Pacers and Rockets to play preseason game at MOA Arena
“This is just the beginning” as Carlo Singson said the NBA will keep doing more in the Philippines.
For the first time ever, preseason of NBA will be held in the Philippines only at Mall of Asia Arena on October 10, 2013. NBA Commissioner David Stern announced in a video message ““I am thrilled to announce that the NBA will have its first preseason game in Manila between the Indiana Pacers and the Houston Rockets”
According Mr. Scott Levy (Senior Vice President & Managing Director of NBA Asia) this will be the entire NBA experience. Full roster, coaches, dance squads, and mascots. He also added that they’re looking for opportunites to do more (on having a regular season game here in the Philippines). NBA commissioner David Stern mentioned Pinoy NBA fans as the most passionate fans in the world.
