-Awaited Manila Performance

THE OUTFIT IS FINALLY HEADED TO OUR SHORES THIS FEBRUARY 2026!

If there is a group that has both continually defied the odds through decades and has defined the sound and shape of the modern rock/genre itself, it’s UNDEROATH – fueling their unique brand of music with both sonic brutality and catchy, anthemic melodies that have always proven to be musically inventive and constantly evolving.

And fans worldwide have proven to be fiercely loyal – particularly Filipinos.

And finally, after decades of waiting, Manila, Philippines will get to prove they are among the greatest in the world, as the Tampa, Florida-hailing band has officially set a course to invade local shores next year, February 12th 2026, as they perform in the country for the very first time at the Skydome, SM North EDSA.

Currently consisting of founder/drummer/singer Aaron Gillespie, keyboardist Christopher Dudley, guitarist Timothy McTague, bassist Grant Brandell and lead vocalist Spencer Chamberlain, UNDEROATH has always taken the road-less-travelled: starting as a Christian band that dabbled with heavier elements like metalcore, death metal and even black metal, the group found worldwide success when it blended soaring, melodic choruses with post-hardcore/screamo/metalcore verses that did not hold back.

Lyrically, the band tapped the vein and seamlessly connected to an entire generation, with the release of 2002’s The Changing of Times (which spawned the hit “When The Sun Sleeps”) and 2004’s They’re Only Chasing After Safety, which produced the gargantuan smash single “Reinventing Your Exit” which catapulted them into worldwide fame, gaining massive airplay from both MTV and radio.

Though the band did go through the proverbial ringer – riddled with member changes (including the shocking departure of Gillespie…) and ultimately their 2012 breakup – the music did not die down one bit; in fact, the band’s legacy was already cemented with its fanbase, and UNDEROATH never seemed to be lost in the consciousness of serious fans of the genre through the years – reason why their comeback in August 2015 was received more than well – and their releases since then have contributed to their expanding legacy which includes having toured and worked with giants like ALICE IN CHAINS, KORN and BRING ME THE HORIZON (to name a distinct few…).

Those who know could say that they are “nothing short of invincible.

So if you’re serious about music and even more serious about having a good time, be sure to grab your tickets as they go on sale this November 15th at 12PH Time via SM Tickets outlets nationwide and/or online through smtickets.com. Fans will definitely be stoked to know that a VIP with Meet N’ Greet package will be made available for only PHP 6,000.00while VIP and GenAd tickets will be for sale for PHP 4,500 and PHP 3,500 respectively.

UNDEROATH LIVE IN MANILA is brought to you by PULP Live World.

ONE OK ROCK Returns to Manila for Explosive “DETOX ASIA TOUR 2026”

Following sold-out tours across the globe, the rock icons will bring their signature intensity to major cities throughout Asia, including Manila.

Global rock powerhouse ONE OK ROCK is officially returning to the Philippines as part of their highly anticipated DETOX ASIA TOUR 2026, with a one-night-only concert set for March 4, 2026, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. Following the explosive success of their DETOX North American Tour earlier this year, a blockbuster run of summer dome shows across Japan, and a series of sold-out European performances this fall, the band is once again gearing up to ignite Asia with their signature intensity and electrifying live energy.

ONE OK ROCK Live in Manila 2026

The Asia leg of the tour kicks off in Bangkok on February 21, 2026, before heading to Seoul, Manila, Singapore, Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Jakarta. The Manila show marks ONE OK ROCK’s much-awaited return to the country, where their passionate Filipino fanbase has long been known for its unmatched energy and devotion. Fans can look forward to an unforgettable night filled with explosive performances, soaring vocals, and emotionally charged anthems that have become synonymous with ONE OK ROCK’s global reputation.

The DETOX ASIA TOUR supports the band’s latest studio album DETOX, which continues to receive widespread acclaim for its bold sound and emotional depth. Featuring the breakout single “Tropical Therapy,” the record captures the band’s evolution—merging powerful, arena-ready hooks with introspective lyricism and a genre-blending edge. It stands as their most personal and globally resonant work to date, solidifying their status as one of the most influential modern rock acts in the world.

Earlier this year, ONE OK ROCK completed a sold-out U.S. run that lit up major venues such as The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles and Prudential Center in Newark. They are currently headlining Japan’s largest stadiums before heading to Europe for a fall tour, and have also announced their biggest-ever Australian run set for March 2026. Each leg of the tour reaffirms the band’s ability to captivate audiences across continents with their raw energy, musicianship, and emotional connection.

Since their debut in 2007, ONE OK ROCK—composed of Taka Moriuchi (vocals), Toru Yamashita (guitar), Ryota Kohama (bass), and Tomoya Kanki (drums)—has evolved from performing in small clubs to headlining massive arenas and domes worldwide. Known for their fusion of rock, emo, and post-hardcore with heartfelt lyricism and high-impact performances, the band has earned millions of global streams, critical recognition, and a devoted international following. With accolades including Rock Sound’s Best International Band, ONE OK ROCK continues to bridge cultures and redefine the landscape of modern rock.

As the DETOX ASIA TOUR 2026 approaches, Filipino fans can expect nothing less than a powerful, emotionally charged concert experience. ONE OK ROCK’s return to Manila promises to be a night of passion, precision, and pure rock energy—an unmissable event that will once again prove why they are among the most dynamic live acts in the world. • Smashing Pumpkins Invades Manila: A Nostalgic Trip Back to the ’90s Grunge Glory

Smashing Pumpkins Invades Manila: A Nostalgic Trip Back to the ’90s Grunge Glory

The rain fell over Metro Manila, just like it did on the stormy night in 2012 when The Smashing Pumpkins last played there. But for the thousands of fans mostly dressed in black, the rain only made the electric nostalgia in the air stronger. For kids in the 1990s who listened to “Siamese Dream” and “Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness” over and over, this wasn’t just a concert; it was a trip back to their childhood.

Billy Corgan, the band’s lead singer, was joined by original members James Iha on guitar and Jimmy Chamberlin on drums, as well as bassist Jack Bates and guitarist Kiki Wong. They played a setlist full of classic songs from their catalog that blew the roof off the place.

The lights went out, and the crowd went wild when the band started their set with the pulsing, futuristic riffs of “Glass’ Theme” from ‘Machina/The Machines of God’ and then the gritty, industrial churn of “Heavy Metal Machine.” The energy was immediate and visceral, reminding me of the Pumpkins’ ability to mix raw power with deep sadness. Billy Corgan, whose bald head shone under the stage lights, led the charge with a voice that still carried the weight of a generation’s anger.

“Magandang gabi! Maraming salamat, Manila!” Corgan yelled out, and his Tagalog greeting was met with loud cheers. The frontman, who is now in his late 50s, wore a long black coat and stood tall. He was as commanding as ever. The setlist was a love letter to long-time fans, taking them through different periods of the band’s long and successful career. Then, a surprise cover of Berlin’s “Take My Breath Away” came on. The dreamy synths and Corgan’s haunting voice cast a spell over the crowd. Then came “Mayonaise,” with its shining guitars and raw emotion that made many people cry, and “Disarm,” which turned the coliseum into a cathedral of shared weakness. The rain outside seemed to fall in time with the strings that hurt.

But the crowd really went wild when the first notes of “Tonight, Tonight” rang out through the arena. Fans swayed, held their hands up, and sang every word like the last 30 years had never happened. The strings, the hope, the heartbreak—it was like 1995 again, and Manila was living it. The sea of black shirts, each with a pumpkin and a zero logo on it, moved as one, lost in the song that defined their youth. “1979” was also a well-received performance, the dreamy alt-rock vibes and infectious energy of the song got the crowd going.

As the night came to an end, Corgan spoke to the happy, wet crowd one last time. “Thank you very much! Get home safe, you’re the best,” he said, his voice warm with gratitude. The fans, soaked but not giving up, stayed as the last notes faded, not wanting to let the moment pass.

For kids in the 1990s, this wasn’t just a concert; it was a reunion, a reckoning, and a reminder that the songs that shaped them are still alive and well. As the rain kept falling, The Smashing Pumpkins showed once again that their music will never go out of style, just like the city that welcomed them back with open arms.

  • The Smashing Pumpkins to Return to Manila with Their Greatest Hits This September 2025

The Smashing Pumpkins to Return to Manila with Their Greatest Hits This September 2025

You simply cannot talk about 90s music and culture without bowing at the shrine and offering intense reverence for the body of work and unmistakable sonic contributions to the era of alternative rock without mentioning THE SMASHING PUMPKINS – truly one of the most successful and largest-selling artists worldwide.

    The Smashing Pumpkins

Led by prolific songwriting genius and renowned rock figurehead Billy Corgan, the band (which includes widely respected drummer Jimmy Chamberlain and wonderfully enigmatic guitarist James Iha…) and its music has endured more than three decades’ worth of trends and remains to be a fiercely driven musical force that simply cannot be replaced nor imitated.

It’s really all rooted in the band’s music, as their singles have transcended from being smash hits on music charts decades ago to becoming anthems of the generations that would follow, lucky enough to witness their greatness first-hand: from early live favorites like the snarling hard rock of “I Am One” to explosive nihilistic singles like “Today,” “Disarm,” “Cherub Rock,” grandiose Grammy Award winners like “Tonight, Tonight,” “Bullet With Butterfly Wings,” “1979” and genre-defining offerings like “Ava Adore,” “Perfect,” “The Everlasting Gaze” and “Try, Try, Try” (to name more than a distinct few…), THE SMASHING PUMPKINS have, without a doubt, created the soundtrack for the lives of many music fans worldwide.

The band’s sound was like no other: driving rhythms, thickly layered guitar riffs that were juxtaposed between being beautifully melodic and densely dreary, the interplay of Corgan’s space-child vocals and angst-ridden screams – all brought together by his painfully honest lyricism – was hard to limit to the confines of traditional alternative, grunge, hard rock, new wave or even heavy metal and electronica. As evident with the progression of each album in the band’s extensive catalogue, the band undoubtedly remained a step ahead of their peers and always had the pulse of modern music within their arsenal, which is why they continue to release groundbreaking music to this day.

Though the band originally made its way to the Philippines in 2012, it was during a time when the band was admittedly navigating through shaky waters, with Corgan being the only founding member to perform. This time around, all three original members (considered by longtime fans to be the most authentic and powerful lineup…) have finally come together to perform at the Smart Araneta Coliseum this September 29th, 2025, for one night only, in a show dubbed SMASHING PUMPKINS ‘ROCK INVASION 2025’ IN MANILA. Any loyal Filipino “Pumpkinhead” will tell you that THIS is the show Manila has been waiting for, and in true rock n’ roll fashion, might not happen again.

So serious alternative rock aficionados, as well as serious music fans in general – will be amiss to let this opportunity pass. Produced by PULP Live World, it’s an amazing musical experience that will celebrate both the legacy and relevance of a band that has influenced countless fans and musicians around the world. Tickets to the show, which will be made affordable to one and all via Presale on May 31st, 2025 at 10AM-10PM (Philippine Time), can be purchased via ticketnet.com.ph, and General sales will open on June 1st at 12 noon at all Ticketnet outlets, and online as well.

  • My First Story to Make Their Philippine Concert Stage Debut in July 2025

My First Story to Make Their Philippine Concert Stage Debut in July 2025

PH J-rock fans, your moment has come! For years, Filipino fans have passionately called for their chance to be part of THE story.

Now, the wait is over and Manila is set to create a new chapter in its history as PULP Live World proudly brings the Japanese rock powerhouse, MY FIRST STORY, to Manila! For the very first time, MY FIRST STORY will be performing in Philippine Territory as MY FIRST STORY ASIA TOUR 2025 in MANILA happens at the New Frontier Theater on July 24, 2025.

Formed in Shibuya, Tokyo in 2011, MY FIRST STORY quickly soared to popularity with their music – a distinct fusion of post-hardcore intensity, melodic rock, and poignant lyricism. The band is led by vocalist Hiroki ‘Hiro’ Moriuchi, the younger brother of ONE OK ROCK’s Takahiro Moriuchi and son of two equally legendary Japanese singers. Alongside him are Teruki ‘Teru’ Nishizawa on guitar, a longtime friend and high school bandmate; Shohei ‘Kidz’ Sasaki on drums (who joined in 2016 after previously performing with the band Loth…); bassist and founding member Nobuaki ‘Nob’ Katou and Sho Tsuchiya, the band’s original guitarist, co-founder, and creative force. (Though Tsuchiya has been on hiatus since 2015 due to personal circumstances, his contributions as the band’s lead songwriter and producer continue to shape their music today…)

MY FIRST STORY’s career is filled with remarkable achievements that prove their influence both on Japanese and international music. Their self-titled debut sold over 20,000 copies, earning them a nomination as “Next Break Artist” at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards, which led to their first sold-out independent show. Their subsequent albums “Antithese” (2016) and “S·S·S” (2020) both peaked at #4 on the Oricon Singles Chart and #7 on Billboard Japan’s Hot 100 charts. Their peak came in 2020 as their album “V” reached #2 on Oricon and #3 on Billboard Japan, marking their highest chart performance to date. Their 10th anniversary compilation album, “X”, also ranked at #6 on various charts, and their award-winning hit “I’m a Mess” earned “Best Lyricist Award” citations at the 2023 Japan Record Awards.

Beyond the charts, the band’s sold-out shows and festival appearances continue to prove their dominance in Japan’s rock music scene.

Their music has also expanded into gaming and film, as the band’s tracks have been featured in PS4’s Let It Die, SEGA’s Hortensia Saga: Ao no Kishidan, and have been used as both the opening and ending themes of the fourth season of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba,” (alongside another notable Japanese group HYDE..) and the ending themes for “Nobunaga Concerto” and films like Shinjuku Swan II

MY FIRST STORY’s songs are known for their emotional storytelling, with anthems like “不可逆リプレイス (Fukagyaku Replace)”, “ALONE”, and “Missing You” resonating across generations of fans, while newer releases like “Break It Down” and “メリーゴーランド (Merry-Go-Round)” continue to break new ground and have been on numerous playlists of fans worldwide.

For one night only, Manila has the chance to experience the full, sonic power of MY FIRST STORY live onstage and in the flesh, with a setlist that spans more than a decade of evolution and intense emotional connection. Mark your calendars for July 24, 2025, as the MY FIRST STORY ASIA TOUR 2025 in MANILA is happening at the New Frontier Theater!

  • Never Low: The Nostalgic Band Concert Era in the Philippines Continues in ‘All Time Low: Forever Tour’ in Manila

Never Low: The Nostalgic Band Concert Era in the Philippines Continues in ‘All Time Low: Forever Tour’ in Manila

Forever? Indeed. One of our favorite bands we added to the playlists of our youth that molded us during the early 2000s, All Time Low, came back, returning for the sixth time in the country to celebrate their 20th year in the industry with their ‘Forever Tour’ in Smart Araneta Coliseum last May 3, 2024, presented by PULP Live World.

The band was serious when they included two decades’ worth of music with a setlist of 33 songs that got the neighboring countries jealous of Filipino fans. Not surprising of course, as we are known as one of the best concert crowds in the world, with unprecedented energy and digesting the whole concert setlist like we are in karaoke.

Check out how the band hailing from Maryland, USA with lead singer Alex Gaskarth, guitarist Jack Barakat, bassist Zack Merrick, and drummer Rian Dawson, made a home with the Filipino music fans with their longest setlist yet.

“We’re back! The energy here f*cking crazy!” as the band started their setlist of the evening, expanding two decades’ worth of discography, as the setlist was mashed in one incredible night of punk rock music. Alex also expressed that they’d never thought they would still be playing halfway across the world when they started their band in the humble basement of Rian’s (Dawson) parents in 2003. It was just instruments and a dream, and decades later, they are still filling up coliseums and contributing to the rich punk/emo rock music that raised us.

The setlist was plucked from their albums in a surprise setlist arrangement that differs with each stop. From the newest album just released last year, “Tell Me I’m Alive” stretching to their 2006 album “Put Up or Shut Up”, the band did not leave the crowd any room to breathe with hit after hit and fan favorites, to surprise songs.

“I don’t ever wanna stop playing in Manila!” frontman Alex commented in the middle of the show, as how would they want to stop when the Filipino Hustlers (their fandom name) would always welcome them in a full room, seemingly not wanting to stop listening and rocking out with the band either. Whether it was singing along to the songs, to glittering the event with their phones, (literally glittered during the surprise acoustic version of ‘Glitter and Crimson’), the Filo Hustlers gave the band another reason to come back. Bassist Zack Merrick even captioned his picture in the country with, “Manila, you will be hard to top,” while Alex promised the Filipino fans that they would be back.

Not a hard promise to keep as both the fans and the band just can’t get enough of each other. And while the emo/punk era is now living in our nostalgic boxes, we’re still in that Future Hearts Club, no matter where we are, and starting a riot. It’s Nothing Personal, it’s just music.
