Rob Deniel announces first-ever major solo concert at the Big Dome

Rob Deniel’s journey is one of passion, persistence, and undeniable talent. What began as a young musician experimenting with melodies in his bedroom has now grown into a full-fledged OPM success story. Over the years, Rob has carved a unique space in the industry with his signature retro-inspired sound, soulful vocals, and honest storytelling — a combination that has consistently captivated millions.

His rise to fame accelerated through a series of viral hits that showcased both his artistry and versatility. From early breakthroughs like “Miss Miss,” and “Ang Pag-ibig,” to the more recent fan-favorite “RomCom”  — a track that took social media by storm — Rob has proven his ability to create songs that stick, resonate, and inspire.

Rob continues to expand his artistry through reinterpretations of classic OPM, earning widespread praise for his heartfelt renditions of “Ikaw Sana” and “Nandito Ako.” His modern yet respectful take on these beloved hits introduced them to a new generation of listeners while honoring their legacy, further solidifying his range and musical depth.

All of this momentum built up to a career-defining moment at the recent RAAA Concert, where Rob surprised fans with the announcement that on February 27, 2026, he is officially headlining his first-ever major solo concert, The Rob Deniel Show, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. HAWTHORNE HEIGHTS IS FINALLY COMING TO MANILA FOR IF ONLY YOU WERE LONELY 20TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR

Filipino fans of emo and alternative rock are in for a historic night as American band HAWTHORNE HEIGHTS finally brings their If Only You Were Lonely 20th Anniversary Tour to Manila. HAWTHORNE HEIGHTS formed in Dayton, Ohio, in 2001 and rose to prominence during the peak of the emo movement, becoming known for their emotionally charged songwriting and relentless touring. Over the years, the band has maintained a strong global following and continues to connect with fans through consistent international touring and high-impact live performances. The current touring lineup includes JT Woodruff (lead vocals and rhythm guitar), Matt Ridenour (bass and backing vocals), and Mark McMillon (lead guitar).

For Filipino fans, the Manila concert represents more than just a tour stop; it is a long-awaited moment of recognition for a fanbase that has supported the band for years through streaming, social media, and word-of-mouth. The show also underscores the Philippines’ growing reputation as a key destination for major alternative and rock tours in Southeast Asia.

  • Makati in Full Color: A Proudly Pinoy New Year’s Eve Countdown Takes Over Ayala Avenue

Makati in Full Color: A Proudly Pinoy New Year’s Eve Countdown Takes Over Ayala Avenue

Ushering in a new year of hope, energy, and transformation, Ayala Land, the local government of Makati, and Make It Makati invite the public to welcome 2026 with “Makati in Full Color: Ayala Avenue New Year’s Eve Countdown to 2026.” Part of the broader Makati in Color campaign, the celebration brings together music, community, and Filipino pride in one of the country’s most iconic city streets. The New Year’s eve countdown at Ayala Avenue has been championing global Filipino artists since it was relaunched 3 years ago in 2023.

On December 31, Ayala Avenue transforms into a vibrant, people-first celebration starting 6:00 PM, as the city opens its streets for a night of live performances, shared moments, and collective countdown energy. Designed as a proudly Pinoy New Year’s Eve celebration, the event spotlights homegrown talent, Filipino creativity, and the joy of coming together as one community.

Headlining the night are two of the country’s most beloved acts: rock icon Ely Buendia, whose music has shaped generations, and chart-topping band Cup of Joe, bringing a fresh, contemporary sound that resonates with today’s audiences. Other notable performers are Morissette, Juan Karlos, Sofronio Vasquez III, Divine Divas, and Theater Group Asia’s “A Chorus Line”. Their performances set the tone for an evening that bridges nostalgia and the future, much like Makati itself.

As the clock strikes midnight, the Makati skyline comes alive with a spectacular fireworks display accompanied by a Filipino version of the ball drop, welcoming 2026 in full color and marking the moment with optimism, hope, and shared celebration.

For those looking to enjoy the countdown with added comfort and exclusivity, VIP tickets are available via TicketWorld, offering access to a dedicated VIP lounge with a buffet dinner, prime viewing areas, and a more relaxed way to experience the festivities while remaining at the heart of the celebration.

The night doesn’t end at midnight. Guests are invited to keep the energy going at the street party with beats by DJ Cupcakes. This is followed by an after party with beats by The Studio Dance Club, at Ayala Triangle Gardens, extending the festivities into the early hours of the new year.

More than a countdown, Makati in Full Color is a celebration that reflects Makati’s continued evolution as a city that champions culture, creativity, and community. As 2026 begins, Makati once again opens its street, inviting everyone to celebrate the future together.

“Makati in Full Color” is presented by Ayala Land, the local government of Makati, Make It Makati, together with Ayala Corporation, Globe Telecom and Circuit Makati with additional support from Avida.

  • OPM Takes Center Stage as BGC Rings In 2026 at NYE at the 5th

OPM Takes Center Stage as BGC Rings In 2026 at NYE at the 5th

World-class Filipino artists at the heart of Bonifacio Global City

DECEMBER 2025, TAGUIG CITY, PHILIPPINES –  Bonifacio Global City (BGC) and the City Government of Taguig is set to welcome 2026 with another one-of-a-kind festive event that will gather some of the country’s biggest local acts in one venue, NYE at the 5th.

After an exciting year that’s overflowing with milestones and moments that continuously shape the district’s next chapter, BGC is preparing for an all-out celebration to thank everyone who has become a part of its story this year.

This year’s program reflects the momentum that BGC is in right now, and aims to express a feeling of local pride and optimism, rooted in various breakthroughs that were achieved through synergy.

As one of the most international districts in the country, BGC and the City Government of Taguig’s choice to spotlight OPM is deliberate–in a city shaped by global ideas, nothing hits harder than coming home to the sound of our own.

At the core of the celebration is a powerhouse OPM lineup engineered to electrify the city. DJ Mars Miranda, Jay-R, Dionela, G22, Parokya Ni Edgar, TJ Monterde, KZ Tandingan, and SB19 lead the night with a succession of performances that reflect the full spectrum of Filipino sound—from nostalgic and comforting to modern and genre-breaking, but all proudly local.

Joining this powerful lineup is apl.de.ap, global Filipino icon and member of The Black Eyed Peas, whose presence bridges the local and international.

As 5th Avenue transforms into a living corridor of music and lights, the night extends into a shared visual journey. With immersive light choreography and LED satellite screens across the district, the entire community is part of the moment.

Capping off the night — and the year — BGC will light up the sky with its dual-zone fireworks display. The tradition has become a familiar part of the city’s New Year’s Eve, but it still carries that collective pause — a moment where everyone looks up, takes it in, and steps into the new year together.

Since its maiden year, NYE at the 5th has become one of Metro Manila’s most anticipated events, and for good reasons. It’s one that’s known for effectively merging artistry, technology, and a shared energy that sets the tone for the year ahead. This year’s celebration takes a moment to honor the now—the victories and breakthroughs of 2025—whilst opening the door to the next chapter, not only of BGC but of the people who live, work, and play in it.

This year’s celebration is made possible with the support of partners who share BGC’s vision to  create connection and energy across the district. Globe, MG Motor, Pru Life UK, Vivo, and PepsiCo join BGC in bringing NYE at the 5th to life, shaping a celebration that feels true to the district and the people who call it home.

Follow Bonifacio Global City for more details and updates on NYE at the 5th.

  • CAVETOWN Live: For Everyone Trying Their Best to Heal

CAVETOWN Live: For Everyone Trying Their Best to Heal

There are artists who write songs about love, heartbreak or growing up. Topics we already expect from the music we consume. And then there’s Cavetown, who writes about all of that, but in a way that sounds like someone quietly sitting beside you while you’re curled up at your lowest. His music doesn’t tell you to “get better.” It just says, “You’re hurting. I get it. Sit here as long as you need.”

That’s why his first ever Manila show on February 18, 2026, at Skydome, SM North EDSA, feels bigger than a debut performance. It’s not just a concert date. It’s a chance to listen to the songs that once patched you together and this time, outside the safety of your bedroom walls.

Music that doesn’t demand anything from you

Some artists create songs that feel like fireworks, exploding, dramatic, loud enough to fill arenas. Cavetown creates songs that feel like a window cracked open at dawn, letting just enough air in to remind you you’re still breathing.

You don’t listen to “This Is Home” because you’re feeling okay, you listen to it when things don’t make sense, and you’re trying to decide if you can handle tomorrow. “Green” is less a song and more a sigh you’ve been holding since you were 15. “Devil Town” isn’t a sad anthem; it’s the kind of track that says, “I don’t know why this feels heavy, but I’m going to sit with you anyway.”

Some listeners call his music love songs. Others call them coming-of-age songs. Some people don’t label them at all and they just call them comfort.

The point is, Cavetown doesn’t tell you what his music should be.

He lets you decide which part of yourself needs it most.

    Healing is not always loud

Healing is rarely cinematic. It doesn’t arrive with inspirational speeches or a dramatic chord progression. Sometimes healing sounds like a quiet voice saying things you would never say out loud:

    “I’m scared.”

    “I don’t know who I am yet.”

“I’m trying, even if it doesn’t look like it.”

That’s where Cavetown sits. Not in the triumph, but in the trying. His songs don’t fix you magically but they remind you you’re worth fixing. There’s a particular ache his music understands and that’s the kind that makes your chest cave in without warning, the kind you don’t know how to explain to anyone else. It doesn’t try to wrestle that feeling. He simply hands you a blanket and says, “You don’t have to outrun it just yet.”

And when a song does that, it stops being “just music.”

It becomes a quiet kind of healing.

Hearing it live is a small “Thank You” to yourself

You’ve listened to these songs alone, on buses, in bed, or while crying in the bathroom. Life has probably changed since then. You may have outgrown some pain and developed new ones. But those songs stayed with you, even when you didn’t notice.

Seeing Cavetown live is not a reward for being a loyal fan. It’s a thank-you to yourself. It’s like standing in a room full of strangers who have their own reasons for being there and realizing you all quietly survived something. It’s hearing “This Is Home” and thinking, not “I am healed,” but “I am healing.” It’s that moment when you can finally tell yourself:

“I gave myself this comfort. I brought myself here.”

No one else gets credit for it.

Not TikTok, not a best friend, not Spotify Discover Weekly.

    Just you.

That’s what makes this concert different.

It’s not just entertainment, it’s a gentle affirmation.

Not everyone hears the same song

You may sit next to someone who screams the lyrics back at the stage.

You may stand behind someone who closes their eyes and lets every note sink in.

You may see a fan clutching their own sleeve, breathing slowly, trying not to fall apart.

Every listener has a different version of Cavetown.

Some found a friend in the music.

    Some found courage.

    Some found an identity.

Some found permission to be gentle.

And all those versions will coexist in the same room on February 18.

That’s the beauty of it and no one will experience the concert the same way and that’s exactly the point. Cavetown’s music doesn’t force you into a narrative. It meets you wherever you are.

You don’t need to have the right words

If you try to explain why Cavetown matters to someone who’s never heard him, you’ll probably sound unsure, “It just feels safe,” “I don’t know why, but it helps,” “It makes me feel okay.”

Those aren’t weak explanations. They’re honest ones.

We are so used to justifying our feelings that we forget comfort doesn’t always need a reason. Some music comforts you because you’re hurting. Some because you’re healing. Some simply because you exist and you deserve softness once in a while.

Cavetown’s songs remind you of that, in the most human way possible.

And maybe when the show is over, and you walk into the Manila night, you won’t have a grand transformation or a dramatic epiphany. But maybe…

Maybe you’ll just feel a little lighter.

Maybe you’ll breathe a little easier.

    Maybe you’ll whisper to yourself,

    “Thank you for coming.”

    Not to anyone else,

    but to yourself.

    Show Details & Tickets

CAVETOWN will perform live in Manila for the very first time on February 18, 2026, 8PM at the Skydome, SM North EDSA, where his music will finally step out of your headphones and into a space shared with people who understand what his songs mean.

It’s no secret that EL CAPITXN and SUGA of BTS are close friends. The two South Korean talents have collaborated on several projects, including SUGA’s ownD-Day and D-2 solo albums, where EL CAPITXN played a significant role in writing and music production.

For his upcoming concerts in Manila and Bacolod, happening on December 12 and 14, respectively, EL CAPITXN plans to play “Dear My Friend,” a song by SUGA from his album D-2, co-written and co-produced by EL CAPITXN.

As a teaser for the special performance, EL CAPITXN released a rehearsal video where he is seen playing the electric guitar to the chords of “Dear My Friend.”

The song has a special place in both EL CAPITXN and SUGA’s hearts who have both expressed how cathartic this song was for both of them.

In an episode of “Suchwita,” SUGA’s YouTube series, EL CAPITXN talked about how memorable the live performance of “Dear My Friend” was, sharing that he still hasn’t gotten over that moment.

He also added that when he realized SUGA was crying, it “only took a second” for his own tears to start running down his face as a “panorama” of old memories flashed through his mind.

It is for this reason that EL CAPITXN is excited to play the song at his own concert, giving it another life for a different stage.

ARMYs can look forward to hearing this song and more at “WHO KILLED EL? EL CAPITXN IN MANILA AND BACOLOD.” Tickets are now available at SM Tickets outlets and www.smtickets.com.

EL CAPITXN is a music producer, DJ, and singer-songwriter behind several K-POP hit songs including “Daechwita” by SUGA, “eight” by IU, and “Rendezvous” by AHOF. This December 12 and 14, the renowned hitmaker is staging his first-ever concerts in Manila and Bacolod.

“WHO KILLED EL? EL CAPITXN IN MANILA AND BACOLOD” is presented by CDM Entertainment.

  • Filipino Hard Rock Legends Wolfgang Reunite for 30th Anniversary Show

Filipino Hard Rock Legends Wolfgang Reunite for 30th Anniversary Show

Legendary and award-winning hard rock band Wolfgang is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the release of their highly acclaimed self-titled debut album with a reunion concert on February 7, 2026, at the New Frontier Theater in Cubao.

The classic line-up of Basti Artadi (vocals), Wolf Gemora (drums), and Manuel Legarda (guitars) will be performing together for the first time since 2000 following the release of their sixth studio album, Black Mantra. Gemora migrated to the United States following that album and the band went into a hiatus.

When Wolfgang reformed in 2007, Francis Aquino took over on drums although the band has performed intermittently over the last several years.

Thus far, the band has put out six studio albums (Wolfgang, Semenelin, Wurm, Serve in Silence, Black Mantra, and Villains), one live album (Acoustica), and a mini-album (Ang Bagong Dugo sa Lumang Ugat – Unang Kabanata).

The band kicked off their 30th Anniversary by putting out two versions of their platinum selling debut album (over 40,000 units sold) – dubbed “Wolfgang 30”, there was the standalone version that featured re-recordings of the classic, and the Wolfgang 30 box set that contained also the re-recording as well as a live and an acoustic mini-album via independent label, Eikon Records.

Most recently, the band’s music was the basis for the masterful rock opera, Si Faust, that sold out its entire three-week run at the Arete in the Ateneo de Manila University.

“Wolfgang the reunion was put together with the intention of bringing our fans back to their days when problems were few and bills were small and only the music mattered,” underscored Artadi.

“This has been a long time coming and I am super stoked to play these amazing songs with these guys,” added Gemora. “I am also excited to perform for our fans both OGs and youngbloods whose support is invaluable to me. Unfortunately, Mon won’t be present, but his spirit and lyrics will be definitely felt by everyone.”

“I am super excited about this reunion,” enthused Legarda. “Having re-recorded and mixed the Wolfgang debut album to celebrate its 30th anniversary, I am super fired up to play these old songs again. For sure, this will be an awesome show. My one regret is that Mon cannot be with us for this.”

“Mon” is founding member, bassist Mon Legaspi who passed away in 2022 but was able to contribute to the re-recording of their debut album.

Wolfgang will announce who will fill in for Legaspi for the New Frontier concert over the next few days.

During their 90s and early 2000s heyday, Wolfgang won a slew of awards from the NU Rock Awards to the Awit Awards, MTV Pilipinas Music Awards, Katha Awards, and the Asia Voice Indie Music Awards.

Another massive feather in the band’s cap is that they are the only Filipino band to have their music released not only domestically, but also in Japan and the United States.

Aside from Wolfgang’s legendary status, Ovation Productions felt that the band fit nicely along with all the other hard rock and metal acts they have presented through the years.

“We have previously promoted Metallica, Korn, Incubus, Dream Theater, Stone Temple Pilots, Bon Jovi, and Nazareth to name but a very few. Wolfgang fits nicely into that roster of top acts that we work with,” said Ovation Productions Chief Operating Officer Gonzalo “Bogie” de Guia.

The Wolfgang 30th Anniversary Reunion Concert is presented by Ovations Productions with Blast TV as the official media partner. Tickets for the concert go on sale this Monday, December 8 and can be purchased at Ticketnet outlets and ticketnet.com.ph with prices at Php 5700, 4700, 3700, and 2700, inclusive of ticketing charges.

  • Watsons Playlist: All the Feels Ignites Araneta With a Night of Catharsis, Community, and Pure Live Music

Watsons Playlist: All the Feels Ignites Araneta With a Night of Catharsis, Community, and Pure Live Music

The Smart Araneta Coliseum was alive with energy on November 29 as thousands gathered for Watsons Playlist: All the Feels, a multi-artist concert built around emotion, connection, and the power of OPM. The event delivered a steady flow of standout performances, smooth transitions, and crowd-driven moments that highlighted the depth of today’s local music scene.

Zack Tabudlo opened the show to loud cheers, immediately setting a strong emotional tone. His set drew the audience in with raw, heartfelt delivery, prompting large-scale sing-alongs throughout the arena. It was a powerful start that established the night’s theme of honest storytelling.

The mood then continue to be lifted when Hey June! took the stage, bringing youthful energy and upbeat charm. Their presence encouraged the crowd to relax and move along, providing a refreshing contrast to the show’s introspective opening.

One of the loudest reactions of the night came as The Juans appeared. Known for their deeply emotional “hugot” sound, the band sparked immediate engagement, with fans singing from start to finish. Waves of phone lights filled the venue during their set, creating one of the concert’s most visually striking moments.

Earl Agustin followed with a minimalist, calming performance that briefly stilled the arena. His warm vocals and stripped-down arrangements offered a quiet but meaningful pause, showing the effectiveness of simplicity amid a high-energy program.

A special collaboration segment soon brought The Juans, Earl Agustin, and Hey June! together onstage. The number unfolded starting with The Juans, followed by Agustin, then Hey June!, highlighting the range of OPM expression in a single seamless sequence. It was one of the evening’s most talked-about surprises.

Anticipation built once more as Ben&Ben stepped into the spotlight. Their entrance drew some of the night’s loudest cheers, and their set delivered a mix of lyrical warmth, tight harmonies, and emotional resonance. The band’s rapport with the audience was evident, with fans responding enthusiastically to each song.

Rico Blanco continued the momentum with a set that blended nostalgia and renewed energy. Performing hits that have defined eras of OPM, he commanded the stage with ease, earning strong reactions from both longtime listeners and younger fans.

The concert reached its finale with the highly anticipated collaboration between Rico Blanco and Ben&Ben. The pairing drew a thunderous response with their rendition of “Your Universe”, marking a rare cross-generational moment that underscored the evolution and continued influence of OPM.

All artists later returned for a collective finale that wrapped the night on a unified and celebratory note. As attendees exited the coliseum, many still buzzing with excitement, it was clear Watsons Playlist: All the Feels had succeeded in delivering a well-curated, emotionally rich music experience driven by the strength of today’s Filipino artists.
