Filipino P-Pop sensation BINI serenaded Senator Bam Aquino with a birthday song when they visited the Senate on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, to receive recognition for their historic stint at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California.
Sen. Bam, who turned a year older on Thursday, May 7, playfully danced as the “Nation’s Girl Group” sang a cheerful birthday greeting.
Afterward, the group joined the plenary session, where they received a parchment copy of Sen. Bam’s Senate Resolution No. 370, which was officially adopted by the Senate in recognition of their achievement.
In his resolution, Sen. Bam lauded BINI for bringing pride and honor to the country and for showcasing Filipino talent and artistry on the global stage during their April 10 and 17, 2026 performances at Coachella, one of the world’s most prestigious and highest-grossing music festivals.
“Sa kauna-unahang pagkakataon, isang Filipino act ang nagtanghal sa isa sa pinakamalaking music festivals sa buong mundo. Masasabi natin na ang tagumpay na ito ay isang Salamin ng galing at talento ng Pilipino sa pandaigdigang entablado,” Sen. Bam said in his sponsorship speech.
“Ang tagumpay ng BINI ay isang panalong dapat ipagdiwang sa gitna ng mga hamon at krisis na kinahaharap ng ating bansa. Sa kanilang pagtatanghal sa Coachella, ipinamalas nila ang ating Filipino Pride sa pamamagitan ng pagsasama ng mga tradisyonal na elemento sa kanilang mga kasuotan, musika, at koreograpiya,” he added.
Sen. Bam emphasized that BINI’s accomplishment on the international stage will serve as an inspiration for many Filipino youth to strive for their dreams.
“Ang kanilang tagumpay ay nagsisilbing inspirasyon sa napakaraming kabataang Pilipino na mangarap at maniwala na kaya rin nilang maabot ang world stage,” he pointed out.

The Senator also said that BINI’s Coachella appearance is not only a victory for the music industry, but also for the entire Philippines.
“Pinatutunayan nito ang lumalaking potensyal ng ating creative economy at ang kakayahan nitong magbigay ng dangal at oportunidad sa ating mga kababayan sa buong mundo,” he stressed, adding that his daughters, Rory and Coco, are certified fans of BINI, whose fandom is called “BLOOM.”
“Pinagmamalaki ko na ang aking mga anak ay kabilang sa ‘Bloom’ community at pati shared Spotify account namin ay halos puro BINI ang kanta,” he added.
BINI is composed of Maraiah Queen Arceta (Aiah), Ma. Nicolette Vergara (Colet), Mary Loi Yves Ricalde (Maloi), Gweneth Apuli (Gwen), Lindtsey Stacey Aubrey Sevilleja (Stacey), Mikhaela Janna Lim (Mikha), Jhoanna Christine Robles (Jhoanna), and Sheena Mae Catacutan (Sheena).
Sen. Bam is a staunch supporter of Filipino talent. During the 2022 and 2025 election campaigns, he tapped local artists to celebrate their talents and skills, and once again highlighted the strength of Filipino music during the People Power 40 Kick-Off Concert.
Fromdrivers licensetovampire,Filipino fans put the Philippines among Olivia Rodrigo’s top global markets
Spotify is bringing one of music’s most defining voices to the world’s biggest football stage, announcing Grammy award-winning global superstar Olivia Rodrigo as the latest artist to take over the front of the FC Barcelona jersey. For El Clásico on May 10 at Spotify Camp Nou, FC Barcelona players will wear a version of the iconic blaugrana jersey featuring the logo of one of the most celebrated artists of her generation, making her the youngest artist to feature on the jersey in the partnership’s history.
Olivia Rodrigo stands as one of the most acclaimed artists of her time. At just 23, the Grammy Award-winning global superstar has amassed over 55 million monthly listeners on Spotify worldwide, with the Philippines ranking among her top fifteen markets globally. From drivers license to vampire, her music has resonated deeply with Filipino fans since day one. She also has nine songs in the Spotify Billions Club, a milestone she will mark with a Billions Club Live performance in Barcelona.
Four years into its partnership with FC Barcelona, Spotify has built the jersey takeover into one of football’s most anticipated moments, by doing something no partner does. It removes its own logo and hands that space to an artist. El Clásico is back at Spotify Camp Nou for the first time since the renovation and it arrives with an Olivia Rodrigo jersey on the pitch.
Marc Hazan, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Partnerships, Spotify said: “Olivia Rodrigo has built one of the most passionate fan communities in the world, and so has FC Barcelona. Fandom doesn’t have borders and the most powerful thing Spotify can do is bring those worlds together. Putting her most dedicated fans in the room with her on the eve of El Clásico, that’s what this partnership was built for.”
Alongside the jersey, Spotify and FC Barcelona have created a capsule collection with Olivia Rodrigo, bringing together the iconic identity of Barça with Olivia’s own visual world across exclusive apparel and accessories.
Olivia Rodrigo said: “Seeing OR on a FC Barcelona jersey for El Clásico, I don’t even know how to process that. It’s been so fun seeing the jersey come to life and creating a full collection with Spotify and Barca. On top of that, getting to perform for the fans who’ve been listening since day one, in a city like Barcelona, is going to be so special. That’s everything to me. I cannot wait to see them.”
FC Barcelona will also share a special edition of the popularBarça Matchday playlist on Spotify featuring themed songs to motivate the players and fans in the build up to the game, which was curated by Olivia Rodrigo.
Barça’s Olivia Rodrigo collection will include a t-shirt, fleece crew, hoodie, bucket hat, and scarf, as well as travel mug, sticker pack and tote bag. The limited edition collection can be purchased online starting May 1 at 4 PM PHT.
The Olivia Rodrigo logo will feature on the FC Barcelona jersey, which will be worn for the El Clásico match against Real Madrid on May 10. FC Barcelona Femení will be wearing the jersey in their Liga F match against Levante on May 6.
Spotify has also made it personal for Olivia’s most devoted fans in Barcelona, an intimate, invite-only concert on the evening of May 8th. This one-off event will celebrate the fandom unique to Livies and the connected spirit which flows through the community. At an iconic venue in the heart of the city, Spotify is bringing Olivia face to face with her top fans, selected through their listening on Spotify.
International powerhouse vocalist Jessica Sanchez joins forces with Asia’s Phoenix Morissette for “Stronger Than Before,” an anthemic new single that celebrates resilience, faith, and personal growth. Written by Jessica Sanchez and Rodney Jason, and distributed by Universal Records, the track is now available on all major streaming platforms. Released during the month that celebrates Mother’s Day, the song carries an added layer of meaning for listeners, especially mothers whose strength and sacrifices echo its message.
“Stronger Than Before” traces a journey of overcoming doubt and emerging renewed. Jessica—who tried her luck in various competitions before ultimately winning America’s Got Talent in 2025—draws from both her personal and professional experiences to shape the song’s emotional core.
“‘Stronger Than Before’ is such a special song to me because it really reflects so much of my personal journey—both in my career and in my life,” Jessica shares. “This song is about resilience, growth, and finding strength through those difficult moments. I wanted it to be an anthem for anyone who has ever felt knocked down but chose to rise again.”
The collaboration marks a long-awaited moment for fans, bringing together two of the most celebrated vocalists of their generation. The track was recorded in Texas, with Morissette flying in from the Philippines to join Jessica in her home studio—an experience that added an intimate and personal touch to the recording process.
Jessica speaks warmly of the collaboration: “I’ve admired Morissette for so long—not just because of her powerhouse vocals, but because of the passion, emotion, and strength she brings to everything she does. Collaborating with her has been a dream, and I’m so grateful we got to create this together.”
She adds, “One of my favorite parts was hearing how beautifully our voices blended. It felt so natural and powerful. There were definitely moments in the studio where we both just looked at each other like, ‘Wow, this is something really special.’”
Fans will soon get to experience the song live as Jessica holds a concert at the Araneta Coliseum on May 16, 2026. Morissette joins the show as a special guest, alongside Darren Espanto, James Reid, Gary Valenciano, Martin Nievera, and Regine Velasquez. A highlight of the night will be the live performance of “Stronger Than Before,” with Jessica and Morissette sharing the stage for the moment fans have been waiting for.
With its powerful vocals and deeply personal message, “Stronger Than Before” is not just a milestone collaboration, it’s an inspiring anthem for listeners everywhere, too.
“Stronger Than Before” is out now on all digital streaming platforms.

Manila’s Biggest EDM Festival is Back in 2026 With An All-Star Lineup Featuring Galantis, Porter Robinson, Alan Shirahama, Adventure Club and Multiple Filipino Talents Taking Center Stage
MANILA, PHILIPPINES – &FRIENDS Festival, co-presented by Collective Minds, returns to Okada Manila this June 19 and 20 even bigger and better than before.
Leading this year’s iteration of the premier electronic dance music (EDM) festival in the Philippines are four of electronic music’s most commanding forces, including Galantis and Porter Robinson.
Filipino Excellence on the Global Stage
This year, the Filipino diaspora takes its place in the limelight; with headliners, subheadliners, and supporting acts all showcasing the indelible mark Filipino talent continues to make on the global electronic music community.
Filipino-Japanese Alan Shirahama will serve as one of the headliners at &FRIENDS Festival 2026. The multifaceted entertainer and DJ has built one of the most unique cross-cultural careers in Asian music: both as the leader of GENERATIONS from EXILE TRIBE, one of Japan’s biggest J-Pop groups, and as a solo DJ on DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs list. Shirahama was appointed as a Philippines Tourism Ambassador in 2023, making his performance at &FRIENDS Festival one of the most culturally resonant bookings in the festival’s history.
Ian Asher is a Los Angeles-based DJ and producer whose polished blend of future bass and pop-leaning dance music has racked up hundreds of millions of streams and a collaboration with the “Kings of P-Pop” SB19. A familiar face on the international festival circuit, his return to Manila is a homecoming charged with meaning. Seduza is a US-based Filipino-Chinese DJ whose signature cat ears and fearlessly eclectic sets weave through trap, future bass, Jersey club, and house. Having graced stages from Coachella and Head in the Clouds to tours alongside Alesso, Steve Aoki, and Flosstradamus, she has built a distinct world around her brand that resonates as strongly on the dancefloor as it does in digital culture– channeling that influence into curating showcases that champion underground EDM’s next generation. Tye Turner rounds out the group as a Filipino-Australian DJ whose explosive stage presence and impeccable crowd-reading have made him a rising name on lineups across North America and Asia. Together, they represent a generation of Filipino artists no longer on the periphery of global dance music – they are at its center.
Other Filipinos added to the main stage are MarcMarasigan and L.A, together with international acts AceRamos, Afinity, AmiMura, ArthurTan, FAZAD, J, NGHTSHIFTb2bJaideeb2bDreamdriver — bringing the two-night Main Stage program to its final, stacked form.
With no shortage of Filipino talent standing at the helm, the 2026 &FRIENDS Festival is shaping up to be as much a celebration of the Philippines and its people as it is a jam-packed weekend of non-stop raving and electronic music appreciation.
Alongside the festival’s celebration of Filipino talent is a massive international roster flying into Manila from across the globe. New additions to the international line-up include headliner Adventure Club, the Grammy-nominated Canadian duo of Christian Srigley and Leighton James, whose remix of “Crave You” helped shape the sound of melodic dubstep and launched a career spanning mainstages at EDC, Ultra, and Bonnaroo– their &FRIENDS set marks their Philippines debut. Also making his first PH show is Aiobahn, a South Korean producer based between Seoul and Tokyo whose fusion of anime-inspired melodies, future bass, and hard-hitting production has earned him a devoted cult following via Monstercat and standout tracks like “INTERNET YAMERO.”Not to be forgotten are the other previously announced headliners of the festival, who are some of the most famous, enduring names in electronic music today.
Night 1 – Porter Robinson and Subtronics: Porter Robinson, a fan favorite in the Philippines, returns to Manila fresh off his biggest-ever international tour for SMILE ! :D. The Grammy-nominated artist’s influence on EDM stretches back to his 2014 debut Worlds, which topped Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums. Joining him is Subtronics, the bass music titan behind the FIBONACCI album and Cyclops Recordings, who made his Coachella debut in April 2026 and in 2023 was named the highest-selling North American electronic touring act by Pollstar and DJ Mag North America’s DJ of the Year.
Night 2 – Galantis and Yellow Claw: Closing out the weekend are two acts that have shaped electronic music over the last two decades. Galantis, led by Swedish hitmaker Christian “Bloodshy” Karlsson, boasts 7.3 billion streams, anthems like “Runaway (U & I)” and “No Money,” and a Grammy-winning co-write on Britney Spears’ “Toxic.” Yellow Claw, the Dutch duo of Jim Taihuttu and Nils Rondhuis, match that pedigree with over a billion plays and a genre-defying catalog spanning trap, dubstep, hardstyle, and moombahton — arriving fresh off their fifth album, Jesus Loves Trap Music, released on their own Barong Family label in February 2026.
Across three stages, two nights, and more than 60 artists, &FRIENDS festival continues to deliver on its founding promise: world-class production, a carefully curated mix of global headliners and regional talent, and the kind of unforgettable, communal energy that has made it the defining electronic music event in the Philippines.
Besides the Main Stage, the Club Stage is where the festival bleeds into something rawer, deeper, and more unpredictable. Running deep into the early morning hours, it is the beating underground heart of &FRIENDS. Bandit, BENCH, Buns b2b Senza, Honey Gee, Ian Sndrz, James Landino b2b Kino, Jecht, KDH, Kluster Flux, MARGACHI, NOTDEADYET,Sseda, Sunday Sundae, Xenith, bring a combined depth of sound and scene credibility that will keep the dancefloor locked in from first set to last light.
New for 2026, the Friendship Stage introduces a series of label and collective takeovers representing the best of Asia’s EDM community. Orange Juice Asia x Planet Workshop is set to open Day One with a joint takeover, followed by sets from CLOUDNYT, RAW and Restored Bass. Day Two sees takeovers from Hidden Nights,Contrast, and Sweet & Sour, and Midnight Rebels — each crew bringing its own curated roster of back-to-back and face-to-face DJ sets that embody the collaborative spirit at the core of the &FRIENDS brand. It is a stage built on community, and a reminder that the best music often comes from the people closest to the dancefloor.

RELEASE NEW SINGLE, “DANCE TO THIS” & MUSIC VIDEO
Multi-platinum, award-winning duo Icona Pop officially announce details on their fourth studio album Ritual, arriving August 14 via Ultra Records/Iconic Sound Recordings.
Written during a transformative chapter in the duo’s lives that could have easily seen the beloved duo split, Ritual is Icona Pop at their most honest, liberated, and emotionally fearless—an album shaped by friendship, reinvention, motherhood, heartbreak, healing, and joy. Across the record, the longtime creative partners turn the dancefloor into a space for release and renewal. Ritual is the sound of two women at the height of their creative confidence, reclaiming their artistry—and inviting everyone to the dancefloor with them.
Speaking on the project, Icona Pop share: “Healing requires you to slow down and reflect, but you can’t work on yourself 24/7 forever. Eventually, you have to get back out into the world and see what happens. You might mess up—but that could be exactly what you need. For us, the dance floor has always been a place where we find ourselves and each other again. It’s where we can disappear into the music and let go of everything else.”
Alongside the announcement, the duo delivers an infectious new single, “Dance To This,” out today with an official music video directed by Gustav Stegfors. Watch HERE. Co-written by the duo themselves, and produced by Sebastian Furrer, “Dance To This” channels the raw energy from the beginning of their career, matched with a sharp-edged modern pulse. Fueled by swaggering verses, chant-ready hooks, thundering beats, and dancefloor abandon, the track captures the feeling of losing yourself in the night and finding yourself again in the music. With lines like “Kinda wanna burn a bridge / Kinda wanna be a bitch / Kinda wanna take a risk / Kinda wanna dance to this,” the song bottles chaos, confidence, and catharsis into three minutes of pure Icona Pop electricity.
Speaking about the track, Aino reveals, “The production definitely reminds me of old Icona Pop. We could perform it live, but we could also put it in a DJ set.” Caroline adds, “It’s one of those nights when you’re finding yourself by going out… it’s the moment you see yourself dancing and connected to your essence.”
“Dance To This” follows the release of the album’s powerful title track “Ritual” featuring Daya, alongside an official music video directed by Gustav Stegfors. Built around themes of survival, movement, and self-reclamation, the song introduced a more vulnerable and emotionally grounded side of the duo.

ABOUT ICONA POP Icona Pop has always represented the ultimate freedom of expression for its two members and longtime friends, Caroline Hjelt and Aino Jawo. Their fearless approach as women and artists has fueled their impact as one of pop music’s most innovative and irresistible multiplatinum, chart-topping forces. Today, they continue to evolve—owning who they are as mothers, creative partners, entrepreneurs, and leaders, while bringing that same sense of empowerment and authenticity to everything they create. Caroline and Aino went from being club kids in Stockholm to commanding clubs, arenas, and festivals around the world. Following an independent grind, Icona Pop first reached critical mass in 2012 with their breakout single “I Love It” [feat. Charli XCX], a generational anthem that went 5x Platinum, sold over 10 million copies, and surpassed 1 billion global streams. Their 2013 debut This Is… Icona Pop earned widespread acclaim and was followed by a run of Gold-certified singles, sold-out tours, and major support slots alongside artists including Miley Cyrus, One Direction, The Chainsmokers, and the late Avicii. Beyond music, they’ve delivered standout performances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The Today Show, Good Morning America, and America’s Got Talent, and appeared on HBO’s Girls, Saturday Night Live, and as Satin and Chenille in the Trolls film franchise. Known for their dynamic collaborations with Joel Corry, Galantis, Sofi Tukker, and more, Icona Pop returned in 2023 with CLUB ROMANTECH, their first album in a decade, which received critical praise from The Guardian, Forbes, Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, and beyond. Now, with new music including their latest single “Ritual” featuring Daya, Icona Pop continue to push forward—blending emotional honesty with euphoric, club-ready production. Their music remains rooted in connection, transformation, and the power of the dancefloor, capturing the spirit of two artists at the height of their creative confidence.

2x GRAMMY® Award winning R&B powerhouse Kehlani releases her highly anticipated self-titled fifth studio album, KEHLANI, today on her birthday, April 24, 2026. Listen HERE.
A self-titled album is often an artist’s most personal statement, and KEHLANI is no exception. The project captures her at her most honest, blending soul-baring storytelling with the lush, genre-bending sound that has made her one of modern R&B’s most influential voices.
The album was anchored by a trio of defining singles, beginning with “Folded,” a breakout anthem that has become one of the defining R&B records of the decade. “Folded” delivered major award recognition, including 2x GRAMMY® wins for Best R&B Song and Best R&B Performance, an iHeartRadio Music Award for R&B Song of the Year (where she made her debut award show performance), NAACP Image Awards nominations, and three American Music Award nominations, including Song of the Year. The song has surpassed 800 million global streams, peaked at #6 on the Billboard Hot 100, and spent 43 weeks on the chart. It reached #1 across Urban (for 10 weeks), Rhythmic, and R&B radio formats, generated over 1.45 billion U.S. radio audience impressions, earned Kehlani her first solo #1 on the Billboard Rhythmic Airplay Chart, and reached #22 on Billboard’s Global 200. Toronto’s Good Kid has released their highly anticipated debut album ‘Can We Hang Out Sometime?’, recorded with GRAMMY-winning producer John Congleton (St. Vincent, Wallows, Lana Del Rey). The highly-anticipated debut album captures the band pushing their sound into new territory, while retaining the high-energy hooks and inventive riffs that have become their hallmark.
The theme of connection runs throughout the 10 tracks on ‘Can We Hang Out Sometime?’ – its importance, its fragility, and the search for it in moments of uncertainty. From the bittersweet “Wall” to the tender “Coffee”, the album serves as both an ode to and a meditation on how we relate to friends, lovers, the world around us, and ourselves.
Leaning into that emotional openness, the band pushed themselves further than ever before in the studio. “This record is the most unfiltered and uninhibited we have ever been,” shares the band. “There are so many things on this record that are irreproducible, sounds and methods that made each and every take totally unique. From writing a crazy solo that’s nearly impossible to play to having Nick screaming his lungs out in his vocals for the very first time.”
Across the record, those ideas take shape in stories of strained friendships, missed signals, and the quiet effort it takes to show up for one another. “The record is about acknowledging the difficulties of life and hanging out with your friends anyway, to help make it better,” says singer Nick Frosst. That tension between closeness and distance carries across the album’s emotional range, from the grungy bite of “Eastside”, which picks at a long-held grudge, to the haunting pull of “Rift” and its all-consuming obsession. “Cicada” wrestles with inadequacy and desire, while “Tea Leaves” reflects on the cyclical pain of drifting apart.
At the album’s core, “Ginger Lemonade” stands as a heartfelt love letter to the band’s own creative partnership, a reminder that ‘chosen’ family can weather even the most uncertain moments. “Sonically this record is us exploring some of the most visceral emotions…” shares guitarist David Wood. That sense of shared experience extends not only to the album’s themes, but to the way the band write and create together. “If we could each individually just write these songs, we probably would have,” explains guitarist Jacob Kereliuk. “But part of why we’re in a band is the camaraderie and the brotherhood. We all need each other to take these ideas and explore them together.”
A string of releases leading up to the record release has built incredible momentum for the band. Recent single “Cicada” sits at over 5 million streams across platforms, helping push the band past 3.45 million monthly listeners, and over 800 million catalogue streams to date.
Late last year, the band performed at the Streamer Awards in Los Angeles, where the performance placed the band amongst the event’s impressive list of past performers and fellow digital-era music disruptors including Ty Dolla $ign, Bella Poarch, Yung Gravy, and BBNO$. Watch the performance HERE.
Blending the punchy riffs of J-rock, the immediacy of indie rock, and the raw edge of pop-punk, Good Kid has spent the past several years quietly building something larger than a typical band trajectory. Entirely independent, they’ve cultivated a fiercely participatory fan community, while establishing themselves as one of the most creator-friendly projects in modern guitar music.
By making their entire discography Content ID–free and DMCA–free, the band have empowered creators across Twitch, YouTube, and other platforms to use their songs without fear of takedowns, allowing the music to spread organically across gaming streams, animations, and online communities.

Rising Japanese singer-songwriter Rol3ert continues his rapid ascent globally and across Asia with the release of “(how could i be) honest? – DAUL mix (feat. THAMA),” a newly reimagined version of his breakout track, created in collaboration with Korean producer DAUL and acclaimed R&B artist THAMA. Recently selected for Rolling Stone’s “Future 25” as one of 25 artists representing Japan, Rol3ert is quickly emerging as one of the country’s most promising new voices on the global stage.
Originally released in December 2025, “(how could i be) honest?” quickly gained global attention, landing on Spotify’s official playlists across 18 countries. Across Asia, the track saw strong regional traction, charting on viral charts in Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, earning heavy rotation on Singapore’s 987FM, and peaking at No.5 on Singapore’s Shazam charts. On Spotify, the song surpassed 500,000 streams within its first month, becoming Rol3ert’s fastest-growing release to date. Across his recent releases, including “(how could i be) honest?” and “savior,” user-generated content has continued to spread organically, amplifying his reach among younger listeners across the region.
This new version sees the track reconstructed rather than traditionally remixed—expanding its emotional and sonic identity across cultures. Featuring newly written Korean lyrics and vocals from THAMA, the song retains the emotional core of the original while introducing a new dimension through DAUL’s electronic production and THAMA’s distinct artistry. The result is a version that feels both familiar and entirely reimagined, bridging Japanese and Korean music sensibilities within a global pop context.
DAUL shares, “when I first heard the original track, what stood out most was the vocal melody. It has a strong hook that stays with you, and I felt the natural energy and dynamism of the band sound. Rather than drastically changing the song, I focused on preserving its emotional core and melody while expanding that energy through electronic elements. By reconstructing it around synthesizers and electronic drums, I aimed to create a denser, more three-dimensional soundscape.
With THAMA joining, the color of the track became even richer. The combination of Rol3ert and THAMA’s distinct styles, along with the production, creates a piece that reveals more depth the more you listen.”
THAMA adds, “the original track had a rock texture that I don’t usually work with, which made it feel very fresh. Rol3ert’s voice and melody were especially memorable—they reminded me of the emo rock bands I listened to growing up.
During production, I focused on preserving the tone, rhythm, and lyrical appeal that Rol3ert brings, while adding a new interpretation on top of that foundation. The synth-forward sound is a key element of this version. I’d also love for listeners to pay attention to the newly written first verse, which wasn’t in the original. I hope people enjoy hearing how the song transforms through my voice.”
Rol3ert reflects, “the main thing I focused on was creating something completely different while still inheriting the original’s charm—its slightly absurd, chaotic, and imperfect qualities in a good way. I referenced sounds from ’80s video games to bring in a bit of playfulness.
When I first heard DAUL’s demo, I was really happy to hear how that sense of playfulness was already embedded in the track. By combining that with THAMA’s voice and the addition of Korean lyrics—which was a completely new challenge for me—I think we were able to create something that feels like a different song, while still preserving what made the original special.”
Accompanying the release, a music video featuring Rol3ert and THAMA, filmed in Korea, further brings this cross-cultural collaboration to life. In parallel, Rol3ert has also unveiled a live performance video for “savior,” captured during his sold-out headline show Rol3ert Live “katachi” in Tokyo, offering a glimpse into the growing scale and energy of his live performances.
Further expanding his connection with fans, Rol3ert has also launched his official Discord community,[1] creating a dedicated space for global listeners to engage, connect, and access exclusive content. He is also set to make his Singapore debut at Mediacorp’s Cloud 9 Festival on May 9, marking another key milestone as his presence continues to grow across Southeast Asia.
With momentum building across Japan, Southeast Asia, and Korea, Rol3ert continues to emerge as one of the region’s most compelling new voices—bridging cultures, languages, and sounds with a distinctly global perspective.
