Philippines’ Pop Ballad King, Nonoy Zuñiga, is set to celebrate his 50th anniversary as a professional singer with a grand concert titled Beyond Gold: Songs of a Lifetime on September 5 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater. Joining him on this golden milestone are special guests Kuh Ledesma, Rey Valera, Marco Sison, and Lani Misalucha, along with special participation from Andrea Gutierrez, Isha Ponti, and Raymond Gorospe.
At a press conference held on Thursday, August 7, Zuñiga shared his excitement over the upcoming show, which he promises will take audiences on a nostalgic trip through the decades. “I’ll be doing the song for the disabled, which I don’t normally sing,” he said, referring to “Ako Ay Ikaw Rin”, the title track from his debut album. The song not only catapulted him to fame but also earned him a double platinum status and won Album of the Year at both the Awit Awards and Cecille Awards.
When asked how the concept came together, Zuñiga explained that he had long planned to mark this personal milestone with something special. Though Beyond Gold is technically a solo concert, he invited long-time industry friends to help showcase the many eras of his storied career. Concert director Calvin Neria echoed this sentiment, saying, “The Beyond Gold: Songs of a Lifetime concert is a collaboration with Mr. Zuñiga. We’re excited to show all sides of him—from his days as a folk singer to the OPM icon he is now. We promise you a very classy and nostalgic show.”
The press event also featured live performances by Zuñiga and two of his opening acts, Ponti and Gutierrez, giving attendees a glimpse of what’s to come.
Spanning five decades in a constantly evolving Original Pilipino Music (OPM) scene, Zuñiga’s enduring presence is a feat in itself. He reflected on how the industry has changed, particularly the shift away from physical albums. “I wish fans still had the choice to stream and also buy physical albums,” he shared. Nonetheless, he expressed gratitude upon learning that he currently has nearly 300,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, with several of his songs enjoying multi-million streams, proof that his music continues to resonate with audiences across generations.
Looking to the future, Zuñiga expressed a desire to collaborate with today’s top OPM artists such as Erik Santos, Daryl Ong, Morissette Amon, and KZ Tandingan, a testament to his openness to bridging classic and contemporary sounds.
As the final lineup continues to take shape, Zuñiga also revealed one more dream: a duet with the Megastar Sharon Cuneta.
Nonoy Zuñiga, along with his special guests, is looking forward to performing for you at the Newport Performing Arts Theater on September 5. Tickets are still available at TicketWorld online and outlets.
Fresh from their latest individual successes, pop-alternative band Cup of Joe and actress-singer Maris Racal are set to collaborate for the first time at YUGTO: Buhay at Pag-Ibig, A Concert for a Cause, happening on August 15, 2025, at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay City. This much-anticipated concert marks not only a milestone musical pairing but also supports a meaningful cause.
Cup of Joe, currently one of the hottest musical groups in the country, continues to break records with their hit single “Multo”, which has now reached nearly 260 million streams on Spotify. The hauntingly relatable track about longing for lost love also gained further popularity as part of the official soundtrack for Viva One’s rom-com series “Seducing Drake Palma”.
Just last July 27, band members Rafa Ridao and Gian Bernardino were awarded Vocalists of the Year at the 2025 New Hue Video Music Awards, further solidifying COJ’s reputation as a top-tier OPM band.
Meanwhile, Maris Racal is enjoying massive success as the lead star of “Sunshine”, currently on its second week in 35 SM Cinemas nationwide. Directed by Antoinette Jadaone, the film is drawing audiences for its emotional depth and for Maris’ widely praised performance.
On August 15, Cup of Joe and Maris will finally perform together live, though they’ve yet to reveal their chosen piece, they tease that it will perfectly capture the concert’s theme of bittersweet romance and emotional storytelling.
Dubbed the “Hugot Concert of 2025,” YUGTO: Buhay at Pag-Ibig, A concert for a Cause, also features rising hugot-hitmakers Amiel Sol (Tibok) and Earl Agustin (Sa Bawat Sandali), promising a night of heart-stirring performances and music that speaks to the soul.
TJ Monterde’s “Sarili Nating Mundo” world tour marked a milestone in the local concert scene following the success of the recently-concluded two-day sold-out Cebu leg and the upcoming two-day concerts in Cagayan De Oro City and Laguna — a first for any OPM artist who has held shows in these places.
Kate Gayap, CEO/President of EKG Productions, one of the “Sarili Nating Mundo” world tour producers, revealed that the concert reached 18,000 queues for tickets purchasing, exceeding the 4000-seat capacity of the venue in Cebu, pushing them to day two for the show. “Sa local OPM, first time talaga na may nag-day two sa Cebu at Cagayan De Oro City, na first time ever ding na-sold out agad-agad,” she said.
The Davao and Baguio legs of the “Sarili Nating Mundo” tour also broke the record for the local concerts after its back-to-back sold-out concerts, according to Christian Andoy, CEO of CNCA and one of the producers of the concert. “We are so glad to have witnessed and become a part of TJ’s unfathomable success. This is the very first time we have mounted back-to-back sold-out shows in Davao and Baguio. No other local—even foreign artist—has done this,” he shared.
Meanwhile, the venues that hosted TJ’s tour in their respective places also expressed their pride in being part of its historic record that the concert has set. Myla Venegas of SMX Convention Center in Bacolod City recalled the “powerful storytelling and exceptional performances” that the tour delivered in May, setting a new milestone in the local entertainment scene. “The venue reached its full capacity for the first time, packed with enthusiastic fans, making it a historic concert night for Bacolod & Negros Island,” she revealed.
Excited to have the full “Sarili Nating Mundo” experience in Cebu City, which staged on July 24 and 25, Feirlyn Dacasa, Conventions & Events Director of Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino, shared how the tour has already set a record, after the tickets sold out in only a few hours. “Due to the demand, a second concert date was added, making this the first-ever two-day OPM concert held at our hotel.”
Additionally, Corinne Bollozos, Leasing and Business Development Director of Limketkai Sons, Inc. also expressed their excitement to be hosting the “Sarili Nating Mundo” leg in Cagayan De Oro City, which is also TJ’s hometown, on August 9 and 10. “Limketkai Center is proud to host TJ Monterde’s two-day homecoming concert, making this the FIRST-EVER 2-day OPM Concert in our Atrium. He is, of course, the pride of our city and proof that Kagayanon talent is world-class!”
Meanwhile, TJ Monterde continues to make history with Cornerstone Concerts in full support, as the “Sarili Nating Mundo” world set stages across the country, Australia, and New Zealand later this year.
Following the sold-out success of her 2023 concert at the Music Museum, Clara Benin returns to the big stage with a heartfelt celebration of the records that shaped her artistic journey.
Born On A Rainy Night: Celebrating 10 Years of Human Eyes and Riverchild is a two-night concert happening on October 3 and 4, 2025, at the Manila Metropolitan Theater. Presented by minsan studio, the special show reimagines Clara’s early work with a 30-piece orchestra, under the musical direction and arrangement of Ria Villena-Osorio.
Drawing from her 2015 debut album Human Eyes and EP Riverchild, the performance offers a fresh, cinematic take on the music that helped define Clara’s voice in the Philippine indie music scene.
“Human Eyes and Riverchild both came out in 2015, which was ten years ago now, and that honestly feels surreal to say out loud,” Clara shares. “To celebrate, I’m working on a special concert with minsan studio where I’ll be performing songs from those records, but reimagined with an orchestra. It’s something I’ve always dreamed of doing, and getting to do it for this show makes it even more meaningful.”
The concert is envisioned as both cinematic and intimate, a moment to reflect on where the songs began, and how they’ve grown through the years.
“It’s not necessarily leading into a new release; maybe something will come out of it, maybe it won’t,” she adds. “But it definitely feels like a bridge between the past and the future. Working on these arrangements has been grounding, and it’s given me a clearer sense of where I want to go next.”
minsan studio CEO Jason Conanan shares more about the creative direction:
“Clara and the team started by going back to the songs, the feelings, the time and place where they were first written,” Conanan explains. “It was important to stay true to those emotions, while allowing the music to grow with who Clara is now.”
Tickets to Born On A Rainy Night: Celebrating 10 Years of Human Eyes and Riverchild will be available starting Wednesday, July 30, 2025, viawww.minsan.studio. Early bird ticket prices are available for a limited time only.

THE BIG VOICE, A LOT OF BIG SONGS AND BIG LOVE. THE VOICE OF MR. BIG: ERIC MARTIN UNLEASHED AND UNPLUGGED WITH DAVID COTTERILL IS A SHOW MADE FOR FILIPINO MUSIC LOVERS!
Sure, there are great singers from different generations and parts of the world – those who can hit high notes, carry tunes and harmonies, and well, just be good at what they do. And there are performers who know how to work a crowd: from the serious aficionados to casual fans. It’s a rarity to have both rolled into one, and this simply differentiates the talented from the iconic.
And then there’s Eric Martin.
For decades, Martin has been the voice of what is probably one of the greatest hard rock supergroups ever to roam the world, Mr. Big, with humongous hits in tow and with a dizzying amount of musical technique in hand: from screeching, balls-out scorchers like “Daddy, Brother, Lover, Little Boy (The Electric Drill Song),” and “Colorado Bulldog,” to Top 40 chart toppers like “To Be With You,” “Wild World,” Nothing But Love,” “Stay Together,” “Take Cover” and timeless ballads like “Just Take My Heart,” “Promise Her The Moon,” “Anything For You,” and many more. Surely, it wasn’t just the collective’s ability to finely craft tunes that were both musically jaw-dropping AND radio-ready, but it was also Martin’s distinct vocal prowess that not only impressed audiences and fans, but captivated music lovers and left an indelible impression on music fanatics. Simply put, with just a few notes in, anyone can tell it’s Eric Martin – there is simply no one who sings or sounds like him.
Which is why PULP Live World is proudly giving Filipino fans the rare opportunity to hear – and experience that very same magic – of the singer/songwriter this September 15th, 2025, at the Skydome, SM North Edsa. Officially dubbed as The Voice of Mr. Big Eric Martin: Unleashed and Unplugged (with David Cotterill), it’s definitely a spectacle with no frills and no grandiose gimmicks – just pure, soulful singing and raw emotion Pinoys have always related to, and in turn, have always sung-along to.
Truly a night that will celebrate timeless tracks and Martin’s deeply personal relationship with the Philippines, the set promises to be all-killer, no-filler – and is surely an event all types of music fans should not miss – from the sentimental to the balls-out-rock fans who enjoy a healthy dose of grit with their melodies.
And ticket prices are hard to beat: VIP tickets are at PHP 3,000 (which include Soundcheck and Meet n’ Greet access), and Regular tickets are at PHP 2,000, and will be made available through SM Tickets outlets nationwide, and online via www.smtickets.com starting August 2, 2025.

This July, Original Pilipino Music will take center stage in a celebration unlike any other, as Marco Sison—one of the most cherished voices in the Filipino music scene—presents ‘Seasons of OPM’, a landmark solo concert that promises an evening of nostalgia, reverence, and artistry. Set to be held on July 25, 2025, at 8:00 o’clock p.m. at The Theatre at Solaire, this extraordinary event is more than just a showcase of beloved hits—it is a heartfelt tribute to the soul of Filipino music and a journey through its most defining eras.
Produced by Echo Jham Entertainment in collaboration with Toplex Advertising, ‘Seasons of OPM’ is a musical journey through time and is envisioned as a sweeping retrospective of the rich tapestry that is Original Pilipino Music. From the tender strains of traditional kundiman to the powerful ballads and iconic anthems of the ‘70s, ‘80s, and ‘90s, Marco Sison will guide audiences through a sonic timeline that mirrors the evolution of a nation’s heart and soul.
“This concert is a love letter to OPM,” says Marco. “It’s my way of thanking the music that shaped my life and career, and sharing it with fans old and new.”
For Marco Sison, whose career has spanned decades with hits like ‘Make Believe’, ‘Ikaw Lamang’, ‘My Love Will See You Through’, and ‘Si Aida, Si Lorna o Si Fe’, this show marks a creative turning point. While he’s long been known as a romantic balladeer, ‘Seasons of OPM’ will showcase a bolder, more expansive Marco—one who’s ready to embrace a diverse palette of genres in a show-stopping performance that reflects his enduring versatility and evolution as an artist.
‘Seasons of OPM’ is a star-studded night of music and meaning.
Under the masterful direction of Calvin Neria, one of today’s most sought-after concert directors, the show will be a production masterpiece—elegant, emotionally rich, and unforgettable. Musical direction will be led by none other than Louie Ocampo, the legendary composer behind many OPM classics, including Marco’s own iconic hit ‘Si Aida, Si Lorna o Si Fe’.
Joining Marco on stage are some of the brightest stars in Philippine entertainment. Led by Vice Ganda, Rey Valera, Nonoy Zuñiga, and Concert King, Martin Nievera—each one a luminary in their own right. Their participation adds a layer of magic, creating moments of collaboration that are sure to bring both chills and cheers.
Yet beyond the fanfare, the concert also holds a more intimate, poignant dimension. ‘Seasons of OPM’ will honor two of Marco’s dearly departed friends and fellow legends—Rico J. Puno and Hajji Alejandro—in a moving tribute that recognizes their invaluable contributions to the OPM landscape.
As one of OPM’s timeless voices, Marco Sison has earned his place in the pantheon of greats. But rather than rest on past laurels, he sees ‘Seasons of OPM’ as a platform for something even greater… inspiring the next generation.
“I hope this show encourages young artists to discover and embrace OPM,” he says. “Our music is a treasure. It tells our stories. And it deserves to live on.”
Marco’s recent digital single ‘Sabik na Puso’—a tender track that continues to gain traction across platforms—serves as proof that his artistry remains as vibrant as ever. With ‘Seasons of OPM’, he opens a new chapter, proving that true artistry knows no age, and that the heart of OPM beats strong and steady.
Whether you’re a lifelong fan or a newcomer eager to experience the richness of Filipino music, ‘Seasons of OPM’ is a concert not to be missed. It’s more than just a performance—it’s a celebration of memory, melody, and meaning.
Tickets are now available via TicketWorld and at the Solaire Box Office.
Come and witness Marco Sison as he leads us through the seasons of our music, our memories, and our hearts. This July the 25th, let the music play—and let OPM shine like never before.
“Grabe ka, Ninang Puregold, binuhay mong puso ng bawat Pilipino. Pinagsama-sama mong lahat ng fandom at mga malulupit na guest stars!” Puregold OPM Con 2025 concertgoer, Mhadz Garcia, gushed in her Facebook post about the recently held star-studded music event.
On July 5, the Philippine Arena, undeniably the world’s largest indoor entertainment venue, became the stage for one of the most spectacular nights in Filipino music history. With more than 30,000 fans in attendance, Puregold OPM Con 2025 marked a new era for original Filipino music, bringing together icons, rising stars, and all manner of fans.
The event featured a powerhouse lineup of today’s hottest OPM acts—BINI, Flow G, G22, KAIA, SB19, Skusta Clee, and SunKissed Lola—but what truly made the night historic were the surprise collaborations that bridged generations: James Reid performed with BINI; Mayonnaise teamed up with KAIA; Yeng Constantino sang alongside G22; and the legendary Rico Blanco joined forces with SB19, giving fans a once-in-a-lifetime musical experience.
“It’s not only about the artists and the kind of genre they’re in, but the music and our stories worth celebrating,” shared Jobelle Nervar. “Thank you, Ninang Puregold.”
The audience was a glimpse of your daily supermarket crowd—an energized, diverse bunch of everyday Filipinos who earned their tickets through Puregold’s grocery promos, an accessibility that was celebrated, and rightfully so.
As articulated by Pinoy Publiko in his blog, “What stood out most was the diversity of the crowd. It wasn’t a scene dominated by influencers or industry insiders; it was full of people who got in through supermarket purchases and raffle entries. And while Puregold may be better known for groceries than gigs, the event showed that a retail chain can, surprisingly, pull off a large-scale cultural moment.”
Adding to this acclaim, Philippine Star’s Interaksyon declared, “That night proved that OPM is not just a moment, but a strong movement. And it, indeed, was pure gold.”
In their review, they mentioned how the concert marked history “as it gathered not only the country’s top OPM artists, but also their beloved fans.”
Ardent followers likewise expressed heartfelt thanks for an experience that was both generous and inclusive.
“Ninang Puregold, salamat po sa pagdala ng OPM artists sa Philippine Arena,” wrote Maria C. Escobal. “They all deserved to be heard and to perform in the biggest arena—dahil atin ‘to. See you again at the next event. Salamat po, Ninang Puregold, sa pagiging generous ninyo. Free shuttle, free snacks, free ticket, and a surprise OPM legend!”
Meanwhile, Ambakung Bibal praised the concert’s spirit of unity: “Love the idea of P-pop groups and veteran OPM artists in one big concert. Camaraderie, respect, and talent all in one! Thank you, Ninang Puregold!”
Online pages dedicated to concert coverages also took notice. The Philippine Concerts Facebook page wrote, “Puregold brings Filipino music to new heights in OPM Con 2025 at the Philippine Arena. Thank you, Puregold, for uniting fans in an epic celebration.”
From emotional ballads to high-energy dance tracks, the night celebrated the full spectrum of Filipino sound. And perhaps most importantly, it reminded everyone of OPM’s power to inspire, connect, and uplift.
“Mumultuhin na naman tayo ng araw na ’to, bukas o makalawa,” quipped Michael Arcos. “Sana may natutunan kayo sa gabing ’to—na lahat naman ng OPM artists ay may common goal. ‘Yan ang OPM Rise.”
From supermarket aisles to arena center stage, Puregold has become a cultural powerhouse, making OPM more accessible than ever.
As Vincent Co, President of Puregold Price Club Inc. puts it, “If this is what Puregold can do for OPM right now, imagine what we can further do for Filipino music and entertainment in the years to come. The future of OPM is brighter, Filipino artists deserve the world stage, and we’re proud to support and be part of that journey.”

While every BLOOM, ZAIA, and BULLET may have showed up to watch their favorite groups’ solo performances, nothing could have prepared fans for the three unforgettable moments that would ultimately define the event. These three moments saw the unthinkable finally come true, turning every PPop stan’s dreams into reality.
Charlotte of KAIA and Alfea of G22 came out for the first collab of the night, joining BINI during their performance of recent hit “Shagidi
First, during BINI’s performance of their hit single “Shagidi,” Charlotte of KAIA and Alfea of G22 came out together with Stell of SB19 to partake in the synchronized dance. Fans of all three girl groups were instantly whipped into a frenzy as they witnessed the sheer force of all three groups teaming up on stage.
KAIA, G22, and BINI Sheena joined rock legend Rico Blanco and boy wonders SB19 for their performance of “Dungka.”For many Filipino fans, getting to see three PPop powerhouses join forces was a surreal moment like no other.KAIA dominated the stage with their performances of hit singles like “Tanga” and “You Did It.”
Concert viewers were further stunned when Pinoy rock legend Rico Blanco joined boy group SB19 in performing the latter’s hit single “Dungka.” During the number, KAIA, G22, and Sheena of BINI swooped onstage to link up with Blanco and SB19. Just imagine five Pinoy powerhouses joining forces to celebrate Pinoy music!
G22, also known as PPop’s Female Alphas, took their moniker to heart by commanding the entire Philippine Arena to its feet.Every PPop stan at Puregold OPM Con 2025 showed up and stayed for the biggest Pinoy music event of the year.
Finally, in sync with the event’s headliners, all three girl groups united once more for a dazzling performance of Puregold’s anthem “Nasa Atin ang Panalo,” a song that perfectly reflects the joy and triumph of seeing BINI, KAIA, and G22 collectively uplifting Pinoy music.
While every BLOOM, ZAIA, and BULLET may have shown up to watch their favorite groups’ solo performances, nothing could have prepared fans for the unforgettable collaborations.
Social media’s positive response to this grand finale validated Puregold OPM Con 2025’s theme of togetherness. For one night, BINI, KAIA, and G22’s fandoms momentarily set aside exclusivity and chose, instead, to uplift one another and celebrate the power of Pinoy music as a whole.
The OPM Con is one of Puregold’s many endeavors in supporting the arts, just like their annual CinePanalo film festival, and their series available online.
Perhaps it was the shared experience of concert goers securing their tickets through grocery shopping—or the matchless production value of the event, with each act getting a chance to shine through their individual stages.
Puregold OPM Con 2025 proved that all it takes is three incredible girl groups, one legendary stage, and 30,000 people who believe in the shared power of true Filipino music.
Maybe it was the sheer size of the crowd—30,000 ardent OPM fans screaming at the top of their lungs. Or maybe it was just ‘lightning in a bottle’, with the perfect storm of artists and ambiance. Whatever the reason, every PPop stan at Puregold OPM Con 2025 showed up and stayed for the biggest Pinoy music event of the year.
For one final performance, every act, including BINI, KAIA, and G22, took the stage to sing Puregold’s winning anthem “Nasa
In the end, Puregold OPM Con 2025 proved that magic needs neither sleight-of-hand tricks nor a complex formula. Sometimes all it takes is three incredible girl groups, one legendary stage, and 30,000 people who believe in the shared power of true Filipino music.

There is absolutely no doubt that they are one of the most legendary acts of the millennium—crafting some of the most timeless, sonically gargantuan and chart-topping hits with an unmistakably and uniquely dark, almost goth-like aesthetic that became THE fashion sense during the early 2000s. Though the band was initially together for barely over a decade, their influence on music and pop culture was cemented forever.
In fact, it never really left… the magic has always been present in the consciousness of both die-hards and those who know a thing or two about classic music.
And now, MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE is taking the world and stage by storm again via an extensive world tour that’ll resurrect all those wonderfully gloomy, roof-raising anthems; and to endearingly quote one of their hits, may “Heaven Help Us,” as this is definitely an event for the books.
And of course, the Philippines will be included as one of the stops of the Black Parade.
PULP Live World is proud to confirm that MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE will be performing at the mammoth Philippine Arena in Bulacan next year, on April 25th, 2026. Though it seems quite a long way to go, serious fans can already feel the electricity in the air, as the historic gathering promises to be a night of thundering sing-alongs, exceptional musical artistry, unmatched overall production, and, of course, a more-than-healthy dose of nostalgia.
Formed in 2001 in New Jersey by original members Gerard and Mikey Way (on vocals and bass, respectively…), guitarist Ray Toro and drummer Matt Pelissier (and later on by guitarist Frank Iero), the band built quite a following independently via their 2002 debut I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love but it was their second full-length (and notably their first major label release Reprise Records) Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge that catapulted the band into newer territories of infamy and success – via colossally well-received singles “I’m Not Okay (I Promise),” “The Ghost of You” and “Helena.”
Though associated with contemporaries like The Used, Thursday, Fallout Boy and the whole “emo” movement, the band rejected the tag, and clearly, had a more sonically adventurous approach to music – which was equal parts punk rock and grandiose, made evident via their following release The Black Parade – a rock opera that had the entire world listening and loving the eyeliner. Its singles – “Famous Last Words,” “I Don’t Love You,” “Teenagers” and the massive magnum opus “Welcome To The Black Parade” – catapulted MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE to stratospheric levels of fame and success, as the song was not only considered an emo anthem, but one of the greatest and most important songs ever written by rock pundits and critics.
Manila was lucky the first time around as the band was first able to bring The Black Parade experience in 2008, and finally, the long wait for a bigger, even better MCR spectacle is finally happening during the summer of next year. Pre-sale tickets will be made available from 12PM to 10PM PH Time on September 6, 2025, and General sales go live the next day, September 7th, at 12PM PH Time onwards via pulptickets.com, so be sure you’re ready to secure your spot on those dates.
