“Castaway Diva” is a romantic comedy that tells the story of a girl who became stranded on a deserted island when she was traveling to Seoul to take part in an audition to become a singer. The audition was in Seoul, and the girl was on her way there when she became cast away. This new drama will mark the third time that “While You Were Sleeping” and “Start-Up” director Oh Choong Hwan and “Start-Up” writer Park Hye Ryun have collaborated on a production.

The survival thriller “Alice in Borderland,” which is a global mega-hit, will return for a third season of the Netflix series “Alice in Borderland.” Additionally, it was announced by Netflix that co-stars Kento Yamazaki and Tao Tsuchiya will be returning to their roles, and that Shinsuke Sato will continue to direct the series. Doona! is an upcoming Netflix Original South Korean romantic K-drama that is based on the famous webtoon of the same name. It follows the lives of college student Lee Won-jun and the mysterious ex-K-Pop star Lee Doona as they meet and fall in love while living in a sharehouse.
The show is directed by Lee Jeong Hyo, who also worked on the very famous K-dramas Crash Landing on You, Romance is a Bonus Book, and Life on Mars.

Netflix revealed an exciting Japanese slate of unscripted content, from outrageous variety shows to unique dating formats. At the APAC Unscripted Showcase, Netflix Japan Content Manager Dai Ota shared a peek at five reality series that feature Japan’s unique entertainment culture. “We’re excited to move into a new phase of our content strategy, ramping up our investments in unscripted and bringing new concepts to the screen. We want to elevate the unscripted category with great production values and storytelling from Japan’s most innovative creative voices,” Ota said.
Japanese reality series have captured global audiences and Netflix is continuing to pursue fresh ideas across genres with 15 titles currently being developed. “We are committed to being the go-to destination for immersive, authentic and must-watch unscripted experiences,” Ota added.

LIGHTHOUSE features musician-actor Gen Hoshino and comedian Masayasu Wakabayashi (from the comedy duo Audrey) embarking on a six-month conversation based on “single-line journal” where they share their personal stories, struggles, and fears with each other and the viewers. Gen Hoshino created the opening song “Mad Hope” featuring Louis Cole and Sam Gendel, as well as five ending songs inspired by his conversation with Wakabayashi in the episodes. The trailer depicts scenes from the two characters’ respective histories. Lee Hong Jo and Jang Shin Yu simply look at each other as if time has stopped while they are in the middle of the crowd. While he is holding Lee Hong Jo closely, Jang Shin Yu leans in and whispers something into her ear. “Let’s run away, to some place,” he says.

Kim Mo-Mi: Forced to live three lives under three different names, – Kim Mo-Mi, the corporate employee Showgirl A-reum, and Prisoner Number 1047 – she becomes this enigmatic character who relishes the applause and adoration of her online audience, even as her life off-camera is filled with unhappiness due to her complex appearance. An unforeseen incident triggers her transformation into a murderer, adding yet another identity to her tumultuous life.
Ju Oh-Nam: Played by Ahn Jae-hong, he is an office worker whose only pleasure is watching internet broadcasts after work. Kim Kyung-Ja: Portrayed by Yeom Hye-ran from The Glory, she is a mother whose entire world revolves around her son. When her son goes missing, she begins a relentless pursuit to find him. Yeom says: “I hoped that Kim Kyung-Ja’s revenge would not be motivated only by her motherhood.I wanted to include various complex conflicts originating from her age, religion, and other beliefs, and I had many discussions about these conflicts, which arise as she rushes towards a large and clear goal called revenge.” Her nuanced analysis has sparked curiosity about the character.
“Mask Girl” was written and directed by Kim Yong-Hoon, and it was produced by House of Impression and Bonfactory (respectively owned by CJ ENM and Fifth Season). He calls the three protagonists “injured, marginalized individuals,” all of whom are caught up in a murder plot.

Behind Your Touch is an upcoming Korean comedy drama that will star Han Ji-min and Lee Min-ki. The story centres around a curious small-town veterinarian named Bong Ye-boon (played by Han), who all of a sudden has psychometric skills that allow him to look into the pasts of other living species.
In the meantime, Lee plays the role of Moon Jang-yeol, an aspirational investigator who realises that he needs Ye-boon’s skills to solve specific murders. Suho, a member of EXO, plays Kim Sun-woo, a young man who relocates to their town and begins doing several part-time jobs.
Behind Your Touch is set to premiere on August 12 only on Netflix. Watch the main trailer below.
