  • AJ Colico Turns Gen Z’s Biggest ‘What If’ Into a Heartfelt Pop Anthem With ‘Hi Hello’

AJ Colico Turns Gen Z’s Biggest ‘What If’ Into a Heartfelt Pop Anthem With ‘Hi Hello’

Not every love story begins with fireworks. Sometimes, it starts with a passing glance in a school hallway, a mutual follow on social media, or a greeting that never evolves into a real conversation.

Those quiet, unresolved moments—the ones that linger long after graduation—take center stage in AJ Colico’s newest single, Hi Hello,” a nostalgic pop ballad that captures the emotional weight of missed chances, first love, and the courage it takes to rewrite a story years in the making.

Released under iMe Philippines, the track finds the rising singer, actor, and digital creator leaning into vulnerability, transforming one of Gen Z’s most relatable experiences into a song that feels deeply personal yet universally familiar.

At its core, Hi Hello follows two people whose lives repeatedly intersect from high school through adulthood. Every encounter begins the same way—with a simple greeting—but fear, timing, and uncertainty prevent either of them from taking the next step. As the years pass, their connection becomes another unfinished chapter built on lingering questions and unrealized possibilities.

“I think everyone has that one person they never really forgot,” Colico said. “Maybe it was your high school crush or someone you only got to say ‘hi’ to. I hope people listen to this song and remember that sometimes, all it takes is a little courage to change your story.”

It’s a sentiment that resonates with a generation accustomed to living somewhere between real life and the digital world. Relationships today often begin with a follow request, a story reaction, or a message left unsent. While technology has made communication easier than ever, it has also amplified hesitation, leaving countless connections suspended in the space between curiosity and confession.

That emotional landscape is what makes Hi Hello feel particularly timely.

The song reflects what many listeners might recognize as their own “Hi Hello” era—a period defined not by relationships that flourished, but by the ones that almost did.

Maybe it’s the classmate whose smile you still remember years later. Maybe it’s the person whose profile occasionally appears on your feed, prompting thoughts of what could have happened had either of you spoken first. Or perhaps it’s the realization that saying “hi” was never the difficult part—it was finding the courage to continue the conversation.

The track also introduces the symbolic idea that everyone has a “Katie”—not necessarily someone by that name, but the person who quietly became life’s greatest “what if.” They’re the face that remained unforgettable despite never becoming part of your story, the memory carried not because of what happened, but because of everything that didn’t.

Rather than dwelling on regret, however, Hi Hello offers something more hopeful. It suggests that every meaningful connection begins with an ordinary moment, and sometimes the smallest act of courage can change the course of a story that has remained unfinished for years.

The single was officially launched on July 28, 2026, through a special event held in partnership with TikTok Philippines, where fans, fellow creators, and invited guests gathered to celebrate its release. More than a launch party, the event reflected Colico’s growing influence as he continues expanding his creative identity beyond digital platforms.

Known to many as a content creator and performer, Colico has steadily built a multifaceted career that bridges entertainment and music. His recent milestones include representing the Philippines at the TopKlout 10th K-World Influencer Summit in China and meeting supporters during the successful Dylan and AJ Colico Fanverse Experience Meet & Greet. With Hi Hello, he adds another layer to his artistry—one rooted in honest storytelling and emotional authenticity.

While first-love songs are hardly new to pop music, Hi Hello distinguishes itself by embracing the beauty of incompletion. Instead of celebrating happily-ever-afters, it finds meaning in unanswered questions, missed timing, and the quiet hope that some stories are still waiting for their next chapter.

For anyone who’s ever replayed an old memory, hesitated before pressing “send,” or wondered where life might have led if they had simply spoken up, AJ Colico’s latest single serves as both a reminder and an invitation.

Sometimes, the biggest stories begin with the smallest words.

Hi Hello by AJ Colico is now available on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and other major music streaming platforms.

  • Maki and James Reid take a chance on love with first collaboration, “luck”

Maki and James Reid take a chance on love with first collaboration, “luck”

OPM singer-songwriter Maki continues to expand the emotional universe of his ongoing “pink era” with the release of “luck,” a new collaboration featuring singer-actor James Reid. The track marks the first musical partnership between the two artists, bringing together Maki’s introspective songwriting and James’ genre-blurring pop sensibilities in a reflective anthem about the uncertainties of falling in love.

Released under Tarsier Records, “luck” explores romance through the metaphor of a gamble, portraying love as a leap of faith where certainty is elusive and vulnerability becomes the greatest risk. Rather than promising happy endings, the song embraces the unpredictability of emotional connection, suggesting that the willingness to take a chance is, in itself, an act of hope.

Musically, “luck” blends alternative and indie-pop influences, pairing understated production with melodic hooks that allow both artists’ distinct vocal styles to complement one another. Maki’s heartfelt delivery anchors the song’s emotional core, while James adds a polished, contemporary edge that reflects his evolution as one of OPM’s most versatile pop artists.

The collaboration also highlights Maki’s growing presence on the international songwriting stage. He co-wrote the track with acclaimed producers and songwriters Gaby Ramirez, Pontus Kalm, Greg Shilling, and Shintaro Yasuda, whose collective credits span some of today’s biggest global acts, including Ariana Grande, BTS, LE SSERAFIM, aespa, and BINI. Their contributions help shape a polished yet emotionally grounded sound that bridges contemporary pop with Maki’s signature storytelling.

“Luck” serves as the latest chapter in Maki’s “pink era,” a creative phase that began with the release of “habangbuhay pansamantala.” While that single introduced a softer and more emotionally vulnerable side of the artist, the new release broadens the narrative by examining the courage required to pursue love despite the possibility of heartbreak. Together, the songs suggest an artist increasingly interested in documenting the complexities of human relationships through a cohesive sonic and visual identity.

The release follows a period of growing international visibility for Maki. Earlier this year, he brought his music to audiences in Indonesia and Singapore through his “KOLORCOASTER” tour, performing fan favorites such as “Dilaw,” “Namumula,” and “kahel na langit.” During the tour’s Indonesia stop, he also appeared on the country’s popular comedy program Lapor Pak!, introducing his personality and music to a broader regional audience.

For James Reid, “luck” adds another dimension to a career defined by constant reinvention. Over the past decade, the singer-songwriter has cultivated a sound that blends alternative pop, R&B, and contemporary OPM, establishing himself as one of the country’s most forward-thinking recording artists. Earlier this year, he released the single “Richest Man Alive” and continues to balance his music career with acting, currently starring in the ABS-CBN primetime series Someone, Someday.

With “luck,” Maki and James Reid deliver more than a long-awaited collaboration. The single brings together two artists from different creative spaces to examine the emotional uncertainty that accompanies love, offering a thoughtful and understated addition to today’s OPM landscape. As Maki’s “pink era” continues to unfold, the collaboration signals an artist growing more confident in both his storytelling and his willingness to explore new creative partnerships.

  • Janine Berdin expands her breakout era with MORE LAB SONGS NG MGA TANGA, sets sights on first headline concert

Janine Berdin expands her breakout era with MORE LAB SONGS NG MGA TANGA, sets sights on first headline concert

In an era when many debut albums disappear from public conversation within weeks, Janine Berdin’s LAB SONGS NG MGA TANGA has done the opposite: it has continued to grow.

Months after its release, the album remains one of the year’s most resonant OPM records, propelled by sustained word-of-mouth support and the viral rise of “What If I Miss You For the Rest of My Life?” What began as a deeply personal collection of songs about love, heartbreak, and emotional uncertainty has gradually evolved into a project with unexpected international reach, finding listeners in the United States, the United Kingdom, and other parts of the world.

Rather than treating that momentum as a fleeting viral moment, Berdin is extending the life of the album with MORE LAB SONGS NG MGA TANGA, a deluxe edition that functions as both a continuation of the original record and a thank-you to the fan community that embraced it from the start.

The expanded release adds four new songs—”Friendship Over,” “Mirisi,” “PROMISE!!!,” and “Uneasy”—alongside a live studio version of “What If I Miss You For the Rest of My Life?” Together, the tracks widen the emotional scope of the album while preserving the candid storytelling that made the original resonate so strongly with listeners.

At the center of the deluxe edition is “PROMISE!!!,” which arrived ahead of the full release and quickly emerged as one of Berdin’s most emotionally exposed recordings. The song traces the fragile territory between heartbreak and obsession, capturing the desperation of trying to hold on to a relationship that is already slipping away.

Opening the new chapter is “Friendship Over,” an intimate pop confession that transforms the quiet pain of growing apart into something universally relatable. Berdin’s songwriting remains sharply observant, balancing humor, self-awareness, and emotional honesty without collapsing into melodrama.

“Mirisi” stands out as one of the project’s most ambitious moments. Effortlessly moving between English, Tagalog, and Bisaya, the track highlights Berdin’s multilingual storytelling and reflects a broader reality of contemporary Filipino music, where identity and emotion are often expressed across multiple languages within a single song.

The updated version of “Uneasy” brings a different energy to the collection. Crunchy guitars, punchy drums, and soaring hooks give the song a more urgent, pop-rock edge, amplifying its portrayal of emotional confusion and mixed signals that blur the line between friendship and romance.

Closing the deluxe set is the long-requested Live in the Studio version of “What If I Miss You For the Rest of My Life?” Stripped back to its bare essentials, the performance foregrounds Berdin’s voice and allows the song’s vulnerability to land with even greater intimacy, emphasizing why it connected so deeply with audiences online.

The release also arrives ahead of a major career milestone: Berdin’s first-ever headline concert on Oct. 7. Framed as the culmination of the LAB SONGS NG MGA TANGA era, the show is expected to bring together the community of fans who have adopted the album’s stories as part of their own emotional lives. More than a live performance, the concert represents a gathering point for the ever-growing “mga tanga” community that has formed around Berdin’s music.

For Berdin, the deluxe edition feels less like a repackaging and more like a document of an artist in motion. It captures a songwriter who trusted her own voice, embraced specificity instead of chasing trends, and discovered that the most personal stories can often travel the farthest.

That journey has already begun to extend beyond the Philippines. The viral success of “What If I Miss You For the Rest of My Life?” has generated millions of streams and inspired thousands of fan-created videos across social media, while also attracting attention from international artists and audiences. The growing global response suggests that Berdin’s appeal lies not in novelty, but in the emotional clarity of her songwriting.

As MORE LAB SONGS NG MGA TANGA arrives, it becomes clear that Berdin is no longer simply promoting a debut album; she is building a creative world that listeners continue to return to long after the first play. If this chapter has established anything, it is that Janine Berdin’s breakthrough is not a moment that has already passed—it is a story that is still unfolding.

  • Ariana Grande blossoms into a new era with the release of eighth studio album petal

Ariana Grande blossoms into a new era with the release of eighth studio album petal

Ariana Grande has officially entered a new chapter in her career with the release of petal, her eighth studio album, out now via Republic Records. Arriving after months of anticipation, the record marks the pop icon’s first full-length musical project since 2024’s eternal sunshine and showcases a renewed artistic direction shaped by vulnerability, introspection, and emotional honesty.

Executive produced and co-written by Grande alongside longtime collaborator ILYA, petal builds on the creative momentum of her previous work while exploring new sonic and lyrical territory. The album is led by “hate that i made you love me,” which introduced listeners to the project’s emotional landscape ahead of its release and set the tone for an era centered on growth, reflection, and transformation.

With petal, Grande continues to refine her signature blend of polished pop and contemporary R&B while embracing richer, more cinematic production. Throughout the album, layered vocal arrangements, intimate songwriting, and expansive instrumentation underscore a body of work that balances mainstream appeal with a more personal artistic vision, further demonstrating her evolution as both a songwriter and producer.

The release follows a remarkable period in Grande’s career that saw her expand her influence beyond music. Since the arrival of eternal sunshine, the three-time Grammy Award winner has earned widespread acclaim for her portrayal of Glinda in Jon M. Chu’s Wicked films, receiving nominations from the Academy Awards, Golden Globe Awards, BAFTA Awards, Critics Choice Awards, and Screen Actors Guild Awards. Collectively, Wicked and Wicked: For Good have grossed more than $1.2 billion worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing film franchise adapted from a Broadway musical.

Despite her growing success in Hollywood, petal signals that music remains at the heart of Grande’s creative identity. The album arrives as another milestone in a career defined by commercial success and artistic reinvention. Over the past decade, Grande has amassed more than 125 billion streams worldwide, earned eight consecutive platinum-certified albums, and scored nine No. 1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100, cementing her place among the defining pop artists of her generation.

Beyond the album, Grande continues to expand her creative portfolio. She recently completed production on Universal Pictures’ Focker-In-Law, starring alongside Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro, is set to make her West End debut in a 2027 revival of Sunday in the Park with George opposite Jonathan Bailey, and will appear in Warner Bros.’ animated adaptation of Dr. Seuss’ Oh, the Places You’ll Go! as well as an upcoming season of FX’s American Horror Story.

With petal, Grande delivers an album that reflects both artistic confidence and personal growth, reaffirming her ability to evolve without losing sight of the emotional storytelling that has long defined her music. As she balances a flourishing career across music, film, and theater, the record stands as the beginning of yet another ambitious chapter for one of pop’s most enduring voices.

  • SB19 doubles down on artistic freedom with genre-defying new single “LAWLESS”

SB19 doubles down on artistic freedom with genre-defying new single “LAWLESS”

After commanding international attention with a breakout performance at Lollapalooza Chicago, SB19 returns with “LAWLESS,” a swaggering, genre-bending single that reframes the group’s identity through themes of creative autonomy, reinvention, and defiance. Premiered live during the quintet’s historic set at one of the world’s most celebrated music festivals, the track signals not just another comeback, but a declaration of intent from a group increasingly unconcerned with convention.

While much of SB19’s recent catalog has explored resilience, ambition, and personal growth, “LAWLESS” shifts the narrative toward liberation. The song adopts the language and imagery of the outlaw—not as an act of rebellion for rebellion’s sake, but as a metaphor for artists choosing to exist outside predetermined boundaries. “I’m lawless, better be cautious,” the members proclaim, transforming the archetype of the fugitive into one of fearless self-determination and creative agency.

That ethos extends well beyond the lyrics. Sonically, “LAWLESS” is among SB19’s most adventurous releases to date, refusing to settle within the familiar confines of contemporary P-Pop. Built on thunderous percussion, cinematic arrangements, and arena-ready hooks, the track seamlessly merges hip-hop bravado with polished pop sensibilities while weaving in elements of Western film scores, surf rock guitar textures, and larger-than-life sound design. Rather than treating these influences as stylistic novelties, the production integrates them into a cohesive soundscape that feels theatrical without sacrificing accessibility.

The result is a song that thrives on tension and contrast. Rugged guitars collide with sleek electronic production, while swagger-filled verses give way to soaring melodic refrains. Every shift in arrangement reinforces the central idea of unpredictability, reflecting a band that has become increasingly comfortable challenging both audience expectations and the conventions of mainstream pop.

The accompanying music video further expands the single’s conceptual world by reimagining the mythology of the Wild West through SB19’s distinctly playful lens. Borrowing visual cues from classic Western cinema, the video embraces the aesthetics of outlaws, dusty landscapes, and high-stakes showdowns, only to subvert them with self-aware humor, stylized choreography, and cinematic spectacle. The group’s trademark charisma keeps the visuals from becoming overly serious, striking a balance between homage and parody while reinforcing the song’s central message of rewriting one’s own narrative.

The release also arrives at a defining moment in SB19’s trajectory. Their widely praised appearance at Lollapalooza Chicago marked another milestone in the group’s steady expansion onto the global stage, placing Filipino pop alongside internationally recognized acts in one of music’s most influential festival circuits. Rather than using that momentum to play it safe, “LAWLESS” demonstrates a willingness to take even greater creative risks, positioning artistic evolution—not commercial predictability—as the driving force behind the group’s next chapter.

Written by John Paulo Nase (RADKIDZ), Joshua Daniel Nase (RADKIDZ), Josh Cullen Santos, Tomas Costanza, Tim Gent, and Charles Anthony Rangel, the single benefits from a collaborative songwriting process that mirrors its expansive sonic identity. Production from John Paulo Nase, Joshua Daniel Nase, and Tomas Costanza embraces maximalism without overwhelming the song’s core melodies, while Emil Dela Rosa’s mixing and mastering preserve clarity amid the track’s densely layered instrumentation.

As P-Pop continues to gain international visibility, “LAWLESS” stands as another example of how Filipino artists are broadening the genre’s sonic vocabulary while remaining rooted in strong storytelling and performance. For SB19, the single is less about rejecting rules than it is about redefining them on their own terms—a confident statement from a group intent on charting its own course, regardless of where the boundaries once stood.

“LAWLESS” is now available on all major digital streaming platforms worldwide via Sony Music Entertainment, accompanied by its official music video.

Building on that success, Berdin returns with “PROMISE…!!!,” the latest single from the forthcoming deluxe edition of LAB SONGS NG MGA TANGA. Rather than slowing the album’s momentum, the new release expands its emotional landscape with stories that delve even deeper into love, loss, and longing.

“PROMISE…!!!” serves as an anthem for anyone who has found themselves bargaining, pleading, or making impossible promises in an attempt to save a relationship. It speaks to those who have sent desperate messages in all caps, only to be left on read.

At its core, the song captures the vulnerability of holding on when love is slipping away. Berdin delivers the track with emotional honesty, turning every lyric into a deeply personal confession. True to its sentiment, the singer-songwriter revealed that the song was inspired by her own experience.

“I wrote this about the time I kept begging on Messenger, naka all caps, tapos seenzone lang. Cringe.”

That candid admission gives the song an authenticity that resonates throughout the performance. Rather than simply reminding listeners of heartbreak, “PROMISE…!!!” invites them to revisit those emotions, embrace them, and find comfort in the shared experience of loving and losing.

Berdin officially unveiled the single during a special launch event on July 9, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the critically acclaimed album. With “PROMISE…!!!,” she continues to establish herself as one of OPM’s most promising artists, while the deluxe edition offers fans a richer and more expansive continuation of the stories that first connected with audiences.

  • Moonstar88 Invites Fans to Slow Down With New Single “Kape Tayo,” Out July 10

Moonstar88 Invites Fans to Slow Down With New Single “Kape Tayo,” Out July 10

Beloved OPM band celebrates the release with an intimate Coffee Tour across Metro Manila and Antipolo

Acclaimed OPM band Moonstar88 returns with its newest single, “Kape Tayo,” available on all major digital streaming platforms beginning July 10. Comprised of Maysh Baay (vocals, guitars), Herbert Hernandez (guitars), and Bon Sundiang (drums), the band continues its tradition of heartfelt songwriting with a track that celebrates the beauty of slowing down and reconnecting with the people who matter most.

Inspired by the simple act of sharing coffee, “Kape Tayo” reflects on the quiet moments where genuine conversations often unfold. Whether catching up with an old friend, spending time with loved ones, or stepping away from the demands of everyday life, the song serves as an invitation to pause, listen, and be present.

For Moonstar88, the phrase “Kape tayo” has evolved beyond an invitation for coffee—it has become a way of saying, “I want to spend time with you.” Drawing from the band’s own experiences, the song captures the laughter, comfort, reflection, and healing found in shared conversations over a cup of coffee. Throughout the track, coffee becomes a silent witness to life’s milestones, dreams, celebrations, and even its most challenging moments, highlighting the value of meaningful human connection.

Musically, “Kape Tayo” embraces a warm, laid-back sound that mirrors the atmosphere of a cozy neighborhood café. The band intentionally approached the recording with a relaxed and intimate style, allowing each performance to feel natural and unhurried. Vocalist Maysh Baay even recorded several vocal takes while seated on the studio floor to capture the song’s quiet sincerity.

Adding further emotional depth is a lush string arrangement by Ria Osorio, whose live instrumentation enhances the song’s reflective tone. The track was produced by Rye Sarmiento of 6cyclemind and features songwriting contributions from Darwin Hernandez, resulting in a rich and heartfelt listening experience.

To mark the release, Moonstar88 is embarking on the “Kape Tayo” Coffee Tour, a series of intimate acoustic performances in cafés across Metro Manila and Antipolo. Rather than traditional concert venues, the band chose coffee shops that embody the spirit of the song—spaces where music, conversation, and community naturally come together.

Fans will have the opportunity to experience “Kape Tayo” live in the intimate settings that inspired its creation before the tour culminates at the Manila Coffee Festival 2026 at SM Megamall on July 18, where coffee enthusiasts and music fans will gather for a special celebration of the new single.

With “Kape Tayo,” Moonstar88 hopes to remind listeners to embrace life’s quieter moments and make time for meaningful conversations amid an increasingly fast-paced world. Whether enjoyed over a morning coffee, during a late-night conversation with friends, or in a peaceful moment alone, the song serves as a soundtrack for genuine connection and shared memories.

“Kape Tayo” is now available on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Deezer, and other major digital streaming platforms.

Blending conversational Tagalog lyricism with atmospheric production, “Minuto” serves as both a love song and a reflection of gratitude. It speaks to a generation searching for stability amid uncertainty, offering a sense of calm through genuine connection. With its upbeat yet grounded energy, the track presents a refreshing take on romance—one that values emotional safety as much as passion.

Known for his easygoing demeanor but detail-oriented approach to music, Lorenzo Jan ensures every release reflects both authenticity and precision. Influenced by acts such as The Strokes, The 1975, Gorillaz, and Dallon Weekes of iDKHOW, he continues to shape a sound that blends raw, band-driven energy with modern pop sensibilities.

From creating music in his room during lockdown to performing on bigger stages, Lorenzo’s journey reflects persistence, growth, and self-awareness. As he continues to build his catalog, his goal remains clear: to become a fully established homegrown artist while creating music that resonates deeply with listeners.

With “Minuto,” Lorenzo Jan invites audiences to slow down and appreciate the moments that matter most, proving that sometimes, even a single minute can hold a lifetime of meaning.

“Minuto” will be available on Spotify, YouTube, TikTok, and other digital streaming platforms beginning July 17. Follow Lorenzo Jan on his official social media accounts for updates and exclusive content.

  • MEI MEI Revives Filipino Novelty Pop with Bold New Single “Alembong”

MEI MEI Revives Filipino Novelty Pop with Bold New Single “Alembong”

Following the breakout success of their debut single, “Telebong (Hello Po),” eight-member P-pop girl group MEI MEI returns with “Alembong,” the second release from their forthcoming HELLO PO! EP. Produced by Groovy Garden Records, the track further cements the group’s mission of reintroducing novelty pop to a new generation through infectious melodies, unapologetic confidence, and distinctly Filipino storytelling.

While “Telebong (Hello Po)” introduced listeners to MEI MEI’s playful and energetic charm, “Alembong” embraces a bolder, sassier persona. Packed with powerful vocals, fiery rap verses, and dynamic choreography, the song celebrates femininity, self-confidence, and the strength of embracing one’s individuality.

“As if ‘Alembong’ was a person, she would be a baddie! Her walk, her style, and her confidence would really have you hooked,” shares “Spark MEI MEI” Alexa, describing the spirit of the group’s latest release.

The members hold a special connection to the song, as “Alembong” was the first track they recorded together as a group. “Diva MEI MEI” Dina affectionately calls it her “first love,” comparing the song to halo-halo for its colorful blend of different flavors that come together into one uniquely Filipino experience.

For “Groovy MEI MEI” Yuni, the song represents the essence of the group itself.

“Whenever I listen to it, it just makes me feel so alive and dance-y. I love how it feels so uniquely Filipino in a way that a lot of people can appreciate, because it also reminds me of the classic Filipino sound while still having its own sound and identity.”

The accompanying music video fully embraces that Filipino identity. Set against familiar neighborhood streets, vibrant community spaces, and a lively fiesta backdrop, the visual transforms everyday local scenery into an energetic celebration of culture, confidence, and youthful expression. Complemented by colorful production design and performance-driven choreography, the video captures the spirited personality that defines both the song and the group.

Behind the scenes, the recording process reflected MEI MEI’s close-knit chemistry. According to leader “Power MEI MEI” Jessie, the song’s closing segment was recorded with all eight members gathered around a single microphone.

“The ending part in ‘Alembong,’ we all recorded it with one mic. Our interaction and laughter were all real, and it was so fun to do.”

The laughter heard in the track was equally authentic. “Sweet MEI MEI” Aerise recalls that recording the group’s laughter unexpectedly became one of the most memorable moments of the session.

“We had to record our laughter one by one. I thought it would be hard, pero we did it smoothly kasi the atmosphere at that time was already funny.”

MEI MEI enters this release with considerable momentum. Their debut single, “Telebong (Hello Po),” generated more than two million views across official and user-generated content on digital platforms while surpassing half a million views on its official music video within its first month.

With two tracks now unveiled from the upcoming HELLO PO! EP, anticipation continues to build for the group’s next chapter. Through infectious hooks, playful storytelling, and proudly Filipino concepts, MEI MEI is steadily carving out its own space in today’s thriving P-pop landscape.

“Alembong” is now available on all major digital streaming platforms, with its official music video streaming on YouTube.

GenZix Raises the Bar with Cinematic “Teka Teka” Music Video

Filipino P-pop boy group GenZix has officially unveiled the music video for its latest single, “Teka Teka,” offering fans a high-energy visual experience that underscores the group’s continued artistic evolution. The music video made its official debut during an exclusive premiere night held at Cinema 3 of Fisher Mall on Quezon Avenue.

Driven by infectious melodies and an upbeat production, “Teka Teka” showcases GenZix’s signature blend of synchronized choreography, youthful charisma, and confident performances. The single embraces a playful yet assertive tone, reflecting the group’s growing identity within the Philippine pop music landscape while delivering a sound that is both contemporary and distinctly P-pop.

Complementing the track is a cinematic music video that transforms an industrial construction site into a dynamic performance stage. Steel beams, scaffolding, heavy machinery, and unfinished structures serve as striking visual elements, creating a bold backdrop that mirrors the song’s vibrant energy. The industrial aesthetic, paired with crisp cinematography and seamless editing, amplifies the group’s powerful choreography while highlighting each member’s stage presence.

Throughout the video, GenZix balances polished dance sequences with narrative-driven visuals, resulting in a production that is both visually engaging and performance-focused. The contrast between the rugged construction setting and the group’s refined styling reinforces the video’s central theme of building something new—a fitting metaphor for the quartet’s steady rise in the P-pop industry.

The music video’s choreography remains at the heart of the production, featuring synchronized formations and energetic movements that complement the song’s rhythmic momentum. Combined with dynamic camera work and carefully crafted visual transitions, the video delivers an immersive viewing experience designed to leave a lasting impression on audiences.

The music video was first screened during an exclusive premiere attended by fans, members of the media, content creators, industry professionals, and invited guests. The event provided attendees with the opportunity to experience the release ahead of its public launch and celebrate the group’s newest musical milestone alongside the members.

Released under Arcana Studios, “Teka Teka” represents another step forward for GenZix as the four-member group continues to establish its place in the rapidly growing P-pop scene. Through original music, performance-driven concepts, and increasingly ambitious visual productions, the group continues to build a distinct identity that resonates with today’s generation of music listeners.

The “Teka Teka” music video is now available on GenZix’s official digital platforms.

  • After going viral, P-Pop girl group KAIA turns an exciting new page with “hulog”

After going viral, P-Pop girl group KAIA turns an exciting new page with “hulog”

Produced by hitmaker Shadiel Chan, the group’s latest release showcases a softer, more mature sound following newfound momentum.

After captivating local and international audiences with the viral cover of “Takedown”—which has amassed more than millions of views across social media—and following the release of their fan-favorite single “Tanga,” emerging P-Pop powerhouse KAIA makes a triumphant comeback with “hulog,” their new single under Sony Music Entertainment.

Where “Tanga” mined the irrational things people do in the name of love, “hulog” steers the direction toward something lighter, brighter, and more hopeful: the exhilarating feeling of falling in love. Built around the central question, “Paano ka ba nahulog?,” the song invites listeners to revisit the innocent and exciting moments that made their hearts flutter for someone in the first place.

The song celebrates romance in its purest form, capturing the indescribable joy and overwhelming feeling of someone who is ready to fall in love.

hulog came at the right time because it really represents where we are as KAIA now,” shares the five-piece pop group. “After everything we’ve experienced from our previous releases and the love we received from our fans, we wanted to share a song that shows a more vulnerable and heartfelt side of us. This song is about vulnerability, about allowing ourselves to be open, to take risks, and to embrace the emotions that come with caring deeply about something or someone. We felt that it was the perfect song to mark this new chapter because it reflects our growth not just as artists but also as individuals.”

The release marks a big moment for KAIA as it taps some of the most influential names in today’s modern OPM. “hulog” is produced by Shadiel Chan of Nine Degrees North, alongside Ken Ponce, with Chan cementing his reputation as one of the country’s premier hitmakers. Widely recognized as the producer behind Cup of Joe’s blockbuster hit “Multo” and numerous chart-topping records over the past five years, Chan brings his signature melodic chops and production touches to KAIA’s latest release.

The song’s lyrics were penned by Jikamarie, Red Ridao, Ron Pangyarihan, and Chan himself; KAIA, on the other hand, contributed to the creative process by sharing their experiences and perspectives. “Working with Mr. Shadiel Chan was truly a dream for us. We’ve always admired his work, especially his ability to create deeply emotional songs like Multo, so getting the chance to collaborate with him felt really surreal and special.”

The acclaimed quintet adds, “It was also a dream for us to perform a song created by Mr. Shadiel Chan and Mr. Red Ridao. We are truly grateful and honored to have worked with them on hulog, as they thoughtfully shaped its sound and emotion while guiding us in delivering the right feelings through our vocals. The entire experience made the song even more meaningful and special for us as artists.”

hulog stands out thanks to its warm, uplifting production, backed by carefully crafted vocal arrangements. Throughout the recording, KAIA worked closely with Chan, Ponce, and R&B singer-songwriter Jikamarie, who guided the group through harmonies, ad-libs, and vocal interpretation.

“While recording, we learned so much from our producers and Ms. Jikamarie, who helped us with the adlibs and harmonies, allowing us to explore and bring out different emotions in the song,” KAIA reveals. “We also had meaningful conversations that helped us connect with the message of hulog on a deeper level. The process gave us the chance to look back on some of our happiest memories and use those genuine feelings to bring more heart and authenticity into our performance.”

KAIA’s “hulog” is out now on all digital music platforms worldwide via Sony Music Entertainment.
