Jack Johnson is the first headliner of Wanderland 2024
Wave 1 is starting off with a banger as American singer-songwriter Jack Johnson makes his Philippine debut at Wanderland Music & Arts Festival. Aside from creating poetic music and folk pop anthems, Jack is also an environmental rights activist who spearheads sustainability campaigns on ocean health–a true inspiration for the festival’s journey towards sustainability.
With his classic songs Better Together, Banana Pancakes, and Sunsets For Somebody Else, it is a must to experience live the warmth and heartfelt tunes of Jack Johnson.
Bringing home to the Wanderland stage

Aussie-born, Berlin-based band Parcels will be bringing your living room party and patio dinner playlists to life with their signature live dance music experience. Novo Amor (Ali Meredith-Lacey), a Welsh multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter, will make his much-awaited visit to perform music reminiscent of our safe space at home. One thing about Wanderland is that it will never be short of homegrown acts. Showcasing the best of the country’s indie music scene is just the festival’s thing.
Starting off with Paolo Sandejas, the country’s freshest neo-soul act with addictive melodies laced with indie-pop and alt-rock vibes. Eccentric to the eyes and good on the ears is Ena Mori, who artistically bridges Filipino and Japanese genres in her music. Bicol’s best kept secret, dwta, will be enchanting the crowd with songs purely and beautifully sung in Bicolano. Along with them is the band bird., who explores songs that narrate the melancholic life of a typical Filipino teenager, almost akin to US midwestern emo. And finally, accidental supergroup Party Pace, with a hodge-podge of members from various household names in the local scene (IVOS, Sandwich, Chicosci), completes the Wave 1 lineup.

Rounding out the hip hop artists on the lineup is R&B singer and rapper JRLDM. A multi-awarded and internationally recognized performer, he is best known for his emotional and heartfelt flows that resonate with audiences. He, alongside labelmate Arkho of Midnasty, joined the inaugural edition of The Regionals: Philippines, the Philippine leg of the first ever Pan-Asia rap cypher series.
Rising pop band Dilaw will also be performing during the event. After a three-year long wait, Wanderland Music & Arts Festival is officially back on track after announcing their first wave of artists for their highly-anticipated return set on March 4 & 5, 2023.
The Wave 1 lineup consists of 11 acts that span across the globe with different styles, flairs, and influences, so there’s plenty to be excited about.

Phoenix makes pivotal return
Right off the bat–Phoenix, a pop-alternative band from France, was announced to headline next year’s season.
Phoenix has been well-loved by Filipino fans, many who have been following them since the early 2000s. The opportunity to catch the band’s electrifying sounds and infectious melodies live is a champion move and is something one simply cannot pass up–again.
Wanderland 2023 will mark Phoenix’s third visit to the country and we can only imagine what a spectacle it will be.
Soulful, swoon-worthy superstars
Fall into a dream-like state with soft, lush, and sentimental tunes from Men I Trust (CA) and Stephen Day (US). With carefully-curated melodies and thoughtfully-written lyrics, both artists lead the pack for music that’s perfect for embracing and romanticizing life.
If there’s something that could get you feeling like you’re on cloud nine, you’ve found your go-to’s.
Applaud to Asian acts
Wanderland also sets the stage for discovery and celebration of Asian music. Hailing from Taiwan are alternative-indie pop rock band, Sunset Rollercoaster, and singer-rapper, Leo Wang and making waves from South Korea are alternative K-Pop band, Balming Tiger and K-HipHop artist, George. They are all set to make their debut in the Philippines next year and we’re pumped to experience the diversity and exciting talent from our friends in the region.
It’s about time we make more noise for Asian music!
Locals with versatile sounds and vocals
No Rome, a homegrown artist now based in London, is known for his collaborations with The 1975, Charli XCX, and dijon, but don’t be fooled—his solo music gets you even more hooked through his mix of shoegaze, R&B, and electronic dream-pop guaranteed to fall into your last song syndrome list.
Blaster, whorecently pursued a solo career from the band, IV of Spades, made headlines when he debuted DISKO FOREVER (Japanese Version)—yes, the song is completely sung in Japanese! If this is any indication of what an experimental journey his music holds, then we’re all ears (and dance shoes ready) for what he has prepared for his festival performance.
August Wahh has been establishing her name in the music scene not only locally, but internationally, having been invited to the ASEAN Music Showcase Festival and opening for artists like Daniel Caesar and RAC. If you’re looking to get into the vibe of neo-soul music, August Wahh is your girl.
The Sundown, based in Cebu and champions of Wanderbattle 2020, is finally making their way to Manila to bring their nostalgic anthems and tasteful Cebuano sounds on the Wanderland stage. As their name suggests, should we have them play the sunset slot?
It’s already a packed roster but it’s just the beginning of the greatest comeback of team Wanderland.

Announced by 88rising and Live MNL last August, the Head In The Clouds Music & Arts Festival is presented by Globe with GCash as major sponsor and will take place on Friday, December 9 and Saturday, December 10, 2022 at SM Festival Grounds Parañaque City.
The festival will feature a stellar lineup of world class headliners including Joji, Jackson Wang, NIKI, Rich Brian, eaJ, and YOASOBI. The festival will also include live performances from BIBI, MANILA GREY, Warren Hue, Ylona Garcia, GUAPDAD 4000, ATARASHII GAKKO!, MILLI, Zack Tabudlo and many more. Special guest is Grammy-winning hitmaker and electronic producer ZEDD.
For a two-day general admission pass of P12,888, fans will gain access to these artists (over 20 scheduled performers) who will take to the stage and play for 45 to 55 minutes each. That roughly translates to about 18 hours of premium experience over the course of two days.
Those who opt to buy the VIP pass at P15,888 willl get plenty of value for money to watch and enjoy every performance: early entry via their dedicated VIP entry lanes to access the main stage and second stage, designated VIP restrooms, additional shade and seating areas, access to exclusive food & beverage vendors and select festival merchandise for purchase.
And because Head In The Clouds is much more than a music festival, fans will also be treated to specially-curated food as well as immersive and Instagram-worthy installations that should keep them engaged in between performances.

Since its widely-acclaimed debut in the US back in 2018, 88rising’s Head In The Clouds festival has emerged as one of the most anticipated annual events for fans of both music and the arts. The festival is unique in the sense that it specifically specializes on Asian music and culture from all around the around. No surprise it was eventually hailed as the “Asian Coachella.”
Every staging of Head In The Clouds, has in fact, received unanimous praise. In 2018, the very first HITC festival was hailed by The Bull’s Eye as “an unforgettable experience…one of the best musical events” of the year. Reviewing in 2019, the Los Angeles Times High School Insider noted that “the festival, which isn’t just about music, more garnered 25,000 people — more than double the amount” of the previous year.
In 2021, a year after the Covid-19 pandemic broke out, Uproxx hailed Head In The Clouds as “Los Angeles’ next great music festival while just recently, Concert Updater said the festival, “simply lived up to the hype.” “Everything from the music, the food, the crowd, and the overall experience was absolute perfection,” the site further posted in its review of the festival that took place at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California last August. Filipino fans will now get the chance to experience what everyone else in the US was raving about. This year, Head In The Clouds is expanding its horizons and taking all its euphoria to Southeast Asia with two separate dates in Jakarta and Manila happening this December.

Last month, Head In The Clouds hosted 70,000 people over two days at Brookside at the Rose Bowl in its fourth year in Los Angeles, California. 88rising earlier announced Head In The Clouds Music & Arts Festival will travel to Indonesia later this year, marking the debut of the festival in both Indonesia and the Philippines.
