IVE Redefines Their Unique IVE-dentity in Electrifying “Show What I am” Manila Concert

Phenomenal South Korean girl group IVE returned to the Philippine concert stage for their world tour, SHOW WHAT I AM, last April 25, 2026, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Filipino DIVES, the group’s devoted fans, filled the arena with anticipation, as it had been two years since IVE’s last concert in the country. From showcasing what they had during their first tour, members An Yujin, Jang Wonyoung, Liz, Rei, Gaeul, and Leeseo have since developed a distinct flavor and identity with this current tour—showing who they truly are, both individually and as a group.

The stage, adorned with massive LED screens, bright lights, spark fountains, and laser beams, opened with IVE’s performance of “Gotcha,” instantly igniting the excitement of Filipino DIVES in the arena. The group also performed “XOXZ,” the title track of their fourth Korean EP IVE SECRET, for the first time for their Filipino fans. Captivating and enchanting, IVE sustained their unstoppable charisma through performances of “Baddie,” “Ice Queen,” “Blackhole,” “TKO,” “Holy Moly,” and “My Satisfaction.”

As IVE continued to explore their artistry and deliver their best to DIVES, this tour provided an opportunity to highlight their solo releases. Jang Wonyoung delivered a fiery performance of “Eight,” Rei charmed with the sweet, candy-like “In Your Heart,” Liz moved the audience with her heartfelt rendition of “Unreal,” Gaeul energized the stage with “Odd,” Leeseo impressed with the powerful “Super Icy,” and An Yujin showcased her unstoppable swag in “Force.”

IVE returned to the stage dressed in white fluffy coats with angel wings and pink glitter accents, revealing a softer and more playful side through performances of “Beats,” “WOW,” “Off the Record,” and “FLU.” Filo DIVES were completely smitten as the members moved closer to the crowd, interacting warmly with fans across the arena.

During their ment, the members introduced themselves in Tagalog one by one, further energizing the crowd as they showcased their charm in the local language. IVE expressed their joy at being back on the Philippine concert stage. “It’s been two years since we last visited Manila, and thanks to your warm cheers, we are back now with SHOW WHAT I AM,” shared An Yujin, clearly overwhelmed by the unwavering support of Filipino DIVES.

“If our previous tour was a moment to show what we had, this tour, SHOW WHAT I AM, is an opportunity to show you who we are,” Jang Wonyoung explained, emphasizing how the tour allowed them to reveal their evolving artistry. Rei added, “We really wanted to show you what IVE is as a team, so we prepared bold and slightly darker songs at the beginning—how was it?” prompting loud cheers from the audience.

“Two years have passed before we finally returned to the Philippines, but your cheers are still the loudest,” Gaeul said, thanking fans for their unwavering support. Leeseo noted that the tour challenged them to express each member’s unique charm, while Liz highlighted the effort put into preparing their solo stages.

As the show progressed, IVE unveiled gold-and-black outfits, signaling a bold and fiercer era. The group continued to captivate the audience with performances of “Attitude,” “Love Dive,” “Rebel Heart,” and “I AM.”

“Thanks to the passion of DIVES, we are having so much fun,” Leeseo shared, visibly delighted by the crowd’s energy. “The energy of DIVES is unbelievable!” added Gaeul and Liz. Meanwhile, An Yujin playfully asked, “Magaling ba kami?” prompting thunderous cheers and affirmation from the audience.

The show concluded with their latest release, “BANG BANG,” followed by encore performances of “Wild Bird,” “Supernova Love,” and “After Like.”

IVE has truly set the standard for brilliant performances and versatile talent that continue to captivate DIVES worldwide. Their electrifying energy, gripping performances, and magnificent stage production prove what makes them truly unique, authentic, and remarkable. • Clara Benin leans into love’s softer moments in 6-track EP, really got me thinking

Clara Benin leans into love’s softer moments in 6-track EP, really got me thinking

Her new EP captures the beauty of stillness and emotional duality.

Filipino singer-songwriter Clara Benin explores the “inner weather of love” in really got me thinking—her latest EP under Sony Music Entertainment.

Pivoting towards delicate soundscapes and lush arrangements, the 6-track release embraces a quieter form of introspection: the sonic treatment, pared down and intimate, leaning towards newfound openness in both sound and storytelling.

“I’ve learned to sit with simplicity and to trust that not every space needs to be filled, that silence and restraint can carry just as much meaning as sound,” Benin explains. “Because of that, I allowed the words and melodies to breathe more, and I think it creates a more intimate listening experience, like you’re just sitting in the moment with me.”

Benin adds that it’s her first time writing a record entirely dedicated to love from a more optimistic perspective. “Having an EP that’s entirely made up of love songs is something new for me. It feels like a different kind of openness and a big part of my growth as a songwriter.”

According to the Parallel Universe act, the EP draws from the duality of rainy days—both simultaneously heavy and comforting—offering solace and refuge amidst the chaos. Produced by Clara Benin and The Ringmaster, the imagery informs the sonic and lyrical foundations of the record, resulting in a heartwarming collection of tunes that doubles as bedroom confessions.

In terms of songwriting, really got me thinking unravels distinctly as an honest reflection of personal growth and creative ingenuity. Her emotional honesty is matched by intricate sound design, one whose deliberate restraint invites listeners into a shared space of stillness, where words and melodies are given room to breathe.

“I tried to let the songs hold both feelings at once, the same way they exist in real life,” Clara admits. “Some moments feel warm and grounded, while others carry a bit more tension or movement. I didn’t feel the need to resolve that contrast and just to let it exist, honestly, because love rarely feels like just one thing.”

The focus track, “wings” encapsulates the recurring theme of the EP, where love is considered both grounding and liberating. Through dynamic shifts in arrangement and vocal delivery, the song evokes the feelings of being simultaneously held and set free: a study in contrast, but one that coexists in peace. “It’s about finding someone who makes you feel safe enough to dream bigger, someone who reminds you of who you can become. So wings became a metaphor for that—for becoming, for growth, and for finally allowing yourself to fly.”

Accompanying the release is an upcoming live show that aims to translate the introspective essence of the EP into an immersive experience. Designed to reflect the record’s emotional landscape, the performance will feature warm, dreamlike visuals and a carefully curated setlist centered on the EP’s six tracks, interwoven with select earlier works.

Clara adds, “We’re expanding them just enough to fill the room without losing their intimacy. My live performances are usually more backing track-heavy, but for this show, we’re stripping things down and leaning into more live instrumentation—adding piano, bass, and live backing vocals to keep everything feeling organic. It still feels very personal, just with a bit more warmth and presence.”

INDIE ROCK SENSATIONS GOOD KID DROP HIGHLY-ANTICIPATED DEBUT ALBUM ‘CAN WE HANG OUT SOMETIME?’

PREVIOUS SINGLES FROM ALBUM SURPASSED 18 MILLION STREAMS

Toronto’s Good Kid has released their highly anticipated debut album ‘Can We Hang Out Sometime?’, recorded with GRAMMY-winning producer John Congleton (St. Vincent, Wallows, Lana Del Rey). The highly-anticipated debut album captures the band pushing their sound into new territory, while retaining the high-energy hooks and inventive riffs that have become their hallmark.

The theme of connection runs throughout the 10 tracks on ‘Can We Hang Out Sometime?’ – its importance, its fragility, and the search for it in moments of uncertainty. From the bittersweet “Wall” to the tender “Coffee”, the album serves as both an ode to and a meditation on how we relate to friends, lovers, the world around us, and ourselves.

Leaning into that emotional openness, the band pushed themselves further than ever before in the studio. “This record is the most unfiltered and uninhibited we have ever been,” shares the band. “There are so many things on this record that are irreproducible, sounds and methods that made each and every take totally unique. From writing a crazy solo that’s nearly impossible to play to having Nick screaming his lungs out in his vocals for the very first time.”

Across the record, those ideas take shape in stories of strained friendships, missed signals, and the quiet effort it takes to show up for one another. “The record is about acknowledging the difficulties of life and hanging out with your friends anyway, to help make it better,” says singer Nick Frosst. That tension between closeness and distance carries across the album’s emotional range, from the grungy bite of “Eastside”, which picks at a long-held grudge, to the haunting pull of “Rift” and its all-consuming obsession. “Cicada” wrestles with inadequacy and desire, while “Tea Leaves” reflects on the cyclical pain of drifting apart.

At the album’s core, “Ginger Lemonade” stands as a heartfelt love letter to the band’s own creative partnership, a reminder that ‘chosen’ family can weather even the most uncertain moments. “Sonically this record is us exploring some of the most visceral emotions…” shares guitarist David Wood. That sense of shared experience extends not only to the album’s themes, but to the way the band write and create together. “If we could each individually just write these songs, we probably would have,” explains guitarist Jacob Kereliuk. “But part of why we’re in a band is the camaraderie and the brotherhood. We all need each other to take these ideas and explore them together.”

A string of releases leading up to the record release has built incredible momentum for the band. Recent single “Cicada” sits at over 5 million streams across platforms, helping push the band past 3.45 million monthly listeners, and over 800 million catalogue streams to date.

Good Kid – “Cicada” (Official Video)

Late last year, the band performed at the Streamer Awards in Los Angeles, where the performance placed the band amongst the event’s impressive list of past performers and fellow digital-era music disruptors including Ty Dolla $ign, Bella Poarch, Yung Gravy, and BBNO$. Watch the performance HERE.

Blending the punchy riffs of J-rock, the immediacy of indie rock, and the raw edge of pop-punk, Good Kid has spent the past several years quietly building something larger than a typical band trajectory. Entirely independent, they’ve cultivated a fiercely participatory fan community, while establishing themselves as one of the most creator-friendly projects in modern guitar music.

By making their entire discography Content ID–free and DMCA–free, the band have empowered creators across Twitch, YouTube, and other platforms to use their songs without fear of takedowns, allowing the music to spread organically across gaming streams, animations, and online communities.

  • Rol3ert Reimagines Breakout Hit “(how could i be) honest?” with Korea’s DAUL & THAMA in New Cross-Border Collaboration!

Rol3ert Reimagines Breakout Hit “(how could i be) honest?” with Korea’s DAUL & THAMA in New Cross-Border Collaboration!

Rising Japanese singer-songwriter Rol3ert continues his rapid ascent globally and across Asia with the release of “(how could i be) honest? – DAUL mix (feat. THAMA),” a newly reimagined version of his breakout track, created in collaboration with Korean producer DAUL and acclaimed R&B artist THAMA.  Recently selected for Rolling Stone’s “Future 25” as one of 25 artists representing Japan, Rol3ert is quickly emerging as one of the country’s most promising new voices on the global stage.

Originally released in December 2025, “(how could i be) honest?” quickly gained global attention, landing on Spotify’s official playlists across 18 countries. Across Asia, the track saw strong regional traction, charting on viral charts in Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, earning heavy rotation on Singapore’s 987FM, and peaking at No.5 on Singapore’s Shazam charts. On Spotify, the song surpassed 500,000 streams within its first month, becoming Rol3ert’s fastest-growing release to date. Across his recent releases, including “(how could i be) honest?” and “savior,” user-generated content has continued to spread organically, amplifying his reach among younger listeners across the region.

This new version sees the track reconstructed rather than traditionally remixed—expanding its emotional and sonic identity across cultures. Featuring newly written Korean lyrics and vocals from THAMA, the song retains the emotional core of the original while introducing a new dimension through DAUL’s electronic production and THAMA’s distinct artistry. The result is a version that feels both familiar and entirely reimagined, bridging Japanese and Korean music sensibilities within a global pop context.

DAUL shares, “when I first heard the original track, what stood out most was the vocal melody. It has a strong hook that stays with you, and I felt the natural energy and dynamism of the band sound. Rather than drastically changing the song, I focused on preserving its emotional core and melody while expanding that energy through electronic elements. By reconstructing it around synthesizers and electronic drums, I aimed to create a denser, more three-dimensional soundscape.

With THAMA joining, the color of the track became even richer. The combination of Rol3ert and THAMA’s distinct styles, along with the production, creates a piece that reveals more depth the more you listen.”

THAMA adds, “the original track had a rock texture that I don’t usually work with, which made it feel very fresh. Rol3ert’s voice and melody were especially memorable—they reminded me of the emo rock bands I listened to growing up.

During production, I focused on preserving the tone, rhythm, and lyrical appeal that Rol3ert brings, while adding a new interpretation on top of that foundation. The synth-forward sound is a key element of this version. I’d also love for listeners to pay attention to the newly written first verse, which wasn’t in the original. I hope people enjoy hearing how the song transforms through my voice.”

Rol3ert reflects, “the main thing I focused on was creating something completely different while still inheriting the original’s charm—its slightly absurd, chaotic, and imperfect qualities in a good way. I referenced sounds from ’80s video games to bring in a bit of playfulness.

When I first heard DAUL’s demo, I was really happy to hear how that sense of playfulness was already embedded in the track. By combining that with THAMA’s voice and the addition of Korean lyrics—which was a completely new challenge for me—I think we were able to create something that feels like a different song, while still preserving what made the original special.”

Accompanying the release, a music video featuring Rol3ert and THAMA, filmed in Korea, further brings this cross-cultural collaboration to life. In parallel, Rol3ert has also unveiled a live performance video for “savior,” captured during his sold-out headline show Rol3ert Live “katachi” in Tokyo, offering a glimpse into the growing scale and energy of his live performances.

Further expanding his connection with fans, Rol3ert has also launched his official Discord community,[1]  creating a dedicated space for global listeners to engage, connect, and access exclusive content. He is also set to make his Singapore debut at Mediacorp’s Cloud 9 Festival on May 9, marking another key milestone as his presence continues to grow across Southeast Asia.

With momentum building across Japan, Southeast Asia, and Korea, Rol3ert continues to emerge as one of the region’s most compelling new voices—bridging cultures, languages, and sounds with a distinctly global perspective.

Kevin Montillano is set to release his newest single, “alon,” a reflective pop track that dives deep into self-doubt, emotional surrender, and the quiet strength found in trusting the unfolding path.

Written by Montillano himself, “alon” captures a personal journey of overcoming inner hesitation and learning to move with life’s uncertainties rather than against them. Built on a mid-tempo, introspective soundscape, the track mirrors the ebb and flow of emotions—fragile yet steady, uncertain yet hopeful.

    About the Song

At its core, “alon” explores how self-doubt can hold a person back, with growth beginning the moment you take that first step even in fear. With warm, atmospheric production, the track carries its central metaphor of floating through life’s waves, as heard in the line Sa alon tayo’y lulutang.”

“Never doubt yourself, and never let anyone tell you you’re not enough—even if that person is yourself,” Kevin shares.

With its release, “alon” adds to Montillano’s growing body of introspective work, positioning him as an artist drawn to emotional honesty and understated storytelling.

“alon” will be available on April 24, 2026 on all major streaming platforms.
