Steven Patrick Morrissey, known as Morrissey, is the main lyricist and vocalist of the iconic band, The Smiths. The Smiths is considered the most important alternative rock band to emerge from the British independent music scene in the 1980s, behind the hits Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want, Stop Me If You Think You’ve Heard This One Before, There Is a Light That Never Goes Out, the former song famously covered by Zooey Deschanel’s indie band She & Him and the latter song was featured in the soundtrack of (500) Days of Summer. English DJ Mark Ronson recomposed Stop Me If You Think You’ve Heard This One Before as a soulful disco track.

According to Scott Timberg, a critic from The LA Times, Morrissey “patented the template for modern indie rock, first as the frontman for seminal mope-pop band The Smiths and then during his ongoing… solo career.” He also goes on to say that the ‘90s Britpop movement and the emphasis on an English lineage of bands like Oasis, Blur and Pulp stemmed from The Smiths as well as the playful twist to the traditional notions of gender and sexuality of bands like Suede, Bloc Party and The Magnetic Fields.

Ang dami naman bla..bla…ni sir Ace.e!working k naman. ok lang yung ticket pricing ni Morrissey. Once in a life time lang naman mag concert ang ganyan caliber ni Morrissey. I consider him the God of New Romanitcs. Ang hirap sa Pinoy ang dami kalokohan may pang gimik sa chikas, toma or bar hopping. Kaya wala na save na money. Any walks of life naman ang fans ni Morrissey.Mag ipon kana ngayon para maka bili ka ng ticket. long live Metal, alternative & Pop rock.

What’s the difference between a SVIP ticket and a VIP ticket?
And is meet and greet included?

  4. John Squire says:

Everybody, can you just keep quiet and stop bashing each other on who’s the #1 Morrissey or Smiths fan. Just enjoy his concert and try not to be a wanker to each other. Just be glad that Steven is having his concert and giving you the nostalgia that you are craving.
And besides, if you want to be a true idol of 80’s Brithish music, then come and partake on my band’s upcoming concert in Asia. Sorry, you have to fly out of Manila to enjoy my music.

    John

Meron lang dalawang uri ng music genre…

    1. The Smiths/Morrissey Music
    2. Non-Smiths/Morrissey Music

    🙂

  10. New Waver of Marikina says:

Why Moz ticket are so expensive. Maybe Moz do what the WILD SWANS did when they tour in the Philippines last October 1, 2011. Ticket price were reasonable from 1,500 up to 4,000 thousands.

    • Greg says:

Dude, Morrissey/The Smiths are 100 times more popular and are legends in postpunk genre. Kung 1,500 ang pinakamura sa Wild Swans at The Smiths ay 3,700, that means 2,200 pesos lang ang difference. for once in a lifetime experience 2,200 is barya lang.
