And this song is soooo deep but still everyone can still understand her message from this song that’s how great Christina Perri is! I really want to see her and want to hear her voices LIVE!

   My all-time favorite song of Christina Perri is ‘A Thousand Years’ because that was the song that was playing when my cousin got married and she chose me to be her maid-of-honor. It was one of my unforgettable moments because I have boys as my siblings and my cousin’s the closest I have to a sister.

   Christina perrie has been an inspiration for me, The song I loved the most was ‘A thousand years’ not because it was one of the song in twilight but it was sang on one of my most memorable day, ever. So whenever I hear this song, I get really emotional and I hope I’ll see her live.

   The reason why I like “Human” so much is not only because of its vocal quality, but for the meaning of the song. I can relate to the depth of the lyrics and what Christina Perri is trying to convey in her message.

   In the beginning, you see impossible and super human feats.

   I can hold my breath,
   I can bit my tongue,
   I can stay awake for days..

   As we all know, we can’t stay awake for days as well as hold our breath forever. It’s as if she’s trying to be superhuman.

   The words further go on to state that she’s not really wanting to be who she’s not.

   I can fake a smile,
   I can force a laugh,
   I can dance and play the part,
   If that’s what you ask..

   This means that she’s willing to do all these things just for that person. But sometimes, she can only be herself and who she is. She’s only being real.

   And this is where the chorus comes in to play, which is very strong and extremely moving. Quite emotional, too.

   But I’m only human,
   And I bleed when I fall down,
   I’m only human,
   And I crash and I break down..

   Here Christina Perri is simply saying that she’s human and feels pain and falls like everyone else. It can’t be expected that she perform and do as she’s told to do all the time.

   Many will say this song is about love. It is, but it means so much more than that. It can mean a multitude of things. It can deal with basic emotions not dealing with love, but others in every day live. The ability to perform, the ability to be “the best,” etc.
