Fusion and Nescafé: Igniting a Cultural Movement for Filipino Music

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — On June 26, 2026, the Filinvest City Events Grounds will transform into the epicenter of Filipino youth culture as Fusion: The Philippine Music Festival returns in partnership with Nescafé.

This year, the festival leaps beyond the format of a traditional concert to become a true cultural movement, all anchored on the rallying cry of Nescafé’s campaign: “Gisingin ang Mundo.” Nescafé Fusion is not just about putting on a show, it is awakening the youth to take action, to stand for what they care about, and to be one in support of Original Pilipino Music (OPM).

    Nescafé Awakens the Filipino Youth

We live in an age of uncertainty where economic pressures and digital fatigue often leave the youth feeling disconnected. Yet, a new generation of “Gleamers”, radical optimists who find power in small wins, is rising to combat the chaos.

For decades, Nescafé has been the daily companion that helped generations of Filipinos start their mornings and power through long nights. Now, it is using its legacy to fuel the youth with the language that resonates best with them: music. By merging Nescafé’s global scale with Fusion’s deep roots in Filipino music culture, we are rousing a movement that champions local artistry and human connection over the isolation of the digital world.

Democratizing the Stage and Empowering Voices

At the heart of Nescafé Fusion is a festival experience that belongs to the community. Students are no longer just spectators to history-in-the-making; they are co-creators of the movement. By working in deep synergy with student organizations, we are bringing together the brightest youth to build a festival that reflects the true spirit of today’s generation.

This commitment to the future is best exemplified by the return of Nescafé Fusion FreeJam, an intercollegiate battle of the bands. Supported by the Organisasyon ng mga Pilipinong Mang-aawit (OPM) and the Filipino Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (FILSCAP), FreeJam is a pillar in nurturing the next generation of Filipino musicians. Finalists receive financial support for their music journey and mentorship from the industry’s best directors and partners. They don’t just warm up the stage, they perform back-to-back with our headliners during the prime segments of the festival.

The movement is also bolstered by an unprecedented unity of media organizations. Cignal, a major media partner, brings the movement from the music community to the sports community through properties such as the UAAP to connect with youth culture even further. Myx, one of the country’s iconic music platforms, remains a long-time partner of Fusion, sharing our vision of promoting our very own music.

Walking the Talk: Sustainability and Community

Nescafé Fusion believes that global ambitions must be matched by local, tangible action. We are moving beyond the “table stakes” of sustainability to create a truly resourceful event that today’s consumers trust and champion. We are partnering with Briyo Energy to power parts of our festival using solar power, directly addressing the environmental impact and carbon footprint delivered by large-scale entertainment events.
We are also working with The Plastic Flamingo to ensure that concert plastic waste, which is significant in events of this scale, is upcycled into useful products, such as school chairs, that circle back to serve the student communities that define our roots.

A Unifying Celebration for the Future

Nescafé Fusion transforms the Filinvest Concerts Grounds into a vibrant, multi-sensory playground where the electric energy of the movement is felt in every corner. Elevating this experience is the Nescafé Mansion, a festival centerpiece that elevates on-ground experiences beyond the stage.

The festival’s lineup is a direct reflection of the youth’s own voices. Featuring a powerful roster of OPM icons like IV of Spades, Maki, Angela Ken, BGYO, Earl Agustin, and Arthur Miguel, the artist selection is meticulously guided by the performers that the youth listen to and relate to on their own journeys. Adding to the excitement, the Fusion FreeJam finalists are not only an opening act, they have a spot in the limelight, performing back-to-back with Fusion main artists during prime segments of the festival.

Beyond the music, Nescafé Fusion walks the talk in community support through the Nescafé Fusion Youth Village. This space will hold student entrepreneurs and youth artisans to sell their products without any concessionaire fees or commissions, providing a tangible platform for the next generation of young creators to thrive in a real-world setting.

The festival culminates in a powerful, unified moment when the audience gathers for the anthem, “Gisingin ang Mundo.” To be performed alongside university hitmaker Earl Agustin, this performance serves as the ultimate call to action, uniting the crowd in a collective chorus that champions Filipino music that we’re proud of.

Shared Rituals for a New Generation

The Nescafé Fusion experience is also a reflection of how the brand is evolving alongside the very audience it celebrates. As the culture of coffee shifts from a purely functional morning ritual toward personal “micro-moments,” the kind that defines one’s identity and social rhythm, Nescafé is meeting today’s generation exactly where they are.

Whether it’s through refreshing, on-the-go coffee experiences that fit a fast-paced festival lifestyle or accessible options for daily life, the brand is prioritizing versatility. By integrating into the social rituals of the youth, Nescafé aims to be more than just a drink; it serves as a companion to the moments, big or small, where young Filipinos continue to connect, dream, and shape their future.

Join us on June 26, 2026, as we transform the Filinvest City Events Grounds into a beacon of the Filipino youth’s creativity, hospitality, and hope. Together, we are building the next global cultural phenomenon in awakening the world to the heartbeat of Filipino culture.

Lock in your ticket on Ticketmelon and be part of the #GisinginAngMundo movement. Follow Fusion’s page for updates.

  • &FRIENDS FESTIVAL IS BACK WITH HEADLINERS GALANTIS, PORTER ROBINSON, SUBTRONICS, AND YELLOW CLAW

&FRIENDS FESTIVAL IS BACK WITH HEADLINERS GALANTIS, PORTER ROBINSON, SUBTRONICS, AND YELLOW CLAW

Manila’s Largest EDM Festival Is Back This Summer With An All-Star Lineup

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — &FRIENDS Festival, the premier electronic dance music festival in
Manila, returns on June 19 and 20 with its most expansive edition to date, transforming Okada Manila into a global gathering point for dance music culture. Leading this year’s lineup are four of electronic music’s most commanding forces.

Galantis is the Swedish dance powerhouse of Christian “Bloodshy” Karlsson — Grammy-winning co-writer of Britney Spears’ “Toxic” and a figure behind hits for Madonna, Katy Perry, and Kylie Minogue. As Galantis, Karlsson has crafted a body of work that has accumulated over 7.3 billion cumulative worldwide streams, powered by platinum-certified anthems like “Runaway (U & I)” — which earned a Grammy nomination for Best Dance Recording — and “No Money,” which saw a top-10 debut in 23 countries. Their most recent album Rx continued that momentum, featuring “Lighter” with David Guetta and 5 Seconds of Summer, which landed at number one on the US Dance Radio chart. Onstage, Galantis is a force unto itself — a euphoric, laser-and-fire spectacle that transforms any room into a singalong.

Porter Robinson is an American DJ, singer, songwriter, and record producer who began producing electronic music during his adolescence, signed to Skrillex’s OWSLA at 18, and has since made DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs list for seven consecutive years. His 2014 debut album Worlds — which peaked at number one on Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums and is considered a major influence on the broader sound of EDM — was followed by the Grammy-nominated Virtual Self project and the critically acclaimed Nurture in 2021, whose North American tour sold over 150,000 tickets and became the highest-grossing electronic tour of that year. His third album SMILE! :D, released in 2024, was supported by his biggest-ever world tour spanning five continents and over 70 dates, cementing Robinson as one of the most beloved and artistically ambitious artists in electronic music. His SMILE! 😀 tour included a stop in Manila — making his return to the Philippines at &FRIENDS Festival all the more meaningful for Southeast Asian fans.

Subtronics — born Jesse Kardon in Philadelphia — has headlined major festival stages across the globe, launched his own annual festivals, and built his own independent home through his label Cyclops Recordings. In 2023 he became the highest-selling North American electronic touring act in the Pollstar mid-year reports and earned DJ Mag North America’s DJ of the Year, while his curated events — including a three-day Cyclops Dome takeover at the Tacoma Dome featuring a fully immersive ceiling of motorized LED panels — have redefined what a live bass music experience can be. His most recent studio album FIBONACCI, announced live from the Ultra Music Festival mainstage and released via Cyclops Recordings in December 2025, arrived alongside a record-setting six consecutive sold-out nights at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles and a Coachella debut in April 2026 — proof that the Philadelphia producer is operating at the absolute peak of his powers.

Yellow Claw is a Dutch DJ and production duo from Amsterdam — Jim Taihuttu and Nils Rondhuis — whose music blends trap, hip-hop, dubstep, hardstyle, and moombahton into a relentlessly high-energy sound all their own. Over a career spanning more than a decade, they have accumulated over a billion plays and collaborated with DJ Snake, Steve Aoki, Gucci Mane, and Tinashe, while their own label, Barong Family, founded in 2014, has become one of electronic music’s most respected independent platforms with hundreds of releases to its name.

They arrive at &FRIENDS Festival fresh off their fifth studio album, Jesus Loves Trap Music — a 20-track statement built for blown-out speakers and mainstage mayhem, released on Barong Family in February 2026. Few acts on the planet bring the same raw, crowd-igniting energy to a festival stage, and Manila is in for one of the most explosive sets of the summer.

Rounding out an unmissable weekend, Monstercat — one of electronic music’s most influential independent labels — stages a full label takeover, bringing two of its most exciting acts to the &FRIENDS Festival stage. ARMNHMR, the Los Angeles-based duo who made history as the first Asian American EDM duo to hold a residency on the Las Vegas strip, deliver the kind of euphoric, melody-driven bass music that has earned them a devoted global following. Joining them is Arcando, the Dutch drum & bass producer whose crossover sound caught fire when Martin Garrix debuted his viral remix of “Jungle” at the Ultra Miami mainstage — and who hasn’t slowed down since.

WUKONG and KIARA also join the bill, both signed to Liquid State — the electronic music label founded by Sony Music and Tencent Music Entertainment, home to over 20 billion streams and artist releases from Alan Walker, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike and R3HAB, among many more. WUKONG has built a global following fusing Chinese mythology and traditional Asian instrumentation, pioneering the genre Oriental Rave that has taken Asia by storm, while KIARA brings her own distinct sound to what promises to be an unmissable weekend.

Joining them are standout subheadliners CHYL, Ian Asher, Level Up and Siangyoo, with additional artists to be announced in the coming months.

Regional support comes from Amanda Sze, DJ Cupcakes, Orange Juice Asia, and Smooth Brain Girly — four acts representing the next wave of Southeast Asian dance music talent.

The carefully curated lineup reflects &FRIENDS Festival’s continued commitment to delivering world-class talent while spotlighting the best of the global and regional electronic scene.

Designed as a fully immersive festival experience, &FRIENDS Festival will feature large-scale stage production, state-of-the-art visuals, and meticulously crafted show environments. Across two electrifying nights, fans can expect a seamless blend of music, energy, and spectacle — hallmarks that have defined the festival’s rapid rise.

Tickets start at PHP 8,250 and will be available via Ticketmelon, with Early Bird Tickets going live on March 25. With anticipation building across the region, attendees are encouraged to secure their passes early.

Since its debut, &FRIENDS Festival has established itself as a defining force in Asia’s electronic music landscape, hosting headline performances from Zedd, Illenium, Seven Lions, and Knock2. By pairing global icons with a new generation of fans, the festival continues to elevate Manila as a key destination on the international touring circuit.

More lineup announcements, ticketing information, and festival updates will be revealed soon.

  • OPM takes center stage as FUSION returns with a star-studded lineup

OPM takes center stage as FUSION returns with a star-studded lineup

The festival is back for another go, bringing together icons, rising stars, and a world-class production.

Get ready for an electrifying night of OPM as Fusion: The Philippine Music Festival brings together some of the biggest names in the industry on March 15 at the CCP Open Grounds. Headlined by Ben&Ben, December Avenue, and Zack Tabudlo, the festival promises an unforgettable experience with powerhouse acts like The Itchyworms, Barbie Almalbis, Alamat, KAIA, Maki, Jan Francis and ALLMO$T, alongside an exciting lineup of rising stars and dynamic DJs. Directed by Paul Basinillo and powered by Nestea, Nescafé, Bear Brand Sterilized, Hapee Toothpaste, Dazz Dishwashing, and Fudgee Barr, Fusion is set to be more than just a concert—it’s a celebration of Filipino music at its finest.

Founded in 2015 as the country’s first-ever Philippine Music Festival, Fusion was created with a vision: to unite all forms of OPM—across genres, generations, and managements—into one grand celebration. From the start, it stood as a testament to OPM’s power, bringing the nation together while delivering top-tier production value to showcase and support Filipino talent.

More than just a concert, Fusion: The Philippine Music Festival is a celebration of unity through Original Pinoy Music (OPM). Music is the heartbeat of the Filipino spirit, bridging generations and connecting the nation through a universal language. Over the years, Fusion has evolved into a cultural movement—a rallying cry for Filipinos to take pride in their artistry. More than just a festival, it serves as a platform that elevates homegrown talent, uniting legacy icons, global Filipino musicians, and emerging artists in a one-of-a-kind OPM experience.

“Now is the time to put OPM in the spotlight,” says Gladys Basinillo, founder of Fusion. “While international acts continuously fill arenas and festivals across the country, our own artists and music deserve the same level of support. Fusion is here to make that happen—to give Filipino music the recognition it deserves.”

“Looking back at the very first Fusion concert in 2015, our goal was simple: to unite artists from different genres and showcase the strength of Original Pilipino Music (OPM). Now, ten years later, we’re taking things to the next level—not just by gathering the best and biggest artists, but by redefining what it means to go to a concert,” shares Paul Basinillo, Event Director of Fusion. “If we can create top-tier productions for international artists, why shouldn’t we do the same—if not more—for our own? We want to bring back the thrill of live music—to make concert-going a must-do experience again, especially for the younger generation. Fusion 2025 is designed to be more than just a show—it’s an all-day, immersive festival that goes beyond the main stage.”

Fusion 2025 carries the powerful theme “Musika Natin ‘To!”—a call to embrace and uplift OPM with pride. This milestone event will bring together the best of Filipino music in an immersive experience that goes beyond performances, featuring interactive art, cultural exhibits, and a showcase of local flavors. More than a festival, it is a declaration that OPM is not just music—it is our identity, our pride, and our story as a nation.

“This 10th year of Fusion is a milestone for OPM, proving that Filipino music continues to evolve, grow, and inspire. But more than that, it’s a milestone for live entertainment in the Philippines. This is our chance to set the standard for what a modern Filipino music festival can be—something that rivals international festivals, with our own unique identity.” said Paul Basinillo. “This isn’t just about the past decade of OPM. This is about the next generation of Filipino music, artists, and fans. This is about bringing people back to live events, making concerts an experience they will always want to be part of.”

“As we showcase to the country and the world our passion for OPM, we hope to inspire more institutions, organizations, and every Filipino to join us in this journey of putting our OPM as front and center in our music scene,” added Gladys Basinillo.
