Established in 2024, Film Concerts PH aims to elevate the Philippine entertainment scene by producing a novel live concert format, where symphony orchestras perform in sync with screenings of films and other beloved entertainment content, including video games, anime, and documentaries. ABOUT GERARD SALONGA & THE FILHARMONIKA ORCHESTRA
The Filharmonika Orchestra is the Manila-based orchestra affiliated with Film Concerts PH. Founded by conductor Gerard Salonga in 2005, it was revived in 2024 following a nearly decade-long hiatus. The orchestra consists of numerous players from the former ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra, the last Philippine orchestra that Salonga led as Music Director until 2020. Gerard Salonga is currently Resident Conductor of the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra in Kuala Lumpur, a position he has held since January 2019. He was selected by Maestro Jaap van Zweden from a pool of over 170 international candidates to act as Assistant Conductor of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra for two seasons from 2016 to 2018. From 2012 to 2020, he also served as Music Director of the ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra in Manila. In January of 2021, he began his term as the Music Director of the Orchestra of the Filipino Youth (OFY).

ABOUT JOHN WILLIAMS
In a career spanning more than six decades, John Williams has become one of America’s most accomplished and successful film and concert composers. He remains one of the most distinguished and influential musical voices. Williams has composed the music for more than one hundred films, including all nine Star Wars films, the first three Harry Potter films, Schindler’s List, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Jaws, Jurassic Park, Saving Private Ryan, Lincoln, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Superman, and the Indiana Jones films. He served as music director of the Boston Pops Orchestra for fourteen seasons and now holds the title of Laureate Conductor. In addition to his film work, he has composed several pieces for the concert stage, including two symphonies and over a dozen concertos commissioned by some of America’s most prestigious orchestras. He has received five Academy Awards and fifty-four Oscar nominations, along with seven British Academy Awards, twenty-five Grammys, four Golden Globes, and five Emmys. MOVIE SYNOPSIS
After the Empire attacks the Rebel base on the ice planet Hoth, the rebels are forced to flee. The Imperial fleet pursues Han Solo and Princess Leia, while Luke Skywalker crashes to the remote planet Dagobah, where he meets Jedi Master Yoda and trains him to master the light side of the Force. Sensing his friends are in danger, Luke rushes to rescue them and finds himself confronting Darth Vader, who reveals a shocking truth.
