  • Saosin Marks 20 Years of Musical Magic with Manila and Cebu Shows This May 2026

Saosin Marks 20 Years of Musical Magic with Manila and Cebu Shows This May 2026

The riffs, the vocal melodies, the anthems, and the sing-alongs… and that unspoken feeling of being a part of something you grew up alongside-to, that transformed into an experience larger than life itself. And that description barely scratches the surface of what it actually feels like watching seminal screamo/post-hardcore icons SAOSINdeliver the goods onstage… that’s right – only loyal fans and followers will understand what makes the band one of the most important figures of the cherished musical genre/movement in the past two decades of their existence.

And SAOSIN wants to both celebrate and deliver that same sonic magic once again to its loyal Filipino fans, and this time around, they’ve included Cebu City in their run! Yep – not only will they be returning to revisit Manila, but they are heeding the call of their Cebuano fan base, who have since proven their unmatched taste and overall love for all things excellent, especially music.

The shows – part of the SAOSIN: Celebrating 20 Years of Self-Titled & The Hits Asia Tour 2026 – will happen May 4that the Sky Hall Seaside Cebu and on May 7th at the Skydome SM North Edsa, and both shows will share the same ticketing tiers: PHP 6,000.00 for VIP A – which includes a meet and greet group photo opportunity, an exclusive ID laminate, a signed poster and priority entry. VIP B tickets will be sold at PHP 4,000.00, while general admission tickets will be sold for PHP 3,000.00.

Tickets will officially go on sale on February 27th via SM Tickets outlets and will be made available online through smtickets.com.

Having released their debut EP Translating The Name in 2003 (with original vocalist Anthony Green…), it was 2006’s self-titled debut with singer Cove Reber that catapulted the band into grand territory and saw their evolution from a talented band with exceptional songs and talent, into a well-oiled touring machine armed with anthems for the generation. Currently comprised of founding member/guitarist/vocalist Beau Burchell, singer Reber, guitarist Phil Sgrosso, bassist Chris Sorenson and drummer Alex Rodriguez, SAOSIN has more than a handful crowd favorites under their belt: like the explosive “It’s Far Better To Learn,” the anthemic “Voices,” and the emotionally charged “You’re Not Alone,” to name a few.

Incidentally, the band’s last visit to the Philippines was in November 2023, where they played a successful two-night run at the Skydome in SM North Edsa. A second date was added due to insistent public demand, as the originally scheduled show sold out quickly.

So you know what to do, Manila and Cebu! Take note of the dates and do not hesitate to secure your spot at a surefire legendary live experience. Celebrate 20 years of SAOSIN with us! Brought to you by PULP Live World.

  • Les Misérables in Manila: A Mirror of Filipino Resilience and Revolution!

Les Misérables in Manila: A Mirror of Filipino Resilience and Revolution!

At its core, the musical’s themes, poverty, social injustice, oppression, survival through hardship, redemption, and especially “righteous revolution” strike a chord in a country with a long history of fighting inequality and standing against tyranny. We Filipinos see ourselves in the barricade alongside the students of “Do You Hear the People Sing?” as they rise against injustice, reflecting our collective struggles for dignity and change amid ongoing economic challenges and systemic issues.

This show builds on the Les Misérables: The Staged Concert model by adding new set design and lighting to make it a great theater experience. Lea Salonga plays Madame Thénardier, Rachelle Ann Go plays Fantine, Red Concepcion plays Thénardier, and Emily Bautista, who is making her Manila debut as Eponine. Their involvement adds a meaningful local touch, bringing together stars from around the world with stars from the area. Filipino audiences now connect with several strong, interconnected reasons that make it feel less like foreign theater and more like a mirror to real life.

The story’s portrayal of desperation, stealing bread for survival, mothers sacrificing everything, the marginalized scraping by, feels achingly familiar in a society where resilience and communal support are cultural strengths. It’s not escapism; it’s recognition. The production employs over 100 staff members and promises a polished performance that spans approximately three hours, presenting the enduring themes of redemption, revolution, and resilience found in Victor Hugo’s narrative. The sound design is impressive and the balance between the live orchestra and vocal performances is perfect, which makes the whole thing more emotional. The live orchestra, which included Filipino and international musicians, was praised for providing a powerful audio experience. The technical aspects of the Solaire stage made the show feel more personal and emotional. The audience was full of excitement on gala night, with lots of applause and cheers. This Manila engagement is more than just a tour stop; it’s a celebration of Filipino talent set against a backdrop of great theater.

The current 2026 Manila run amplifies this connection through strong Filipino representation, creating a profound “homecoming” vibe. We have loved Les Mis for decades amid ongoing societal reflections, it remains a timeless, cathartic reminder of why people fight, and why and how we sing through the struggle. It just fits so perfectly: it’s not just watched; it’s felt, claimed, and lived.

Les Misérables: The World Tour Spectacular, celebrating the musical’s 40th anniversary, is currently being showcased at The Theatre at Solaire in Manila from January 20 to March 1, 2026.

Nothing’s About to Happen to Us…until MITSKI comes to Manila! From quiet confessions whispered over trembling guitars to stadium-sized anthems of longing and self-reckoning, MITSKI has built a career out of telling the truth, no matter how uncomfortable, tender, or devastating it may be. MITSKI began her career by self-releasing her first two albums, Lush (2012) and Retired from Sad, New Career in Business (2013) while attending college. Her breakout came with Bury Me at Makeout Creek (2014), a raw, guitar-driven record that established her as a powerful new voice in indie music.

MITSKI’s artistry continued to evolve with critically acclaimed albums such as Puberty 2 (2016) and Be the Cowboy (2018), the latter earning widespread commercial success and cementing her global reputation. Songs like “Nobody,” “Washing Machine Heart,” and “Your Best American Girl” became cultural touchstones, praised for their emotional honesty and sharp storytelling.

Her reach expanded even further with later releases, including the globally adored track “My Love Mine All Mine,” which became one of her most widely known songs to date. Beloved for its tender vulnerability and timeless melody, the song introduced Mitski to an even broader audience worldwide, solidifying her ability to create music that feels both deeply personal and universally felt. Across every era, MITSKI has remained unmistakably herself, an artist unafraid to sit with discomfort and turn vulnerability into power.

In 2026, MITSKI releases her highly anticipated eighth studio album, Nothing’s About to Happen to Me, out February 27. The album introduces a new era for the artist, led by its first single and music video, “Where’s My Phone?”, offering a glimpse into the album’s introspective yet striking sonic direction.

Following the album’s release, MITSKI brings Nothing’s About to Happen to Me to the stage, and for the first time, to Philippine shores!

Why “NOBODY” Is a Fun, Feel-Good Animated Film That Captures You with Its Tale Opens in PH Cinemas on February 4!

Nobody expects much from a pig, a toad, a weasel, and a gorilla, but that’s exactly what makes NOBODY such a delightful, fun animated 2D film this 2026. Witness it on the big screen starting February 4.

NOBODY is about the adventure of these four nameless little demons who leave their ordinary lives on Mount Langlang, setting them on a rollercoaster ride journey where they experience danger, discovery, and unexpected growth of themselves.

Here’s why NOBODY captures audiences with its tale:

    Four Loveable Underdogs
The pig, toad, weasel, and gorilla are individually unique yet loveable characters, despite being underdogs. Their distinct personalities, flaws, and quirks bring comedic antics that drive them toward their goals. Although they are neither legendary nor powerful, they are clever, resilient, and their determination makes them both relatable and endearing. Along their journey, these unlikely “heroes” show that being a nobody doesn’t mean you can’t make a difference because sometimes, you are THAT difference.

    Animation and Hand-Drawn Style
NOBODY’s 2D animation style, with its lush hand-drawn visuals and watercolor stroke aesthetics, has caught the attention of early critics and viewers of the film, as it blends traditional techniques while presenting the feel of classic Chinese landscape painting, perfect for its waggish and mystical setting. NOBODY pays homage to its cultural roots while giving a playful twist to tales like Journey to the West.

    The Heart and Soul
The pig, the toad, the weasel, and the gorilla may seem flawed and often underestimated, yet their dynamic turns everyday mischief into shared purpose, trust, and heartfelt moments, making their journey chaotically entertaining, funny, and touching. What starts as an adventurous chase for recognition becomes a heartfelt exploration of bravery, learned through laughter, failure, and the unwavering companionship of these four.

NOBODY’s heart lies in the laughter that opens space for tenderness, and in how courage and friendship reshapes oneself, while the soul is the belief that bravery and kindness make anyone extraordinary, and that even “nobodies” have stories worth telling.

  • INDIE POP TRAILBLAZERS PREP DROP BLISSFUL FUNK FLOOR FILLER “DO WHAT YOU GOTTA”

INDIE POP TRAILBLAZERS PREP DROP BLISSFUL FUNK FLOOR FILLER “DO WHAT YOU GOTTA”

FEATURING TAIWANESE ICONS SUNSET ROLLERCOASTER AHEAD OF FORTHCOMING EP ‘ONE DAY IN THE SUN’ DUE OUT MARCH 20TH!

January 29th, 2026 — Philippines — English four-piece indie-pop band PREP return with their new single “Do What You Gotta”, featuring Taiwanese megastars Sunset Rollercoaster. The track unfolds as a warm, blissful funk floorfiller, all about new beginnings, and trying to find love wherever you can. Smooth, understated, and emotionally grounded, the collaboration brings together two bands whose shared sensibility blurs borders and genre lines. Fans can stream the new single HERE.

The single arrives as the lead release from PREP’s upcoming EP, ‘One Day in the Sun’, slated for March 20th. The EP will be available on vinyl, with pre-orders now open via the band’s official merch store HERE. The release marks a significant moment for a band whose global footprint is increasingly defined by their devoted Southeast Asian audience. PREP’s influence runs deep across Southeast Asia, where their blend of indie pop, soul, and retro influences has resonated powerfully with fans across the region. Partnering with Sunset Rollercoaster, one of Taiwan’s most influential modern bands, further solidifies PREP’s connection to Asia and reflects a shared musical language that transcends borders.

PREP – “Do What You Gotta” (feat. Sunset Rollercoaster) [Official Visualizer]

Speaking on the collaboration, vocalist Tom shares: “It feels like this Sunset Rollercoaster collaboration has been a long time coming. We almost finished a song with them in London a couple of years ago; then Kuo performed with us in Taipei last year, and we went back to their studio afterwards for a long night of playing and talking about all sorts of ideas. But as soon as we had this song for the EP, we knew it was the one. At some point this year, we need to be on a stage playing this song with all of them.

Llywelyn adds: “Sunset Rollercoaster are perhaps the one other band in the world closest to us… They’re part of this scene that’s based in Taiwan, Japan and Korea – bands doing stuff that’s in our sort of world. It’s a scene that doesn’t really exist in the same way in Europe, and a lot of it is based around City Pop, which is Japanese pop music from the ’80s. That, as much as ’70s American acts, is where we’ve naturally gone to as a band.

“Do What You Gotta” arrives at a high point in PREP’s global momentum. The band has amassed over380 million streams across DSPs and was recently ranked among the top 25 pop soul artists in the world (Chartmetric). They have previously completed sold-out tours across Southeast Asia, including a successful 2024 Asia run, during which they played shows in Bangkok, Taipei, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, and Manila. In 2023, they performed at VERY Festival in Thailand, followed by a series of headline shows in China, before closing out the run at Clockenflap in Hong Kong. Southeast Asia remains a key stronghold for the band, where audience growth continues to outpace other regions. On the digital front, their viral cover of Harry Styles’ “As It Was” has garnered over 5.8 billion views and 1.6 million TikTok creations, underscoring their massive online reach. PREP’s top global audiences rank #1 Indonesia, #2 Thailand, #3 Philippines, #5 Malaysia, and #7 Taiwan, with top listener cities including Bangkok, Jakarta, Quezon City, Taipei, Singapore, and Kuala Lumpur, solidifying the band as one of the region’s most beloved indie-pop acts.

This new single showcases a cross-regional collaboration that reflects not just where PREP are from, but where their music truly lives, leading into their highly anticipated forthcoming EP—a record that fuses jazz, West Coast soul, 1980s studio polish, Japanese City Pop, and a sound that is unmistakably contemporary.

SB19 turns monumental concert into lasting legacy in Simula At Wakas: Kickoff Concert Album

Recorded across the two-day concert in the Philippine arena, the 19-track live album captures a defining moment in P-Pop history.

The album redefines a new era of boldness and ambition in SB19’s music, further elevated by the group’s undeniable world-class performance.

    SB19

Mixed and mastered by Radkidz, with live arrangements by Jem Florendo, the 19-track album features live performances of songs from Simula At Wakas (2025), Pagtatag! (2023), and Pagsibol(2021), alongside the concert version of the fan-favorite single “Moonlight.”

The two-night spectacle set the tone for a 21-show tour spanning cities and territories across the United States, Canada, Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Australia, and more.

“These versions reveal who we are now,” the P-Pop powerhouse adds. “Everything was done with intention, but also with openness, allowing the moment to shape the performance. This album represents years of hard work, discipline, and belief, and we wanted it to feel alive and heartfelt.

  • Ben&Ben releases “Duyan” music video starring Khalil Ramos and Gabbi Garcia

Ben&Ben releases “Duyan” music video starring Khalil Ramos and Gabbi Garcia

The song completes the ‘Mahiwaga trilogy,’ which includes hit songs “Pagtingin” and “Araw-Araw”

Ben&Ben continued to solidify their status as one of the most important voices of OPM in 2025. The acclaimed band made history as the first Filipino act to surpass three billion streams on global streaming platform Spotify, while also earning major wins at the 28th Awit Awards, including Album of the Year for their third studio album, The Traveller Across Dimensionsand Best Performance by a Group Recording Artist for “Triumph.” As the year drew to a close, Ben&Ben’s music found itself intertwined with national consciousness when “Kapangyarihan,” their collaboration with SB19, emerged as a modern anthem in protest spaces, echoing public anger amid allegations of corruption surrounding flood control and infrastructure projects.

Now, as they turn the page to a brand-new year, the multi-awarded nine-piece collective invites listeners to start the year on a more intimate yet optimistic note with the release of their new single “Duyan”—out now on all digital music platforms worldwide via Sony Music Entertainment.

Written and composed by frontman Miguel Benjamin and produced by longtime collaborator Ziv alongside Ben&Ben, “Duyan” represents a profound, romantic bond that defies distance, time, and obstacles. The rousing pop-rock ballad encapsulates what true love really means: deep affection, unwavering loyalty, and the choice to remain committed even when faced with challenges and adversities.

According to Miguel, he wrote the song three days before his wedding, while sitting alone in his car. The song contains everything he wanted to tell his then-future wife.

“There are songs where artists write themselves in the music, and this is one of them,” Miguel explains. “That day, the idea of fully offering oneself to another person stayed with me. It’s a love inspired by lifelong commitment, shared journeys, and selflessness. More than anything, I realized that I was ready to make the promise before God. I felt it in the deepest part of my heart.”

Musically, the band worked closely with their good friend and constant collaborator Ziv to honor the song’s emotional core, while “maximizing the soul and expanse of the band’s instruments to take it to the fullest version it was meant to become.”

The song is part of the Mahiwaga Trilogy, Ben&Ben’s thematic arc on romantic relationships. The series began with “Pagtingin,” a groovy meditation on love at first spark and infatuation, and continued with “Araw-Araw,” a folk-pop ode to choosing your partner every single day. “Duyan” closes the chapter with finality, speaking of lifelong commitment and assurance.

“Two years after I wrote the song Duyan and kept it as a very personal part of my life, it made sense for it to be put out there,” shares Miguel. “It also made sense for it to be the conclusion of the trilogy of songs/videos Pagtingin and Araw-Araw.”

    Music Video

The song will be accompanied by the release of a music video starring real-life couple and actors Gabbi Garcia and Khalil Ramos, who also appeared in the previous installments of the Mahiwaga Trilogy. For Khalil, returning to the project was a full-circle moment for both Gabbi and him.

“Thematically, it’s beautiful to see how the story progressed since Pagtingin,” shares the Filipino actor, singer, and filmmaker. “I vividly remember how we shot those two videos, and the film LSS. Gab and I grew alongside these songs. At every stage of the trilogy, we could deeply relate to it, because it reflected the different phases of our own relationships through the years.”

Miguel praised both actors in the music video for their enduring role in the band’s visual storytelling. “It was so good to be able to work with our longtime friends Gabbi and Khalil once more in this music video. You could say we’ve both grown so much in life and in our careers ever since the last project we did together. It was great catching up and telling stories of the past and making new memories.”

Directed by Lunchbox Studios under the helm of Daniel Aguilar, the wedding-themed music video brings the trilogy to a close through rosy, introspective visuals.

Ben&Ben said viewers can expect to see a wonderful blend of magic and everyday life in the music video: “We’ve been working with (Lunchbox Studios) for a while now, and for this video, we wanted to do a very intimate but expansive conclusion to the videos we’ve done before. We collaborated on a concept of a portrayal of the stages of commitment done in magical realism.”

Ben&Ben’s “Duyan” is out now on all digital music platforms worldwide via Sony Music Entertainment. Watch out for the music video of “Duyan” on Ben&Ben’s official YouTube channel.

  • Colde Brings a Quiet Intensity to Manila’s Blueprint+ Tour

Colde Brings a Quiet Intensity to Manila’s Blueprint+ Tour

On the evening of January 17, 2026, the Music Museum in San Juan City became a space defined less by spectacle than by atmosphere. South Korean singer-songwriter COLDE, on the Manila stop of his Blueprint+ Tour, offered a performance that was meticulous in its pacing and intimate in its emotional resonance.

Colde’s music has always straddled genres, R&B, hip hop, and indie pop, without ever feeling derivative. In Manila, that sensibility translated effortlessly. His songs were not designed to dominate the room, but to invite the audience into the nuances of his sound, where quiet melodies and intricate beats carry as much weight as any chorus.

The night opened with DJ Skope, a South Korean producer whose electronic and techno set coaxed the audience from their seats. By the time the lights dimmed, Colde entered quietly, dressed in understated streetwear, opening with “Toxic Love” and “Heartbreak Club.” Early in the set, he performed “When Dawn Comes Again,” a collaboration with Baekhyun, marking the song’s first live presentation on the tour. The song’s intricate harmonies and understated production highlighted both artists’ voices while immediately signaling that this stop would offer exclusive moments for the Manila audience.

Colde addressed the crowd briefly, noting that he had tried to learn some Tagalog for the performance, but found it unnecessary, given his comfort with English. The remark, modest and self-aware, reflected the kind of intimate connection he sought throughout the evening.

Midway through the set, Khakii joined him on stage. Known for his performances on Show Me The Money, Khakii delivered a series of rap sequences, including collaborative tracks “BASS” and “Juicy,” which contrasted sharply with Colde’s measured melodies. The interplay between the two artists underscored the careful pacing of the concert, balancing intensity and reflection.

Colde returned to the stage later in the set, introducing unreleased material and performing “Sunflower,” during which he handed crochet flowers to fans in the front rows. The gesture, small but deliberate, mirrored the intimacy of his compositions and highlighted the concert’s rhythm: emotional investment over spectacle.

The emotional apex came with “Star,” Colde’s contribution to the See You in My 19th Life soundtrack. As the house lights dimmed and phone flashlights dotted the room, the audience entered a shared, almost meditative space. Familiarity and immediacy combined, creating a moment that felt like both memory and presence.

The encore returned the energy to a kinetic high. DJ Skope resumed his set, Khakii rejoined Colde, and the trio closed with “All in Motion,” blending hip hop and electronic textures. The room responded physically as well as emotionally, moving with the music until the lights rose and the night concluded.

Across the evening, the Blueprint+ Tour in Manila demonstrated that intimacy and precision need not compromise impact. Colde’s ability to control pacing, navigate collaborations, and engage the audience created a performance that was both restrained and resonant.

  • RIIZE Had Our Hearts Beating RIIZING with Kilig Memories We’ll Hold Onto After RIIZING LOUD in Manila

RIIZE Had Our Hearts Beating RIIZING with Kilig Memories We’ll Hold Onto After RIIZING LOUD in Manila

It took a year and a half, but RIIZE finally made their long-awaited return to the Philippines for RIIZING LOUD in Manila last January 17 (SUN) at the Mall of Asia Arena, and the moment they stepped onstage, it felt like coming home.

Seeing Shotaro, Eunseok, Sungchan, Wonbin, Sohee, and Anton again was emotional in the best way. Since their RIIZING DAY fancon on July 14, 2024, PH BRIIZE had been counting down nonstop, and judging by the screams inside the arena, the wait only made everything hit harder.

The excitement didn’t even start with the main show. During soundcheck, the members surprised everyone by doing the “Wag Ipagsabi” TikTok challenge, taking turns and clearly having fun with it. Watching them naturally adopt a local trend, and then seeing them upload the video the next day, made us miss them almost immediately.

    RIIZING to the Occasion

When the show finally began, the arena exploded. RIIZE kicked things off with “Ember to Solar,” then went straight into “Siren,” “Odyssey,” and “Combo.” It was loud, intense, and impossible to look away, an opening that made it clear they were back and better than ever.

Once they paused to talk, the energy shifted into something warmer. Sungchan shared how the crowd’s reaction made it feel real that they were back in Manila, and when RIIZE told BRIIZE how much they missed us, the response was immediate: a full-arena shout of “We love you, RIIZE!”

    A Trip Down Memory Lane

Things softened with “Memories,” as the entire arena sang along like one big choir. It was one of those moments where you could really feel the connection between RIIZE and BRIIZE.

They kept the mood light with their Japanese tracks “Be My Next” and “Lucky,” then leaned into their sweeter side with “Midnight Mirage” and “Hug.” By the time “Love 119” played, hearts were definitely gone.

    That “Pinoy-Coded” Rizz

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Manila show without some extra fan service. RIIZE is fully committed to the bit, delivering Tagalog pick-up lines that sent the crowd into full kilig mode:

    • Sungchan: “Keyboard ka ba? Kasi type kita.”
    • Shotaro: “Alarm clock ka ba? Kasi ginising mo ang natutulog kong puso.”
    • Eunseok: “Siomai ka ba? Kasi I’mma siomai love for you.”
    • Wonbin: “Ube ka ba? Kasi I only want U be.”
    • Sohee: “Math ka ba? Kasi sa’yo ang bagsak ko.”
    • Anton: “Water ka ba? Kasi my love for you is tubig (too big).”

Every line was met with screams, laughter, and the kind of joy that only happens at concerts like this.

    From Soft to Wild

Riding that happy high, RIIZE moved into “9 Days” and “Show Me Love.” They slowed things down with “Honestly,” giving everyone a quiet moment to breathe before launching right back into the fun.

The energy shot up again with “Talk Saxy” and “Impossible,” turning the arena into one big dance floor. Then came the switch. “Fame” hit with all its emo, rage-filled intensity, and suddenly everyone was screaming their feelings out.

Just when we thought they were done surprising us, RIIZE pulled out a confident, charismatic cover of EXO’s “Monster.” The crowd lost it. From there, it was nonstop with “Bad Luck,” “Get a Guitar,” and “Boom Boom Bass,” before soaring into “Fly Up.”

    A Promise We’ll Wait For

Before the encore, it was BRIIZE’s turn to give back. As the lyrics to “Inside My Love” filled the screens, the arena showed off the famous Filipino Throat Chakra, singing at full volume from start to finish.

As always, the end came too fast. RIIZE closed the night with “The End of the Day” and “One Kiss,” waving goodbye with the softest smiles and countless “Salamat po.”

It felt less like a goodbye and more like a promise, one that we’ll be waiting for, hopefully at an even bigger venue next time.
