Promise Kept: SUPER JUNIOR is Coming Back for Super Show 9 in Manila

Super Junior members are keeping their promise to their Philippine ELFs as they return for Super Show 9 in Manila this December!

Keeping their promise of return, Kings of Hallyu and global superstars, SUPER JUNIOR are making their way back to the Philippines to push through their grand reunion with PH ELFs as PULP Live World proudly announces the return of the SUPER JUNIOR WORLD TOUR โ€“ SUPER SHOW 9: ROAD in MANILA on December 17, 6 PM, and December 18, 5 PM, 2022 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Known as the timeless K-Pop group, Super Junior has recently celebrated their 17th anniversary, making them one of the longest-running K-Pop idol groups in the industry. Throughout their career, they made monumental marks with the records achieved by their songs and multiple awards given worldwide. Most recently, they won the 2021 Artist of the Year at The Fact Music Awards. But more than these shining trophies and recognitions, Super Juniorโ€™s most iconic mark is how they paved the way for the K-Pop industry to be recognized now globally.

Veteran K-Pop fans would know how this legendary group worked hard from the beginning to achieve the status they have now and generously share with other younger K-Pop idols. No one can talk about Hallyu without mentioning their group in the discussion. Adding to this is the fact that they are the first K-Pop group to ever perform here in the Philippines with Super Show 2 in 2010.

Now, as they continue creating works for the fans, Super Junior is now on tour with the 9th installment of Super Show. The tour follows the release of their 11th Album, The Road, which tells a message of moving forward as Super Junior continues their journey as artists. The show is specially dedicated to their fans, E.L.F.s. (Ever-Lasting Friend) – a fandom that is perfectly named considering their career in the industry and how their fans keep on supporting them today.

See the Hallyu Kings take over the MOA Arena once again!

Last August, Super Junior and PH E.L.F.s met in an emotional atmosphere but during those times, we witnessed how the connection and love of this idol group and their fans rise above all else. Now, as Super Junior returns, PH E.L.F.s are in for a much more exciting, explosive, and superb Super Show 9 experience! As they said, Super Show 9 is a show where fans will feel happiness and good energy โ€“ this is exactly what they will bring to Manila this December!

All roads lead to SM Mall of Asia Arena on December 17 and 18, 2022 for SUPER JUNIOR WORLD TOUR โ€“ SUPER SHOW 9: ROAD in MANILA. The show promptly starts at 6 PM on Saturday and 5 PM on Sunday. • Pinoy Rock Queens Acel, Aia, Barbie, Hannah, Kitchie, and Lougee to Stage Comeback Show this December

Pinoy Rock Queens Acel, Aia, Barbie, Hannah, Kitchie, and Lougee to Stage Comeback Show this December

ONE MORE TIME: The queens of Pinoy Rock are coming together for Tanawin!

Filipino rock queens Acel, Aia, Barbie, Hannah, Kitchie, and Lougee expressed gratitude to the fans for gracing their sold-out concert at Solaire last November 26, Saturday. And this December, the multi-awarded singer-songwriters will reunite for Tanawin: A Thanksgiving and Listening Party.

Due to insistent public demand, Pinoy rock queens Acel Bisa, Aia de Leon, Barbie Almalbis, Hannah Romawac, Kitchie Nadal, and Lougee Basabas are staging another run of their collaborative show at 123 Block in Mandala Park, Mandaluyong City this December 14, 2022, from 8 p.m. onwards.

This time around, the iconic women of the late โ€˜90s to mid-2000s OPM are set to perform together in an outdoor venue known for standing-room-only crowdsโ€”a deliberate contrast to the lavish, state-of-the-art halls of The Theatre At Solaire where they held their sold-out concert last weekend. The alt-rock royalties give a mighty salute to their humble beginnings, by harkening back to the era of playing for quaint hole-in-the-wall productions and channeling the unadulterated vigor of the gig scene with a mix of fearlessness and abandon.

Dubbed Tanawin: A Thanksgiving and Listening Party, the intimate gig serves as a medium to give back to the fans who have shown unwavering support and love through their decades of navigating stardom, setbacks, motherhood, uncertainty, and faith. It also provides an opportunity for the participating acts to preview new material and announce special projects that will see the light of day starting next year.

As the title of the show implies, Tanawin sees the beauty of gazing longingly ahead of time, be it out of reflection, curiosity, or admiration. As singer-songwriters find new meaningful ways to share music and deliver confessionals, the ladies of Tanawin are ready to put out new songs in the same way that theyโ€™re comfortable serenading the crowd with familiar hits.

“While it takes courage to step into the realm of the unknown, it is doable alone,” says Aia de Leon. “But why walk alone when you can party with sisters moving forward?”

Presented by GNN Entertainment Productions, Tanawin marks the second time that the six solo acts will perform together live. From their early days as lead vocalists of late the 90s/early 2000s bands to establishing their identity as individual artists, the six acclaimed singer-songwriters have proven their staying power with sold-out tours and concerts, chart-topping singles and albums, and a dedicated fanbase.

Regular and VIP tickets are available at PHP 1,300 and PHP 2,200 VIP respectively, for a limited number/time only. Get it here: bit.ly/tanawintickets.

MAMAMOO officially debuted in 2014 with the extended play, Hello, led by “Mr. Ambiguous”. Their debut received praise from critics which considered it one of the debuts in K-Pop for 2014. “Mr. Ambiguous” entered the Gaon Digital Chart at number 53 and peaked at number 19. They then followed up Hello with the EP Piano Man and a single of the same name.

The following year, the girl group came out with Pink Funky and the single “Um Oh Ah Yeh”. The song gave the girls their first top-three single on the Gaon Chart. In 2016, they held their first solo concert in South Korea, the 2016 Mamamoo Concert-Moosical. The tickets to the show were sold out in one minute.

MAMAMOO continued their breakthroughs with their first studio album, Melting. The lead single, “You’re the Best”, debuted at number three on the Gaon Chart and peaked at number one the following week. In addition, the girl group received their first music show win with “You’re the Best”.

MAMAMOO then launched their “Four Seasons, Four Colors” album series in 2018, beginning with the pre-release single “Paint Me” in January. The group’s sixth EP, Yellow Flower, which included the single “Starry Night,” served as the inaugural entry in the album series. “Starry Night” became one of the group’s most successful singles, earning platinum certification from the Korean Music & Content Association for 100 million streams in November and 2.5 million paid downloads in July 2019.

The girl group continued the album series with Red Moon, with the single “Egotistic” in July 2018. Red Moon, which debuted at number 25, was the group’s first appearance on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart. Blue;s, the third album in the series, was released in November 2018, along with the single “Wind Flower.” In March 2019, Mamamoo released White Wind, the final piece of the “Four Seasons, Four Colors” album series, along with its lead track “Gogobebe.”

MAMAMOO competed in the Mnet reality show, Queendom, where they came in first place. Following the end of the show, the girl group released their second Korean studio album, Reality in Black, and its lead song, “Hip” in November. Reality in Black debuted at number one on the Gaon Album Chart, marking the group’s third number-one debut. Additionally, “Hip” reached the top of the Billboard World Digital Songs Sales chart, becoming their first number-one single.

In June 2021, they released their 11th EP, WAW, with the lead track “Where Are We Now”. WAW topped the iTunes albums rankings in 21 different countries and sold over 40,000 domestic copies on its first day of release. In September, I Say Mamamoo: The Best, a compilation album, was then released alongside the lead track “Mumumumuch.” The album peaked at number eight on the Gaon Album Chart.

This year, MAMAMOO marked their return with their 12th EP, Mic On, and the lead single “Illella”.

From Day One to a Future Perfect with Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon, and Ni-ki

Formed through the survival competition series I-Land, ENHYPEN, composed of Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon, and Ni-ki, received much anticipation from fans and the public ahead of their debut. Their official social media channels garnered more than one million followers ahead of their debut and their first extended play amassed more than 150,000 pre-orders within two days.

The boy group officially debuted with the release of Border: Day One, led by the single “Given-Taken”, on November 30, 2020. The extended play took the number one spot on the Gaon Album Chart and broke the record for the highest sales for a K-Pop group debuted in 2020 with more than 280,000 albums sold in its first week of release.

Such success extended to their next releases, breaking their previously set records with every album. Only a year after their debut, the boy group became million-sellers through their first studio album, Dimension: Dilemma which sold more than 1.1 million copies in two months following its release. They then repeated that feat with their third extended play, Manifesto: Day 1. The achievements made them the fastest K-Pop group to sell more than one million copies of two albums.

ENHYPEN continued to receive recognition for their works from various award-giving bodies, including Album Bonsang from the Golden Disc Awards, Best Performance Award from the Seoul Music Awards, and Artist of the Year from The Fact Music Awards. They then brought the tour to the United States, followed by Japan. In 2023, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon, and Ni-ki will perform in Thailand and the Philippines in January and February 2023, respectively.

After having sold out their shows across Singapore, Melbourne, Sydney, Bangkok, and Jakarta, EPIK HIGH shows no signs of stopping.

Fans in Manila can rejoice at the good fortune of being the first Southeast Asian stop in the Asia Pacific leg of Chapter 2 of the tour. For one night only, EPIK HIGH Is Here – Manila will be staged at New Frontier Theater on Wednesday, 30th of November 2022.

    Epik High

Having previously made waves in the Philippines at the SM Skydome for their EPIK HIGH Parade Tour in 2014, this new tour marks the trioโ€™s second concert in Manila in conjunction with the release of their highly anticipated 10th studio album in two parts, EPIK HIGH is Here ไธŠ (Part 1) & EPIK HIGH Is Here ไธ‹ (Part 2).

The split of the album was intentional, mirroring the way traditional Korean novels were released in two parts giving time to take a break and process what you have consumed before moving on to the next. According to a recent interview with RollingStone magazine, the message behind this newest release is that EPIK HIGH is here even when you think no one is willing to listen. This album shares wisdom that only comes from the experience of 20 years of lows and some pretty epic highs.

Fans of EPIK HIGH – High Skool – will learn the groupโ€™s independence has merely whetted their capacity for producing the experimental and provocative music all have come to love. Expect to rave to emotive hip-hop track โ€œBorn Haterโ€ or universally loved hit โ€œHappen Endingโ€, and be challenged not to join in a nostalgic sing-along to classic chart-topper โ€œFlyโ€. Along with the characteristically playful antics of the forever young-at-heart man band, fans can be assured of a night to remember like no other.

    About EPIK HIGH

A trailblazing trio formed by Tablo, Mithra Jin, and DJ Tukutz, EPIK HIGH debuted in 2003.
