InnerVoices Returns with Heartfelt Christmas Single “Pasko’y Muling Darating” – A Song of Healing and Hope

Pasko’y Muling Darating: The OPM Christmas Anthem for Everyone Who’s Struggling This Season

As the streets are lit up with twinkling lights and the smell of puto bumbong fills the air, the pop rock band InnerVoices reminds fans that Christmas is not only a time of joy, but also a time of healing. On December 5, 2025, UMG Philippines released their latest holiday single, “Pasko’y Muling Darating.” It perfectly captures the bittersweet spirit of the season in a way that only these Manila mainstays can.

InnerVoices started out in 1991 as a group of four college friends from Letran College. Since then, they have changed members, taken breaks, and come back stronger after the pandemic. They are now a six-piece powerhouse known for mixing heartfelt OPM stories with the punchy energy of ’80s and ’90s pop-rock. Atty. Rey Bergado, the band’s founding keyboardist and songwriter, is still the band’s rock. He is joined by vocalist Patrick Marcelino, guitarist Rene Tecson, bassist Alvin Herbon, drummer Jojo Esparrago, and keyboardist Joseph Cruz. For more than 30 years, they’ve been a part of the live music scene in Metro Manila, filling places like Hard Rock Café Makati, Bar IX in Alabang, and Aromata in Quezon City with sets that mix their own songs with covers of old favorites.

Rey Bergado wrote and composed “Pasko’y Muling Darating,” it’s a thoughtful ballad that paints pictures of cold, lonely nights and the weight of unspoken grief—those times when holiday cheer seems far away because of personal problems. But, true to InnerVoices’ style of being positive, the song builds to a bright chorus: Pasko’y muling darating, may pag-asang dala sa atin, sa bawat puso’y may ningning, pag-ibig ang hihilom sa dilim. “Christmas is a time of healing for many of us,” Bergado said at a recent press conference.

“Pasko’y Muling Darating,” napansin naming mejo kakaiba ang Christmas spirit, parang the focus of the people ay yung mga problema ng bayan, politika, galit, pangamba, so parang natatabunan yung Christmas spirit, we made this song “Paskoy Muling Darating” to say na there’s hope amidst these chaos and difficulties and confusion.

‘Pasko’y Muling Darating’ is a reminder that hope always comes back, even on the darkest nights.” We all go through sad times, but we should still celebrate Christmas.

For InnerVoices, music has always been more than just notes; it’s a way to stay alive. Bergado, who writes songs on the side of his legal career, says that the band’s brotherhood has helped them get through tough times in life. He once said, “We’re not just a band anymore.” “We’re friends.” We are the godparents of each other’s kids. Even if we don’t play, we still see each other. That family connection is in every chord, which makes songs like “Pasko’y Muling Darating” feel like a hug from an old friend.

Stream “Pasko’y Muling Darating” now on Spotify, Apple Music, and all major platforms. Catch InnerVoices live this holiday season at their regular haunts—Hard Rock Café spots, Bar IX, or upcoming gigs announced on their socials. In a world that often feels heavy, their music whispers: The season of light is here, and it’s for everyone.
