Sony Music Entertainment Philippines (SMEP) and Filipino singer-songwriter Benj Pangilinan have recently linked up with Rise Against Hunger Philippines (RAHP), an international hunger relief organization that distributes food and life-changing aid to the world’s most vulnerable, to support communities in Manila that are impacted by food insecurity and malnutrition.
This initiative is part of Sony Music Groupโs global โSeason of Givingโ campaign, where the company upholds its commitment to collaborating with partner organizations through a series of in-person events and charitable activities.
For this particular project, the international record label has collaborated with Rise Against Hunger Philippines in enacting programs that are designed to uplift the lives of many people through food aid and entertainment. In a collective statement, RAHP was all praises to Sony Music Philippines and Benj for spreading the holiday joy with the children this season of giving. โTheir dedication to give back not only makes this holiday season merrier for the kids but also makes our mission to achieve food security all the more possible.โ
The fast-rising recording star has recently joined the SMEP team through a day of volunteering and performances at the Better World Tondo community center, which functions as a food bank and feeding center. This is where RAHP holds food drives, and the AHA Learning Center manages an after-class studying program for disadvantaged kids.
Aside from providing relief and assistance to the beneficiaries, Benj performed two songs, including his current single, โDance Like You.โ

Benj shares, โWe were about to leave, and I just saw the guy selling, so I just thought to help out. I didnโt expect that a small act like that would have such a major impact on them. Iโm always happy to help.โ

This comes as part of Sony Music Groupโs global โSeason of Givingโ campaign, where the company and its artists are paying it forward to the countries in which the international music label operates. Across the world, SMG is supporting global organizations dedicated to providing aid for those facing food insecurity, homelessness and refugee support, as well as music industry relief and educational programs for communities impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
This year, the international music label has partnered with Reach Out and Feed Philippines for a feeding program that provides assistance and relief to households in highly urbanized areas such as Barangay Damayang Lagi in Quezon City. Sony Music has been partners with them since last year, where they provided food aid, along with pop-rock band, NOBITA, to local communities impacted by the pandemic.
As reported by Reach Out and Feed Philippines, the community-wide initiative has supported more than 100,000 individuals to date.

Today, global superstar Dua Lipa has returned with โHoudiniโ โ the highly anticipated track introducing the beginning of a new chapter following her 2020 smash Future Nostalgia. The track is out today alongside its official music video, which you can watch here.
“Houdini” kickstarts the narrative thread that weaves its way through Duaโs upcoming project. Dua notes that โHoudini,โ โembodies that 4 a.m. feeling when the night is coming to a close and you’re a bit sweaty, but you just don’t want the party to end.โ The official music video, directed by Manu Cossu with cinematographer Andrรฉ Chemetoff, sees Dua post-rehearsal in a dance hall, revising her choreography under fluorescent lights. HORI7ON moves on to the 2023 AAA Popularity Award final round of voting.
The preliminary voting for the 2023 AAA Popularity Awards was held from October 14 for 16 days through the Idol Champ app and HORI7ON ranked 4th for the male singer division. For the male singer division, the candidates included a total of 106 solo artists and groups including BTS, SB19, and ZEROBASEONE. HORI7ON received 47,903 votes – a 3.2% voting rate – and advanced to the final round.
Among the candidates for the male singer division, HORI7ON received the most votes among all the Filipino artists proving to be the top idol group in the Philippines. A particular note for this 2023 AAA is that it is set to be held in Manila Philippines, raising anticipation whether the members of HORI7ON would be able to win the Popularity Award at the largest music awards of Asia in their home country.
This 2023 AAA Popularity Award will be chosen 100% by fan votes and the top 30 groups who received the most votes in the preliminary voting will be nominated as the final candidates for the final voting. The final voting will begin on November 14, Tuesday 10 AM until November 30, Thursday.

The Tonyยฎ and Olivier award-winning musical has been seen by 38 million people worldwide, staged in 32 countries, in over 350 cities, and in 15 different languages for the past 34 years.
A retelling of Giacomo Pucciniโs classic opera, Madame Butterfly, Miss Saigon moves the love story to 1970s Vietnam. The audience follows a young Vietnamese woman named Kim as she navigates the chaos of Saigon during the Vietnam War, falls in love with an American G.I. named Chris, and embarks on an extraordinary three-year quest for reunion, all while harboring a heart-wrenching secret.
Miss Saigon has music by Claude-Michel Schรถnberg with lyrics by Richard Maltby Jr. and Alain Boublil, adapted from original French lyrics by Alain Boublil, with additional lyrics by Michael Mahler. The new production is directed by Laurence Connor with musical staging by Bob Avian and additional choreography by Geoffrey Garratt. The production design is by Totie Driver and Matt Kinley based on an original concept by Adrian Vaux; costume design by Andreane Neofitou; lighting design by Bruno Poet; projections by Luke Halls; sound design by Mick Potter; and orchestrations by William David Brohn.
