Wednesday is officially coming back to Netflix.

Tim Burton’s spin-off of the classic Addams Family franchise, which is a hit show on Netflix, has just been given a second season. Since its premiere on November 23, when all eight episodes of the first season were made available to stream, the show has quickly become one of the streaming giant’s most popular shows.

They put out a video on January 6 in which Jenna Ortega says, over clips from season one and fan events, “Over the past few weeks I’ve been hunted, haunted, and mimicked millions of times across the internet. It’s been pure torture. Thank you.”

Netflix said, “More misery is coming” to the tune of Lady Gaga’s “Bloody Mary,” which TikTok Wednesday fans prefer to use in their dance tributes over The Cramps’ “Goo Goo Muck.” They also said, “The global phenomenon will return for season two.”

Rising star, Jenna Ortega, plays Wednesday Addams on Wednesday. She’s the famous daughter of Morticia and Gomez Addams. The horror comedy series focuses on Wednesday’s first year as a student at Nevermore Academy, where she strives to master her developing psychic ability while attempting to solve a supernatural mystery that has plagued the Addams family for decades.

The series broke the record for the most hours viewed in a week for an English-language TV series on Netflix – not once, but twice – when it debuted in the #1 spot with a record breaking 341.23M hours viewed, and again in its second week with a staggering 411.29M hours viewed.

  • Netflix renews The Sandman for season 2

Netflix renews The Sandman for season 2

Three months after holding the number one spot on Netflix, the return of the dark fantasy series is finally going to happen.

The Sandman, which was produced and distributed by Netflix, was unquestionably one of the most anticipated works of 2022. The hugely acclaimed and influential comic book series authored by Neil Gaiman served as the inspiration for the television show, which made its debut on August 5th. The Sandman was not quickly renewed despite the acclaim of critics and the great reaction it had upon its initial premiere. Nevertheless, the streaming service Netflix has just announced that the show would continue for a second season.

The streaming giant made the announcement on Twitter with a brief teaser video that showed Morpheus’s iconic mask emerging from a bed of sand.

There has been no announcement made regarding the release date of the second season or the total number of episodes that it will contain.

On the other hand, it would appear like an agreement has been reached. And this is fantastic news because The Sandman, which has been in development hell for decades, has finally emerged as the best adaptation we could have hoped for.

Morpheus, portrayed by Tom Sturridge, is the main character of the Sandman series. Morpheus is the personification of dreams and the ruler of the realm known as “The Dreaming.” After escaping a century-long captivity, Morpheus embarks on a mission to retrieve stolen personal artifacts and bring his realm, which had fallen into disrepair in his absence, back to its former glory. In addition to the mesmerizing performance that Tom Sturridge gave as Morpheus/Dream, the rest of the cast, led by Kyo Ra/Vanesu Samunyai as Rose Walker, Vivienne Acheampong as Lucienne, Boyd Holbrook as the Corinthian, and Patton Oswalt as Matthew the Raven, gave outstanding and enigmatical turns as well. This allowed the series to shine brighter than it otherwise would have. Other notable cast members included Mason Alexander Park as Desire, Jenna Coleman as Johanna Constantine, Gwendoline Christie as Lucifer Morningstar, David Thewlis as John Dee, Kirby Howell-Baptiste as Death, and David Thewlis as John Dee. Other notable cast members included Mason Alexander Park as Desire.

Jason Momoa transports us into his fantasy realm in the Slumberland trailer.

    IT’S TIME TO DREAM ON!

This holiday season Jason Momoa invites you on an adventure into the world of dreams. “Slumberland”comes to Netflix on November 18.

The new trailer of “Slumberland” has been released on Netflix. We’ll see the land where such a wild and crazy dream has come true.

In Slumberland, Marlow Barkley’s Nemo and Jason Momoa’s Flip go on an extraordinary voyage in a dreamworld. Nemo’s tranquil childhood in the Pacific Northwest is upended when her father, Peter (Kyle Chandler), dies at sea and she moves in with her well-meaning but socially awkward uncle, Phillip (Chris O’Dowd). By day, she struggles with her new school and schedule, but by night, she meets Flip, a rough-around-the-edges bandit who becomes her sidekick and guide thanks to a secret map to Slumberland. Nemo and Flip go on an extraordinary journey through dreams and nightmares, during which Nemo hopes to be reunited with her father.

Slumberland is based on a series of comic strips by Winsor McCay called Little Nemo in Slumberland. These strips were first published at the start of the 20th century. The only big change that the trailer shows so far is that the main character goes from being a little boy to a little girl, which, in a story about childhood dreams and imagination, doesn’t mean much. Along with Barkley and Momoa, the story also stars Kyle Chandler, India de Beaufort, Chris O’Dowd, Humberly González, and Tonya Cornelisse.

Slumberland is directed by Francis Lawrence (I Am Legend, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire & Mockingjay) and produced by Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, David Ready, and Francis Lawrence. It was written by David Guion and Michael Handelman (Night at the Museum; Secret of the Tomb). Weruche Opia, India De Beaufort, and Humberly Gonzalez are also featured in the movie.

Netflix premieres Slumberland on November 18. You can watch the new trailer below:

Philippine Concerts was fortunate to catch the first episode of the highly anticipated season during the special screening at the Power Plant Cinema 4 last May 20 — thanks to Netflix! Members of the media were allowed to release spoiler-free reactions, and so we are sharing them with you!

Before the attendees got to the exclusive screening of the first episode, we were welcomed with a Stranger Things-inspired photo booth. And we can definitely feel the upside-down vibe during the event.

The one-hour and fifteen-minute-long episode is more character-focused and sets the stage for what is to come in Season 4. Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 1 episode 1 showed elements that will move the story forward in terms of the upside-down as it focuses on the development of the characters who try to move on from the events of the past. • Henry Cavill Bewitches Filipino Fans In Manila Visit For Netflix’s “The Witcher”

Henry Cavill Bewitches Filipino Fans In Manila Visit For Netflix’s “The Witcher”

Oh boy! Manila finally got the luck to see Henry Cavill up close last December 12, Thursday, during his visit to Manila to promote his new series for Netflix, The Witcher. Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, the series’ show-runner, was with him from the press conference to meeting their incredible Manila fans.

The two were very generous and game to sign a lot of posters with Henry even signing Superman items as he walked towards the black carpet.

We listed our ultimate fan-favorite moments during the event:

    • We were able to see him in flesh and up close! (Thanks to Netflix for making it possible!)
    • We got to know that he was a huge PC gamer and a fan of the novel long before he can read it himself. What a sweet surprise that this mutated monster hunter can relate to what he is and will be on the show.
    • Lauren’s answer when asked about how she approaches each project (that come her way) on a woman’s perspective:

I never think of myself as a female writer. I’m just a writer trying to solve stories. What’s important to me is to make sure that the stories that we’re telling about women are as dimensional and interesting as the ones were telling about men. It’s not about women being appropriate. It’s not about men being more appropriate. We’re making sure that all these characters are fully fleshed out.

    • That Geralt has indeed soft spots! He is for love which fans will get to see on the show
    • That the show will be the next big thing to look out for.
    • The souvenirs! What better way to commemorate the show than having to bring home memorabilia — a shirt, a signature wolf medallion, and a signed poster!
    • The fact that Henry went an extra mile for his audition and didn’t stop waiting, making follow up, and phone calls for the most coveted role.

Thank you, Netflix! We are excited to know all about The Witcher and see how beautiful you guys will transform it will from a novel to series. The Witcher premieres on Netflix on December 20th.
