On a cool and cozy January evening, Filipino fans converged at the Mall of Asia Arena for their long-awaited musical rendezvous with Michael Buble. The Philippines has always had a special place in the Canadian singer’s heart—he even called it his home—for it is his Filipino fans that gave him his first big break.
New York a capella group Naturally 7, opened the stage with their virtuoso voices. The lack of instrumentation highlighted their vocal play: their voices mimicked the instruments that each of them acted out. They warmed up the crowd, calling on them to dance as a sort of initiation before handing the stage over to Mr. Buble.

Snippets of distortion guitars and the bass drum interrupted the jazz tunes that kept the crowd-in-waiting company. With the lights gone, and the chilly air engulfing the theater, what came next surprised all. With a bang, the opening act jumped right into song. They steered the atmosphere to that of a rock show with their punk rock melodies, fast beats, and head banging.
They ignited crowd interaction as hundreds of hands clapped in the air. Julz Savard, the lead singer, introduced the band as Save Me Hollywood. Throughout their 30-minute set, her witty remarks kept the crowd entertained.
The synthesis of pop, reggae, rock and R&B washed over the confines of the Newport Performing Arts Theater as Magic! began their set list with Stupid Me.
“Manila, are you ready??” lead vocalist Nasri Atweh asked.

Singer and 5-time Grammy Award winner Lionel Richie, changed the mood for good for his fans during his concert All the hits – All night long at the Araneta Coliseum last April 5, 2014.
The music junkie spilled the magic of melody to his fans including hits from his days with Commodores and from his successful solo career. It was his second time in the country, the first was with The Commodores, the funk/soul band who introduced “Sweet Love” and “Fancy Dancer” that he fronted, they performed at the same venue back in 1978 so it was indeed a long overdue for his fans after he went solo. The fans went untamed as the light dimmed and began to play around. When we heard a notable voice saying “Hello, is it me you’re looking for?” which drew resonant cheers from the crowd following an uninterrupted transition to singing his first song entitled “Just for You”.

September 28 , 2013 – The Big Dome was overtaken by two of the industry’s most talented female performers. For the first time, Aiza Seguerra and Charice Pempengco headlined a major concert, drawing in thousands of people and leaving the in awe. In the three-hour concert, the two gave such powerful performances that proved their brilliance as artists.
A stunning entrance struck the Big Dome as the evening’s stars, Aiza and Charice, sang and danced to a medley of Michael Jackson’s “Black and White”, “Beat It” and “The Way You Make Me Feel”. Aiza was dressed in her usual all-black fashion while Charice wore a light blue suit. Seeing the two together onstage for the first time, one can immediately see the joint effort they put in together – Charice with her high notes and unerring charisma and Aiza with her natural sincerity and the voice to express it well.
