Tears For Fears are coming back to the Philippines to do 2 shows in Manila and Cebu by Ovation Productions
Ovation Productions is bringing back Tears For Fears, one of the most successful and influential British synth pop duos of the ’80s will be performing at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on August 10 & 11, 2012 and in Cebu on August 12, 2012 at the Cebu Waterfront Hotel & Casino. Those who missed their 1 night concert last 2010, this is the time to relive and celebrate their music live in Manila and Cebu.
Made up of duo Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith, Tears For Fears enjoyed worldwide success in the 80s when British bands were setting the commercial and cultural bar in regards to pop music. They have sold in excess of 22 million albums worldwide spawning massive hits such as “Everybody Wants To Rule the World”, “Shout”, “Head Over Heels”, “Sowing The Seeds Of Love” and “Mad World”. Roland and Curt split in 1990 after their meteoric rise through the pop charts only to reunite and release a new album in 2004. Since then Tears For Fears continue to sell out shows throughout the world and maintain their status as one of pop music’s more productive musical collaborations.

I will definitely watch this! I missed the first TFF concert , but even if I watched that I will still watch the August 10 concert because Tears For Fears is one of the best bands I listened in college which is the most memorable times of my life. Plus Fra Lippo Lippi’s Sorensen will join this concert which is a very huge bonus!

I saw them August 5, at San Jose Civic Center in California. Great! Bandand one of my favorite. They played most of their hits song such as everybody wants to rule the world, pale shelter, change, shout, break it down again, women in chains, memories fade, closest thing to heaven, mad world . Before the final song Roland mentioned Philippines about their 3 days concert seems he’s excited about it. I guess he misses our Filipino hospitality where in our smile is not politely distant, it is spontaneous and from the heart. Hope they won’t cancel their show due to storm… you know what? who cares rain or shine show must go on!!! Enjoy.
Last time I saw them in my college bar….they had to play half their songs twice because they ran out of songs…. And now I’m going to see them thirty years later….quite odd.

Finally! I wlll be able to see my most favourite band of all time! I am glad one of my best buddies will tag me along to the concert tonite. Just to know it is Roland and Curt singing live over the mega speakers is worth the price of admission and the long commute. Thanks for all those who made this possible the second time around.
