The indie pop/rock quartet will be performing original songs from their three acclaimed albums, as well as favorite covers from back in the day.
The Bloomfields are gearing up for a nostalgic trip through time with Byaheng Mahiwaga, a special 20th-anniversary show happening on October 25, 2024, at Fin and Claw, Timog, Quezon City.
The psychedelic four-piece act will treat fans to a night of memorable music and fun as they perform some of the most iconic originals from their catalog, along with notable covers from their repertoire.

Byaheng Mahiwaga: The Bloomfields 20th Anniversary Gig maps their collective journey as a group who has gone through several challenges in their career and personal relationships but managed to surmount the odds and embrace each other’s quirks.
“Now we feel more confident in making our own decisions and navigating the industry independently as we’ve grown,” the Bloomfields explain in a press statement.
The Bloomfields describe turning 20 as a band realizing their dreams. According to the indie pop/rock quartet, discovering their sense of purpose is the most fulfilling part of this journey. “Even though we’ve been playing together for so long, realizing that music is our calling keeps us inspired and motivated to create. This sense of purpose allows us to set aside our egos and fully commit to something bigger than ourselves, which has been key to our longevity in the local music scene.”
The highly anticipated event will include a full-length set from The Bloomfields, a performance by High Targets, a Motown-influenced ska/reggae band, and a special reunion with former bandmate Dino Pascual, who is preparing to launch his solo career next year.

Internationally acclaimed actress and BAFTA and Golden Globe-nominated Dolly De Leon had a sit-down interview with the members of the media ahead of their play Request sa Radyo.
Dolly revealed that she first became interested in the play last year due to its focus on mental health, a topic she holds dear. She shared that she decided to accept the play immediately, without consulting her team or anyone else. She hopes that the play will raise awareness about mental health and the misconception that people who appear happy are actually not. Reb Atadero is an award-winning Filipino actor, singer, host, voice actor, director, and content creator. Notable for his work on stage, he recently portrayed Seymour Krelborn in Little Shop of Horrors, Mark Cohen in Rent, M in Lungs, and Michael in Tick, Tick… Boom!, which earned him the PHILSTAGE Gawad Buhay Award for Outstanding Male Featured Actor in a Musical. He was also nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor for Ang Huling El Bimbo in 2019. Throughout his 18-year career, Reb has worked with top Philippine theatre companies such as Atlantis Theatrical and Repertory Philippines. In addition to his acting achievements, he has directed productions for Ateneo Blue Repertory and co-founded the Company of Actors in Streamlined Theatre. He is also known for creating educational content as @rebranger on YouTube, Spotify, and TikTok.
LAURENCE MOSSMAN AS OLAF
Laurence is an accomplished international musical theatre performer, currently starring as Thuy in the 2023-2024 Australian and Asian tour of Miss Saigon. He holds a First Class Honours degree in Music from the University of Otago, New Zealand, with training in Classical Singing. After relocating to Manila, Philippines, he became a member of the vocal trio Primo, regularly performing at Resorts World Manila, and made his television debut on ABS-CBN’s Dolce Amore. Laurence’s theatre debut came in 2016 with Fun Home alongside Lea Salonga, and he gained further recognition as Charlie Price in Kinky Boots. He has also performed in A Christmas Carol and Mamma Mia. Laurence recently signed with Creative Artists Management and plans to move to London in 2025 to advance his career in the West End.
JOREEN BAUTISTA AS ANNA
Joreen Bautista is a talented theatre actress known for her captivating performances both on stage and online. Gab Pangilinan is a versatile stage and screen actor known for her standout performances in Philippine theater. Some of her notable roles include Young Joy in Ang Huling El Bimbo, Roxane in Mula sa Buwan, Cathy Hiatt in The Last Five Years, Daisy Hilton in Side Show, and Prinsesa Mina in Tagu-taguan Nasaan Ang Buwan. In 2021, she won Best Leading Female Performance in the Digital Category at the 27th Asian Television Awards for Still (Viu Originals). Gab has also been nominated twice for the Philstage Gawad Buhay Awards for her roles in The Last Five Years (2023) and Mula Sa Buwan (2022). RYU and KYO are short for the middle names of Sean and Lachlan—Ryusuke and Kyohei—which adds a personal and cultural layer to the project. Interestingly, “KYORYU” translates to “dinosaur” in Japanese, a fitting title for a band that continues to evolve while paying homage to their roots.

Leading minds in the global music industry “Music Beyond Borders” will feature a series of educational and artist-focused career development talks and speeches by leaders from the international music industry. NEW FORMATS AND NEW SUSTAINABILITY STANDARDS
In tandem with Coldplay’s ground-breaking sustainability measures on their current world tour – which has so far produced 59% less CO2e emissions than their previous stadium tour – the band have gone to great lengths to make the physical release of Moon Music as sustainable as possible. This is the world’s first album released as a 140g EcoRecord rPET LP, with each copy made from 9 recycled PET-plastic bottles recovered from post-consumer waste. Additionally, the band have collaborated with long-time partners The Ocean Cleanup to create an additional format: the Notebook Edition LP. The rPET for this edition comprises 70% river plastic, intercepted by The Ocean Cleanup from the Rio Las Vacas, Guatemala, and prevented from reaching the Gulf of Honduras and the Atlantic Ocean. The standard CD editions of Moon Music will be the world’s first to be released on EcoCD, created from 90% recycled polycarbonate, sourced from post-consumer waste streams. In an effort to reduce waste, the first edition run of Moon Music (both EcoRecord LP and EcoCD) will be strictly limited and produced at a higher specification than any future editions. All First Edition EcoRecord LP products will be individually numbered. Moon Music is Coldplay’s first album since 2021’s Music Of The Spheres, which spawned the US Number One single with BTS, My Universe, and was nominated for Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards. Music Of The Spheres has accumulated more than four billion streams.

HORI7ON ups the anticipation for their return to the Philippine concert stage as the global boy group is set to reveal their newest song at the DAYTOUR: ANCHOR HIGH concert!
HORI7ON (Vinci, Kim, Kyler, Reyster, Winston, Jeromy, and Marcus) will release a new song on November 3rd, according to their agency, MLD Entertainment.
This new song, which embraces the seven lads’ coming-of-age transition and displays their unexpected charms, stands out due to its hip-hop pace and potent rap lines. It signals a departure from the group’s youthful image. HORI7ON, who is renowned for bringing vivacious and energizing energy, is anticipated to welcome listeners worldwide with a more sophisticated persona than their prior concept.
Fans’ interest and eagerness are growing as the new song will be unveiled for the first time at HORI7ON’s second concert, “DAYTOUR: ANCHOR HIGH,” which will take place in Manila, Philippines.
HORI7ON had previously released and widely promoted a rendition of the iconic Filipino boy band The Boyfriends’ song “SUMAYAW SUMUNOD“. They exhibited their increased musical abilities and presented hopeful sentiments, establishing their place as “youth icons.”

Filipino singer-songwriter Shanne Dandan has announced the release of her highly anticipated debut album, Kung Iyong Mamarapatin—officially due out on October 25, 2024, via Viva Records.
The 10-track album serves as an elegy for the unrealized self and a hopeful anthem for what is yet to come. Shanne penned and recorded the upcoming release after experiencing profound sadness and struggling to give herself the grace and acceptance she deserves.
“Growing up, I’ve always sung what my mother and grandmother listened to,” says the indie-folk act. The way a singer uses their voice to tell a story has always resonated with me. Kung Iyong Mamarapatin is about saying goodbye to my broken dreams in hopes of creating new, brighter ones.”
To celebrate the release of her debut album, the “Iyakin” recording artist will perform the new songs for the first time, with some live sonic surprises and a bigger backing band. The album launch will take place at Sari-Sari Cocktails in Makati City on October 25, 2024, starting at 7 p.m. Joining Shanne Dandan are some of her music peers in the local music scene, including syd hartha, Coeli, jikamarie, and ALYSON.
“I think there will be a lot of crying to expect from my album launch,” Shanne adds. Be it happy tears or not, I want to make people feel however they want to feel through my music and just let all their emotions flow. For that night, I will be performing with a bigger band than usual. I’ll be playing all the songs from the album with the people I recorded the album with.”

Netflix has now released the key art and additional photos for Outside, the streaming platform’s first zombie, psychological thriller from the Philippines.
At the center of the key art is the disheveled family patriarch, Francis (Sid Lucero) wielding a shovel as he buries something in the ground. The image conveys a feeling of unease, capturing how what was once familiar has become mere remnants of a distant, safer past. What remains are attempts to navigate a fragile and unstable reality, with secrets waiting to be uncovered.
The trailer closes with Francis appearing to burst through the title card and the slogan, “You can’t keep out what’s already inside,” and entering the chamber where Iris and Lucas are hiding.
During the Netflix APAC Southeast Asia Showcase in Indonesia, the director of “Outside” reveals that the film is more than just a zombie movie. The director describes it as a “terrifying psychological thriller.”
