Going to Lee Dong Wook’s “My Sweet Home” fan meeting on December 20, 2025, at The Theatre at Solaire was like magic. It was an early Christmas present that lived up to all the hype!
From the moment the lights dimmed, Lee Dong Wook’s charismatic presence filled the venue with warmth and joy. Known for his iconic roles as the stoic Grim Reaper in Goblin and the fierce gumiho in Tale of the Nine Tailed, Wookie did not shy away and showed his playful, affectionate side and was genuinely touched by the love from Filipino fans.
The event was perfectly themed around “home,” which made it feel like a warm family gathering. The visuals were stunning, the sound was great, and there were festive holiday touches that made it feel like a family gathering.
WookDong talked about his career and shared personal stories from his series and behind-the-scenes of his work. He also talked about how he got from his early dramas to his most recent projects. He joked, “What, Pogi?” when he heard his new nicknames, “POGI” and “Mahal.” He said, “Hindi niyo lang naman sinasabi sakin yan; pati sa ibang artista sinasabi niyo yan,” which drew a loud scream from the crowd.
The games’ part was so funny. He was cool and competitive, but he failed every mission, which made it even funnier. He was charming, his quick wit was spot-on, and everything about him was lovable. Seeing him talk to fans during the Q&A, answer questions, and take requests made him seem more like an old friend than a distant star.
This queen showed up in a full-on Lee Dong Wook character photo dress and got a hug from Oppa himself! Core memory unlocked!
Lee Dong Wook kept saying that Manila feels like a second home to him, and Filipino Noehee’s energy was electric. He was truly humble when he thanked his Filipino fans. “Since My Girl 20 years ago, the love you gave me has left a big space in my heart, and whenever I hear the Philippines, you’re what I remember most.”
Whether you’re a Wookie fan or not, this fan meeting was an unforgettable night of laughter, “Sana ol Moments,” screams, and pure bliss. The sweetest gift of all this Christmas! It is intimate, heartfelt, and worth every peso—we can’t wait for him to come back! All thanks to Solaire for making this happen!

The Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines has just appointed two major Korean stars—Kim Myung Soo and Choi Bo Min—as their newest Tourism Ambassadors for Korea. It’s a bold step to strengthen the bond between the Philippines and South Korea, especially in the realm of travel.
The official announcement took place on December 14, 2025, at Consuelo by Chef Vince Garcia, where the two artists appeared in custom creations by Filipino designer Avel Bacudio. Their outfits featured intricate embroidery inspired by iconic Filipino elements such as jeepneys, the bahay kubo, and street vendors, and were crafted from handwoven abaca, piña, silk cocoon, and inabel. More than just celebrated personalities, Kim Myung Soo and Choi Bo Min are now officially partners of TPBPHL, with a shared mission to inspire more Korean travelers to visit and explore the Philippines.
They wasted no time getting started. The two stars arrived in the Philippines from December 13 to 14 for a fast-paced trip full of specially curated experiences. They began their visit with a round of golf at Beverly Place Golf Club in Clark, Pampanga—known for its beautiful scenery, excellent facilities, and a premium leisure atmosphere. It’s exactly the kind of destination that highlights the country’s wellness and luxury appeal.
The following day brought even more excitement. Both stars took part in the PUMA Clark Half Marathon. Choi Bo Min joined the 5K run alongside local fans, while Kim Myung Soo took the stage with TPB’s Chief Operating Officer, Marga Nograles. He mentioned his desire to visit Siargao soon and even hinted at inviting his fellow INFINITE members for the next trip.
So, why were these two chosen? The answer is simple. Both Kim Myung Soo and Choi Bo Min have genuine connections to the Philippines and a significant influence across Asia. Kim Myung Soo—actor and member of K-Pop group INFINITE—has visited the Philippines multiple times for concerts and fan meetings. Over the years, he has formed a meaningful bond with the Philippines, rooted in his continued presence and strong relationship with Filipino fans. He’s also preparing for new projects, which will only expand his global reach.
Choi Bo Min’s journey is equally noteworthy. He has been steadily building a loyal Filipino fanbase since joining the local TV series Beauty Empire, spending a total of four months traveling back and forth to the Philippines. This extended time allowed him to immerse himself in the culture, explore different locations, and experience local cuisine, further strengthening his familiarity with the country. With a new drama set to premiere next year, his profile is on the rise, helping to bridge even more Korean fans to the Philippines.
The two artists are supported in the Philippines through local management and agent services provided by GLXY Talent Management, a subsidiary of Universal Records Inc.
Now, as official TPBPHL Tourism Ambassadors, we’ll be seeing more of Kim Myung Soo and Choi Bo Min soon—from destination tours and digital campaigns to a variety of promotional events. Whether it’s beaches, city attractions, wellness getaways, or cultural landmarks, they’ll be showcasing it all. The goal is to leverage their star power and authentic love for the Philippines to inspire more Koreans to discover the country for themselves.
With these two leading the way, the partnership marks a new chapter in promoting Philippine tourism. It’s not just about beautiful destinations—it’s about encouraging people to create lasting, meaningful memories in the Philippines.
Much like their music, The Fray played through their each song in their debut album How to Save a Life, plus some of their newer material, with unobstructed grace and warmth, which the Filipino crowd welcomed with open arms.
On December 12, The Fray returned to the Philippine concert stage after 13 long years. Their How to Save a Life 20th Anniversary World Tour at the Araneta Coliseum marked our country as the only stop in Asia as well the venue for their grand finale – two factors that made the evening extra special for longtime fans of the band. Presented by Midas Promotions, the show was one to be remembered.
In the mid-2000s, The Fray’s debut album became a spectacular hit, receiving two Grammy nominations and receiving multiple Billboard Awards which included Digital Album of the Year. The band is known for their heart-tugging, piano-driven pop-rock songs – the kind that you want to listen to when you need a warm hug. Their lyrics, filled with dramatic push and pull of life and human relationships, were uplifting and reassuring.
In pop culture, their influence was also greatly felt as their songs became soundtracks to a lot of popular TV shows back then such as Grey’s Anatomy, One Tree Hill and The Vampire Diaries. When you play “Over My Head (Cable Car)” or “How to Save a Life”, you could be almost sure that any millennial will recognize the song in an instant; and just like any millennial would tell you: it would be quite difficult to say that it has been 20 years since then.
Still, 20 years did take its toll for the band. Since then, the band had released 4 studio albums, with their latest Helios released in 2014. The Fray is currently composed of Joe King, Dave Welsh, Ben Wysocki and touring members Dane Poppin and Kai Welch. In 2022, after a long hiatus, their previous lead singer, Isaac Slade, left the band due to personal reasons. It wasn’t until 2024 when they started releasing new music with their EP The Fray Is Back. Shortly after, they announced a world tour for their iconic debut album to celebrate the 20th anniversary of How to Save a Life, selling out majority of the dates worldwide.
—
Filipino rock band December Avenue opened the show with their hits “Huling Sandali” and “Sa Ngalan Ng Pag-Ibig”. Frontman Zel Bautista thanked the crowd for their support this year, and hinted at a possible Valentine’s concert next year.
When it was time for The Fray to take the stage, they made their entrance with “She Is”, “All At Once” and “Look After You”. Their connection with the crowd ignited an immediate spark. One second, it was silent; the next, people were sweetly singing ‘be my baby; in unison.
The stage set-up was simple. There were 2 elevated platforms for the drummer and the guitarist. Flower patches adorned the floor while a flowing curtain which reflected gradients of light served as the backdrop. There were no LED screens at the back and the sides. No flashy visualization and no loud decorations; it seemed the band wanted to focus on the music and rightfully so. Following a theater set-up, each person in the crowd was assigned a specific seat.
As the concert was primarily a celebration of the 20th anniversary of their debut album, The Fray made sure to play the entire tracklist, arranged as if to tell a story. Hearing “Fall Away” felt like being drawn back to a time warp, followed by the somberly foreboding tones of “Little House” and “Dead Wrong”, only to be washed away to the gently comforting tides of “Trust Me” and “Heaven Forbid”. An extended piano intro was played for the haunting melodies of “Hundred” and “Vienna”, making the songs more impactful.
While the crawling tick-tock sound of “Over My Head (Cable Car)” was playing, Joe King took the time to address a specific person in the crowd. “I’d like to dedicate this song to this incredible human being, back there vibing, dancing to our music”, he said. During the early part of the concert, there was a guy at the patron area who stood up by himself, singing and dancing all alone as the audience remained seated. A security personnel later approached him to tell him to sit down which Joe also apologized for.
Encouraging the rest of the crowd, Joe shouted, “If you want, you can stand up, and you can feel however you wanna feel, and you can sing it however you want to sing it, because that is what music does, it’s free!” The whole arena then got on their feet and did exactly like the guy did: immerse themselves in the music. This tremendous energy was sustained until the end of the show.
By the time The Fray played “How to Save a Life”, the entirety of the Big Dome was like a huge karaoke choir, singing each word in unison. This was made even more special when people started raising their flash lights in the dark. What started as a few lights in the upper part of crowd spread all over the arena gradually, until it filled the entire venue.
Beyond their debut album, The Fray also performed a few of their newer tracks including the flaring “My Heart’s a Crowded Room” and the EDM-tinged “Hurricane”, during which Joe King personally went down the stage to meet the crowd.
“Thank you for sharing this evening with us. We’ll never forget it. This tour is the last night of the tour for us, we’ve had an absolute dream,” Joe said toward the end of the show. He shared the tour lasted 5 months, they had played in 16 countries and around 85 shows, more that they had ever played in 15 years.
Reminiscing about what the tour meant to them, he said, “Music is healing, and it can save you, and it saves us. Music is connecting, it brings you to who you are, brings you to where you were… reminds you that we’re not alone, that we’re all connected, we’re all in this together.” He reiterated that it has both been an honor and a dream to play these songs after 20 years, expressing his gratitude for allowing them to be part of their story.
For the encore, The Fray performed “Love Don’t Die” followed their latest single “Songs I’d Rather Not Sing”. For the grand finale, they played “Never Say Never”, a song that took a life of its own when the audience repeatedly sang the line ‘don’t let me go’ as the band took their bow on stage.
The song and the album How to Save a Life really did save lives, and it continues to do so until today, 20 years after it was released. Since then, a lot of things had changed both in the band’s landscape and their fans’ lives as well. It had been well over 13 years since The Fray’s last concert in Manila yet the intense energy the crowd had when singing along to their old songs felt exactly the same. As Joe said, music has the power to heal, and that is precisely what the fans could come back to time and time again. Beyond the nostalgia for old times, The Fray’s music has now found a home in people’s lives.

After revealing two different sides of themselves with “Hijacker” and “Nakaraan,” Metro Manila-based band semiclone pushes into their most intense territory yet with “TTG.” The single confronts the moment when emotional exhaustion reaches its limit and leaving becomes the only way forward. It is a song built on clarity earned through hurt, and the release that follows once the truth is finally accepted.
“TTG” tells the story of holding on despite all the warning signs. The lyrics move between Tagalog and English, reflecting confusion, resentment, and the quiet resignation that grows with every unanswered question. The hook captures the breaking point with stark honesty, repeating the final decision without hesitation. It is time to go, and this time there is no turning back.
The band delivers its heaviest sound yet. Guitars fly with sharp, restless energy. Vocals hit with full emotion, raw and unfiltered. The drums keep a steady pulse that carries the weight of the moment while the bass drives underneath, anchoring the track with force. The performance builds a sense of inevitability, mirroring the emotional release woven into the song.
“TTG” marks a powerful evolution in semiclone’s catalogue, proving they can shift from playful, to vulnerable, to explosive without losing their identity.

Support for Sen. Bam Aquino’s call for vigilance during the bicameral conference committee deliberations on the P1.38-trillion education fund in the 2026 national budget has snowballed, drawing backing from various musicians, comedians, and artists.
Among them were actor Edu Manzano, stand-up comedian Alex Calleja, rapper Pio Balbuena, hip-hop band Morobeats, , artist Andrea Guevarra, and Drag Race Philippines winner Brigiding.
In a statement on his Facebook page, Edu said heightened vigilance is necessary to protect the budget from corruption and questionable projects.
“LIVESTREAM ANG BICAM. Ilang tulog na lang bago Pasko, ang Christmas wish ko: huwag bawasan yung education budget ni Senator Bam! #EdukasyonHindiKorapsyon,” he posted.
“Monitor natin ‘to. Kung may dapat tutukan sa pondo ng bayan, bantayan ang budget para sa edukasyon ni Senator Bam! Huwag hayaan mabawasan sa darating na bicam,” Alex commented, sharing a post from Senator Bam’s Facebook page highlighting his call for vigilance.
“Tinupad ni Sen. Bam yung Diskarte at diploma! 1.3 TRILLION BUDGET SA EDUKASYON, 65 BILLION PARA SA MGA CLASSROOM. babantayan na lang natin yan para di magka istapahan, pampaaral ng tambay,” Pio said on Facebook.
Andrea called on her family, friends, and followers to monitor the bicam’s livestream, saying it is an opportunity for them to ensure the education budget remains intact.
“Ngayong December 11, papasok na sa final stage ang budget for education sa BICAM at first time itong ililivestream in our history. Sa public schools, kulang ang classrooms, kulang ang kagamitan, kulang ang suporta. Kasama rin dito ang budget para sa Libreng Kolehiyo.. Libreng tuition at miscellaneous fees ng 5.7M students, at dagdag allowance para sa 1.5M students,” she said.
“Para sa millions of students who rely on the public education system, every peso truly matters. At ang BICAM ang last window para makita kung mababawasan o hindi ang budget na para sa kanila. Let’s show up. Watch. Bantayan natin ang budget sa edukasyon. Para sa kabataan. Para sa kinabukasan. Edukasyon, hindi korapsyon,” she added.
Morobeats, for its part, underscored the need to protect the education budget to maintain the P65 billion fund for classroom construction.
“May mahigit na 65 billion na budget para sa edukasyon! Huwag hayaan na mabawasan at bantayan natin yung para sa mga anak natin!” it said.
“Malapit na mag 2026. National Budget!!! Please wag magic-in ang pondo ng bayan, protektahan ang budget para sa edukasyon, bantayan natin kasama ni @bamaquino,” Bridiging posted on her X account.
The bicameral conference committee, or simply bicam, is a small group of senators and representatives tasked with reconciling differences between the Senate and House versions of a bill.
While its intention is noble, the word bicam has become synonymous with hidden agendas and illegal or questionable insertions, especially when the anomalous flood control projects were exposed.
The Senate will livestream the bicam for the proposed 2026 national budget, giving citizens, media, and civil society organizations a unique opportunity to monitor the proceedings and see firsthand how their hard-earned money is allocated and utilized.

Pasko’y Muling Darating: The OPM Christmas Anthem for Everyone Who’s Struggling This Season
As the streets are lit up with twinkling lights and the smell of puto bumbong fills the air, the pop rock band InnerVoices reminds fans that Christmas is not only a time of joy, but also a time of healing. On December 5, 2025, UMG Philippines released their latest holiday single, “Pasko’y Muling Darating.” It perfectly captures the bittersweet spirit of the season in a way that only these Manila mainstays can.
InnerVoices started out in 1991 as a group of four college friends from Letran College. Since then, they have changed members, taken breaks, and come back stronger after the pandemic. They are now a six-piece powerhouse known for mixing heartfelt OPM stories with the punchy energy of ’80s and ’90s pop-rock. Atty. Rey Bergado, the band’s founding keyboardist and songwriter, is still the band’s rock. He is joined by vocalist Patrick Marcelino, guitarist Rene Tecson, bassist Alvin Herbon, drummer Jojo Esparrago, and keyboardist Joseph Cruz. For more than 30 years, they’ve been a part of the live music scene in Metro Manila, filling places like Hard Rock Café Makati, Bar IX in Alabang, and Aromata in Quezon City with sets that mix their own songs with covers of old favorites.
Rey Bergado wrote and composed “Pasko’y Muling Darating,” it’s a thoughtful ballad that paints pictures of cold, lonely nights and the weight of unspoken grief—those times when holiday cheer seems far away because of personal problems. But, true to InnerVoices’ style of being positive, the song builds to a bright chorus: Pasko’y muling darating, may pag-asang dala sa atin, sa bawat puso’y may ningning, pag-ibig ang hihilom sa dilim. “Christmas is a time of healing for many of us,” Bergado said at a recent press conference.
“Pasko’y Muling Darating,” napansin naming mejo kakaiba ang Christmas spirit, parang the focus of the people ay yung mga problema ng bayan, politika, galit, pangamba, so parang natatabunan yung Christmas spirit, we made this song “Paskoy Muling Darating” to say na there’s hope amidst these chaos and difficulties and confusion.
‘Pasko’y Muling Darating’ is a reminder that hope always comes back, even on the darkest nights.” We all go through sad times, but we should still celebrate Christmas.
For InnerVoices, music has always been more than just notes; it’s a way to stay alive. Bergado, who writes songs on the side of his legal career, says that the band’s brotherhood has helped them get through tough times in life. He once said, “We’re not just a band anymore.” “We’re friends.” We are the godparents of each other’s kids. Even if we don’t play, we still see each other. That family connection is in every chord, which makes songs like “Pasko’y Muling Darating” feel like a hug from an old friend.
Stream “Pasko’y Muling Darating” now on Spotify, Apple Music, and all major platforms. Catch InnerVoices live this holiday season at their regular haunts—Hard Rock Café spots, Bar IX, or upcoming gigs announced on their socials. In a world that often feels heavy, their music whispers: The season of light is here, and it’s for everyone. A New Chapter of the “IVE Syndrome” Begins with ‘SHOW WHAT I AM’
‘SHOW WHAT I AM’ Marks a Defining Moment—IVE Reaches New Artistic Heights and Redefines “IVE-ness” on Stage
The “ultimate icons of MZ Wannabe Icons,” IVE (ANYUJIN, GAEUL, REI, JANGWONYOUNG, LIZ, and LEESEO), have officially launched their highly anticipated second world tour, “SHOW WHAT I AM.”
The tour kicked off with a spectacular three-day opening at Seoul’s KSPO DOME (formerly the Olympic Gymnastics Arena) from October 31 to November 2, serving as a defining prologue to the next phase of the “IVE Syndrome.” Capturing the group’s essence in its purest form, the shows marked a powerful return following the massive success of their first world tour, “SHOW WHAT I HAVE,” which connected them with over 420,000 fans across 19 countries. This time, IVE showcased remarkable artistic growth, refined teamwork, and an expanded musical spectrum.
As the lights dimmed and the cheers of DIVE (IVE’s official fan club) filled the packed venue, a cinematic VCR introduced each member’s unique charm, accompanied by a dreamy soundtrack that built anticipation throughout the dome. When the video concluded, beams of light illuminated the stage, revealing six striking silhouettes to explosive applause—signaling the start of an unforgettable night.
Backed by a live band, IVE opened the show with “GOTCHA (Baddest Eros),” instantly setting the tone with driving drum beats, electric guitar riffs, and commanding choreography. From the very first note, their flawless live vocals and fierce stage presence embodied the concert’s title—SHOW WHAT I AM.
Without pause, they powered through “XOXZ,” “Baddie,” “Ice Queen,” and “Accendio,” elevating the energy with each performance. Dynamic beats, mesmerizing visuals, and the members’ synchronized charisma fused together, creating a concert experience brimming with intensity and immersion.
After the high-octane opening, the members paused to greet DIVE, sharing heartfelt messages of gratitude before transitioning seamlessly into “TKO,” “Holy Moly,” and “My Satisfaction.” With powerful vocals and impeccable synchronization, IVE will turn th every venue into a stage alive with both emotion and precision.
A major highlight of the night was the solo stage segment, where each member unveiled an unreleased solo track for the first time. These performances reflected their distinct artistry and personalities, highlighting the depth and diversity of IVE’s musical spectrum.
JANGWONYOUNG opened with “8,” exuding confidence and elegance through a sleek, modern sound. REI followed with “In Your Heart,” a bright, effervescent performance radiating pure joy. LIZ then showcased her powerhouse vocals in “Unreal,” a refreshing band-style track that emphasized her expressive tone.
GAEUL shifted the mood with “Odd,” a dreamy, introspective number filled with emotional warmth. LEESEO impressed with “Super Icy,” blending vocals and rap to highlight her versatility, while ANYUJIN brought the solo stages to a powerful close with “Force,” a high-energy pop performance overflowing with charisma and commanding stage presence.
Each solo stage revealed the members’ individual growth while reinforcing IVE’s collective identity as a group defined by self-expression and creative confidence.
Reuniting on stage, IVE transitioned into a more emotional mid-set featuring “♥beats,” “WOW,” “Off The Record,” and “FLU.” Their rich harmonies and warm vocals filled the dome with an intimate yet expansive atmosphere, enveloping the audience in a wave of serenity and connection.
As the concert neared its climax, the group reignited the arena with a powerful sequence of hits—“ATTITUDE”, “REBEL HEART” “I AM,” “LOVE DIVE,” and “After LIKE.” The synergy between the stage and the audience reached its peak, culminating in an explosive finale that celebrated IVE’s evolution and the unbreakable bond with their fans.
Meticulously curated in setlist, staging, and storytelling, “SHOW WHAT I AM” represented a fully realized version of IVE’s artistry—complete with confident live vocals, seamless choreography, and authentic emotional expression. Through this performance, IVE showcased the “IVE-style concert formula” at its most refined—one that seamlessly fuses power, artistry, and narrative into a singular immersive experience.
Starting with the Seoul concerts, IVE’s second world tour will soon connect them with fans worldwide, opening a new chapter in their artistic journey. Moving beyond the first three years of the “IVE Syndrome,” the MZ Icon now enters an era defined by maturity, individuality, and vision. Baguio-hailed band Cup of Joe‘s “Multo“ claimed the Top Local Song in the Philippines, and the group earned the titles of Top Local Artist and Top Local Group. Their blend of melodic arrangements, relatable lyricism, and heartfelt delivery made their music a familiar presence across many listening moments this year.
Reflecting on the milestone, Cup of Joe shared: “It’s incredibly overwhelming to see our songs become part of people’s playlists and their big moments this year — it reminds us that we’ve somehow become part of their story. Knowing that someone found comfort or connection in our music is one of the best feelings. We’re excited to grow, experiment, and share more pieces of ourselves with our listeners.”
They share the spotlight with fellow Filipino acts whose diverse sounds defined this year’s Top Local Songs. Earl Agustin’s “Tibok“ landed at #2 with its melodic groove, followed by Dionela’s “Marilag“ (#3), a soulful standout. Amiel Sol’s “Sa Bawat Sandali“ took #4 spot with its reflective tone, while HELLMERRY’s “My Day“ completed the list at #5 with its hip-hop edge.
Podcasts also remained a strong part of Filipinos’ listening this year, with many seeking out stories that feel relatable and familiar. Filipinos turned to intimate storytelling, laugh-out-loud conversations, and even spine-tingling narratives.
Barangay Love Stories (#1) once again landed as the Top Podcast in the Philippines. It was followed by Papa Dudut Stories (#2) and Will Talks(#3), both known for their conversation-led, advice-driven formats. Sitio Bangungot (#5) took the final spot, bringing their narrative-driven horror to this year’s list.
