Aiming to not only rekindle the spirit of the bloodless and peaceful revolution but also to inspire and intensify the ongoing fight against corruption, the People Power 40 Kick-Off Concert on Feb. 21 at Quezon Memorial Circle will now carry the theme โAwit at Aksyon Kontra Korapsyon.โ
According to the Mayors for Good Governance (M4GG) and Kaya Natin!, the concert seeks to remind Filipinos that the unity and courage that restored the countryโs democracy in 1986 can today be channeled in the fight against corruption.
โPeople Power proved that the Filipino people, when united, can stand up to injustice and demand accountability. This concert is a way to honor that legacy while encouraging citizens, especially the youth, to continue the fight for transparency and good governance,โ the organizers said.
Through this event, they aim to reinforce that fighting corruption is a shared responsibility for all Filipinos.
The concert will feature some of the countryโs top performers, including Ogie Alcasid, Janno Gibbs, Rivermaya, Ice Seguerra, Ebe Dancel, Pio Balbuena, Morobeats, Elmo Magalona, Arkin Magalona, Chelsea Alley, and Over October.
Adding color to the celebration are stand-up comedians Alex Calleja and Red Ollero, Iza Calzado, Bea Binene, and DJ JhaiHo.
Pre-show begins at 4 p.m., with the main concert starting at 6 p.m.
The riffs, the vocal melodies, the anthems, and the sing-alongsโฆ and that unspoken feeling of being a part of something you grew up alongside-to, that transformed into an experience larger than life itself. And that description barely scratches the surface of what it actually feels like watching seminal screamo/post-hardcore icons SAOSINdeliver the goods onstageโฆ thatโs right โ only loyal fans and followers will understand what makes the band one of the most important figures of the cherished musical genre/movement in the past two decades of their existence.
And SAOSIN wants to both celebrate and deliver that same sonic magic once again to its loyal Filipino fans, and this time around, theyโve included Cebu City in their run! Yep โ not only will they be returning to revisit Manila, but they are heeding the call of their Cebuano fan base, who have since proven their unmatched taste and overall love for all things excellent, especially music.
The shows โ part of the SAOSIN: Celebrating 20 Years of Self-Titled & The Hits Asia Tour 2026 โ will happen May 4that the Sky Hall Seaside Cebu and on May 7th at the Skydome SM North Edsa, and both shows will share the same ticketing tiers: PHP 6,000.00 for VIP A โ which includes a meet and greet group photo opportunity, an exclusive ID laminate, a signed poster and priority entry. VIP B tickets will be sold at PHP 4,000.00, while general admission tickets will be sold for PHP 3,000.00.
Tickets will officially go on sale on February 27th via SM Tickets outlets and will be made available online through smtickets.com.
Having released their debut EP Translating The Name in 2003 (with original vocalist Anthony Greenโฆ), it was 2006โs self-titled debut with singer Cove Reber that catapulted the band into grand territory and saw their evolution from a talented band with exceptional songs and talent, into a well-oiled touring machine armed with anthems for the generation. Currently comprised of founding member/guitarist/vocalist Beau Burchell, singer Reber, guitarist Phil Sgrosso, bassist Chris Sorenson and drummer Alex Rodriguez, SAOSIN has more than a handful crowd favorites under their belt: like the explosive โItโs Far Better To Learn,โ the anthemic โVoices,โ and the emotionally charged โYouโre Not Alone,โ to name a few.
Incidentally, the bandโs last visit to the Philippines was in November 2023, where they played a successful two-night run at the Skydome in SM North Edsa. A second date was added due to insistent public demand, as the originally scheduled show sold out quickly.
So you know what to do, Manila and Cebu! Take note of the dates and do not hesitate to secure your spot at a surefire legendary live experience. Celebrate 20 years of SAOSIN with us! Brought to you by PULP Live World.

World-class Filipino artists at the heart of Bonifacio Global City
DECEMBER 2025, TAGUIG CITY, PHILIPPINES โ Bonifacio Global City (BGC) and the City Government of Taguig is set to welcome 2026 with another one-of-a-kind festive event that will gather some of the country’s biggest local acts in one venue, NYE at the 5th.
After an exciting year that’s overflowing with milestones and moments that continuously shape the district’s next chapter, BGC is preparing for an all-out celebration to thank everyone who has become a part of its story this year.
This year’s program reflects the momentum that BGC is in right now, and aims to express a feeling of local pride and optimism, rooted in various breakthroughs that were achieved through synergy.
As one of the most international districts in the country, BGC and the City Government of Taguig’s choice to spotlight OPM is deliberateโin a city shaped by global ideas, nothing hits harder than coming home to the sound of our own.
At the core of the celebration is a powerhouse OPM lineup engineered to electrify the city. DJ Mars Miranda, Jay-R, Dionela, G22, Parokya Ni Edgar, TJ Monterde, KZ Tandingan, and SB19 lead the night with a succession of performances that reflect the full spectrum of Filipino soundโfrom nostalgic and comforting to modern and genre-breaking, but all proudly local.
Joining this powerful lineup is apl.de.ap, global Filipino icon and member of The Black Eyed Peas, whose presence bridges the local and international.
As 5th Avenue transforms into a living corridor of music and lights, the night extends into a shared visual journey. With immersive light choreography and LED satellite screens across the district, the entire community is part of the moment.
Capping off the night โ and the year โ BGC will light up the sky with its dual-zone fireworks display. The tradition has become a familiar part of the city’s New Year’s Eve, but it still carries that collective pause โ a moment where everyone looks up, takes it in, and steps into the new year together.
Since its maiden year, NYE at the 5th has become one of Metro Manila’s most anticipated events, and for good reasons. It’s one that’s known for effectively merging artistry, technology, and a shared energy that sets the tone for the year ahead. This year’s celebration takes a moment to honor the nowโthe victories and breakthroughs of 2025โwhilst opening the door to the next chapter, not only of BGC but of the people who live, work, and play in it.
This year’s celebration is made possible with the support of partners who share BGC’s vision to create connection and energy across the district. Globe, MG Motor, Pru Life UK, Vivo, and PepsiCo join BGC in bringing NYE at the 5th to life, shaping a celebration that feels true to the district and the people who call it home.
There are artists who write songs about love, heartbreak or growing up. Topics we already expect from the music we consume. And then thereโs Cavetown, who writes about all of that, but in a way that sounds like someone quietly sitting beside you while youโre curled up at your lowest. His music doesnโt tell you toย โget better.โย It just says,ย โYouโre hurting. I get it. Sit here as long as you need.โ
Thatโs why his first ever Manila show on February 18, 2026, at Skydome, SM North EDSA, feels bigger than a debut performance. Itโs not just a concert date. Itโs a chance to listen to the songs that once patched you together and this time, outside the safety of your bedroom walls.
Music that doesnโt demand anything from you
Some artists create songs that feel like fireworks, exploding, dramatic, loud enough to fill arenas. Cavetown creates songs that feel like a window cracked open at dawn, letting just enough air in to remind you youโre still breathing.
You donโt listen to โThis Is Homeโ because youโre feeling okay, you listen to it when things donโt make sense, and youโre trying to decide if you can handle tomorrow. โGreenโ is less a song and more a sigh youโve been holding since you were 15. โDevil Townโ isnโt a sad anthem; itโs the kind of track that says, โI donโt know why this feels heavy, but Iโm going to sit with you anyway.โ
Some listeners call his music love songs. Others call them coming-of-age songs. Some people donโt label them at all and they just call them comfort.
The point is, Cavetown doesnโt tell you what his music should be.
He lets you decide which part of yourself needs it most.
Healing is not always loud
Healing is rarely cinematic. It doesnโt arrive with inspirational speeches or a dramatic chord progression. Sometimes healing sounds like a quiet voice saying things you would never say out loud:
โIโm scared.โ
โI donโt know who I am yet.โ
โIโm trying, even if it doesnโt look like it.โ
Thatโs where Cavetown sits. Not in the triumph, but in the trying. His songs donโt fix you magically but they remind you youโre worth fixing. Thereโs a particular ache his music understands and thatโs the kind that makes your chest cave in without warning, the kind you donโt know how to explain to anyone else. It doesnโt try to wrestle that feeling. He simply hands you a blanket and says, โYou donโt have to outrun it just yet.โ
And when a song does that, it stops being โjust music.โ
It becomes a quiet kind of healing.
Hearing it live is a small โThank Youโ to yourself
Youโve listened to these songs alone, on buses, in bed, or while crying in the bathroom. Life has probably changed since then. You may have outgrown some pain and developed new ones. But those songs stayed with you, even when you didnโt notice.
Seeing Cavetown live is not a reward for being a loyal fan. Itโs a thank-you to yourself. Itโs like standing in a room full of strangers who have their own reasons for being there and realizing you all quietly survived something. Itโs hearing โThis Is Homeโ and thinking, not โI am healed,โ but โI am healing.โ Itโs that moment when you can finally tell yourself:
โI gave myself this comfort. I brought myself here.โ
No one else gets credit for it.
Not TikTok, not a best friend, not Spotify Discover Weekly.
Just you.
Thatโs what makes this concert different.
Itโs not just entertainment, itโs a gentle affirmation.
Not everyone hears the same song
You may sit next to someone who screams the lyrics back at the stage.
You may stand behind someone who closes their eyes and lets every note sink in.
You may see a fan clutching their own sleeve, breathing slowly, trying not to fall apart.
Every listener has a different version of Cavetown.
Some found a friend in the music.
Some found courage.
Some found an identity.
Some found permission to be gentle.
And all those versions will coexist in the same room on February 18.
Thatโs the beauty of it and no one will experience the concert the same way and thatโs exactly the point. Cavetownโs music doesnโt force you into a narrative. It meets you wherever you are.
You donโt need to have the right words
If you try to explain why Cavetown matters to someone whoโs never heard him, youโll probably sound unsure, โIt just feels safe,โ โI donโt know why, but it helps,โ โIt makes me feel okay.โ
Those arenโt weak explanations. Theyโre honest ones.
We are so used to justifying our feelings that we forget comfort doesnโt always need a reason. Some music comforts you because youโre hurting. Some because youโre healing. Some simply because you exist and you deserve softness once in a while.
Cavetownโs songs remind you of that, in the most human way possible.
And maybe when the show is over, and you walk into the Manila night, you wonโt have a grand transformation or a dramatic epiphany. But maybeโฆ
Maybe youโll just feel a little lighter.
Maybe youโll breathe a little easier.
Maybe youโll whisper to yourself,
โThank you for coming.โ
Not to anyone else,
but to yourself.
