Grammy winner Bone Thugs-N-Harmony is scheduled to perform at the Mall Of Asia Arena on September 5, 2018 produced by Ovation Productions. The popular American hip-hop group worked their way into the music industry from the Glenville section of Cleveland, Ohio. They are best known for their fast-paced rapping style and harmonizing vocals. In 1997, the group was awarded the Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance with their song, “Tha Crossroads”. Since its conception in the early 1990s, the group has been honored with other numerous awards. The much-awaited Manila performance of Tower Of Power is finally happening September 7, 2018 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum to be mounted by Ovation Productions. The triple bill event also features Dennis Lambert and Kalapana.
Tower’s musical odyssey actually began in 1968 when Emilio Castillo met Stephen “Doc” Kupka in July of that year. When Doc auditioned during a band rehearsal at Emilio’s house, Emilio’s father called him into the kitchen and offered the following advice: “Hire that guy, he’s got something.” This was how Doc and his signature baritone sax came to be a major part of the band’s sound, and on August 13, 1968, Tower of Power, as we know them today, began playing gigs, and soon became very well known in the area.

Filipino fans waved their finger hearts proudly as global fashion retail brand Penshoppe brings not one, but two members of #TeamPenshoppe to the Philippines!
Sandara, who started her career in the Philippines before joining now-disbanded girl group 2NE1, and Nam Joo-Hyuk, best known for his roles in Korean dramas Habaek from Bride of the Water God, Han Yi An of Who Are You School 2015, Jung Joon Hyung of Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo, Prince Baek Ah of Scarlet Heart Ryeo and Kwon Eun Taek of Cheese in the Trap graced the runway wearing Penshoppe’s pre-holiday collection.
Prior to the event, Sandara Park and Nam Joo Hyuk got the chance to catch up with media as they answered a few questions at a press conference.
PENSHOPPE FANCON featuring Sandara Park and Nam Joo Hyuk featured special musical performances from DJ Tom Taus, Keiko Necesario, IV of Spades and, Club Penshoppe PH (Penshoppe’s local brand ambassadors) – Khalil Ramos, Maris Racal, Ronnie Alonte and Loisa Andalio.
And the fun did not stop there, the show also unveiled Penshoppe’s Pre-Holiday 2018 collection. A playful clash of old meets new, the collection was clearly a fashion led back-to-school range. It gave a sartorial edge that went beyond the books, remixed with sporty statement details – a new take on athletic dressing that is anything but unpolished.
The key pieces from Penshoppe’s Pre-Holiday 2018 collection featured relaxed tailoring in comfortable silhouettes, enhanced by nostalgic, interesting textures – tartans and checks, vertical stripes, statement slogans in print, patches or tatting finish, in rich, vibrant colors. Each ensemble was a head-to-toe moment that blended effortlessness with a dose of classic ivy league details.

The first ever Karpos Live show, Mix 1.1, held last June 15 was a manifestation of a pure live music experience – just music + you. A whopping full production, 90 minute set from both Reese Lansangan and Tom’s Story showcased their musical abilities to play and transform their songs to another level. The atmosphere during the show was intimate, different, but familiar in a sense of coming together as music lovers, making it truly a space for great music. With this remarkable first Karpos Live show, it can only get better from here.
