Nothing but Love for Christina Grimmie
Christina Grimmie was moved to tears from the massive love that she felt during her first show in the country. Filipino Frands, as her fans are called, have been a strong force of support from the beginning. Seeing this support through her recent mall tour in the country filled her with an overwhelming sense of gratitude.
Her tour kicked off at the Alabang Town Center with the second show three hours later at Glorietta. The third and final show was held the following day at Trinoma. During her show at the Alabang Town Center last October 4, 2014, Christina expressed how she had been longing to visit the Philippines because of her Filipino fans.
Dressed in an all-black ensemble, she emerged for the first time on Philippine stage after a snippet of her latest single, Must Be Love, was played on screen. The activity center was ringing with screams and shouts, an expression of love, no doubt. Opening her set was her song, Tell My Mama.

Rebelution Live in Manila 2015

Bastille’s Rhythm of the Night
Karpos Multimedia gave concertgoers and music aficionados the first concert of 2015. Hundreds of people welcomed the New Year with a band they love. Though many of them had gone back to reality, there was something to look forward to that night. The fifth evening of January was another cause for celebration.
The World Trade Center was a sprawling venue with more than enough space for every one to revel in the music, but as soon as Bastille entered the crowd huddled close to the stage. Blood red lights glowed as the London-based musical quartet commenced their Manila show.
The band composed of Dan Smith, Chris Wood, William Farquarson and Kyle Simmons, was in awe at the turnout of the crowd as it was their first time in the country. “It is so good to be in the Philippines,” lead singer Dan said, and expressed gratitude through their performance.
Aside from playing numerous tunes from All This Bad Blood and a track called The Drive from their VS EP series, Bastille performed what Dan labeled as a “newish song” entitled Blame. This new song has yet to be released in their sophomore album.

Just Like Magic!
Snippets of distortion guitars and the bass drum interrupted the jazz tunes that kept the crowd-in-waiting company. With the lights gone, and the chilly air engulfing the theater, what came next surprised all. With a bang, the opening act jumped right into song. They steered the atmosphere to that of a rock show with their punk rock melodies, fast beats, and head banging.
They ignited crowd interaction as hundreds of hands clapped in the air. Julz Savard, the lead singer, introduced the band as Save Me Hollywood. Throughout their 30-minute set, her witty remarks kept the crowd entertained.
The synthesis of pop, reggae, rock and R&B washed over the confines of the Newport Performing Arts Theater as Magic! began their set list with Stupid Me.
“Manila, are you ready??” lead vocalist Nasri Atweh asked.
