    This time around, the song revolves around a striking, soulful, and soaring solo vocal from Emily Armstrong. Icy keys flicker over a glitchy beat backed by guitar as her voice rings out on the refrain, “All we are is talking over each other.” The cinematic video – directed by Joe Hahn and shot on location in Seoul – follows the intense dramatic arc of a relationship literally about to crash, capturing the turbulent emotional ebb and flow of the track itself.

    LINKIN PARK ignited this season with “The Emptiness Machine”. It has exploded as the #1 rock song in the country and the biggest rock song of 2024.     Marit Larsen and Marion Ravn, who shot to international fame in the early 2000s, are returning to the stage to celebrate their legacy. 

    “It was never a question of where we’d start our tour if we ever reunited – Asia was always the first choice. Some of our best memories are from there.” says Marion Ravn.

    2025 marks the 25th anniversary of M2M’s best-selling album «Shades of Purple”, and the fans of the duo have continued to listen to their music and begged for a reunion for a long time. Following their split in 2002, both Marit Larsen and Marion Ravn pursued successful solo careers, but the duo never performed together again – until now.

    Chanyeol of EXO returned home to perform for his Filipino EXO-L at the Araneta Coliseum in the Philippines on October 19 in the 2024 CHANYEOL LIVE TOUR: 都市風景 (City-scape) IN MANILA. As always, EXO-L packed the venue, illuminating it for EXO with cheers of pride and Eribong shining brightly.

    From his first to the final bow, Chanyeol captivated the audience with a live band, showcasing his incredible guitar prowess, captivating ments and stories, and strong performances that reminded us why he will always be our Cherry Prince. With their fervent applause for their four-leaf clover, their brightest star, EXO-L elevated the experience as the concert flowed with so much excitement.

    With “Back Again” and “Good Enough”, and their exquisitely diverse vibes, the singer-actor opened the event, showcasing multiple facets of himself as a performer. His stage presence was stunning as Chanyeol’s magnetism makes him a standout performer whether he’s performing with EXO or individually. He is not afraid to share and display his talents with the public. His generosity and willingness to share his talents are demonstrated by the four shows he has performed in the Philippines alone since 2023. And, each time, he introduced something fresh and displayed a better Park Chanyeol.

    The opening was concluded with thunderous applause from EXO-L. Chanyeol formally welcomed everyone to the 2024 CHANYEOL LIVE TOUR: 都市風景 (City-scape) IN MANILA with the words, “What’s up, Manila!” He went on to say, “Long time no see! I’m Chanyeol. Good to see you again.” Indeed, it is always pleasant to see him return to the local performance scene with his fans giving him the most enthusiastic applause each time. Chanyeol said the full house that greeted him was “unbelievable,” but in all honesty, it was to be expected because there is no question that EXO and EXO-L can fill any venue for every member.

    After his powerful City-Scape opening, he sang a mashup of his famous OST with Punch from the Korean drama Goblin, “Stay With Me,” his OST for She’s My Type, “minimal warm,” and his single, “Yours,” featuring Raiden, Lee Hi, and Changmo. He went on to perform his SM Station Season 4 single, “Tomorrow”. The venue reverberated with lovely harmony as the fans sang along. Chanyeol remarked, “You guys are good singers,” During the singer-actor’s guitar solo, the audience sang “Sweet Child of Mine” in a truly Filipino moment. Chanyeol played “Hotel California” by Eagles and “Basket Case” by Green Day in addition to “Sweet Child of Mine.” The audience was equally thrilled by his band’s introductions, as we heard “Lupang Hinirang” played on the keyboard.

    Chanyeol brought EXO-SC back to the Philippine concert stage with performances of “Telephone” and “Just Us 2” from the respective albums, 1 Billion Views and What A Life. With an adorable start, the singer-actor got everyone smiling and saying “Hasta La Vista”. This perfect weekend with him made us “Ease Up” so that it felt like it could last forever. He then rounded out the set with EXO-SC’s “Nothin’”. Collaborating with EXO-L during the dance, our four-leaf clover delivered “Clover” to the concert stage.

    His exchanges and banter with fans, including teaching them the four-leaf clover moves, fervently showcasing his love for PENSHOPPE, and sharing stories about the pictures he shot during his “city-scape” to Manila, were too cute for words.

    Our kababayan, Pogi Chanyeol, undoubtedly made us swoon with his performance of “Raining in Manila” by Lola Amour. His rendition of “Raining In Manila” was so amazing that we couldn’t stop listening to it. We are still reeling from the memorable cover performance when Chanyeol did an EXO medley and had us cheering with nostalgia and tears in our eyes.

    The Big Dome saw performances of “Lotto,” “Tempo,” “Monster,” “Obsession,” and “Growl”. Then, on the Philippine stage, he made the debut of EXO’s pre-release single, “Hear Me Out,” from their seventh studio album, Exist.

    After taking a little respite and returning with a guitar and a leather jacket, Chanyeol treated EXO-L to “Black Out” before delivering “SSFW”. The Cherry Prince, who is always the giving performer, performed an encore performance of “Raining In Manila”.

    “I wanna say thank you so much to all of you for coming tonight. Because of you, every process from the preparation until this moment has been so much fun. Next time I come to the Philippines, I will prepare a new song,” he said and jokingly added, “No more Hawak Kamay.”

    Chanyeol, EXO-L’s Forever Peter Pan, provided hope with his song “I’m On Your Side Too” with a promise to always be on our sides. He returned for the encore, serenading the Philippines with EXO’s “Just As Usual”. “Thank you for an encore. Maganda,” he remarked with a bow to the audience. He reassured his fans that he would look after himself and reminded them to do the same.

    “If you guys call me back, I’ll fly anytime to be here. Any time… You guys are my only four-leaf clover. Today, I was really, really happy.”

    Cebu aims to increase tourism through concerts and other events

    Cebu is increasingly becoming a prominent destination for concerts and other live events, attracting both local and international artists, including LANY. The band is known for their dreamy pop sound and often includes various cities in their tours, and Cebu is one of the popular stops. It was their first time in the Queen City of the South to hold a solo headline show.

    In the week of October 13th to 15th, 2024, LANY’s three sold-out shows at the Waterfront Hotel and Casino gave a much-needed boost to Cebu’s tourism. Over the course of three nights, the concerts drew close to 10,000 fans, which is good for businesses in the areas. The hotel where LANY performed made a lot of bookings from the fans. Additionally, it has had an effect on the restaurants and other businesses in the surrounding area. This is one of the goals of the Tourism Promotions Board in partnership with Live Nation Philippines—to increase the number of visitors to Cebu by becoming a global entertainment hub. This is because Filipinos have a strong affinity for live music, and Cebu is already a popular destination for international tourists. It’s worth mentioning that tourists can easily reach Cebu through Mactan International Airport.

    The LANY tarpaulins welcomed me as soon as I arrived at the Mactan International Airport. Undoubtedly, it was one of the biggest live events in the Queen City of South this year.

    Having never been to Cebu before, I was looking forward to not only watching LANY but also exploring the city’s tourism attractions and trying out its many cuisines. The travel time to our destination at TOPS Cebu took us close to thirty minutes. There is a spectacular view of Cebu City from the Tops Cebu lookout observation deck. The well-known attraction has also been enhanced by the addition of a number of dining establishments that cater to the gastronomic requirements of the guests, as well as a large number of parking spaces. One hundred pesos is required to enter the premises, which is good, and I am aware that it is for the purpose of ensuring the place is maintained and cared for.

    It took us a little more than five minutes to drive to Temple of Leah from TOPS Cebu. The love that a husband had for his late wife is beautifully expressed and honored in this amazing tribute. Additionally, it is a museum, a library, and an art gallery in addition to having a Greco-Roman architectural design. Moreover, the temple provides a breathtaking panorama of the city of Cebu.

    Despite the fact that their schedules were extremely full, LANY’s Paul Klein and Jake Goss were able to immerse themselves in the culture of the region during daytime.     Philippines’ Pop Diva Kuh Ledesma performed the second edition of her “ABC’s” last October 18th. It was a remarkable blend of nostalgia and spiritual upliftment, showcasing her extensive repertoire and deep faith. The event drew a full house audience at the Music Museum on a Friday night, all eager to experience her iconic hits and covers.

    Kuh captivated the crowd with her stunning vocals, opening with Céline Dion’s “I’m Alive,” followed by her iconic hit “I Think I’m in Love” and “Love Will Keep Us Alive” by the Eagles.
    Kuh’s vocal prowess was evident throughout the concert. She effortlessly transitioned between upbeat songs and powerful ballads, demonstrating her versatility as an artist. Her rendition of “How Did You Know,” a song composed by Cecile Azarcon, was particularly moving, highlighting her emotional depth and ability to convey feelings through music.

    Kuh introduced guest David Young, a nineteen-year-old rising star with a powerful voice; he performed APO Hiking Society’s “Yakap sa Dilim” and “Bridge Over Troubled Water” by Simon and Garfunkel, which highlighted his capabilities to sing Tagalog and English songs. She also invited Nathan Randal, a baritone singer who performed a duet of “Mr. Suave” with David Young.

    Kuh Ledesma also gave a breathtaking rendition of the French classic La Vie En Rose. The OPM legend personifies La Vie En Rose’s lesson of tenacious optimism against hopelessness. She also brought Tim Pavino, a Filipino singer who ended up as a semifinalist in Team Lea in the second season of The Voice of the Philippines. He performed “Ikaw Ang Lahat Sa Akin” and “Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love For You.”

    Many listeners have been moved by Kuh Ledesma’s timeless songs. These are their life soundtracks. To many people’s surprise, Kuh has also inspired many by sharing the Word of God.

    “Meron tayong courage; it’s built in sa atin ang Diyos. Kailangan lang tunay natin syang makilala. I prayed a lot, but I really didn’t know. Akala ko nakilala ko na sya. But only when I asked Him to come into my life did I become a better Filipino. At tayong mga Filipino, Ibang Klase ang ating lahi, super galing talaga. We are winners because we know the name Jesus Christ,” she shared before performing “Pilipino Ako,” a patriotic song that filled us with pride, a song that paid tribute to our national heroes and achievers during that night.

    Throughout the concert, Kuh shared personal stories and reflections on her faith, drawing a connection between her music and her spiritual journey. Her authenticity resonated deeply, making the concert feel more intimate and meaningful.

    She also featured her own classic hit, “Till I Met You,” with her signature emotional depth and vocal precision. Fans sang along passionately, creating an electric atmosphere that celebrated her long-standing career.

    Visuals were striking, with vibrant lighting and backdrop designs that complemented the mood of each song. The concert was not just a musical experience but a visual feast, enhancing the emotional impact of her performance. The band was tight, providing excellent musical support that elevated Kuh’s powerful voice.

    The explosive track serves as the first single off their soon-to-be-released third album, The Traveller Across Dimensions.

    Filipino band Ben&Ben heralds the start of a new era with the release of “Triumph,” the first single of their upcoming third album, The Traveller Across Dimensions, due out on November 29, 2024, via Sony Music Entertainment.

    A massive rock anthem that defies sonic expectations, “Triumph” empowers listeners to work on quieting the voices inside their heads and not let anything or anyone hinder the progress that they’ve gained in reaching their goals and dreams.

    The nine-piece act’s very own Paolo and Miguel Benjamin penned the stadium rouser, which was deeply inspired by the difficult struggles that the band has experienced over the years, particularly the kind that “would leave you running on empty and wondering how much longer things would have to go on feeling so unbearably heavy.”

    The band explains, “Triumph is an anthem for those who are tired of being tired. It’s the fight song for the moments we have to be our own cheerleader, our own support system, our own best friend, our own defender. Even in our weakest moments, there are times we may feel the need to manifest victory, to speak hope into ourselves that we can emerge through any struggle triumphant.”

    With a more theatrical approach to songwriting and production, Ben&Ben’s latest single achieves remarkable heights, driven by glam rock bombast and virtuosic instrumentation. It’s the first song that they’ve arranged and collaborated with their producer and friend, Ziv, whose expertise and skill added an invaluable layer of character and nuance to so many of their songs for the forthcoming album, including “Triumph.”

    “For each song in the album, we would spend a day or two essentially conducting a workshop or brainstorming process to find what direction the song is pulling us towards,” Ben&Ben reveals. “As part of the democratic process, each band member contributes their ideas for the song while Ziv synthesizes and streamlines everything to gradually shape the final arrangement. After we settle on a band arrangement for the song, we head to the studio where even more details are meticulously fine-tuned.”

    Pivoting towards a more multimedia approach for the next chapter of their music releases, Ben&Ben conveys a new dimension of storytelling through a fully 3D animated music video.

    Introducing the character of Liwanag, the titular traveler from their new album, the music video of “Triumph” essays the story in a way that will have the audience immersed and curious about her journey. The concept of the MV was conceived by Paolo Benjamin, alongside Miguel Benjamin and the rest of the group, in collaboration with the extremely talented folks at Puppeteer Studios.

    “We wanted to stray from the more reality-based music videos we’ve done so many of throughout our career, and as kids who grew up lovers of animation, video games, and all things fantastical, we really believe that animation is one of the most compelling ways to tell a story,” the critically acclaimed band shares in a press statement. “We naturally gravitate toward supporting characters who possess their own struggles, motivations, and emotions. Sometimes, we may find ourselves relating more to fictional characters than we do to real-life figures, as it often feels like life is stranger than fiction.”

    His latest single not only oozes undeniable charisma but also reinstates his potential as a hitmaker of first-rate caliber, boasting an impressive run of inescapable chart-toppers in the 2010s.

    According to James, the song is about falling in love with a sunflower and how romance requires appreciation, protection, and understanding. “Love is an organic process and needs to grow naturally,” he adds.

    “Mirasol” is co-written by James and Alison Shore, an R&B artist whose work brims with effortless cool and ‘90s suave. Both accomplished artists thought of using the sunflower as a metaphor “for a relationship that gives off an air of sweet summer romance and innocence.”

    As James explains it further, “I want to connect on a different level with my fans that I haven’t been able to do before. Writing in Tagalog (Filipino) was a very welcomed challenge for me, and I’ve enjoyed it so much.”

    One Click Straight’s Tim Marquez, a frequent collaborator of James himself, also brought a tapestry of effortlessly blissful sound that complements the romantic nature of the lyrics. The final product evokes the more commercial and critically acclaimed work of James Reid during the Diary Ng Panget era but is rendered with more sophistication and subtlety, production-wise.

    “Mirasol” is the third single of his upcoming EP, jgh, which is slated to drop on November 22, 2024. The soon-to-be-released EP, which contains tracks such as “Sandal” and “Hurt Me Too,” is described to be a “return-to-form” record, touching on his softer, more vulnerable side and more pop-leaning direction.

The celebration kicked off with a press launch at Radisson Blu Hotel Cebu and culminated in the festival at City di Mare, drawing a full house of 9,500 enthusiastic attendees.

    The morning press launch welcomed BIGWIN29 executives, Fusion artists, media representatives from TV stations, publications, and radio networks, as well as influencers and partners. Nadine Lustre made her first live appearance as BIGWIN29’s ambassador. Guests enjoyed an exclusive preview of BIGWIN29’s music video, “Big Time Ka Rito,” and were introduced to the brand’s lovable mascot, roBi, along with future plans.

    “This is the grand launch of BIGWIN29, and we want to make sure that every festival goer will feel grand… na big time talaga sila rito because that’s what we are offering our players, our audience,” said Menard Medina, Head of Brand Strategy and Communications of BIGWIN29.
