Finally, after nearly three years of waiting, Stranger Things Season 4 is just around the corner, with Volume 1 airing exclusively on Netflix on May 27.
Philippine Concerts was fortunate to catch the first episode of the highly anticipated season during the special screening at the Power Plant Cinema 4 last May 20 — thanks to Netflix! Members of the media were allowed to release spoiler-free reactions, and so we are sharing them with you!
Before the attendees got to the exclusive screening of the first episode, we were welcomed with a Stranger Things-inspired photo booth. And we can definitely feel the upside-down vibe during the event.
The one-hour and fifteen-minute-long episode is more character-focused and sets the stage for what is to come in Season 4. Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 1 episode 1 showed elements that will move the story forward in terms of the upside-down as it focuses on the development of the characters who try to move on from the events of the past. Overall, the storyline and flow, as witnessed in its first episode, will give bigger stakes for the most action-packed and scariest season of Stranger Things.
Check out some reactions below to pump you up for Volume 1 on May 27, exclusively on Netflix (plus, catch our full review this weekend):
Stranger Things 4 Vol.1 Episode 1 was thrilling, comedic, and mindfucking!!!
I can't say any spoilers but expect both the best and the worst. Oh and *** is ***!!!
Had an opportunity to watch the first episode of #StrangerThings4, no doubt that this season will be the scariest, totally different vibe from season 3. Can't wait to watch its entirety. Thank you @Netflix_PH

#StrangerThings4 shines with its darkest & most ambitious season yet. With expansive episodes that bring us deeper into its world while increasing both scares & nostalgic elements, it makes for a less bingeable but more rewarding season that will please the series’ biggest fans pic.twitter.com/Qt2a87aA3e
#StrangerThings4 is the most interconnected season yet with memorable journeys for Eleven, Hopper, Steve, and Max in particular. Also, you shouldn’t be afraid of the runtime. If anything, it should make you excited for the twists and turns to come! @Stranger_Things@netflixpic.twitter.com/7Qhgv7FQio
Do not miss Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 1 on May 27, exclusively on Netflix! Raise your expectations and be prepared for a thrilling season you have never experienced before.
Lara Jean and Peter Kavinsky stans, it’s your time to rise! The stars of the well-loved and highly-popular Netflix film To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, Lana Condor and Noah Centineo, will be coming to the Philippines for a special fan meeting next month.
Netflix got everyone feeling all excited and in love when it announced, through its social media platforms, that the two actors will meet their fans on February 15 at the Activity Center 2, Glorietta, Ayala Center in Makati at 5 p.m. for the promotion of the highly-awaited sequel, To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You, which starts streaming on Netflix on February 12.
It’s a free fan event on a first come, first served basis. You can also join the conversation and express your excitement using the hashtag #TATBPhilippines.
Lana Condor and Noah Centineo teamed up to bring to life the lead characters of Jenny Han’s New York Times best selling novel, To All The Boys I’ve LovedBefore, Lara Jean Covey and Peter Kavinsky. The film adaptation was released on Netflix in August 2018, receiving an approval rating of 97 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.
In December 2018, Netflix announced that a sequel film will be developed with Condor and Centineo reprising their roles. Filming for P.S. I Still Love You started in March 2019 and ended in May the same year. The upcoming film will introduce Jordan Fisher as John Ambrose McClaren.
And excitement is truly high for the next To All The Boys film as the trailer, which came out in mid-December last year, has raked in more than 7.1 million views on YouTube alone.
Oh boy! Manila finally got the luck to see Henry Cavill up close last December 12, Thursday, during his visit to Manila to promote his new series for Netflix, The Witcher. Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, the series’ show-runner, was with him from the press conference to meeting their incredible Manila fans.
The two were very generous and game to sign a lot of posters with Henry even signing Superman items as he walked towards the black carpet.
We listed our ultimate fan-favorite moments during the event:
We were able to see him in flesh and up close! (Thanks to Netflix for making it possible!)
We got to know that he was a huge PC gamer and a fan of the novel long before he can read it himself. What a sweet surprise that this mutated monster hunter can relate to what he is and will be on the show.
Lauren’s answer when asked about how she approaches each project (that come her way) on a woman’s perspective:
I never think of myself as a female writer. I’m just a writer trying to solve stories. What’s important to me is to make sure that the stories that we’re telling about women are as dimensional and interesting as the ones were telling about men. It’s not about women being appropriate. It’s not about men being more appropriate. We’re making sure that all these characters are fully fleshed out.
That Geralt has indeed soft spots! He is for love which fans will get to see on the show
That the show will be the next big thing to look out for.
The souvenirs! What better way to commemorate the show than having to bring home memorabilia — a shirt, a signature wolf medallion, and a signed poster!
The fact that Henry went an extra mile for his audition and didn’t stop waiting, making follow up, and phone calls for the most coveted role.
Thank you, Netflix! We are excited to know all about The Witcher and see how beautiful you guys will transform it will from a novel to series. The Witcher premieres on Netflix on December 20th.
