For the first-ever K-Pop’s HALLYUween in the Philippines, singer, songwriter, and rapper CL is finally returning to Manila. CL was a member of the YG Entertainment South Korean girl group 2NE1. After the band split up in 2016, she later focused on her solo career. She continued to rule the global music industry with the release of her debut studio album, Alpha, in October 2021.

For 18 years, Epik High has been a recognized name in the field. This renowned K-hip-hop trio, which consists of Tablo, Mithra Jin, and DJ Tukutz, has sold out concerts all over the world, and their influence has spread beyond Korea. At the 2005 Korean Gold Disc Awards, Epik High won their first trophy for Best Hip Hop Artist. They released We’ve Done Something Beautiful, their 9th official album, in 2017.

Pentagon is a nine-member boy band that was created as a result of the survival program Pentagon Maker. The group made a successful debut on October 10, 2016, with their self-titled mini album. Over the years, they gained momentum and became one of the most talked-about KPop groups of their generation. Some of their songs include “Like This” and “Shine” — the latter of which gained popularity due to its catchy “hammer dance” choreography.

BM, J.Seph, Somin, and Jiwoo make up the coed Korean band KARD. They recorded a pre-debut song called “Oh NaNa” with Heo Youngji as a “Hidden Kard” before making their actual debut. In the 2017 Asia Artist Awards, their impressive debut earned them the Rookie Award. Jiwoo and Somin were chosen by Super Junior in 2018 for their song “Lo Siento.” KARD is presently touring North America as part of their WILD KARD Tour 2022.

Gaho is a Korean musician who also writes and produces music. He is a vocalist for the well-known hip-hop/R&B project group PLT from Planetarium Records. Gaho and his band Kave have performed songs by Rose, Harry Style, Blackpink, and many others, including “On The Ground,” “As It Was,” and “Lovesick Girls.”

DJ Soda, whose real name is Hwang So Hee, is a popular Korean DJ who rose to popularity in Asia with her collaboration with Walshy Fire named “Never Let You In”. The song topped the charts in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia. In 2019, she received the Culture Prize for the Indie Artist category at the 9th Korea Hallyu Awards.

Filipino boy group BGYO, formed by Star Hunt Academy, stands for “Becoming the change, Going further, You and I, Originally Filipino”.
