    – As the director of concerts, events, films, music videos, and TV commercials, I am beyond excited to announce the 10th anniversary of Fusion: The Philippine Music Festival, happening on March 15, 2025, at the CCP Concert Grounds in Pasay City. With the theme “Isang Dekadang Musika,” this milestone event is not just about celebrating the past—it’s about setting the tone for the future of concert experiences in the Philippines.

    Looking back at the very first Fusion concert in 2015, our goal was simple: to unite artists from different genres and showcase the strength of Original Pilipino Music (OPM). Now, ten years later, we’re taking things to the next level—not just by gathering the best and biggest artists, but by redefining what it means to go to a concert.

    A New Era of Concert-Going: More Than Just a Show

    With today’s digital era shifting entertainment consumption towards streaming, we want to bring back the thrill of live music—to make concert-going a must-do experience again, especially for the younger generation. Fusion 2025 is designed to be more than just a show—it’s an all-day, immersive festival that goes beyond the main stage.

    • A Celebration of Filipino Culture & Creativity – More than just a concert, Fusion 2025 aims to highlight the richness of our music, art, and pop culture, all in one massive event.

    A Director’s Vision: Paul Basinillo

    As someone who has directed concerts for some of the biggest names in the industry—including Sarah Geronimo, Bamboo, Gloc-9, James Reid, and major live events like SEA games, PBA openings and UAAP opening, my goal has always been to create shows that go beyond just the music. I believe concerts should tell a story, create an atmosphere, and give audiences something unforgettable.

    This 10th year of Fusion is a milestone for OPM, proving that Filipino music continues to evolve, grow, and inspire. But more than that, it’s a milestone for live entertainment in the Philippines. This is our chance to set the standard for what a modern Filipino music festival can be—something that rivals international festivals, with our own unique identity.

    This isn’t just about the past decade of OPM. This is about the next generation of Filipino music, artists, and fans. This is about bringing people back to live events, making concerts an experience they will always want to be part of.

    Art Fair Philippines is set to present its 2025 edition in a dynamic new venue at Ayala Triangle in Makati City from February 21 to 23. International exhibitors from Austria, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, and Spain will join leading Philippine art galleries to showcase curated exhibitions from local and foreign visual artists.

    While the shift to the iconic venue at the heart of Makati Central Business District marks a new era for the fair, Art Fair Philippines continues to present an expansive program that aligns with its mission to develop the audiences for Philippine modern and contemporary art.

    One of the most anticipated highlights of the fair is the ArtFairPH/Projects section, a collection of curated exhibits that celebrate artistic excellence and innovation, reinforcing the fair’s position as a key player in the global art scene.

    For this edition, ArtFairPH/Projects, presented by BPI, features an extraordinary blend of established masters and emerging talents in Philippine contemporary art including Manny Garibay, Manuel Ocampo, Goldie Poblador, Ryan Rubio, and Jezzel Wee.  Continuing last year’s collaboration with the Embassy of Spain in the Philippines as a Special Project Partner, the fair also features the work of Spanish collective SpY Studio.     Art Fair Philippines invited Nazareno/Lichauco to design the ArtFairPH/Projects space and the café for this year’s fair.

    Another exciting section of the fair, the ArtFairPH/Digital section, presented by Globe, features digital media works that incorporate and engage with computer technology, animation, virtual or augmented reality, artificial intelligence, and the metaverse.

    For this section, artist and technologist Chia Amisola presents KAKAKOMPYUTER MO YAN (That’s what you get for using the computer!), a collaborative exhibition showcasing internet art and the third-world online experience.

    Motion graphics artist and engineer Isaiah Cacnio also brings his creative and compelling visual storytelling to this section of the fair. His work, which often explores the themes of light, movement, and spatial dynamics, transforms ordinary spaces into immersive environments.

    Screenings at the Amphitheater will feature more animated and digital work set up at the outdoor tiered space adjacent to the lawn of Ayala Triangle Gardens.

    Learning at Art Fair Philippines

    Since 2013, a vibrant educational program has been integral to Art Fair Philippines’ mission to develop a wider appreciation for contemporary and modern art. To this end, ArtFairPH/Talks offers fair visitors opportunities to deepen their art experience even more with a series of talks, panel discussions, workshops, and performance art that are designed to contextualize the art at the Fair.

    Presented together with Ateneo Art Gallery and the Museum Foundation of the Philippines, ArtFariPH/Talks provides insight into artists’ works and lives, art forms, artistic processes, collectors and their interests, and other aspects of today’s complex art world.

    One highlight of this year’s ArtFairPH/Talks program is a panel discussion on collection management from a collector’s point of view, in partnership with Larry’s List, the world’s leading art market knowledge company that provides data, research and access to contemporary art collectors.

    A diverse range of topics will be explored at ArtFairPH/Talks, including insights into the featured artists’ practices, contemporary art programming, the landscape of digital art collecting in the Philippines, and more to be announced in the coming weeks.

    ArtFairPH/Film

    Screenings of Kono Basho, the work of award-winning director J Pacena serves as the main feature of this year’s film program, with a talk-back scheduled with the film’s cast.  The work, included in the  Cinemalaya 2024 lineup, tells the story of a young Filipino-Japanese woman who travels to Japan for her estranged father’s funeral and her experience connecting with his Japanese family, especially with her half-sister.

    Also scheduled is a special screening of The F.A.T. Boys!! Episode 1: Each One Teach One. The series, shot by American director Drew Milo, follows two friends, Mr. StarCity and Splashman LV in their travels.  The premiere episode, shot during their trip through the Philippines last year, features Toby Tamayo, the environmentalist based in La Union.  He welcomes the duo into his home and takes them through land he has reforested throughout the last decade with flora and fauna indigenous to the Philippines.

    Both ArtFairPH/Talks and ArtFairPH/Film will take place at The Executive Centre, the fair’s venue partner.  Their spaces are located on the 6th and 8th floors of Ayala Triangle Tower 2.  Entrance to the Talks and Film sections comes with the cost of the fair’s ticket. 

    ArtFairPH/Residencies

    For 2025, Art Fair Philippines launches ArtFairPH/Residencies Curator’s Grant Program in collaboration with the Ateneo Art Gallery, the fair’s Education Partner.

    Since its first edition, Art Fair Philippines has worked towards widening the local audience for contemporary art and highlighting the visual arts in a meaningful way. Through this residency, the fair hopes to open up the possibilities for Filipino artists even more. The aim of this three-week grant is to introduce selected international curators to the Philippine art scene.

    10 Days of Art

    Also complementing the fair is the 10 Days of Art initiative highlighting a series of events around the Makati Central Business District with participation by galleries, museums, and other establishments to celebrate the best of Philippine contemporary art beyond the fair’s venue.

    Some of the exciting public art exhibitions include outdoor sculptures by Briccio Santos in Legazpi Park, an immersive and experiential installation by Kim Borja in Glorietta, and JEFRË’s Talking Heads at Circuit Makati.

    Neal Oshima and Fotomoto will also transform the Legazpi Underpass and Greenbelt 3 Sunken Park into art exhibit venues, while TYLR Collective presents works at Paseo Villar Underpass.

    Coldplay released the music video for their track ‘Man in The Moon’ from the extended Full Moon Edition of the band’s latest international number one album Moon Music. ‘Man in The Moon’ is one of three additional original songs on Moon Music (Full Moon Edition). 

    Coldplay said: “While we were in Singapore, we shot the video and captured some of the amazing, young, vibrant people that we had met. We are interested in shooting things in places we have never filmed before and mixing people up as much as possible. It was really fun to have a kind of dance party out in the middle of the water, just us and the otters.”

    Set against Singapore’s unique cityscape, the video spotlights Singapore’s iconic spots and hidden gems, from the breathtaking Marina Bay to the historic Fort Canning Park and vibrant neighbourhoods.

    The ‘Man in The Moon’ music video features youths of diverse backgrounds and identities portrayed by Singapore talents, from striking cosplay artists to daring creatives. Singapore’s multi-cultural environment provides a fitting backdrop, where people with different backgrounds and stories converge, embodying the song’s theme of unity and shared experiences transcending individual differences. The finale sees the youths coming together at Marina Bay, joining Coldplay on a floating stage built specifically for the music video, as they belt out the chorus.

    The latest music video is brought to life by director Ben Mor, known for his work on Coldplay’s ‘Hymn For The Weekend’ music video. It is filmed in partnership with Warner Music Singapore and Singapore Tourism Board. 

    ‘Man in The Moon’ was filmed in January 2024 during the band’s Music of the Spheres World Tour stop in Singapore. An exclusive Coldplay fan party to celebrate MOON MUSIC was held in Singapore on 5 February 2025 at Marina Bay Sands’ newly revamped SkyPark deck, where the music video was premiered.

    G-DRAGON, born Kwon Ji-Yong, hails from Seoul, South Korea and has been a prominent figure in the global music and K-Pop since the age of 13.     After the old year activities that welcomed the New Year is done and all the festivities have died down, it probably seems fitting that the New Year is ushered in by the “Love Month” of February where Valentine’s Day is the first event to be celebrated in the hopes that perhaps the love will spread and last for the rest of the year.

    This February 15, 2025 Saturday, a celebration of Love will be the main theme of the “LOVE FEST @ HACIENDA ISABELLA” off Tagaytay . Headlining this out-of-town celebration is Pop Diva Ms. KUH LEDESMA together with her daughter ISABELLA, Theater Actor JACK SALUD, up and coming singer THOR with Special Guest MANUEL ESCUETA. The event will start off with Dinner at 6 pm to be followed by the Musical Performances at 8pm and snacks after the concert.

    KUH LEDESMA and her daughter Isabella are already quite familiar figures to a lot of people but the 3 men who are also part of the show’s cast are not entirely known to the public, not yet anyway. But it’s no longer surprising to some that it is Kuh’s personal crusade to introduce and help out Filipino artists as part of her I LOVE OPM Advocacy.

    Jack Salud is a Theater Actor who as part of his resumè have performed in various Musicals and Straight plays for Repertory Philippines. Some of his theater credits include Jekyll & Hyde, The Man of La Mancha, Little Women, The Taming of the Shrew, I Love My Wife and Zorba. Jack is also a 3-time Aliw Award nominee for Best Classical Singer for 3 Consecutive years from 2014 to 2016.

    Wanting to be known simply as THOR, Thor started singing publicly in Malls and Train Stations in order to help raise funds for sick and underprivileged street children. Thor is an alumni and Grand Finalist of Tawag ng Tanghalan Season 8. He also participated The Voice Teen Philippines. Originally born in California USA, Thor moved to the Philippines when he was 4 years old. He got discovered and successfully became a child star for ABS CBN and GMA 7. His teleserye credits include Angelito, Batang Ama and Second Chances and was a regular on the award-winning kids show Goin’ Bulilit. Thor is presently enrolled as a Senior Student at La Salle Greenhills and will soon be enrolling on a Musicology scholarship at the University of Sto. Tomas.

    Manuel Escueta

    Manuel Escueta (a.k.a. Efren Escueta) was discovered by Kuh herself when she was invited to judge in a Singing Competition where Manuel was one of the grand finalists. And although Manuel did not win the Grand Prize, Manuel’s performance so impressed the country’s Pop Diva that when the opportune time came she invited Manuel to be part of her show. When Manuel isn’t busy shuttling from one singing competition to another and taking care of his 3 children, he would busy himself with his online buy and sell business in order to augment the family income that his wife sends back home as an OFW in Bangladesh. Manuel’s hopes and wish is that he may one day be able to snag a record deal that would make him as successful as his singing idols Basil Valdez, Martin Nievera and Gary Valenciano. But Manuel is “keeping it real” and he knows that real success does not come overnight. He knows he still needs to do a lot of hard work coupled with lots of good breaks like the one that Ms. Kuh Ledesma has given to him in order for him to realize his dreams. “The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step” that’s why he’s “keeping his feet on the ground while reaching for his shining stars”

    Lola Amour continues to expand their global footprint with the release of “Maria, ” a collaboration with Australian artist Oliver Cronin.     Written at a music camp in Malaysia, “Maria” blends a classic boyband ballad with a bold saxophone solo, capturing the unique synergy between Lola Amour and Oliver Cronin. The song tells the story of Oliver and Lola Amour’s lead singer Pio, both blindly in love with Maria, unaware of her secret betrayal. “Working with the Lola Amour boys was an incredible experience.
