The Philippines will serve as the first stop of Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres World Tour in 2024.
Fans of the band in the country who were dissatisfied with the band’s initial announcement for the Asian part of their Music Of The Spheres World Tour may finally breathe a sigh of relief now that the band has added three more countries in Southeast Asia Asia. On the 19th of January in 2024, the music group that won a Grammy would be performing at the Philippine Arena.
With their upcoming performance at the Philippine Arena, Coldplay will become only the third international band to ever do so at the world’s largest indoor arena.
The announcement comes a few days after a teaser video featuring Coldplay tour advertisements playing on the huge widescreen of Philippine Arena was posted by Live Nation Philippines.
As a result of selling more than 7 million tickets over the course of their Music of the Spheres World Tour, Coldplay were named the Favourite Touring Artist at the 2022 American Music Awards. This achievement was the most for any tour over the course of the past two years.
Coldplay’s current world tour, titled Music Of The Spheres, has produced 47% fewer emissions of carbon dioxide than the band’s previous stadium tour, which took place in 2016/2017. This reduction is a part of the band’s efforts to be more environmentally responsible. In addition, five million trees have been planted all across the world, one for each person who attended the event.
Coldplay have also confirmed they will make a limited number of Infinity Tickets available for the shows at a later date. Infinity Tickets are released for every Coldplay show to make the Music Of The Spheres World Tour accessible to fans for an affordable price. They will cost the equivalent of $20 USD per ticket. They are restricted to a maximum of two tickets per purchaser, and must be bought in pairs (which will be located next to each other).
Fans can register for access to the ticket presale โ which begins for all shows on Monday, June 19 โ at signup.coldplay.com now. The general sale will begin on Tuesday, June 20.

Formed in 2005, the bandโs journey to the top was undoubtedly fueled by their penchant for making rock music exciting again โ with their innate ability to add flare and an unmistakable magnitude to their expansive repertoire of stadium-sized anthems, like โWherever You Are,โ โWe Are,โ โStand Out Fit Inโ and the uplifting โThe Beginning,โ to name a few. Though critics have attempted to label their music in many ways โ emo, post-hardcore, post-grunge, or modern electronic/alternative โ the music of ONE OK ROCK is just undeniably grandiose, and does not let up not even a bit. In short, Filipino fans will definitely have the time of their lives singing and screaming along to each word.
Itโs no easy feat to perfectly describe and encapsulate the magnitude that Japanese rock superstars ONE OK ROCK have brought to modern music. Simply because ONE OK ROCK is not just one thing โ itโs not just a band, itโs not just the music or the incendiary live performances or the unique personas of each of its members, noโฆ ONE OK ROCK is an experience โ one that is both irresistible and unforgettable once you have your first taste of the excitingly magnificent production they have since perfected.

After a three-year absence from live performances caused by the pandemic, Korea’s triple-threat entertainer Lee Seung Gi kept his promise and made a return that made Filo Airens feel like waking up in a promised dream.
The opening was very solemn. The team was able to pull up a VCR, a cue that led him on stage for his opening song, “The Dreamer’s Dream,” from his most recent album, “The Project.” For Airens, this is the album they cling to for comfort during the whole lockdown period. Lee Seung Gi greeted his Filipino Airens with “Mabuhay! Itโs so good to see Filipino Airen and all my fans in the Philippines. Thank you very much! Sobrang na miss ko kayo! I am so honored to meet you guys at my live concert today, and I am very excited to see your passionate and warm welcome! We have been to Seoul, Tokyo, Osaka, and Taiwan, and I think Manila is the best! You are the best!”
He explained that his first song is a bit emotional, but because of the fans’ warmest cheers, he felt more relaxed. It has been 4 years since he last came for his fan meeting, but last night was his first live concert, and he really wanted to visit the country as a singer, saying, “Life is better, right?”
The Law Cafรฉ star checked his fans in every section, making sure they were able to see him. He shared that he had personal things to handle when he was in Korea and had this idea that he had to push for this live concert for his international fans, and seeing them enjoying it made him think he made a good decision, assuring them, “So sit and enjoy while I do my best.” This a cue for his second song, “Wind,” one of the fan favorites from his “And” album released last 2015.
All emotions were held as it was followed by “Return” from his “Forest” album released in 2012, where he was nominated for various awards such as the MAMA Award for Song of the Year and won the Mnet Asian Music Award for Best Vocal PerformanceโMale and continued with โThe Ordinary Manโ where he said after, “I am singing a ballad, but I felt like singing rock songs because you are very energetic.” And “The song I just sang has a story of a man with a broken heart who lost his first love; as soon as I sang the first verse, you were shouting, Seung Gi Saranghe [drawing a loud cheer from the fans], and as you can see, we are a live band, right? I think they are affected by your energy because theyโve been upbeat, and I feel very nice right now!”
Lee Seung Gi was aware of the Filipino penchant for photography, and he teased that fans should only post videos in which he sounded the best. But the reality was, he sounded so outstanding in every one of them, with clear and clean high notes and runs! He explained that the first part of the concert expressed the different seasons: spring, summer, fall, and winter. And for the last 19 years, there have been so many seasons he spent doing different activities, and also, there have been so many memories he had to make with his fans, claiming “time flies so fast.”
Next year will be his 20th anniversary, and he announced that he will be collaborating with different artists, his seniors, and juniors, and theyโll be creating a strong album for the fans and hopefully a world tour. He promised he’d be back in Manila for sure! He shared, “I have been acting as a senior and have been doing different variety shows, and Filipinos love variety shows, so I am thinking maybe I could try and have variety shows here as well.”
Seung Gi, known as generous as he is, got to share an unreleased song with the fans and allow them to take video but begged not to upload it yet as it may be part of his 20th album. He worked together with Captain Planet [a Korean music production team consisting of members Lee Byeong Ho and Choi Soo Ji] on a song titled “I got to the wind that way” and left the stage after.
The dazzling balladeer went back and performed “Forest,” brought nostalgia, one of his most emotional songs, followed by “Circle,” where he set the energy of the whole New Frontier to the highest high while transitioning to “Like a Flower” from his 2019 album “Shadow” where he exudes a charisma of a true rockstar while raising the roof higher for “Losing My Mind,” an OST for his top-notch drama โMy Girlfriend Is a Gumihoโwhere Airens went wild and even asked for one more! It was the ultimate fan service and probably the best of the night, where all positive energy was sustained!
Just in time after a quick rest, Lee Seung Gi sang the songs most of his fans loved from his variety show “Master in the House,” including a cover of Kim Kyung Ho’s “Forbidden Love,” which ignited his passion for singing and proved his worth. garnering 35 million combined views on all platforms and counting, Lee Seung Gi confessed that the team had no idea that people would love it that much, and Kim Kwang-seok’s “Even Though I Love You.” He also did not fail to include his 2006 song โDesire and Resentโ a song that requires equal emotions as per Airens.
Known as South Korea’s “Triple Threat,” he is not only an exceptional singer and television host, but his hit dramas such as Brilliant Legacy, The King 2 Hearts, Gu Family Book, You’re All Surrounded, Hwayugi: A Korean Odyssey, Vagabond, Mouse, and most recently “The Law Cafรฉ” established his domineering presence and proved his supreme passion and ever-unmatched artistry, making him one of the most well-known Korean actors of his generation.
Lee Seung Gi went back to the stage and performed his fan favorite “Delete”. He was able to express the VCR his team created and explain the past 19 years. All the things he experienced and the past he had were shown in the picture, as was what he planned for the future. He said the Philippines made him “nomo, nomo, nomo so much happy” before he went to sing “Music Time,” from his 2004 album “Dream of a Moth,” where he displayed the charisma an Airen and non-Airen would love, following with “Encore” and ending with his most loved song “Because youโre my woman.”
19 years after his debut, Lee Seung Gi is among the most respected entertainers in the industry. This global superstar made a significant contribution not just to the success of Korean music but also to the community. As announced, the proceeds from Lee Seung Gi’s concert will go to Operation Smile Philippines, with the hope that the show will bring children and their families greater pleasure.
From innumerable โMahal kita Philippines,โ and โSalamat Po,โ Lee Seung Gi just proved how he is as a person and the Airens were pleased to see him forging his own way and living a life that brought him happiness โ a real deal singer!
Hereโs to an inspirational journey of finding the positive in the midst of adversity! Please let it be known that you are a genuinely exceptional human being, a brilliant artist, and a truly remarkable person, and we have vowed to be there for you through your highest highs and lowest lows.
The event is presented by HumanMade, TG Entertainment, Faith & D Entertainment, and CDM Entertainment.
MANILA WILL BE THRASH METAL MECCA AS THE BAY STRIKES BACK TOUR BRINGS TESTAMENT, DEATH ANGEL AND EXODUS TO THE PHILIPPINES!
Though there are a legion of successful heavy metal acts that have reached various heights of fame and notoriety, there are only a few that have earned the title as being โgenre-definingโฆโ And as far as thrash metal is concerned, there are names in the game who have long cemented their status as being the originators by laying out the blueprint for the timeless sound and the fury that reigns strong to this day.
TESTAMENT. EXODUS. DEATH ANGEL. Three legendary names any true-blooded metal fan would know and love. Emerging from the widely revered 80s underground thrash metal scene in the San Francisco Bay Area, all three bands unknowingly helped create a sound that was a hybrid of the New Wave of Heavy Metal British Heavy Metal and fast, street-style punk that laid the foundation to some of the most important sub-genres and artists that would follow.
It is this same foundation and formula that influenced and helped catapult The Big Four of thrash โ Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax and Slayer โ into the global superstars they are now: all through a grassroots/D.I.Y. sensibilities like worldwide tape-trading (way before there was the internetโฆ), incendiary live shows that many considered to be almost-religious experiences, and a worldwide sense of community, even with the absence of radio airplay and airtime on MTV.
And now, PULP LIVE WORLD is bringing the experience to Manila this 2023!
Slated to invade our shores on September 21st 2023, The Bay Strikes Back Tour Manila – the long-overdue show to end all metal shows of the year – will be held at the Skydome at SM City North EDSA.
Filipino fans will surely be excited to hear that tickets are affordable, and if theyโre fast enough – they can upgrade their tickets to avail of a limited number of meet and greet slots for each band. Tickets officially go on sale this June 24th, 2023 at 12 noon via SM Tickets outlets nationwide or online via www.smtickets.com.

Without sounding too extreme, it is safe to say that no self-respecting metalhead would dare miss this show โ this is the ultimate experience any fan of the genre can ask for, and for the uninitiated, the best chance to experience and LEARN first-hand where it all started for thrash and heavy metal. Make sure you’re there for this historic event, brought to you by PULP Live World.
Live Nation is thrilled to announce the Melbourne-raised artist RINI in Asia! RINI is set to perform in Manila on 19 July 2023 at the Samsung Hall in SM Aura Premier as part of his PAST THE NAKED EYE 2023 TOUR.
Justerini Sandoval, also known as RINI, is a singer, songwriter, producer, and guitarist who hails from Melbourne, Australia. RINI’s presence has become an online sensation with the release of his most recent extended play (EP), titled “After the Sun.” He has over 20 million plays on Spotify alone, over 550 thousand subscribers on YouTube, and over 200 thousand followers on Instagram and Facebook combined.
As a Filipino-Australian artist, his sound has been influenced by Frank Ocean, Daniel Caesar, Kehlani, Bryson Tiller and The Weeknd. Within the short span of a year, the young up-and-comerโs growth on a personal level bleeds into his music, delivering us material that not only would hit the charts, but is full of profound meaning, a rarity scarcely found in the climate of todayโs industry, some might call this EP an emerald. The EP is a soulful and euphonious sunset story that mainly talks about the beauty of women and the sweetness of another day, an appreciation of life. โAfter The Sunโ in its entirety is a love letter to life, and serves as a reminder to live it with the ones we love.
From the vocals to the words to the beats, everything the Melbourne artist does is a masterpiece. Rini has worked and played with some of Melbourne’s best artists, like Billy Davis, Jordan Dennis, Blasko, and Deandre Brackensick, since he first got on stage.
The 24-year-old songbird’s seductive falsetto and soul-stirring voice showed his songwriting’s emotional depth. His flowing, passionate approach transforms everyday details into romantic neo-soul visions. After emerging as a spectacular new talent prepared to prosper in today’s R&B market, RINI is laser-focused on pushing the frontiers of modern music with his unique approach, gathering over 376M plays across platforms and averaging 2.2M monthly Spotify listeners.
As we see him today, RINI is ready to showcase a new side of his artistry with UltraViolet, his sophomore EP arriving this Fall. โ[UltraViolet] comes from a different place, of different influence,โ says RINI. โItโs bolder, more upfront and a more dauntless version of RINI that translates into the sound of the EP. Iโve taken a different approach sonically and I could say that Iโm taking a risk with some of the songs simply because itโs different to the usual vibe that you would expect to hear from me but thatโs really the whole point of it. UltraViolet is the product of this.โ UltraViolet is a pivot from the narrative introduced with RINIโs debut album, unearthing another side of his artistry that mirrors the changes heโs experienced since the pandemic. Unlike anything heโs released before, this project sets the tone for a new chapter in his sonics โ one that is confident and courageous.
Tickets to public will go on-sale on Wednesday, 31 May at 12pm local time onwards via SMTickets.com and outlets nationwide. Visit livenation.ph for more details.
THE PHENOMENAL POST-HARDCORE OUTFIT YOU ME AT SIX INCLUDES MANILA IN THEIR TRUTH DECAY TOUR 2023 THIS JULY!
Itโs no secret that Filipino music fans are some of the most loyal, passionate, and energetic in the entire world โ never afraid to bare their undying love and support for their favorite artists with the loudest cheers, screams, and sing-alongs to each and every word of their favorite tunes.
And this goes for rock fans especially, which is why anyone can bet that internationally acclaimed pop-punk/post-hardcore group YOU ME AT SIXโs upcoming show here in Manila is set to be yet another amazing show for the proverbial books โ a show no serious aficionado of the genre (or fan of rock music in general, that isโฆ) would want to pass up.
Scheduled to happen on July 6th, 2023 at the Skydome SM North Edsa, the band โ made up of vocalist Josh Fransechi, guitarists Chris Miller and Max Heyler, bassist Matt Barnes and drummer Dan Flint โ simply had to include the Philippines as one of its main stops here in the region for their Truth Decay Tour 2023, after local audiences left a lasting impression on the group when they first played the country as headliners for PULP Live Worldโs Bazooka Rocks 3 festival back in 2014.
And this time, theyโre coming back with even more hit singles under their belt and an even louder show.
Hailing from Weybridge, Surrey in England, the five-piece band was officially formed in 2004 and had their first taste of success via their debut album Take Off Your Colours, as critics dubbed the band to be โthe UKโs answer to Fallout Boy,โ and other media predicting that the band would reach the same heights as American influences and counterparts like Newfound Glory and Panic At The Disco. And the group exceeded most predictions and expectations in the subsequent decade not only with chart-topping singles but with an explosive live performance and touring ethic. The band has since released seven full-length studio albums and numerous singles, including their recent 2023 release Truth Decay this 2023, which includes powerhouse anthems like โGod Bless The 90s Kids,โ โDeep Cuts,โ Mixed Emotionsโ and โheartLESS.โ
Those singles, along with vintage live favorites like โBite My Tongue,โ โRoom To Breathe,โ โLoverboyโ and โNo One Does It Betterโ guarantee that their stop here in Manila will be one of the most eagerly awaited rock shows this year.
So fans better save the date and secure their tickets, which officially go on sale on June 3rd, 2023 via SM Tickets outlets nationwide and online through www.smtickets.com. Bring a friend and spread the word: You Me At Six is coming!

INTERNATIONAL POP-PUNK GIANTS MAYDAY PARADE FULFILL THEIR PROMISE TO RETURN TO CEBU THIS 2023!
Aside from the natural beauty of the land and its people, Cebu has always been regarded as one of the top destinations for good music and great musicians and artistsโฆ but it would be too long of a list to enumerate all the great songs and bands that have come from there, so weโll cut to the chase and give you the awesome news straight up: MAYDAY PARADE will be returning to Queen City of the South!
Thatโs right: this October 28th, 2023, Cebuanos are in for the ultimate treat as the pop-punk/emo giants are scheduled to perform all of their greatest hits at the Sky Hall Seaside Cebu โ and itโs definitely one of the most-anticipated events that will take place this year, especially since it was none other than singer Derek Sanders who promised Cebuanos that they would return after their first successful show in 2019.

The alternative/emo icons โ comprised of lead vocalist/pianist Sanders, guitarists Alex Garcia and Brooks Betts, bassist Jeremy Lenzo and drummer Jake Bundrick โ last visited Cebu in 2019 (a show also produced by PULP LIVE WORLD) and made quite the impression as they put on an excellent show, fueled by some of their biggest anthems like โJamie All Over,โ โMiserable At Best,โ โJersey,โ โOh Well, Oh Wellโ and โPiece of Your Heartโ to name a few. The evening was a spectacular one, filled with cheers and sing-alongs to the bandโs extensive discography of infectious singles.
And theyโre ready to do it all over again.
Formed in 2005 in Tallahassee, Florida, Mayday Parade always had the knack for combining catchy melodies, heartfelt lyricism, and humongous and anthemic choruses. Their 2006 debut EP Tales Told by Dead Friends sold over 50,000 copies on its own, without any label or outside support. With seven full-length albums under their belt to date, the group set itself apart from its contemporaries with its non-stop touring and furious live performances that were both fiery and downright impressive.
The upcoming show in Cebu will be their sixth visit to the country.
So Cebuano music fans, donโt miss this opportunity to let loose and sing along with Mayday Parade! Tickets will go on sale on May 27th, 2023 via SM Tickets outlets nationwide and through www.smtickets.com.

Dubbed MAYO 20: The Finale, the anniversary concert marks the legacy of Mayonnaise as one of the most important Filipino bands of their time, producing remarkable hits that resonate with listeners of all ages and backgrounds.
MAYO 20: The Finale serves as the culminating event in a series of shows that aim to give back to the music fans who have supported the band since day one.
โIโm honestly surprised that weโve made it this far,โ Mayonnaise frontman Monty Macalino admits. โMAYO 20: The Finale is more than just a celebration of longevity and all the great things that have happened to us. We want to give our fans what they truly deserve, and we want to return the favor by going all out with our performance. We will always be forever grateful to them for showering us with unconditional love and support.โ
