Aside from their success as a group, the members of Girls’ Generation have also established themselves as solo artists with Hyoyeon showcasing another side of herself as DJ Hyo. With her catchy set which includes her solo songs and her group’s tracks, she brings out the crowd’s energy and gives them a fun trip down memory lane.

Yet another special show is coming your way from PULP Live World and Skesh Entertainment as JIMMY EAT WORLD are finally making their way to the Philippines, ending the wait that Filipino fans of the band have long endured. JIMMY EAT WORLD LIVE IN MANILA — SURVIVING: THE ASIA TOUR 2020 is happening on March 12, 2020 at the New Frontier Theater, marking the iconic emo/alternative rockers’ very first show in the country.
Ten albums into their continuing journey as a band, Jimmy Eat World have proven themselves to be a band that’s timeless. Surviving, their 10th and latest album, came out in 2019—that’s over 25 years since Jimmy Eat World became a band. Yet right now, it hasn’t felt like they would simply ride on waves of nostalgia; instead, one might say that every album they’ve put out since Bleed American has been representative of a certain point in time or era in the band’s journey, as well as in the life of a fan that has hurtled through adulthood and gone through the motions both on a personal level and in terms of seeing what happens in the world around us. Jimmy Eat World are the same band with the same energy, but with an evolving approach to songwriting and perhaps a progressing take on life as a whole. Succinct and strong, Surviving is all the proof we need that, about two and a half decades on, Jimmy Eat World are here to stay.
JIMMY EAT WORLD LIVE IN MANILA — SURVIVING: THE ASIA TOUR 2020, happening on March 12, 2020 at the New Frontier Theater, is presented by PULP Live World and Skesh Entertainment. Heading to Manila for the very first time is London-based multi-instrumentalist YUNGBLUD, who has set out to include the Philippines in his upcoming Asian tour. Presented by PULP Live World and Skesh Entertainment, YUNGBLUD LIVE IN MANILA: TWISTED TALES OF THE RITALIN CLUB TOUR happens on March 20, 2020 at the SM City North EDSA Skydome.
The young trailblazer, otherwise known as Dominic Harrison, is one of his generation’s most promising and highly anticipated artists. Exploding into the scene in 2018 with his scathing debut album 21st Century Liability, the 22-year-old English singer/songwriter/musician has effortlessly established himself both within and across the pond. With a volatile, rebel-minded, hiphop-infused rock-and-roll style that a steadily growing fanbase deeply resonates with, YUNGBLUD has spawned an unstoppable movement—one spurred by genuine solidarity that has served as a touchstone for his new EP, the underrated youth.
“My fans are constantly telling me about the incredible things they’ve gone through, like coming out to their parents or transitioning to another gender. With every day, every gig, every DM, it’s become less and less about me and more about this whole collective of people coming together to fight for what we believe in,” says YUNGBLUD as he opens up about his fanbase, adding that the new EP is about the different people he’s met and the stories he’s heard over the past couple of years.
“In a world that’s consumed with unjustified hate and just expects us to fall in line, they’ve proven to me that my generation has the passion and intelligence to push for real unity and equality. I feel so hopeful now because of the people I get to meet and talk to every day,” reflects YUNGBLUD who, despite everything going on in the world, faces the road ahead with optimism. “I know that the future’s bright, because we’re the ones creating it.”
Not one to shy away from sticking a middle finger up to senseless oppression, the tongue-in-cheek, genre-bending icon has been encouraging people to be themselves distinctively—to be proud of themselves unapologetically. With commanding live energy and caustic social commentary, YUNGBLUD has proven himself to be quite the performer, breaking any barriers existing between him and his audience. And now he’s setting out to bring us into a movement bound by unity and inspired by hope.
YUNGBLUD LIVE IN MANILA: TWISTED TALES OF THE RITALIN CLUB TOUR, happening on March 20, 2020 at the SM City North EDSA Skydome, is presented by PULP Live World and Skesh Entertainment. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. and the show starts at 8:00 p.m.

Oh boy! Manila finally got the luck to see Henry Cavill up close last December 12, Thursday, during his visit to Manila to promote his new series for Netflix, The Witcher. Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, the series’ show-runner, was with him from the press conference to meeting their incredible Manila fans.
The two were very generous and game to sign a lot of posters with Henry even signing Superman items as he walked towards the black carpet.
We listed our ultimate fan-favorite moments during the event:
We were able to see him in flesh and up close! (Thanks to Netflix for making it possible!)
We got to know that he was a huge PC gamer and a fan of the novel long before he can read it himself. What a sweet surprise that this mutated monster hunter can relate to what he is and will be on the show.
Lauren’s answer when asked about how she approaches each project (that come her way) on a woman’s perspective:
I never think of myself as a female writer. I’m just a writer trying to solve stories. What’s important to me is to make sure that the stories that we’re telling about women are as dimensional and interesting as the ones were telling about men. It’s not about women being appropriate. It’s not about men being more appropriate. We’re making sure that all these characters are fully fleshed out.
That Geralt has indeed soft spots! He is for love which fans will get to see on the show
That the show will be the next big thing to look out for.
The souvenirs! What better way to commemorate the show than having to bring home memorabilia — a shirt, a signature wolf medallion, and a signed poster!
The fact that Henry went an extra mile for his audition and didn’t stop waiting, making follow up, and phone calls for the most coveted role.
Thank you, Netflix! We are excited to know all about The Witcher and see how beautiful you guys will transform it will from a novel to series. The Witcher premieres on Netflix on December 20th.

Later in the afternoon, fans had the opportunity to see Henry at #TheWitcherInManila fan event at Ayala Malls Manila Bay, Activity Center. Host Matteo and The Witcher cosplayers interacted with the audience.
After witnessing the special court dancing and sword fighting acts, the audience participated in a count down and welcomed both Lauren and Henry to thunderous applause. Both signed autographs and posed for photos before Henry took the stage. Day one of the #TheWitcherInManila press tour closed with a special screening introduction by Lauren and Henry. “This is a very exciting moment for Lauren and myself. Even though we are the ones here on stage it’s not just us who put in hours and hours of hard work,” he said. “It’s a crew and a cast of 300+ people. We wish we could have them here. But when you’re watching this, remember that they worked so hard for your entertainment, and we hope that you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed making it,” added Henry.
