The award-winning singer-songwriter Ebe Dancel will be joined by ex-Sugarfree drummer Mitch Singson to honor the album’s lasting impact on the Philippine music scene!
Due to insistent public demand, Filipino singer-songwriter Ebe Dancel stages a repeat of Sa Wakas: 20th Anniversary Celebration, happening on March 31, 2023 (Friday), from 6 p.m. onwards at 123 Block, Mandala Park.
Celebrating the enduring legacy of Sugarfree’s iconic debut album, Sa Wakas The Repeat: 20th Anniversary Celebration will feature a longer, full-length set by Ebe Dancel and drummer Mitch Singson, as well as guest performances and surprises.
Presented by GNN Entertainment Productions and Backspacer Records, in partnership with 123 Block and Balcony Entertainment, the headline show will accommodate more people in the venue as requested by fans who were not able to attend the first one, which sold out in less than a day.
Part of the earnings will be donated to Parokya Ni Edgar guitarist Gab Chee Kee’s hospital and medical expenses. Sa Wakas: official merch is also available via Backspacer Records’ official website, and will also be sold at the venue.
Sugarfree’s Sa Wakas, which came out in 2003, took confessional songwriting to a new level with anthems that reveal stories and experiences that are too embarrassingly painful to talk about in public. Critically acclaimed when it first came out in the early 2000s, the influential album eventually inspired a huge following and prompted a fan to write/produce an award-winning rock musical centered on its narrative.
Tickets to Sa Wakas The Repeat: 20th Anniversary Celebration are available for purchase starting March 13 (Monday) at 6 p.m. via bit.ly/sawakas20.
Ticket Packages Available:
Regular Admissions (P1,500) – entrance to the event grounds
VIP (P2,200) – entrance to the event grounds, plus meet and greet with Ebe Dancel before the show, and a signed event poster.
VIP + Vinyl Bundle (P3,500) – entrance to the event grounds, a Habangbuhay 10-inch signed silver vinyl, plus meet and greet with Ebe Dancel before the show and a signed event poster.

David Foster’s career has spanned over 4 decades which has garnered him the title of “THE HITMAN”, having written and produced many chart-topping songs that have propelled several artists to star status and have gone down the music industry’s history as legends, such as Whitney Houston, Madonna, Celine Dion, Barbra Streisand, and Michael Bublé.
He has created culture-defining soundtracks for blockbuster films including Joel Schumacher’s coming-of-age motion picture St. Elmo’s Fire, James Bridges’ 1980 flick Urban Cowboy, and Mick Jackson’s The Bodyguard starring Whitney Houston for her acting debut. His record-breaking work in the industry awarded him 16 Grammy Awards, an Emmy, and Golden Globe award, 3 Oscar nominations, and the famous star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame to state a few. He ventured into television as a judge for Asia’s Got Talent for 3 seasons and for the first season of Chinese station Hunan TV’s World’s Got Talent. Foster’s popularity in Asia proves to be unmatched with sold-out shows at every stop of his David Foster & Friends Asia Tour.
In recent years, the world-renowned entertainer has toured across the United States to stage various performances of his show “An Intimate Evening with David Foster” some of which have been broadcasted on television across the country. Barbie Almalbis is set to perform some of the most notable hits of her career in three separate sets.
Filipino alt-rock icon Barbie Almalbis celebrates her 25th year in the music industry with a concert chronicling her career as an artist who helped build Pinoy rock into what it is today: borderless and constantly evolving, shattering the assumption that the movement is “a Man’s Man’s World.”
Aptly titledFirewoman: 25 Years of Barbie Almalbis, the show will reunite two of her supergroups, Hungry Young Poets and Barbie’s Cradle for a special moment filled with vigor, nostalgia, and appreciation. Almalbis will be performing some of the biggest and most notable hits of her career in three separate sets: as a frontwoman of the aforementioned bands, and as a solo artist who managed to make a name for herself.
“While this is truly a dream for me, it was GNN Entertainment Productions who first believed it could happen and conceptualized the show,” the Tabing Ilog hitmaker reveals. “We reached out Ricci Gurango, Franklin Benitez, Rommel de la Cruz, Wendell Garcia, and Kakoy Legaspi, and we’re delighted that they were all excited to do it too. Ricci, who now lives in the US, is coming home to the Philippines for the show.”
Firewoman: 25 Years of Barbie Almalbis was conceived last year to honor the award-winning singer-songwriter’s contribution to OPM, and to celebrate her staying power with anthems that proved to be impactful to listeners of all ages.
“I’m just so excited to play alongside some of my old friends, who also happen to be some my favorite musicians,” Almalbis shares in an official press statement. “We have so many great memories, making music, touring, and growing up together. They’ve taught me so much over the years. I’m just so grateful for this opportunity to jam with all of them on the show. I’m also looking forward to sharing the stage with many other artists I admire.”
The event is set to take place at 123 Block in Mandala Park on Saturday, March 11, 2023, from 2 p.m. onwards. It will also feature performances by some of the country’s finest acts, including Sandwich, Gab Alipe of Urbandub, Clara Benin, I Belong To The Zoo, Kai del Rio, and Bird.
Almalbis also attributes her success as a musician, a woman, and a person of influence to her team’s dedication and hard work.
She adds, “I’m so grateful to be still playing, making music, and enjoying it a lot. It helps that I’m not doing it alone: my husband, who also loves music, helps me, especially during times when I find it hard to write. He’s a constant sounding board for ideas. Our daughter Stina has been joining in a lot lately too. I’m also so grateful for an excellent team: our manager Tommy, our road manager Morris, and the band: Karel, Nikko, and Jonard. And of course, the one who holds the whole thing together. So much of my career was something I didn’t plan, so I always do my best to look to God and follow where he takes me. Music is such a gift; I’m praying I get to do it until I’m old and gray.”
Firewoman: 25 Years of Barbie Almalbis is presented by GNN Entertainment Productions, in partnership with Sony Music Entertainment, Backspacer Records, JB Music, Nova Wellness Store, and 123 Block.
Tickets to the show are available for purchase starting February 13 (Monday) at 6pm via TicketMelon.

Let’s set off our emo hearts and prepare to bang our heads to the tune of the tracks of one of the most sought-after American rock bands, SAOSIN, as they head to the Philippines with a massive solo tour!
PULP Live World together with Skesh Entertainment proudly announces SAOSIN ASIA TOUR 2023 LIVE IN MANILA happening on March 26, 2023, at Skydome, SM City North EDSA. This show is a trip down memory lane and an experiential chronicle of the band’s epic journey in the music industry as we witness them perform all their albums and hits live at this special one-night show in Manila!
SAOSIN originated in Orange County, California in 2003. Since its inception, the band has released three studio albums, three extended plays (EPs), and eight singles. Their first EP, Translating The Name, became their ticket to success as it was greatly received by a generation of emo and post-hardcore rock fans in the US. As soon as its release, it immediately earned over 62,000 album sales. At the present, SAOSIN has released a vinyl version of the said EP together with a special merch collection which has also immediately sold out after a few weeks!
In 2006, SAOSIN released its first full-length album, Saosin. The album is welcomed with good feedback from music critics and listeners. The first single, “Voices” was listed on the “Top 46 posthardcore songs of the 2000s”, and the second single “You’re Not Alone” was listed on the Top 10 Essential Emo Power Ballads by the Alternative Press.
Their second studio album, In Search of Solid Ground, and third studio album, Along The Shadow, followed the success of their previous album and singles. Aside from sold-out albums, SAOSIN’s career soared as they went on consecutive tours from the US going all the way to Europe, Asia, and Australia. It was indeed a triumphant story since they are a band that started as front liners of other bands and then, they get to travel around the globe as they headline huge music festivals and do their solo shows.
In 2023, SAOSIN is set to conquer Asia, including Manila as one of their stops, with a gigantic solo show that will surely trigger nostalgia in the hearts of their long-time fans. Singing all their albums and hits, cover to cover, SAOSIN members Anthony Green (Vocals), Beau Burchell (Guitars), Chris Sorenson (Bass), and Alex Rodriguez (Drums), invite all Filipino emo and rock fans to join them in this one-night special show.
On March 26, 2023, let go of your control and just go with the flow of your emotions as SAOSIN takes us on an explosive musical journey! Catch them live at SAOSIN ASIA TOUR 2023 LIVE IN MANILA at the Skydome, SM City North EDSA. Doors open at 6PM and the show starts at 8PM. This show is powered by Skesh Entertainment and PULP Live World. Secure your tickets starting December 30, 12NN via SM Tickets outlets nationwide or online thru www.smtickets.com.
