  • Rising Star Dwarf Joins KDR Music House Under Daddy A

Rising Star Dwarf Joins KDR Music House Under Daddy A

MANILA, Philippines — Singer-songwriter Dwarf has officially signed with KDR Music House, a significant milestone in his budding career. With Daddy A at the helm Dwarf now steps on a bigger stage with a team dedicated to building his true voice and expanding his reach.

Dwarf is known for his emotional late night vibe, and his music feels deeply personal and nostalgic. He describes his sound as “mystical folk pop” a heartfelt blend of indie pop ballads, dream pop and alternative folk. He is a self-proclaimed “keeper of memories” who transforms simple feelings into songs that hit deep.

Dwarf told of his journey. His love for music was sparked early, singing at age 8, teaching himself guitar at age 11 and writing original songs at age 14. Unlike many young artists who base their work on covers, Dwarf chose to write his own material from the start, creating a truly original artistic voice.

The society doubted him and the struggles of making music as a career were real but Dwarf found validation in his audience. He recalled one powerful moment when, during a live gig, a listener told him that his music helped her through a dark period. “That’s the kind of feedback that makes me do this,” he said, discussing the power of healing and emotional connection his songs create.

Dwarf explained his stage name with humor and humility. His very common legal name (Vincent) and his acceptance of his shortness turned potential liabilities into tokens of distinctiveness. The name is a reflection of his desire to be different and to honor what makes him special.

He is also known for his signature orange sombrero, a playful but memorable part of his stage presence. Dwarf teased taking this into a more mystical, fantasy-influenced aesthetic in the future, pulling from characters like Hobbits, which fits right into his “mystical folk pop” identity.

Dwarf’s new single “Junior’s Night” captures the butterflies, innocence and pure joy of first love and “firsts” in general. The song was written in a flash of inspiration when I woke up at dawn, inspired by nostalgic Facebook memories.

Writing songs for Dwarf is an extremely immersive and vulnerable experience, often likened to method acting. He gets deep into the emotions behind the lyrics and makes each song a real, soulful experience, the opposite of AI-generated music. Melody and lyrics flow out together, according to his mood and spur-of-the-moment inspiration.

Dwarf was thankful and trusting of his new team at KDR Music House. “I feel like I’ve finally found home,” he said. “Now I’ve got a team that believes in me, and helps me get my music out to more people.

Daddy A and the KDR Music House team talked about the cultural fit. They respect Dwarf’s creative freedom, but provide him with the structure and industry guidance to amplify his vision. The label’s collaborative, family-like environment is a perfect fit for Dwarf’s style and long term potential.

Both artist and manager stressed plans for consistent releases, collaborations, and live shows. One of the major development areas is to fine-tune his sound, look and overall presentation to create a unique, personal artistic identity for Dwarf, distinct from influences like December Avenue or Ebe Dancel.

With strong management, a distinctive sound, and an authentic connection to listeners, Dwarf is poised to make his mark in the Philippine music scene. Keep an eye out for “Junior’s Night” and more magical releases from this rising “mystical folk pop” talent.

  • New Genre Alert: VOLTER Introduces “Ppop&B” with His Next Release

New Genre Alert: VOLTER Introduces “Ppop&B” with His Next Release

In a music scene where Filipino artists are constantly redefining what OPM can sound like, VOLTER steps into his next chapter with a clear artistic statement: the arrival of Ppop&B, a sound that blends the accessibility of P-pop, the emotional weight of blues, and the smooth soulfulness of R&B.

For VOLTER, this is not just a genre experiment. It is a personal direction.

His upcoming release, “KALMADO,” introduces a sound rooted in peace, emotional honesty, and quiet confidence. Instead of chasing loud production or trend-heavy formulas, VOLTER leans into something more intimate: music that feels like a late-night conversation, a deep breath after chaos, and a reminder that calmness can also be powerful.

Ppop&B can be described as Filipino pop with soul, vulnerability, and blues-inspired emotional storytelling. It carries the melodic appeal of P-pop, the vocal warmth of R&B, and the raw emotional truth often found in blues. But in VOLTER’s hands, it becomes something distinctly his own — modern, heartfelt, Taglish-friendly, and deeply Filipino.

“KALMADO” reflects the heart of this new sound. The song is not built around heartbreak alone, nor is it simply a love song. It is about finding peace in someone’s presence. It is about being held together when the world feels noisy. It is about love as a quiet shelter, not a dramatic escape.

This direction also marks a deeper evolution for VOLTER as an artist. After years of performing different styles and serving different stages, he now steps forward with a clearer identity: an artist shaped by faith, acceptance, dignity, and peace. His music is not trying to impress for validation. It is trying to connect with people who have learned that stillness can be strength.

With Ppop&B, VOLTER is not just releasing a song. He is opening a world.

A world where Filipino pop does not always have to be explosive to be memorable.
A world where softness can still sound strong.
A world where vulnerability is not weakness.
A world where calm is not boring — it is healing.

As “KALMADO” prepares for release, VOLTER introduces listeners to a new lane in Filipino music: Ppop&B — pop for the heart, blues for the soul, and R&B for the feeling.

  • VVINK delivers bold artistic statement in It Starts With A Wink – The First Full Album

VVINK delivers bold artistic statement in It Starts With A Wink – The First Full Album

Packed with infectious pop anthems and emotionally resonant tracks, It Starts With A Wink showcases the quintet’s versatility and ambition.

P-Pop girl group VVINK embraces a clear and deliberate artistic statement in It Starts With A Wink – The First Full Album, a 14-track record released under FlipMusic. More than a collection of meticulously produced, summer pop anthems, the project arrives with a cohesive sonic and emotional narrative meant to be experienced from beginning to end.

Built around the phrase “It Starts With A Wink,” the debut full-length album draws from the idea of a secret signal between people: an unspoken understanding that instantly creates connection. In the same way, the record represents the familiar emotions, humor, awkwardness, friendships, and vulnerabilities that define young Filipino adulthood, creating a communal listening experience that sounds unmistakably Filipino in every sense.

In an era increasingly dominated by streaming and short-form virality, It Starts With A Wink – The First Full Album stands out for capturing youthful memories with uplifting effervescence: honed by carefree and playful sentiments but never lacking in tenderness and sophistication. Designed as a no-skips body of work that unfolds through recurring sonic ideas, transitions, interludes, emotional callbacks, and tonal shifts, the album plays like actual memories framed with intention rather than isolated algorithmic moments.

The album opens confidently with “I-N-T-R-O,” immediately introducing VVINK’s vocal identity before transitioning into the infectious energy of “Tulala” and the explosive hyperpop-meets-budots fusion of “Baduy,” featuring world-renowned producer DJ Love. As the record slowly unfurls its character, tracks like “Tatlong Hiling” showcase the group’s softer, more emotional side while “Tulog Pa Si Ganda” injects a trippy mosaic of Jersey beats, funky house, and Miami bass. Nica Del Rosario’s GL-inspired track “Kailan Ka Aamin,” adds another layer of emotional honesty, contemporary Filipino storytelling, and inclusivity to the album. Situated at the center of the record is “Pag-ibig Fun,” a bright, witty, and inescapable pop jam that perfectly welcomes the album’s carefree spirit and distinct edge.

The latter half of It Starts With A Wink – The First Full Album settles into heartfelt territory with the trifecta of “Ikaw Lang Ang Kulang,” “Oo,” and “Ikaw Ikaw,” elevating the group’s pop sensibilities with a smattering of charisma and indelible songwriting chops. The record closes with “It’s A Rap,” an explosive boom-bap-driven track that highlights VVINK’s versatility as performers, and “VVINK VVINK,” a brief but intentional teaser hinting at the group’s future sonic direction.

Helmed by select powerhouse producers and composers from FlipMusic under the direction of Head Music Producer Julius James “Bojam” de Belen (BINI’s Talaarawan, Sarah Geronimo’s “Tala” and “Ikot-Ikot,” and the Diary ng Panget original soundtrack), alongside hitmakers Nica Del Rosario (Sarah Geronimo’s “Tala,” BINI’s “Na Na Na” and “Karera”), Myk Conchada (BINI’s “I Feel Good” and “Salamin, Salamin”), and VVINK’s very own Angelika (BINI’s “Pantropiko”), the album reflects years of experience in shaping modern Filipino pop culture through songwriting, arrangement, artist development, and sonic experimentation.

Before the release of their official full-length album, VVINK had already built a reputation in P-Pop with their series of pre-debut releases focused on continuity, replay value, and emotional world-building. Composed of members Angelika, Ayaka, Jean, Mariel, and Odri, the acclaimed pop group represents a new generation of talent built on grit and genuine Filipino values.

VVINK’s It Starts With A Wink – The First Full Album is out now on all digital music platforms worldwide via FlipMusic.

MEI MEI Makes Powerful Industry Debut at Grand Media Launch, Teases Upcoming “HELLO PO” EP and “Telebong” MV Premiere on May 29

Nandito na ang MEI MEI girls!

Philippines’ newest girl group MEI MEI officially held their Grand Media Launch last May 27, 2026, at Skydome, SM North EDSA, marking the formal introduction of the eight-member act to the industry in front of an energetic crowd of media friends, partners, and special guests.

Presented by Groovy Garden Records, the newest record label under PULP Group, the event transformed the venue into a vibrant Filipino fiesta-inspired celebration complete with colorful banderitas, game booths, local street food stalls, and a special “MEI Bingo” activity that kept the crowd engaged throughout the night.

Hosted by Inah Evans and Milo Elmido Jr., the launch featured explosive performances, the live debut of the group’s first single “Telebong,” the exclusive world premiere of its music video, and intimate moments introducing the girls behind MEI MEI: Alexa, Jhamayka, Ada, Aerise, Thea, Jessie, Yuni, and Dina.

The evening opened with a welcome speech from Sir Vernon Go, Chairman and President of PULP Group, formally introducing both Groovy Garden Records and MEI MEI to the media. He shared the beginnings of the group’s journey and recalled the moment he first saw the girls during their early auditions.

“Each member manages to exude a unique character, showing diversity and how beauty can be so varied. The group strikes me as a cutesy-patoosy manifestation of Voltes V! Today, I am still stunned by the development and progress they have made,” he shared.

From there, the girls immediately took over the stage with a high-energy opening performance that showcased their charisma, chemistry, and commanding stage presence formally announcing the arrival of MEI MEI.

Following the performance, each member was introduced through a playful interview segment with the hosts, giving guests a closer look into their personalities and identities within the group.

MEI MEI also unveiled the members’ official personas: Alexa as the purple “Spark MEI MEI,” Jhamayka as the blue “Cool MEI MEI,” Ada as the yellow “Dolly MEI MEI,” Aerise as the lilac “Sweet MEI MEI,” Thea as the baby pink “Princess MEI MEI,” Jessie as the red “Power MEI MEI,” Yuni as the green “Groovy MEI MEI,” and Dina as the hot pink “Diva MEI MEI.”

These personas represent the individuality of each member while collectively embodying the spirit of MEI MEI — a group that celebrates authenticity, self-expression, and the many personalities of the modern Filipina.

The members also expressed their excitement for audiences to finally experience “Telebong” and its music video, sharing how meaningful the project became throughout their training and preparation for debut.

Later in the evening, the group delivered a heartfelt live performance of “Sinta,” an unreleased original ballad that showcased a different side of MEI MEI’s artistry and musical depth, giving the audience a glimpse of their versatility beyond their debut sound.

The night reached another high point as MEI MEI performed “Telebong” live for the very first time. Filled with infectious energy, catchy hooks, and playful charm, the performance captured the vibrant identity the group aims to bring into the Philippine pop culture scene.

Immediately after, guests witnessed the world premiere of the “Telebong” music video — the first full look at the visual concept behind the song, which has already been generating buzz online following the launch of its dance challenge on social media.

Beyond the infectious energy of the song and the undeniable charm of the members, the “Telebong” music video left guests and members of the media visibly impressed with its polished execution, vibrant concept, and high-level production quality. From its colorful visuals, one-take shot, and fast-paced editing to its playful storytelling and striking cinematography, the music video elevated MEI MEI’s debut into a full-scale pop spectacle.

Many attendees praised the video’s refreshing Filipino identity and internationally competitive feel, further amplifying anticipation ahead of its official public premiere on May 29 via MEI MEI’s official YouTube channel.

Following the premiere, emotions filled the room as the members reflected on their journey to debut.

“Sobrang nakaka-touch and nakakaproud po kasi pinagpaguran po namin ito. Ang tagal po namin naghintay, ‘yung mga pagod po namin worth it po,” shared MEI MEI Thea.

The evening also featured an exclusive media interview segment, where the girls candidly shared their story, aspirations, and identity as a group.

When asked about the meaning behind the name “MEI MEI,” MEI MEI Jhamayka explained that it was inspired by the uniquely Filipino tradition of repeating names and nicknames such as “Jan-Jan,” “Len-Len,” and “Mai-Mai” as expressions of familiarity and affection.

“Gusto namin instantly relatable and familiar sa mga Filipino. We hope that when you hear MEI MEI, it feels like home. It’s a tribute po kung saan po kami nanggaling and it describes us being so out there and confident,” she shared.

Alexa also opened up about the strong bond shared among the members, highlighting how their training journey helped them grow not only as performers but also as sisters living under one roof.

When asked about their goals as artists, leader Jessie shared:

“Our main goal is to share our music with the fans and to represent young Filipinas po. We want to use this platform to share our individual stories.”

The girls also revealed that many of them already had prior experience in the entertainment industry before debuting, with MEI MEI Thea humorously sharing that she once referred to herself as the “Princess Raketera ng Laguna.”

In a rapidly growing Philippine pop landscape filled with emerging acts, MEI MEI remains confident in what makes them stand out.

“We don’t stick to one image or personality. We all have different personalities, and that makes us MEI MEI — our individuality. We are encouraged to show our true selves. No pretension, just simply embracing who we are. Most importantly, we have a strong focus on storytelling through a Filipino lens.”

Rather than conforming to a single image, MEI MEI embraces the uniqueness of every member — a defining trait that allows audiences to genuinely connect with them.

The evening concluded with closing messages, photo opportunities, and a socialization segment with guests and members of the press. The girls also took the opportunity to thank their management, label, families, supporters, mentors, and everyone who became part of their journey toward their debut.

Before ending the night, MEI MEI left fans and media with an exciting promise: more music is coming soon, with new releases already lined up for July and August.

The group also revealed that “Telebong” serves as the official carrier single of their upcoming debut EP album titled “HELLO PO,” set for release soon under Groovy Garden Records. The project will feature several unreleased tracks that further introduce the colorful identity and musical range of MEI MEI, including fan-teased songs “Filipina” and “Sinta,” both previewed during the launch event.

While “Telebong” highlights the group’s playful, groovy, and novelty-pop energy, the upcoming EP promises a wider musical experience that explores different sounds, emotions, and stories from the perspective of young Filipinas. With more tracks still waiting to be revealed, MEI MEI teased that “HELLO PO” is only the beginning of the many stories they are excited to share through their music.

While “Telebong” serves as the explosive beginning of their journey, the group made it clear that this is only the start of what they hope will become a long and meaningful career in music.

When asked where their dream destination to perform is, MEI MEI Ada simply said, “In every street of the Philippines. We want the entire Philippines to be able to enjoy our music with us.”

When asked for their message to the youth, the girls shared one final statement:

“Huwag kayo matakot magpakatotoo. Be one of us. Be MEI MEI.”

MEI MEI’s story has officially begun.

  • DADDY A RETURNS TO ARTIST DEVELOPMENT — SIGNS 4 NEW GAME-CHANGING ACTS UNDER IMAJIN & IVOS PRODUCTIONS

DADDY A RETURNS TO ARTIST DEVELOPMENT — SIGNS 4 NEW GAME-CHANGING ACTS UNDER IMAJIN & IVOS PRODUCTIONS

The legendary hitmaker, visionary manager, and music architect behind some of OPM’s most influential acts is once again shaping the future of Philippine music.

For those unfamiliar with the legacy of Allan Mitchell “Daddy A” Silonga, his story is deeply woven into the evolution of modern Filipino R&B, soul, and alternative music culture.

Long before R&B became mainstream in the Philippines, Daddy A was already building the movement.

Back in the ‘90s, he founded the band KINDRED GARDEN, the group behind the monster hit “PANGAKO,” a song that became one of the defining anthems of its era. During a time when rock bands and disco dominated the local scene, Daddy A boldly introduced a new sound by forming K24/7 — one of the country’s earliest true R&B groups. Their music became a cult favorite among underground music lovers, students from international schools, and the Pinoy-American community returning to the Philippines.

Outside music, Daddy A built a strong reputation in advertising and marketing, working as a Creative Director for various ad agencies — a background that sharpened his eye for branding, artist imaging, and cultural trends.

In 2012, he formed the R&B quartet DADDYS HOME and entered X Factor Philippines, eventually battling their way to the Grand Finals and becoming one of the most memorable vocal groups of the competition.

But perhaps his most iconic contribution to OPM came in 2014.

While touring with Daddy’s Home, Daddy A discovered the exceptional guitar talent of his son, BLASTER SILONGA. Determined to build a band around him, he searched relentlessly for the perfect members.

Through deep connections within the music scene, he eventually found Zild, then Badjao, and finally through his friend Randy Salonga, discovered Unique.

On May 2014, IV OF SPADES was born.
From small gigs to relentless grinding, Daddy A guided, managed, supported, and helped push the band into the spotlight until they achieved the breakthrough that would later make them one of the most influential bands of their generation.

Fast forward to today — IV OF SPADES recently celebrated their 12th year in the industry.

Over the years, Daddy A has evolved into one of the music scene’s most respected veterans, carrying extensive knowledge in artist development, live performances, recording production, branding, marketing, and the concert business. He also served as the head of DEF JAM Philippines during the early days of the pandemic.

    And now…
    A new era begins.

Through IMAJIN and IVOS PRODUCTIONS, Daddy A officially signs four promising new artists poised to bring fresh energy and color into the Philippine music industry.

    LEVII
A soulful R&B-pop artist and multi-instrumentalist signed under KDR House Music.

LEVII is the definition of raw musical excellence — a gifted songwriter, keyboard player, and vocalist with undeniable soul and emotion in every performance. Daddy A has mentored and guided LEVII since his high school days, witnessing firsthand the growth of a future star in the making.

    DWARF
A uniquely gifted singer-songwriter with a distinct musical identity.

Daddy A first discovered DWARF during one of the events at his bar, IMAJIN: Arts & Music, specifically during “Songwriters Night.” His unusual vocal style, emotional delivery, and strong songwriting immediately caught Daddy A’s attention. Since then, the two kept in touch — and now DWARF officially joins the family under KDR House Music.

    JAE LAURENT
A rising R&B artist from Davao with unmatched determination.

Back in 2021, Jae first reached out to Daddy A, sending demos in hopes of being noticed. Instead of rushing the process, Daddy A challenged him to discover his true sound, embrace his identity, and sharpen his artistry.
Years later, Jae returned — transformed.

This time, he proved he was ready.
Now officially signed under DIORAMA, JAE LAURENT is preparing to release new music while working closely with Daddy A on developing his sound, artistry, and future career.

Without certainty of what awaited him, Jae courageously traveled to Manila to chase his dream — and now his journey officially begins.

    ZIPPORAH (ZPRH)
A future superstar in the making.

The daughter of Daddy A’s close friend JEHU (G-WHO) of the legendary beatbox group MICROPHONE MECHANICS, ZPRH inherited not only her father’s musicality and beatboxing skills, but also his charisma and stage presence.
As years passed, she evolved into a complete artist — a singer, songwriter, performer, and producer capable of crafting her own sound.
Daddy A immediately saw her potential.
Now under his mentorship, ZPRH is currently developing a new image, sound, and branding direction while preparing for what could soon become a major record deal and national breakthrough.

With LEVII, DWARF, JAE LAURENT, and ZPRH officially joining the roster, Daddy A once again proves that his vision for discovering and developing artists remains unmatched.

    And according to him…
    “This is only the beginning.”
More artists are expected to be announced soon under the growing movement of IMAJIN and IVOS PRODUCTIONS — a new generation guided by experience, culture, artistry, and authenticity.

The veteran architect of OPM evolution is back.
    And he’s building another wave.

  • Janine Isn’t “Iisa” When She Says “gusto ko lang huminga” in New Double Single Release

Janine Isn’t “Iisa” When She Says “gusto ko lang huminga” in New Double Single Release

In the landscape of modern OPM, few voices possess the surgical precision of Janine. She doesn’t just sing about love; she maps its nervous system, documenting the quiet tremors of the heart with a clarity that feels almost intrusive. After the breakout success of her Apat Na Buwan EP, a project that defined a season of longing for many, and the haunting resonance of her single “Pikit Mata,” Janine has transitioned from a storyteller of “what if” to a chronicler of “what is.”

While her previous work lived in the spaces of waiting and the shadows of uncertainty, her latest double-single release, “Hinga” and “Iisa,” marks a definitive evolution. This isn’t just a turnaround; it’s a maturation of the narrative she’s been building since she first stepped into the light.

If Apat Na Buwan was about the endurance of time, “Iisa” is about the arrival of clarity. It serves as the cornerstone of this release, capturing that rare, breathless moment when the search ends and the choosing begins.

Janine pivots from the fear of solitude to the safety of domesticity. The track is an anthem for the “home” we find in another person. When she sings, “’Di na mag-iisa,” it isn’t just a lyric; it’s a resolution. It represents a shift in Janine’s sonic identity, moving away from the tentative steps of a new artist into the grounded confidence of a woman who knows exactly who she is holding onto.

But Janine has never been one to offer a sanitized version of romance. To pair “Iisa” with “Hinga” is a stroke of narrative genius. Where “Iisa” is the peak of the mountain, “Hinga” is the air required to stay there. It is a track that explores the terrifyingly honest side of long-term devotion: the need for space. In a world that demands constant presence, Janine advocates for the pause. The plea, “Huwag ka sanang maghanap ng iba ’pag kailangan ko lang na huminga,” is perhaps her most vulnerable line to date. It strips away the “happily ever after” trope and replaces it with a realistic, human boundary. It is a song for those who love deeply but need to find their own center to keep that love alive.

As Janine navigates a love so tender and the process of enduring it, these both singles will leave a reminder that love is not just a promise made in the dark, but a steady, rhythmic effort to remain human while being a part of “we.”

  • HYBE x Geffen Unveils New Global Girl Group SAINT SATINE Through WORLD SCOUT: THE FINAL PIECE

HYBE x Geffen Unveils New Global Girl Group SAINT SATINE Through WORLD SCOUT: THE FINAL PIECE

The next global girl group from HYBE and Geffen Records has officially been revealed. During the finale broadcast of WORLD SCOUT: THE FINAL PIECE on Japan’s streaming platform ABEMA, the four-member group was introduced under the name SAINT SATINE.

The newly formed group consists of Emily (20, USA), Lexie (21, Sweden), Samara (20, Brazil), and the newest addition, Sakura (16, Japan). Emily, Lexie, and Samara first gained international attention through the Netflix docuseries Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE, where they quickly built a dedicated global fanbase.

The group’s final member was selected through WORLD SCOUT: THE FINAL PIECE, a large-scale audition project produced in partnership with ABEMA. Sakura emerged victorious among more than 14,000 applicants, officially completing SAINT SATINE’s lineup during the series finale that aired earlier today.

Alongside the finale, HYBE x Geffen Records also released the digital single album World Scout: The Final Piece – Finale. The two-track release captures the climactic performances from the competition’s final round, spotlighting finalists Sakura and runner-up Ayana as they performed alongside Emily, Lexie, and Samara.

Leading the release is “PARTY b4 the PARTY,” performed by Sakura with the rest of SAINT SATINE. The high-energy urban pop track combines playful percussion, heavy bass transitions, and dynamic harmonies, delivering an anthem centered on the excitement leading up to a night out. The second track, “WE RIDE,” features runner-up Ayana alongside the group members in a nostalgic yet modern R&B-inspired sound built around smooth harmonies and sleek production.

A performance video for “PARTY b4 the PARTY” was also unveiled following the finale broadcast, giving fans a first official look at SAINT SATINE as a complete group.

According to HYBE x Geffen, the name “SAINT SATINE” reflects the group’s duality and artistic identity. “SAINT” symbolizes exceptional musicality and charisma, while “SATINE” represents elegance, softness, and sophistication. The group is described as existing “at the intersection of desire and transcendence,” balancing refinement and boldness in both music and image.

WORLD SCOUT: THE FINAL PIECE continues the successful collaboration between HYBE America and Geffen Records, following the global success of KATSEYE. The partnership launched a worldwide audition campaign in 2021 to create a multicultural pop group that could transcend cultural and artistic boundaries. More than 120,000 applicants auditioned for the original project, which later became the foundation for Dream Academy and the Netflix series Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE.

Since debuting, KATSEYE has earned two GRAMMY nominations and three American Music Awards nominations. Their second EP, BEAUTIFUL CHAOS, debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, while their third EP, WILD, is scheduled for release on August 14.

With its final lineup now complete, SAINT SATINE is set to begin its journey as HYBE x Geffen’s newest global pop act, carrying the momentum of one of the industry’s most ambitious international talent projects.

  • Clara Benin leans into love’s softer moments in 6-track EP, really got me thinking

Clara Benin leans into love’s softer moments in 6-track EP, really got me thinking

Her new EP captures the beauty of stillness and emotional duality.

Filipino singer-songwriter Clara Benin explores the “inner weather of love” in really got me thinking—her latest EP under Sony Music Entertainment.

Pivoting towards delicate soundscapes and lush arrangements, the 6-track release embraces a quieter form of introspection: the sonic treatment, pared down and intimate, leaning towards newfound openness in both sound and storytelling.

“I’ve learned to sit with simplicity and to trust that not every space needs to be filled, that silence and restraint can carry just as much meaning as sound,” Benin explains. “Because of that, I allowed the words and melodies to breathe more, and I think it creates a more intimate listening experience, like you’re just sitting in the moment with me.”

Benin adds that it’s her first time writing a record entirely dedicated to love from a more optimistic perspective. “Having an EP that’s entirely made up of love songs is something new for me. It feels like a different kind of openness and a big part of my growth as a songwriter.”

According to the Parallel Universe act, the EP draws from the duality of rainy days—both simultaneously heavy and comforting—offering solace and refuge amidst the chaos. Produced by Clara Benin and The Ringmaster, the imagery informs the sonic and lyrical foundations of the record, resulting in a heartwarming collection of tunes that doubles as bedroom confessions.

In terms of songwriting, really got me thinking unravels distinctly as an honest reflection of personal growth and creative ingenuity. Her emotional honesty is matched by intricate sound design, one whose deliberate restraint invites listeners into a shared space of stillness, where words and melodies are given room to breathe.

“I tried to let the songs hold both feelings at once, the same way they exist in real life,” Clara admits. “Some moments feel warm and grounded, while others carry a bit more tension or movement. I didn’t feel the need to resolve that contrast and just to let it exist, honestly, because love rarely feels like just one thing.”

The focus track, “wings” encapsulates the recurring theme of the EP, where love is considered both grounding and liberating. Through dynamic shifts in arrangement and vocal delivery, the song evokes the feelings of being simultaneously held and set free: a study in contrast, but one that coexists in peace. “It’s about finding someone who makes you feel safe enough to dream bigger, someone who reminds you of who you can become. So wings became a metaphor for that—for becoming, for growth, and for finally allowing yourself to fly.”

Accompanying the release is an upcoming live show that aims to translate the introspective essence of the EP into an immersive experience. Designed to reflect the record’s emotional landscape, the performance will feature warm, dreamlike visuals and a carefully curated setlist centered on the EP’s six tracks, interwoven with select earlier works.

Clara adds, “We’re expanding them just enough to fill the room without losing their intimacy. My live performances are usually more backing track-heavy, but for this show, we’re stripping things down and leaning into more live instrumentation—adding piano, bass, and live backing vocals to keep everything feeling organic. It still feels very personal, just with a bit more warmth and presence.”

SB19 expands global reach with BE:FIRST collaboration “TOYFRIEND”

The powerhouse team-up made a significant breakthrough in Japan, landing a No. 2 peak on the Oricon Digital Chart and iTunes All Genre Chart.

Global P-Pop powerhouse SB19 continues its global ascent with “TOYFRIEND,” a cross-border collaboration with top-selling Japanese group, BE:FIRST. The clubby R&B track serves as the latest single from their sophomore studio album, Wakas At Simula—released under Sony Music Entertainment.

Prior to the promotional push, “TOYFRIEND” has already made a significant dent across Japan’s leading digital platforms, debuting at No. 1 on MORA’s All Genre, International, and Hi-Res International charts, while peaking at No. 2 on the iTunes All Genre chart and No. 1 on its Pop chart, and No. 2 on Line Music Japan’s World Music Top 100 chart. The upbeat bop has reached the summit of the RecoChoku’s Hi-Res Single and Single charts, and reached No. 2 on the Oricon Digital Chart—a proof of the Filipino boy group’s strong surge of support from Japanese fans. Other chart placements in Japan include a No. 3 peak at Spotify Daily Viral chart, No. 6 debut on Billboard JapanTop Download Songs chart and No. 4 placement on Genius Japan Overall Song Chart.

Inviting listeners to the floor with its inescapable rhythm and polished production, “TOYFRIEND” pulls the best of both worlds from both Asian pop powerhouses. But above all that brimming energy is a narrative that explores the messiness of a situationship. It’s perfect for the summer: an infectious dance anthem that goes well with angst and frustration.

SB19’s JOSH explains, “[TOYFRIEND] captures the uncertainty of having feelings for someone while feeling completely confused if those feelings will be reciprocated in the first place. In this puzzling situation, one person can end up being treated as a toyfriend: caught between friendship and something more. The track reflects the ambiguity that comes with blurred intentions.”

For PABLO, “Toyfriend” became an instant favorite within the first few seconds of hearing it, with SB19 expressing confidence that it was the right song to pursue for the collaboration. “The sound carried a distinct energy that stood out from the start, making it an instant fit for the concept we were aiming for. Artistically, the track leans into a more edgy, slightly spicy, and sexy tone.”

The track was initially conceived as a completely new song for both SB19 and BE:FIRST, which became a key factor in shaping the overall concept of the collaboration. According to PABLO, approaching the project from a blank slate allowed both groups to align on a shared direction and explore a sound that reflects their combined artistry.

“This collaborative process enabled both groups to contribute meaningfully while ensuring the final output feels cohesive and authentic,” PABLO shares in a press statement. “Ultimately, the intent was to deliver a fresh and distinctive record that highlights the strengths and synergy of both SB19 and BE:FIRST.”

SB19’s JUSTIN adds, “When the opportunity to collaborate with BE:FIRST came up, we identified it as a track that best suited both BE:FIRST and SB19 in terms of style and direction. SB19 recorded the song at our studio, 1Z, while BE:FIRST recorded their parts in Japan. We ensured that members of our team were present during BE:FIRST’s recording sessions to provide guidance and maintain cohesion in terms of vocal direction and overall sound.”

SB19’s KEN pointed out that the collaboration began when he represented the country as Felip for prominent music showcase in Japan last year at the K-Arena Yokohama in Kanagawa, Japan. “The collaboration began when I previously performed for DUNK. It was the fans who truly made it happen by engaging with one another, which the BMSG team recognized as a valuable opportunity to collaborate with 1Z Entertainment. This led to the collaboration between BE:FIRST and SB19.”

Despite geographical challenges, the collaborative process moved with striking ease—thanks to their commitment to achieving a strong and unified output. SB19’s STELL pointed out how every contribution and creative element clicked into place. “Rather than seeing the distance as a limitation, it became an opportunity to embrace a global collaboration setup. Overall, the experience was very smooth and collaborative.” With the release of “TOYFRIEND,” SB19 and BE:FIRST delivers another genre-forward release that champions the growing influence of Asian pop on the global stage.

SB19’s “TOYFRIEND” (with BE:FIRST) is out now on all digital music platforms worldwide via Sony Music Entertainment.

SB19 will be headlining the Wakas at Simula Concert—their biggest concert yet—happening on April 18, 2026, at the SMDC Festival Grounds. It will serve as the finale to their Simula at Wakas tour, which supported the release of their three-part EP (PagsibolPagtatag, and Simula at Wakas). Japanese boy group BE:FIRST was recently announced as part of the lineup.

  • It’s out: SB19 releases sophomore album, Wakas at Simula

It’s out: SB19 releases sophomore album, Wakas at Simula

Watch the music video of Emoji,” featuring Queen of C-Pop, JOLIN.

P-Pop trailblazers SB19 has officially dropped Wakas at Simula—a 24-track release that serves as a closure of their formative era in music and the beginning of a new imperial phase. Their second full-length album chronicles their path to self-discovery, identity building, and the cultivation of public trust, all fortified through years of experience and learning.

“At the same time, this marks a new beginning,” SB19 adds. “We hope to express ourselves more openly, explore deeper and more relatable themes, and move forward with clarity, care, and creative freedom, ready to face new challenges together.”

Wakas at Simula stands as a cohesive anthology, weaving together key selections from the group’s trilogy of acclaimed EPs (PagsibolPagtatag, and Simula at Wakas), alongside six new tracks that showcase a reinvigorated approach in production and songwriting. The result is a future-forward pop record that embraces genre fluidity and maximalism, made more compelling by SB19’s unmistakable energy and charisma.

Pablo, SB19’s leader and chief producer, emphasizes the intention behind the album’s sonic direction, putting into consideration the history behind these songs. “We did not want to simply remake them; we aimed to reintroduce them with greater depth. We explored more mature arrangements, stronger dynamics, and a careful balance of raw emotion and refinement. Sonically, I focused on warmth, atmosphere, and storytelling, ensuring that every choice reflected who we are today. This approach allowed the music to honor its origins while also showcasing our growth as artists.”

SB19’s sophomore album also features international collaborations with some of the pop greats this side of the hemisphere. Queen of C-Pop JOLIN is prominently featured in “Emoji,” a euphoric club anthem with a little bit of Brazilian funk thrown in the mix.

SB19’s Ken, who co-produced the track with PLAYERTWO’s Luke April, offered an insight into its creation. “I thought this was a fresh and exciting sound for us, so I created a Brazilian phonk inspired track with the help of my friend Luke. Pablo, JOLIN, and I wrote the lyrics together. The song explores social media and how people often mask their true emotions behind emojis. It reflects on the contrast between online personas and genuine feelings, highlighting the subtle ways technology shapes human expression.”

The release of “Emoji’ will be accompanied by a music video set in what looks like two versions of an underground dungeon. SB19’s Justin explains, “The direction for the music video was to keep it simple and accessible while maintaining high quality and showcasing an impressive performance. Our creative director carefully ensured that the set designs and overall concept subtly reinforced the song’s message. The video features two distinct layouts: one glamorous and polished, the other messy and chaotic, representing the contrast between the idealized image people present online and the reality they often hide behind emojis.”

Another highlight of the album is a collaboration with Japanese pop group BE:FIRST, who joined SB19 on the floor-thumping jam “Toyfriend.” Other new songs in the album include the catchy R&B tune “Memories,” the sonically daring but refreshing “Everblack,” and the emotional ballad “Wakas,” which showcases SB19’s extraordinary vocal abilities and heartfelt delivery.

The award-winning P-Pop boyband also reworked the songs from their 2021 EP, Pagsibol, incorporating new arrangements with layers of nuance and artistic growth. With more experience and perspective, SB19 admits that the new versions offer a more refined direction, with emotions naturally running deeper and the lyrics carrying greater meaning.

“For us, it was about respect and progression,” Pablo explains. “We wanted the songs people already love to retain their emotional core, while the newer tracks pushed the album forward. Nostalgia gave the project its roots, and the new songs gave it momentum. The goal was to make the album feel familiar while still showing growth and evolution.”

Ahead of the release, SB19 revealed the official track list for Wakas at Simula during a press conference on March 23, 2026, which was simultaneously streamed live on Weverse. The video has amassed more than 300,000 views and 30 million likes within 24 hours, cementing their popularity on the global fandom platform.

The P-Pop powerhouse is also scheduled to perform in two of most prominent music festivals in the world: Lollapalooza in Grant Park, Chicago, Illinois, which will run from July 30 to August 2, 2026, and the recently announced Summer Sonic in Tokyo, Japan, happening on Saturday, August 15, 2026.

  • SB19 bridges eras with the release of their upcoming new album, Wakas at Simula

SB19 bridges eras with the release of their upcoming new album, Wakas at Simula

The P-Pop trailblazers have officially announced the track list for their sophomore album, including collaborations with Queen of C-Pop JOLIN and Japanese boy band BE:FIRST.

Trailblazing Filipino group SB19 announces the release of the highly anticipated full-length album, Wakas at Simula—a turning point record that encapsulates the closure of one creative era and the launch of its new chapter. Following the global success of their Simula at Wakas World Tour and the announcement of their stint at the upcoming Lollapalooza Festival this year, the sophomore album positions SB19 at the vanguard of P-Pop’s continued rise on the international stage.

    SB19

Wakas at Simula closes the chapter of proving ourselves,” SB19 explains in a press statement. “In the beginning, we were focused on finding our place, building our identity, and earning people’s trust. This album honors that journey while also guiding us into a more grounded and intentional version of SB19.”

SB19 shares that with this album, they’re learning to take bolder steps without overthinking every move. “Our years of experience have given us the confidence to create and share what feels true to us, even if we are still growing. At the same time, this marks a new beginning. We hope to express ourselves more openly, explore deeper and more relatable themes, and move forward with clarity, care, and creative freedom, ready to face new challenges together.”

Conceptually anchored in duality and transformation, Wakas at Simula unifies the group’s trilogy of acclaimed EPs (Pagsibol, Pagtatag, and Simula at Wakas) while introducing six new tracks that push the boundaries of pop music with newfound confidence and sonic adventurism. Notably, the album features collaborations with Queen of C-Pop JOLIN (a Household name in the Mandarin-speaking world) on “Emoji” and Japanese group BE:FIRST on the dance-pop track “Toyfriend,” showcasing a deliberate expansion for cross-cultural appeal.

SB19’s Stell considers the collaboration with international artists a valuable learning experience for both the acclaimed P-Pop quintet and 1Z, giving them insights into how established labels outside the country operate in scale and strategy. “Since SB19 built its own system from the ground up, one that is pro-artist and pro-team, these collaborations helped us see how we can refine and evolve that approach. The impact goes beyond music, as it opens opportunities for 1Z to grow and adapt to global practices. At the end of the day, it highlights how a young team can build meaningful connections and continue learning while expanding on a global stage.”

Other new songs in the album traverse a wide sonic spectrum: from the understated elegance of R&B track “Memories” to the experimental, industrial textures of “Everblack,” the P-Pop royalty’s combined influences take the record to exciting new places in terms of production and songwriting.

Complementing the new tracks are reworked versions from the P-Pop powerhouse’s 2021 EP, Pagsibol. The re-recorded songs embody SB19’s artistic and emotional growth, where the delivery has become more intentional and personal, shaped by their lived experiences.

“When we first recorded them, we were coming from a place of hunger and hope, performing based on how we initially understood and absorbed the lyrics,” SB19 admits. Now, with more experience and perspective, the emotions naturally run deeper, and the lyrics carry greater meaning. It was not about changing the songs completely but allowing them to grow with us.”

The release of their sophomore album will culminate in a major live event, the Wakas at Simula Concert, happening on April 18, 2026, at the SMDC Festival Grounds. It will serve as the finale to their Simula at Wakas tour, which supported the release of their three-part EP (Pagsibol, Pagtatag, and Simula at Wakas). While the group will not be holding a world tour this time around, they will be playing shows across North America, Europe, and the Middle East in the latter half of the year, including major international festivals such as Lollapalooza in Chicago, USA, and more to be announced!

Thai artist pami evaluates the cost of heartbreak in a relationship with new single ‘cry jar’

After continuously bringing vibrant energy to the music industry, the highly talented artist pami from Juicey is back with her latest sassy single, cry jar, her first release since her highly acclaimed debut album puffette, and fresh out of her “Best Hidden Gem of the Year” award win at the prestigious TOTY Music Awards in Thailand yesterday.

This pop track features a light, easy-listening vibe contrasted with biting lyrics that challenge everyone to evaluate the cost of heartbreak in their relationships. ‘cry jar’ represents the transformation of pain into something measurable through the concept of an “emotional compensation” jar.

“If you don’t want to try in love, then fine! Pay the price. Every time you make me cry, those tears go into the jar as proof that the pain isn’t disappearing—it’s piling up,” said pami about the single.

[LISTEN TO PAMI’S ‘CRY JAR’ HERE]

‘cry jar’ was written by pami during a song camp in Sydney, Australia, an environment that sparked new inspirations for her. The track is designed with a playful, bright, and almost sweet sound to contrast its straightforward and sarcastic lyrics.

pami adds: “I didn’t want this song to feel heavy or dramatic. I wanted it to be a dark joke that reflects the truth: if someone keeps hurting you without care, that damage comes with a price.”

pami is a Thai singer-songwriter who debuted in 2024, quickly catching the attention of fans worldwide with her pop sensibilities and warm vocals in her debut EP out of nowhere. This was quickly followed by her debut album puffette in 2025, which introduced pami to a wider audience that has followed her growth since.

Over the past year, pami has stood out as one of the brightest young and rising acts in Asia, playing in festivals across multiple countries such as LaLaLa Festival in Indonesia, BiKN Shibuya in Japan, Zandari Festa in South Korea and Bangkok Music City in Thailand.
