Viva Music Group and GMA Network Forge Landmark Partnership to Strengthen OPM Industry
Two of the Philippines’ leading entertainment companies, Viva Music Group and GMA Network Inc., have formalized a landmark partnership aimed at transforming the local music industry and expanding opportunities for Filipino artists.


Through GMA Network’s content and production arm, GMV Studios, and Viva Music Group, the companies signed a 50-50 joint venture agreement covering various music-related businesses, including music production, recording, marketing, promotion, distribution, artist management, and music publishing.
The partnership marks the latest milestone in the long-standing collaboration between Viva Communications Inc. and GMA Network Inc. By combining Viva Music Group’s extensive catalog, roster of chart-topping artists, and expertise in music production with GMA Network’s nationwide reach, multi-platform presence, and pool of emerging and established talents, the venture seeks to create new opportunities for Original Pilipino Music (OPM).
Present during the contract signing were Viva Group of Companies Chairman and CEO Vicente “Boss Vic” del Rosario Jr., GMA Senior Vice President Annette Gozon-Valdes, Vicor Music President and COO Antonio M. Ocampo, Sparkle GMA Artist Center First Vice President Joy Marcelo, Viva Records Corporation President Verb del Rosario, and Sparkle Talent Management Assistant Vice President Tracy Garcia.
The collaboration between Viva Music Group and GMA Music aims to elevate Filipino artistry and strengthen the country’s music ecosystem by providing artists with greater support in production, promotion, and distribution.
Also in attendance were Viva Communications Chief Executive Officer Vincent del Rosario and President Valerie del Rosario, alongside Sparkle Consultant Lawrence Tan and Sparkle artists Princess Alijah, Vianna Ricafranca, Dollipop, Jeff Moses, Anthony Rosaldo, and Ysabel Ortega.
With a shared commitment to promoting Filipino culture through music, Viva Music Group and GMA Network hope to position the Philippines as a stronger presence in the global music landscape while creating more avenues for music discovery and consumption among audiences both locally and internationally.
