  • The Vamps set to bring back memories with a 10th-anniversary tour in Manila

The Vamps set to bring back memories with a 10th-anniversary tour in Manila

The Vamps are gearing up to celebrate a decade together with a Greatest Hits Tour on February 17 at the Mall of Asia Arena. Playing a bit from each album and celebrating all the best moments from the past 10 years.

The British pop-rock band began their career on YouTube and have become extremely popular over the past decade. In a short amount of time, they went from playing in their parents’ garage to playing in front of thousands at arenas.

The Vamps (consisting of Connor Ball, Bradley Simpson, Tristan Evans, and James Brittain-McVey) are the first band to headline London’s O2 for five consecutive years. They have over six billion streams, over two billion views on their YouTube channel, and have released five albums. Since their platinum-selling debut album, Meet The Vamps, hit number 2 on the UK charts in 2014, the band has kept up a dream-like pace of albums (four in total, including 2017’s chart-topping Night & Day (Night Edition), which includes the Matoma-assisted global smash All Night), singles (eight top 40 hits, including five top 10s), and world tours.

After the tour for 2018’s guest-heavy Top 3 hit Night & Day (Day Edition), the band took a short break. Just as they were making their new album, Cherry Blossom, a global pandemic hit. The title is a reflection of the album’s theme of rebirth.

It’s a new start for The Vamps. Their most personal and fully-formed work up to this point, led by the dirty, sky-high banger Married in Vegas was made from afar while the band was in lockdown. The forced rest gave the band the time and space to carefully plan what they wanted the album to be and say. The Vamps have changed from a bright-eyed boy band with instruments to a full-fledged pop band that makes hits for arenas.

LNPH presale is happening on November 8, 2022 from 10am to 11:59pm via livenation.ph and November 9, 2022 will be the general onsale via smtickets.com and outlets nationwide.

Lola Amour releases new dates for Fallen Concert tour

Isn’t it sad when your favorite band has a show you can’t go to because you’re in another city? Thankfully, this won’t be a problem for Lola Amour fans, as they’re taking their Fallen Concert tour to different cities around the country!

Aside from performing in Makati, the OPM indie band is set to perform shows in Bacolod, Cagayan de Oro, Pampanga, and Cebu. This comes after kicking off their tour last July at the Ayala Malls Circuit Activity Center.

“We’ve only had a couple of out of town gigs in the past. I can’t wait to visit places I haven’t been to, and to play in front of new faces!” shared Raymond King, Lola Amour’s bassist.

Lola Amour’s next show will be at the Ayala Malls Capital Central in Bacolod this September 10. Admission is completely free, and fans can check out the mechanics of the meet and greet on the Ayala Malls Capital Central Facebook page. Lola Amour will also be joined by special guests Dizzy on Swings and &ND for the Bacolod leg of their tour.

After Bacolod, the band will have another show this September in Cagayan de Oro, where they’ll be joined by Soulthrll. Fans in Metro Manila and Metro Cebu can then catch them on various concert dates come October. Those watching their U.P. Town Center show will also have the opportunity to catch guest performances from Leanne & Naara and Arthur Miguel. The last leg of the Fallen concert tour will happen in Pampanga on November 12th.

Their line up of songs include fan favorites “Fallen,” “Maybe Maybe,” “Pwede Ba,” and a new song the band premiered last July called “Dahan-Dahan.” The tour marks a milestone for the band, which is something that lead vocals and guitarist Pio Dumayas acknowledges.

“As a band, we’ve always wanted to go on tour and explore places we’ve never been to. It’s been six years since we started, so I’m just really proud of how far we’ve come now that we’re going on tour,” he said.

After the band split up in 2016, she later focused on her solo career. She continued to rule the global music industry with the release of her debut studio album, Alpha, in October 2021.

For 18 years, Epik High has been a recognized name in the field. This renowned K-hip-hop trio, which consists of Tablo, Mithra Jin, and DJ Tukutz, has sold out concerts all over the world, and their influence has spread beyond Korea. Pentagon is a nine-member boy band that was created as a result of the survival program Pentagon Maker. The group made a successful debut on October 10, 2016, with their self-titled mini album. Over the years, they gained momentum and became one of the most talked-about KPop groups of their generation. Some of their songs include “Like This” and “Shine” — the latter of which gained popularity due to its catchy “hammer dance” choreography.

BM, J.Seph, Somin, and Jiwoo make up the coed Korean band KARD. They recorded a pre-debut song called “Oh NaNa” with Heo Youngji as a “Hidden Kard” before making their actual debut. In the 2017 Asia Artist Awards, their impressive debut earned them the Rookie Award. Jiwoo and Somin were chosen by Super Junior in 2018 for their song “Lo Siento.” KARD is presently touring North America as part of their WILD KARD Tour 2022.

Gaho is a Korean musician who also writes and produces music. He is a vocalist for the well-known hip-hop/R&B project group PLT from Planetarium Records. On May 3, 2018, he released the digital song “Stay Here,” which served as his solo debut. The official soundtrack vocalist for dramas like Itaewon Class and Start-Up, Gaho is very well known. Gaho and his band Kave have performed songs by Rose, Harry Style, Blackpink, and many others, including “On The Ground,” “As It Was,” and “Lovesick Girls.”

DJ Soda, whose real name is Hwang So Hee, is a popular Korean DJ who rose to popularity in Asia with her collaboration with Walshy Fire named “Never Let You In”. The song topped the charts in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia. In 2019, she received the Culture Prize for the Indie Artist category at the 9th Korea Hallyu Awards.

Filipino boy group BGYO, formed by Star Hunt Academy, stands for “Becoming the change, Going further, You and I, Originally Filipino”.
