Tiffany made her debut in 2007 as a member of Girls’ Generation, one of the most well-known and successful girl groups in K-Pop history. In 2016, she became the second member of the girl group to debut as a solo artist through the extended play, I Just Wanna Dance. The EP received favorable response from critics and was chosen by American magazine Billboard as the seventh Best K-Pop Album of 2016. In addition, the EP also debuted at the third spot of South Korea’s Gaon Album Chart and Billboard’s World Album Chart.

Following her solo debut, Tiffany went on to release non-album singles “Over My Skin” and “Teach You”. After three years, she returned with her second extended play Lips On Lips. Aside from her solo releases, she also served as a featured artist for other singers including Far East Movement and participated in soundtracks for various dramas including Love Rain, To The Beautiful You, and Blood.
