Through genre-bending collaborations and a stage built for discovery, Coke Studio has helped push OPM from local airwaves to global playlists.
This year, Coca-Cola Philippines celebrates Coke Studio’s 10th season under the theme “Dinig Ang Pinas,” marking a decade of the platform’s commitment to championing Filipino music. To mark the milestone, Coke Studio brings together legendary OPM artists KZ Tandingan, Ben&Ben, and Al James for a special anthem release titled “Sumabay Ka“, a track inspired by Filipino stories and the artists’ own Coke Studio journeys, honoring ten years of giving Filipino music a bigger stage to be heard.
This season, Coke Studio legends take center stage once again, not just as performers, but as storytellers and cultural champions, each offering a fresh take on the legacy they helped build. The lineup features KZ Tandingan, Asia’s Soul Supreme; Ben&Ben, the nine-piece folk-pop band behind some of OPM’s most streamed anthems; and rapper and hitmaker Al James, known for blending hip-hop with distinctly Filipino storytelling.
Since its launch in the Philippines, Coke Studio has grown from a single-season collaboration series into one of the country’s most recognized platforms for original Filipino music. From Season 1 to 9, the platform has featured 75 Filipino artists and produced tracks that have amassed over million views on YouTube, including standout hits like Blooming by BINI, and songs by Sarah Geronimo, Moira Dela Torre, and even Apl.de.Ap.
Through it all, the platform has remained anchored by one goal: giving Filipino artists a stage to be seen, heard, and celebrated on their own terms, from intimate stages to bigger platforms and, in doing so, contributing to the broader evolution of OPM.
“For ten years, Coke Studio has been more than a platform. It’s been a promise to Filipino artists that their music deserves to be heard. As we mark this milestone, we want to build an even bigger stage for the next generation of OPM talent to be discovered, celebrated, and heard by the world.” says Frenissa Lagman, Senior Marketing Director at Coca-Cola Philippines.
As Coke Studio enters its second decade, the platform remains committed to expanding opportunities for Filipino artists and building bigger stages, for OPM to be heard by wider audiences at home and abroad.
