Filipino alternative rock band Mayonnaise wraps up the celebration of their 20th anniversary in the Philippine music scene with a massive concert on May 20, 2023, at the QC Circle, from 5 p.m. onwards.
Dubbed MAYO 20: The Finale, the anniversary concert marks the legacy of Mayonnaise as one of the most important Filipino bands of their time, producing remarkable hits that resonate with listeners of all ages and backgrounds.
MAYO 20: The Finale serves as the culminating event in a series of shows that aim to give back to the music fans who have supported the band since day one.
“I’m honestly surprised that we’ve made it this far,” Mayonnaise frontman Monty Macalino admits. “MAYO 20: The Finale is more than just a celebration of longevity and all the great things that have happened to us. We want to give our fans what they truly deserve, and we want to return the favor by going all out with our performance. We will always be forever grateful to them for showering us with unconditional love and support.”
Late last year, Mayonnaise blessed their fans with a 20th-anniversary tour, performing at some of the largest venues in the country, from Luzon to Mindanao, and have continued to do so this year, playing a number of events domestically. On May 20, the five-piece alt-rock outfit will be culminating its 20th-anniversary celebration in a venue known for its iconic point of convergence: a heritage park that welcomes family-friendly and diverse gatherings.
Presented by Yellow Room Music and Killer Bear, and supported by Minsan Studios and Araw Sa Gabi, the finale show will feature a long set by Mayonnaise themselves, with the special participation of their music industry peers such as Barbie Almalbis, Champ Lui Pio of Hale, Sud Ballecer (Sud), Argee Guerrero (I Belong To The Zoo), and Josh Villena (Autotelic).

Halloween 2023 will be one for the books as emo superstars SILVERSTEIN will party and play in Manila!
As Filipino fans have proven time and again, watching a concert simply isn’t just about the music, but it’s an experience: joining friends and like-minded souls, jumping up and down in the pit, and singing loudly along to each and every live anthem – it’s all of this and more that makes each show memorable and unique.
This is why fans of millennium post-hardcore will be thrilled and smiling in their sleep as they count the days, as PULP LIVE WORLD has just made the official announcement that acclaimed emo icons SILVERSTEIN will be making a long-awaited comeback to the country this fourth quarter of 2023.
That’s right – vocalist Shane Told, guitarists Josh Bradford and Paul Marc Pousseau, bassist Billy Hamilton and drummer Paul Koehler – are bringing their A-game as they always have and have their decade-spanning hits in tow for their loyal Filipino fanbase to go-crazy-to this October 31st, 2023 at the Skydome at SM North EDSA. The show promises to be the loudest and most happening event on Halloween and will once again prove that the country has earned the right to call itself the “emo capital of southeast Asia.”
Formed in the year 2000 in Burlington, Ontario, Silverstein is arguably one of the most successful and both sonically and technically consistent bands to ever champion the genre, which is riddled with stadium-sized choruses, chugging riffs and trademark screamo dynamics that audiences just can’t get enough of. Having sold over a million albums, and has released a whopping 11 studio albums, their most notable singles include “Smashed Into Pieces,” “Hear Me Out,” “Discovering The Waterfront,” “My Heroine” and the anthemic “Smile In Your Sleep.”
The band has always had a deep connection with their Filipino fan base, and their performance this year in the country is a full-circle moment of sorts, as they had previously celebrated their 20th year anniversary back in January 2020 at the very same venue. Incidentally, the show was also produced by PULP Live World, so die-hards will definitely be eager to treat this as a special reunion of sorts. Needless to say, the singing will definitely be louder and the party even wilder!
Tickets to Silverstein Live in Manila will go on sale this May 28th, 2023 at noon, and will be made available via SM Tickets and smtickets.com.

WOODZ writes his own lyrics and produces the majority of his music. Further, he is well-versed in every facet of music creation and is regarded as an all-around musician. In recent years, he successfully released his second EP Woops! (2020), the single album Set (2021), and third EP Only Lovers Left (2021) with hit double tracks “Kiss of Fire” and “Waiting”. With the Only Lovers Left album, he achieved his first win as a soloist on The Show. In 2022, he came out with his fourth extended play, Colorful Trauma with “I Hate You” as its lead single.
WOODZ released his new single “Abyss” in February of this year, a soothing melody that deals with the theme of comfort and self-love. Following the release of this track, he announced his 2023 WOODZ WORLD TOUR [OO-LI], which strives to present WOODZ’s incredible talent to all of his followers, while examining the complexity and beauty of one’s uniqueness.
Before he kicks off his world tour in Seoul in May, the singer-songwriter will return with his fifth extended play OO-LI on April 26.
