  • Black Eyed Peas Live in Manila 2025!

Black Eyed Peas Live in Manila 2025!

Party with their Greatest Hits and More!

Breaking News – Six-time GRAMMY® Award-winning trio and one of the best-selling groups of all time, BLACK EYED PEAS is finally coming to Manila on August 27, 2025 at the Mall of Asia Arena. Presented by Wilbros Live. Tickets go on-sale on Saturday, March 15, 12PM via SMTickets.com and SM Tickets outlets nationwide.

Over the past 30 years, the Los Angeles trio–will.i.am, Apl.de.Ap, and Taboo–have achieved sales of 35 million albums and 120 million singles across seminal releases such as Elephunk, The E.N.D., and more. One of the era’s biggest acts, they emerged as “the second best-selling artist/group of all-time for downloaded tracks” (Nielsen) and landed on Billboard’s “Hot 100 Artists of the Decade”. In 2011, they dazzled the world with a landmark performance at the Super Bowl XLV Halftime Show.

They have released several chart-topping hits, including “I Gotta Feeling”, “Where is the Love?”, “Pump It”, “Boom Boom Pow”, “My Humps”, “Meet Me Halfway”, “Let’s Get It Started”, “The Time (Dirty Bit)”, “Don’t Stop The Party”, and many more.

Their eighth studio album, TRANSLATION, achieved staggering international success after its release in 2020. Featuring major collaborations with artists such as J Balvin, Ozuna, Maluma, Shakira, Nicky Jam, and Tyga, the long-player garnered eight nominations at the Billboard Latin Music Awards, including ‘Crossover Artist of the Year” and “Hot Latin Song of the Year” for “RITMO” and a nomination at the 2021 Latin Music Awards for ‘“Favorite Artists – Crossover”. The album resulted in a series of chart-topping singles, including the massively successful “RITMO (Bad Boys For Life)” [feat. J Balvin] and “MAMACITA” [feat. Ozuna and J.Rey Soul], both of which achieved #1 status on three Billboard Charts each, numerous award nominations, and gold, platinum, and diamond certifications globally. The knockout album single from December 2020, “GIRL LIKE ME” [feat. Shakira] continued this streak, achieving success on Latin and Top 40 radio, sparking a viral TikTok challenge in late 2020, and scooping “Best Latin” award at the MTV VMAs, while 2021’s ‘HIT IT’ with Saweetie and Lele Pons racked up 5.8M global audio streams, 1.1M US audio streams and almost 10M YouTube views in its first week alone.

The success of TRANSLATION demonstrated Black Eyed Peas’ ability to reinvent themselves along with the changing times, a fact reconfirmed in 2022 when the band reunited with Shakira and David Guetta for DON’T YOU WORRY, the first single to drop from their ninth studio album ELEVATION. The hugely successful lead single was swiftly followed by the Anitta and El Alfa collaboration SIMPLY THE BEST. In 2023 true BEP fashion, harnessing the musical forces of the Americas, the next single BAILAR CONTIGO (with reggaeton superstar Daddy Yankee) followed by GUARANTEE (SUMMER MIX), has opened up yet another brilliant chapter in the continuing story of the Black Eyed Peas in nothing less than international chart-topping style.

Marit Larsen and Marion Ravn, who shot to international fame in the early 2000s, are returning to the stage to celebrate their legacy.

“It was never a question of where we’d start our tour if we ever reunited – Asia was always the first choice. Some of our best memories are from there.” says Marion Ravn.

2025 marks the 25th anniversary of M2M’s best-selling album «Shades of Purple”, and the fans of the duo have continued to listen to their music and begged for a reunion for a long time. Following their split in 2002, both Marit Larsen and Marion Ravn pursued successful solo careers, but the duo never performed together again – until now.

On September 22nd (twenty-five after nine) Marit and Marion’s followers were sent into a frenzy when M2M posted a video of themselves singing a snippet of their most-streamed hit, “The Day You Went Away“. The clip went viral, racking up millions of views within hours, as fans flooded the comments with tour requests. And now, it’s finally happening.

The Better Endings Tour” is the beginning of a new chapter for M2M, and it brings them back to Asia. Despite spending nearly a decade together, travelling all over the world and selling over 12 million albums worldwide, M2M never embarked on their own headlining tour.

“We’re finally getting to do what we always dreamed of. “I can’t wait to get back on stage playing music with Marit again”, says Marion.

“Making “Shades of Purple” changed our lives forever, and playing these songs together again, in the same room, while rediscovering both our music and our friendship at the same time, is a particular kind of magic. It feels powerful, like a celebration, Marit says.

“Let’s give this story a better ending. The ending it deserves. We truly can’t wait to see you (again).”

  • Incubus Receives a Full-House Welcome in Manila

Incubus Receives a Full-House Welcome in Manila

Incubus returned to the Philippines for their 6th headlining show on April 25. The Araneta Coliseum was full to the brim as thousands and thousands of old-time fans welcomed them after 6 years since their last visit. Vocalist Brandon Boyd on vocals, guitarist Mike Einziger, drummer José Pasillas, DJ Chris Kilmore and  bassist Nicole Row thrilled the crowd with a solid 18-track setlist of their best hits and a few covers.

It has been almost 25 years since Incubus hit it big with the album Make Yourself. Back then, “Drive” could be found playing in the weekly music charts in the Philippines alongside pop stars like Westlife and Britney Spears. The music video, featuring a raven-haired, shirtless tattooed Brandon Boyd drawing himself in a music video was looped a lot on music channels on TV. Their music from then, followed by Morning View and A Crow Left of the Murder were in most teens’ radar back then. Incubus’ music was an experimental blend of alternative rock, funk, hip-hop with streaks of metal and bits of turntable scratches. Their lyrics were simple yet profound, the right blend of musical poetry. Incubus was cool.

It is now 2024, and all that remains to be true – Incubus is still cool (if not cooler). Their music has definitely transcended time. The teens who grew up looping their CDs in the early 2000s  are now full-blown adults, and many of them made sure to find time in their hectic schedules to see the band on a Thursday evening.

Incubus’ show was a no-frills rock concert. When they took center stage, there were no elaborate video sequences or groundbreaking introductions. Each band member took their place, started to play their instruments and the crowd passionately went along with everything. The hypnotic crawl of “Quicksand” was the starter, a calm before the storm. This was followed by the relentless “Nice to Know You”.

Their setlist was a great selection of their greatest hits with majority from Make Yourself and Morning View. A stand-out track was the nu-metal track “Vitamin” from S.C.I.E.N.C.E. Another misnomer was “Karma, Come Back” from their 2020 EP Trust Fall (Side B). The band also included their rendition of Portishead’s “Glory Box”, The Beatles “Come Together” and David Bowie’s “Let’s Dance”.

Being in the concert was an exhilarating mixture of nostalgia and wonder. The crowd’s energy was astronomical, it seemed like a hundred-thousand-watt karaoke machine. It was amazing how a whole dome of what must have been a lot more than 10,000 people unanimously screaming along to “I’ve had enough of this world and its people’s mindless games”, during “Pardon Me”, chanting “Step down! Step down! Step down!” during “Megalomaniac” and singing along (very smoothly) to the oohs  of “Warning”  and “Are You In?”. These songs are well within their two decades in existence yet that evening, it felt like they were still the coolest songs of 2024.

“I missed you guys so much. You are all beautiful. Thank you,”  Brandon Boyd told the audience. The band’s frontman was not chatty, but he was visibly pleased when the crowd was singing along (which quite frankly was 90% of the concert).

Halfway through the show, the audience chanted for Mike Einziger to smash his guitar, a deed he was fond of doing in his younger days. Even Brandon joined in the jeers, but Mike apologized with a smile, saying he has now “mellowed down”.

As one of Incubus’ most popular songs, “Drive” got its well-deserved main-character moment. The band opted for an acoustic set-up, with Brandon’s voice reverberating throughout the dome. A few seconds in, a number of people started raising their flashlights. Slowly and steadily, more and more orbs joined in as the chorus of voices got louder and louder. Near the end of the song, the lights looked like lanterns swaying in the dark, a beautiful sight and a sacred moment that stood out during the concert. For the finale, Incubus went out loudly with “Wish You Were Here”.

A few hours after the concert, Brandon Boyd posted on Instagram: “Coming to the Philippines to make music has always been such a wild experience for us and last night was no exception. You all made our trip here so memorable and boy, can you guys sing! Until next time. Thank you.”

GAYLE (My First Time) in Asia 2024 Tour is coming to Manila this May 29!

    GAYLE Live in Manila 2024

American singer-songwriter GAYLE famed for the electrifying smash single “abcdefu” will be coming to Manila for the first time on May 29 at The Podium Hall. Tickets go on-sale on February 24 at 12PM via SMTickets.com and SM Tickets outlets. Presented by Eventim Live Asia and Wilbros Live.

    About GAYLE:

On her incendiary debut EP, a study of the human experience volume one, 19-year-old singer/songwriter GAYLE shared a batch of songs capturing the most specific and vividly real emotions: the tension between longing for connection and fearing vulnerability, the risk and thrill of refusing to compromise your own needs.

Released in early 2022, the six-track project features “abcdefu”: a double-platinum anthem that held the #1 spot on Top 40 radio for three consecutive weeks, topped the Billboard Global 200 for nine consecutive weeks, hit the top 3 on the Billboard Hot 100, and propelled the Nashville-based artist to such milestones as earning her first-ever GRAMMY Award nomination in the prestigious “Song of the Year” category, being named as a Billboard Music Awards finalist, and earn such honors as American Music Award and People’s Choice Award nominations in “New Artist of the Year,” 2 MTV VMA nominations, a Kid’s Choice Award nomination, and an NSAI Award in their “10 Songs I Wish I’d Written” list.

Amid navigating that whirlwind success, GAYLE headed back into the studio to create a study of the human experience volume two—a powerful new EP that doubles down on its predecessor’s unapologetic truth-telling, revealing even more of her inner world and cementing her status as a singular and immediately fascinating songwriter.

Her massively successful major-label debut, “abcdefu” has now amassed over two billion streams, while she has appeared on major TV shows like “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” and “The Late Late Show with James Corden” and earned such accolades as appearing on Billboard’s “21 Under 21” list and on Variety’s “Power of Young Hollywood Impact Report” for 2022, as well as being named a YouTube Artist On The Rise and an MTV Global Push Artist.

With tours supporting Taylor Swift and P!nk, and a live show resume that includes touring with Tate McRae and AJR, and playing a run of shows with pop-punk legends My Chemical Romance, GAYLE aims for what she refers to as “messy imperfection” in all of her live shows.

“I truly believe that music is a unifying force, and I want to give people the space to be completely themselves and to see that there are other people in the world who feel the same way they do,” she says. And as she’s witnessed repeatedly in the past year, there’s a certain undeniable power in fully owning and accepting your truth. “My songs tend to come from being uncomfortable with what I’m feeling and not wanting to focus on it, but then getting to the point where I just need to get it all out,” she says. “If my music can help other people to make better sense of themselves, to come to terms with who they are and what they’re feeling, then that means the world to me.”
