Everyone’s Favorite Good Boy is Back in Manila!

Six months since his first visit to the Philippines, South Korean actor Kim Seon-ho is back for his fans for a second fan meeting in Manila called “Love to Meet Our Good Boy,” held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Saturday, July 22, all thanks to the number 1 leading Philippine clothing and lifestyle brand in the Philippines, –BENCH/.

The jam-packed Smart Araneta Coliseum welcomed him with loud, shattering cheers and a heartfelt greeting from Filipino Seonhohadas, who had longed for his return. Seon Ho was amused and couldn’t contain his joy as he saw his adoring fans fill the big dome. He said, “I really really thank you; I feel grateful for this warmest welcome I’ve ever had.” “Miss ko na kayo, Salamat po.”

Hosted by Robi Domingo, the fan meet started with a photo call for all his fans waiting to get a good glimpse of the actor. Followed by “Story Time” where he shares back stories with some of his interesting photos from “Touching the Void” his comeback project since “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha”. The actor shared a meaningful piece from the play as interpreted: “Whatever challenges you have in life, keep pushing. Don’t give up until you achieve what your goal is and what you want to achieve.” For people who don’t know, he began his career on stage and appeared in numerous plays before making his screen debut in 2017. During this segment, Seon Ho shared that he doesn’t have favorite actors because his seniors are great actors and actresses. Because of their footsteps, they were able to learn from their mistakes and be better actors.

They also talked about his recent movie, “The Childe,” which earned rave reviews from reviewers. When asked how he felt after learning that he would be playing a different role than usual, he shared that he tried his best and looked at a lot of references to be able to showcase this role well. He also shared during this segment his favorite movie, “If Only,” and reenacted his pose from “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha,” saying “talaga pong nahiya ako.” During this segment, he was asked about his prominent dimples. He said, “When I was young, my dimples were my complex, but when I grew up and became an actor, a lot of people liked my dimples.”

Moments for fans, the GAME TIME:

Lucky fans were picked to take part in games that brought them even closer to Kim Seon Ho personally. Being playful, shy, and down-to-earth, he welcomed his fans and was cool to play with them. Our personal favorite was the “Pictionary” segment, where Seon Ho was asked to sketch, and his fans guessed. Imagine being so near him, shaking his hands, and taking home a one-of-a-kind piece of art from Han Ji-Pyeong himself! A definite treat for Filipino Seonhohada indeed!

Another game was Spot the Difference.” This segment gave the big dome a 2 Days 1 Night vibe when Hong Du Sik’s eyes were placed on a challenge. As expected, he was able to spot all the differences in each picture despite the time limit.

What is a Manila visit without Pinoy Henyo? Seon Ho-ssi was able to play this iconic game with all the fans, and he was able to guess all the words correctly too! Speaking of fan service, Kim Seon-ho, who played Jung Je Yoon at 100 Days My Prince, cooked his favorite food, tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), and one lucky fan got to try it and left him a message. Speaking of Chief Hong to Chef Hong real quick! He shared, “I am not sure if I am doing this right, but I will do my best.” He said he had to only eat tteokbokki once a week, which is a “sad story,” and that he enjoyed halo-halo and lechon during this visit.

As the fan meeting was about to wrap up, Filipino Seonhohada prepared a fan project. It was heartwarming, and it even doubled when his first visit made him feel their Immense love and heartfelt connection. From “Ngumiti ka naman diyan, ako bahala sa ‘yo” to “Mahal Ko kayo,” they never failed to make him feel flattered and excited to go back to the country, welcoming him to his second home away from Seoul.

Knowing his warm, shy personality, Kim Seon Ho reciprocated the love, leaving a message for his growing Filipino Seonhohada. He said, “Honestly, I really missed you guys so much. It’s very unexpected that I’ll be cooking tteokbokki in front of a lot of people, playing games, and reenacting some scenes from my dramas. As one of the fans said, we are one family, and I am so happy to be part of this family. I would like to thank BENCH for this chance, this support to be with my fans. As an actor, I will cherish today as an unforgettable memory. Thank you very much!”

It was indeed a sweet, romantic Saturday for everyone who came and showed up to see the man behind the most beloved K-Drama characters. The event was a perfect opportunity for fans to get closer to every Benchsetter visiting the country. Meeting Bench Good Boy was a validation of the growing family that will keep Kim Seon Ho from going back to the country.
