American Idol season 7 winner David Cook is coming back to the Philippines on July 14, 2012 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum and July 15, 2012 in Cebu at the Waterfront Hotel and Casino.

If you’re an American Idol fan then you surely remember David Cook of season 7.  He captivated the audience with his charming style and soaring vocals that ended up getting the title. Following his Idol success, David Cook released his first album, David Cook in 2008. The album received rave reviews, and after taking the crown on American Idol, album sales went very well to say the least. He’s the only artist from Idol who made a grand total of 11 new entries in one billboard chart week including the original song The Time Of My Life.  His self-titled post-Idol CD turned platinum with over 1.3 million copies sold in the US alone. Tears For Fears are coming back to the Philippines to do 2 shows in Manila and Cebu by Ovation Productions

Ovation Productions is bringing back Tears For Fears, one of the most successful and influential British synth pop duos of the ’80s will be performing at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on August 10 & 11, 2012 and in Cebu on August 12, 2012 at the Cebu Waterfront Hotel & Casino. Those who missed their 1 night concert last 2010, this is the time to relive and celebrate their music live in Manila and Cebu.

Made up of duo Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith, Tears For Fears enjoyed worldwide success in the 80s when British bands were setting the commercial and cultural bar in regards to pop music. They have sold in excess of 22 million albums worldwide spawning massive hits such as “Everybody Wants To Rule the World”, “Shout”, “Head Over Heels”, “Sowing The Seeds Of Love” and “Mad World”. Roland and Curt split in 1990 after their meteoric rise through the pop charts only to reunite and release a new album in 2004. Since then Tears For Fears continue to sell out shows throughout the world and maintain their status as one of pop music’s more productive musical collaborations.

Singer, songwriter and guitarist Michelle Branch was born in Arizona and she started singing lessons when she was 8 then learned to play the guitar at the age of 14 and was writing her own songs soon after. Branch played the local clubs and eventually was home-schooled by her parents so that she could pursue her dreams as a musician. Branch released her debut album Broken Bracelet in 2000 independently. She released her second album called Spirit Room in 2001 after she got signed with Maverick Records. This album included the hit All You Wanted and Everywhere. She earned multiple Grammy nominations including Best New Artist and Best Female Pop Rock Vocal Performance. She won her first Grammy for the song Game of Love with Santana.  She released her third studio album in 2003 including chart-topping singles Goodbye To You, Breathe and Till I Get Over You.
