The Itchyworms: Beer o Pag-ibig? Official Launch promises to showcase their refreshing mix of brew variants to the general public for the first time, while enjoying the live performances of Ebe Dancel, Ciudad, Blaster, The Revisors, and The Itchyworms.

The special event will take place at the 123 Block on July 13, 2024, from 6 pm onwards. Aside from performances, there will also be games, booths, and special on-ground activities prepared by its co-organizers GNN Entertainment Productions and The Itchyworms themselves!

The two variants include BEER, a light and clean-tasting blonde ale with a balance of tropical fruit flavor and the right amount of maltiness; and PAG-IBIG, a hazy, cloudy, and flowery beer that is sweet and bitter at the same time.

  • An O, Wow O, Wow Day with Oishi and TWICE

An O, Wow O, Wow Day with Oishi and TWICE

Oishi and TWICE teamed up to give Filo Onces a fun and flavorful day at the TWICE x Oishi
Snacktacular Fan Meet, held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on June 1, 2024.

    Twice x Oishi

Last September 2023, the beloved Filipino snack brand Oishi unveiled their partnership with
international K-pop sensation TWICE, through a 60-second video reenacting the music video of
their 2018 hit What is Love? and featuring four of Oishi’s most loved snacks: Spicy Oishi Prawn
Crackers, Pillows, Potato Fries, and Miggos.

This 2024, they took their collaboration a step further, first with O, Wow O, Wow Bag, which
includes Oishi snacks and an Oishi x TWICE photocard. This was followed by the TWICE x
Oishi Snacktacular Fan Bag, which Onces could purchase for a special edition Oishi x TWICE
selca photocard, a card sleeve or a poster, and most importantly, a chance to win tickets to the
    fan meet.

TWICE answers burning, burning questions at the Press Conference

The O, Wow O, Wow day started off with an exclusive press conference, where members Mina,
Chaeyoung, Nayeon, Sana, Tzuyu, Jeongyeon, Dahyun, Momo, and Jihyo recounted all the
delicious Oishi snacks they tried during the ad shoot, and their favorite moments from their
recent READY TO BE tour, including hearing Onces from all over the world singing their songs
in Korean, and previous visits in Manila. “A memorable O, Wow! O, Wow! moment for me is
when we first visited Manila in 2019,” said youngest member Tzuyu. “The passionate support
and love we received from Filipino Onces was very overwhelming and touching for us all.”

The members also talked about the Filipino food they’ve tried, giving a special shoutout to their
favorite Oishi snack. “Miggos is our favorite one! Even when we were in Korea, we kept asking
for more Miggos,” shared leader Jihyo.

When asked why they decided to partner with Oishi, Dahyun said, “Firstly, all the members love
snacks! Secondly, Oishi is a brand that represents the Philippines, and is a famous brand here.
We wanted to collaborate with Oishi to create a good synergy with snacks in the Philippines.”

TWICE and Filipino Onces enjoy a Snacktacular afternoon of games and prizes

Later in the day, Filipino Onces gathered for an afternoon filled with games, prizes, and fancy
moments with TWICE. Before the main program began, special raffles and a random play
dance challenge were held for fans, giving lucky Onces exclusive gifts from Oishi and TWICE, as well as the opportunity to participate in the event segments.

Throughout the fan meet, TWICE members showed off their charming and playful personalities,
which have drawn Onces to them throughout their career. Some of the games included Make
Your Own Snack, which allowed the members to customize and name their own snack that
were given to lucky raffle winners; Snack Shack, where the members showed off their
competitive side working in teams to bag as many Oishi snacks as they could within 60
seconds; and the O, Wow! O, Wow! Flavor Remix, a play on random dance challenge, where
members added their own spicy, sweet, cheesy or corny flavor to their iconic choreography.

Finally, the time came for TWICE and Onces to play games together. First was the TWICE x
Oishi Dance Challenge, where pre-selected fans danced to their favorite TWICE song without
music, prompting the members to guess the song.

Closing out the game portion of the program was Cuckoo Catcher, where the members
competed in sub-units to shoot as many balls into the Oishi mascot Cuckoo Bird’s stomach.

It was not just all fun and games, as it was time for Onces to make TWICE feel special. To
celebrate members Dahyun and Tzuyu’s birthdays, Filipino Onces sang their hearts out in
Tagalog and Korean to share their well wishes for both. Onces also surprised their favorite girl
group with a special fan video, recapping their favorite O, Wow! O, Wow! moments throughout
TWICE’s career. Wrapping up the event, TWICE thanked their Filipino fans for once again
lighting up the arena with love for the group. SVIP ticket holders were also surprised by TWICE
as they came back on stage to personally hand the signed posters they won.

“We love that we have another opportunity to meet Filipino Onces, and be introduced to more
snacks, thanks to Oishi,” said Nayeon. From their first greeting to their final goodbye, the
TWICE x Oishi Snacktacular Fan Meet was indeed filled with one in a million, O, Wow! O, Wow!
    moments.

Complete the full set of 11 special selca photocards, 3 poster designs and 4 photocard sleeves
when you buy the limited edition Twice x Oishi Snacktacular Fan Bag, available in all Oishi’s
official online stores and participating supermarkets and groceries nationwide.

As a post-Valentine’s treat, Park Hyungsik and the promoters not only delivered one of the best and most organized fan meets in recent history; in order to show their immense love for the actor, his legions of fans made the event more meaningful and impactful by choosing to donate to an organization known for its support of children’s rights as their official “fan project.”

“Save the Children Philippines expresses its sincerest gratitude to Park Hyungsik, along with his fans, the organizers, promoters, and sponsors of “SIKcret Time” in Manila for choosing our organization as the official beneficiary of the event,” said George De La Rama, Director of Advocacy, Campaigns, Communications and Media of Save the Children Philippines.

“This is the first fan project to ever actively support Filipino children in need and for that we are forever thankful.”

De La Rama recalls that in his long history of watching Korean concerts, fan meets, and events since 2006, this is the first time he encountered a famous Hallyu actor who willingly offered his support to help Filipino children most impacted by inequality and discrimination.

    A DREAM COME TRUE
Born with a vision impairment, Eshell Rose Duyan was one of the thousands of attendees of “SIKcret Time” in Manila. She is a member of Future Vision Home in the City of Taguig – one of the 12 organizations of persons with disabilities that Save the Children supports through rights-based development and child participation.

“For me, the highlight was meeting Park Hyungsik in person. He inspired me when he told his story that he wanted to be a police officer when he was young, but fate eventually led him to become a famous actor instead. I dream of becoming a model or flight attendant, but I know that with mycondition, it may be impossible. However, like Hyungsik oppa, I want to believe that God will provide what’s best for me,” said Eshell, 20.

The donation from “SIKcret Time” in Manila will help support Save the Children’s initiatives in securing Filipino children’s rights and ensuring their continued learning, survival, and protection.
“To Park Hyungsik, please continue your good work. I wish for you to come back to Manila and for all
of us to meet again. Thank you also to Save the Children and the event organizers MQLIVE, P&STUDIO and TONZ as well as the fan project lead PUBLICITYASIA for giving me an opportunity to meet Hyungsik oppa and for being an instrument for people to know our organization, Future Vision,” said Eshell.

    PURPOSE DRIVEN
Meanwhile, for MQuest Ventures Inc. President and CEO, Jane Basas, the maiden event of MQLIVE was yet another opportunity to serve the Filipino audience with passion and purpose.
“We are grateful to Park Hyungsik, P&STUDIO and TONZ for giving us the opportunity to make the Filipino SIKcrets happy,” said Basas. “I would also like to thank Save the Children Philippines for giving us the opportunity to support their cause. I hope this is the first of many more advocacy-led partnerships between Save the Children and MQUEST.”

joem’s “Nakaraan” official music video might just be the push you need if you’re still thinking if whether to watch Enrique Gil’s “I Am Not Big Bird” comeback movie.

While “Nakaraan” is your perfect soundtrack while riding on a bus and dramatically staring out the window— the official music video teases fans of the antics of Enrique’s comedic quartet (Nikko Natividad, Red Ollero, Pepe Herera, plus the King of the Gil himself) and their colorfully complicated “iyak-tawa” experiences in Bangkok. Enrique is also seen in tear-jerker scenes in the music video, because you know, moving on is not linear.

The song has been making waves since its release on February 9, captivating fans who attended the movie’s promotional mall tour where joem gets to perform “Nakaraan” in front of thousands of viewers. This was followed by massive airplay from Manila’s largest radio stations, full-blown media pick-ups, TV, and physical guestings. On February 13, joem also had an appearance at the “I Am Not Big Bird” premiere night. These are definitely the most exciting times for a young artist. The future does shine bright for joem.
