The Night Agent, based on the novel by Matthew Quirk, is “a sophisticated, character-based, action-thriller centering on a low-level FBI Agent who works in the basement of the White House, manning a phone that never rings — until the night that it does, propelling him into a fast moving and dangerous conspiracy that ultimately leads all the way to the Oval Office.”

Shawn Ryan, the creator and showrunner of The Night Agent, released the following statement: “The last week has been a whirlwind as we’ve finally been able to share The Night Agent with the world. It’s been incredibly rewarding to witness the show’s positive reception from viewers, and it’s a testament to the hard work of everyone involved, from the cast and crew to Sony Pictures Television and Netflix. Netflix’s Vice President of Drama Series, Jinny Howe, said, “We’re proud to see The Night Agent deliver a blockbuster performance and become instantaneously welcomed throughout the world.” The reception has been so positive that the production team is eager to get started on Season 2. With a superb cast including Gabriel Basso, Luciane Buchanan, and Hong Chau, Shawn Ryan’s spy thriller has become a phenomenon, and we’re here to give fans more of the action and intrigue they love.
