“I don’t want to be a sad story. I’m very proud of going through what I have and coming out the other side.” – James Vickery
March 14th, 2025– Rising R&B star James Vickery marks the start of a new chapter with his brand new single “Hotel Lobby”, released today with Red Bull Records. Fans can stream the song here and watch the music video here.
Written in LA, and produced by Malik 95 and Mosaic, “Hotel Lobby” is a song that grooves to a bossa nova rhythm while unraveling the emotions that have shaped his artistry. Influenced by the likes of Daniel Caesar & Sabrina Carpenter, its carefree sound carries an introspective narrative of love, longing, and self-acceptance. It’s a song that embodies the newfound confidence James has discovered within himself.
The release of “Hotel Lobby” comes with a beautifully filmed music video that brings its heartfelt lyrics to life. Set in an intimate bedroom scene, the visuals perfectly capture the raw emotion and passion woven into the song.
“I really wanted to go outside of my comfort zone and write over something that I would never normally sing to,” James explains. “Malik 95 and Mosaic cooked up this weird and wonderful guitar loop, and I had this concept for ages about writing about a passionate night with someone that was so emphatic, that it could be heard from the Lobby downstairs. Chloe Angelides and I wrote the rest of the song so quickly – it flowed out of us so effortlessly, which in my eyes is usually a sign of a great song.”
“Hotel Lobby” marks the first release of the year from a larger upcoming project from James. His voice, his story, and his passion continue to set him apart, proving that he is an artist with both depth and staying power.

Filipino singer-songwriter Earl Agustin is making waves in the local music scene as his current breakout single ‘Tibok’ has officially claimed the #1 spot on the Spotify Philippines Chart.
The heartfelt and melodic track has captured the hearts of music lovers across the country, propelling Earl into the spotlight as one of the most exciting new voices in Original Pilipino Music (OPM).
‘Tibok,’ which blends elements of pop and ballad with deeply personal lyrics, has resonated with listeners thanks to its evocative storytelling and unforgettable melody. The song’s meteoric rise to the top of the chart is a testament to Earl Agustin’s ability to connect with his audience and craft music that speaks directly to the soul.
In a special interview, when Earl heard the news that the track had reached the #1 spot, he shared, “Syempre, kilig na kilig ako. Unexpected sobra kasi hindi ko siya pinangarap. Masaya lang ako na nakapagrelease ako ng mga kanta ko.”
As of today, Earl Agustin also holds the impressive position of #6 on the Spotify Philippines Top OPM Artists chart, further cementing his status as a key figure in the Filipino music landscape. With ‘Tibok’ gaining widespread recognition, this achievement marks a significant milestone in his career, as he continues to earn praise from both fans and critics alike for his fresh sound and authentic approach to music-making.
Reflecting on the story behind the said track, it was released last 2023 and Earl shared, “Actually ang funny nga eh kasi nakikita ko siya (‘Tibok’) sa Tiktok na parang ine-enjoy siya ng mga tao as a love song — pero sa totoo lang, sinulat ko siya at that time na sobrang heartbroken ako sa crush ko noon. As in dito ko talaga binuhos lahat (ng nararamdaman ko) so I would say na ito yung pinaka-honest na song na naisulat ko, na wala akong iniisip na magugustuhan ba siya ng mga tao. Dito ko talaga nabuhos yung genuine na nararamdaman ko at that time.” He found it amusing how the song had taken on a different meaning for others, something that he appreciated.
The song’s success has also brought exciting collaborations. When asked about the people who helped bring ‘Tibok’ to life, Earl credited his talented team: Jean-Paul Verona, who produced the track, and Kim Lopez, who arranged it. Their combined efforts along with his witty songwriting skills helped shape the song into what it is today.
In addition to its chart-topping success, ‘Tibok’ is also a part of the Official Soundtrack in the Viva One series Ang Mutya ng Section E, which Earl expressed great pride in – which was also included in Tibok’s Performance Video. When asked about his thoughts on the said series, “Masaya ako na yung ‘Tibok,’ hindi nalang siya music na papakinggan ng casual listener, meron na din siyang incorporation sa series na feel ko swak din sa overall story at vibe ng kanta.”
One of Earl’s favorite aspects of the trend surrounding ‘Tibok’ has been the way listeners have connected with the song. “Ang dami kasi talagang nag-viral ngayon na trend sa Tiktok kaya ang hirap mamili pero siguro sobra akong natuwa dun sa mga videos na nakikita nila siya (‘Tibok’) as a happy love song na ine-express nila how they’re yearning for someone at kung paano nila nagagamit yung song to express their feelings na hindi nila kayang maamin — kumbaga nagpaparinig nalang sila sa crush nila hoping na makita yung Tiktok nila.”
Evidently, we can see how Earl’s songwriting is driven by his objective to craft songs that resonate with others’ emotions since “Yung pinaka-goal ko din sa pagsusulat ay makagawa ako ng songs na merong shared human experience,” he said.
Earl’s success doesn’t stop with ‘Tibok’ as four of his songs are now part of the Spotify Philippines Chart, including ‘Dalangin,’ ‘Dito Sa’kin,’ and ‘Aya,’ a feat that still feels surreal to him. Earl gets emotional as he reveals, “Sobrang surreal ng feeling kasi araw-araw ko inaabangan yung mga songs ko eversince nung nakapasok ako sa Top 200 Artists, nag-wonder lang ako everyday na ano kayang pwedeng mangyari? Kaya ngayon, sobrang saya and sobrang thankful ako — lalo na sa mga taong naniwala at sumoporta sa akin since day one.”
With his discography topping the charts and a promising future ahead, Earl Agustin is poised to continue making his mark on the OPM scene, captivating listeners with his unique sound and deeply personal artistry.
Stay tuned for more exciting updates as Earl Agustin teases us with an upcoming single soon?
GNN marks its tenth-year anniversary of producing shows and concerts with a one-day music event top-billed by Pamungkas from Indonesia and Scrubb from Thailand.
#GNN10 Presents: Pamungkas and Scrubb Live in Manila will take place on April 26, 2025, at 123 Block in Mandala Park, Mandaluyong City. The exclusive, co-headline show is a Philippine-only engagement and will form a key part of #GNN10, a year-long music campaign. This project started with a string of sold-out shows earlier this year, including Regina Song: Live in Manila and Tanaw: The Repeat at Newport Performing Arts Theater.
The inaugural celebration commemorates the production company’s commitment to championing local and Asian artists and reaffirms its mission of mounting concerts and events rooted in community building and inclusivity.
Having earned iconic status in their respective countries and throughout Southeast Asia, Pamungkas and Scrubb have cultivated a dedicated fanbase in the Philippines with their inescapable anthems. Indonesian singer-songwriter and producer Pamungkas became a regional sensation with his breakout hit, “To The Bone,” which topped streaming charts across Southeast Asian countries, including the Philippines, where it peaked at No. 5 on Spotify PH charts. Meanwhile, phenomenal Thai alt-pop duo Scrubb captivated global audiences with their enormous contributions to the official soundtrack of 2gether The Series, the biggest Boy’s Love hit to ever come out of the region.
GNN brought both artists in 2022 and 2024, respectively, introducing them to the Philippine market through separate headline shows.
“We are incredibly excited to bring Pamungkas and Scrubb back to the Philippine stage,” shares GNN Creative Director Marie Lara Pauline Bobier in an official press statement. “This anniversary celebration marks an important milestone for me, Ian, and Milley, and reflects how far we’ve come from our humble beginnings. It is a testament to our younger selves that passion, dedication, and perseverance pay off. We started with nothing—personally cutting tickets, selling them through meet-ups with strangers, carrying our extension cords and electric kettles to gigs and concerts—all while holding onto our day jobs.”
Bobier continues, “GNN has never been just about numbers; it has grown through shared experiences and memories. Our artists, gig and concertgoers, and dedicated production team have created moments that will last a lifetime. GNN has always been, and will always be, for those who live and breathe entertainment. We are truly grateful that, through our company, we have the privilege of bringing together the artists we admire with the fans who love them just as much.”
Tickets to #GNN10 Presents: Pamungkas and Scrubb Live in Manila are available on March 14, 2025, at 12 noon via https://scrubbpamungkas.helixpay.ph.

That passion, combined with a deep love for culture, music, experiences, and people, fuels her mission today—to create unforgettable moments for others on a scale that has never been seen before.
Playback Music Festival is more than nostalgia—it’s about bringing back the energy, the culture, and the moments that defined an era.
Why You Can’t Afford to Miss This
You know the songs. You’ve lived the moments. But when was the last time you felt that rush of nostalgia live, surrounded by thousands of people who know every lyric just like you do?

So lock in the date, grab your tickets, and get ready. Because this isn’t just a concert—it’s the kind of night that only happens once.
Acclaimed singer-songwriter Clara Benin, prolific post-rock artist GABBA, and seasoned musician Kakoy Legaspi will be joining Johnoy Danao’s highly anticipated first solo concert Liwayway at Dapithapon, happening on March 14 to 15, 2025, at the Metropolitan Theater (MET) in Manila.
Both Benin and GABBA are announced to perform on the first day of the concert, while Kakoy Legaspi will reunite with Danao on day 2.
“All guests are handpicked by Johnoy Danao,” minsan studio head Jason Conanan reveals. “Each of them has played a crucial part in his music journey, both as collaborators and real-life friends.”

Marking a milestone in his 25-year career as part of bluesy folk band Bridge and an accomplished singer-songwriter, the two-day concert celebrates his work and career in a live setting, complete with an intricate setup and a 15-piece orchestra conducted by Ria Villena-Osorio. The concert also follows Danao’s series of sold-out cafe shows, which took place in several intimate venues across the Philippines.
Conanan also introduced a special promo specifically for students who have been supportive fans of Johnoy Danao’s music. “minsan studio believes that everyone, especially young people, are the key to long-term careers of the artists,” the concert producer shares. “They are the most active fans. Most of the time, they have limited financial capacity to do so; that’s why we came up with an initiative to show appreciation for their efforts.”
Conanan adds, “We started with pay-what-you-can gigs, and we find that people value these experiences differently. A student’s PHP 100 may be their savings for the day, while to an adult, that’s just another coffee. This is our way of helping bridge that gap.”

Tickets for Liwayway at Dapithapon are now available. Don’t miss the chance to witness this once-in-a-lifetime musical event.

Actor-singer Ashtine Olviga released her own rendition of Amiel Sol’s chart-topping song, “Sa Bawat Sandali.”
The track has become Amiel’s most successful song to date, reaching #1 on Spotify’s Daily Top Songs and Daily Viral Songs charts. An official soundtrack of Viva One’s “Ang Mutya ng Section E,” (AMNSE) Ashtine Olviga, the series’ designated mutya, stayed true to the song’s sincere emotion.
In a music video released on February 20, Ashtine starred alongside AMNSE’s male lead, Andres Muhlach.
Learning from Ivory Music label’s resident lover boy, Ashtine’s reimagination of “Sa Bawat Sandali” made it more intimate and meaningful with her soft vocals. With a captivating and moving rendition, her version sends a frisson of emotion, allowing listeners to feel the kind of assurance we all need and deserve.
Looking back at Ashtine Olviga’s career and discography, she was a former member of several Pinoy pop groups, including U Go Girls or UGG, PPop Generation, and LITZ. Although none of the groups are still active, all members have decided to pursue their solo careers.
In 2019, Ashtine made her solo debut with her take on “Sabihin Mo Na” which was originally performed by Top Suzara.
Ashtine Olviga’s version of Sa Bawat Sandali is out now on all streaming platforms.
The two-day program will feature documentary screenings, panel discussions, keynote presentations, an exhibit, and a live music showcase featuring more than 16 music acts from the Philippines, Taiwan, Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand.
The Rest Is Noise (TRIN), a music curation and events production outfit based in the Philippines, will be celebrating its 10th anniversary with the return of All Of The Noise 2025. The two-day live music and culture event will take place at Astbury Makati from April 4 to 5, 2025. With a focus on music discovery, cross-cultural dialogue, and creative networking, this year’s edition aims to champion the diverse music communities in the Philippines and Asia while also promising an unforgettable experience for artists, fans, and industry professionals alike.
All Of The Noise 2025 expands on its 2019 programming, offering multi-format activities, including music-themed documentary screenings, panel discussions, and keynote presentations in the morning and afternoon, followed by a live music showcase each evening. The event will highlight critically acclaimed and up-and-coming musicians from the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Indonesia, as well as a special exhibit presenting the work of Karen De La Fuente, a prominent music photographer based in Manila.
“As we celebrate 10 years of The Rest Is Noise, we wanted to highlight what helped us reach this milestone in the first place, which is our community,” says MC Galang, co-founder and creative director of TRIN. “It started here at home, with the belief, support, and collaboration of music artists who were at the forefront of the events we’ve put together over the years, but also early on, I think unconsciously, we’ve known and therefore sought people from outside Metro Manila who are doing the same thing we’re doing, and we did, first in Visayas and Mindanao, then eventually in Southeast Asia, the rest of Asia, and all over the world.”
Originally conceived as a year-end, midsized music festival, the third iteration of All of the Noise 2025 expands on its 2019 multi-format programming to hone in on TRIN’s brand of curation to import Asian indie acts and eventually begin exporting Filipino music talent via the team’s capacity as co-founders, producers, and programmers of the intraregional AXEAN Festival.
Galang adds, “This year’s programming, I think, is the best we’ve conceptualized so far. I wouldn’t say it was the easiest, but I think it was just a natural progression and a mirroring of our combined, individual careers so far. The live music program is obviously a crucial mainstay of any production we’ll do, championing exciting newcomers and established indie acts that have showcased their talents abroad, as well as exceptional musicians from Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, and Indonesia.”
Live Music Programming
The live music showcase will feature co-headlining performances from Taiwanese soft-rock band The Chairs, Thai alt-pop band KIKI, Singaporean hip hop artist San The Wordsmith, and Indonesian experimental electronic act Logic Lost. Joining them on stage will be the Philippines’ very own ena mori, SOS, Pedicab, Waiian, and obese.dogma777.
The event will also put a spotlight on Cebu-based artists Mandaue Nights and IIICCCYYY, as well as the debut of Paul Yap (UDD) and Mario Consunji (Musical O)’s collaborative music project Double Shy. Additional performers include Cheeky Things, Pette Shabu, Pixie Labrador, SVATG, and Fashion Island.
Music Conference
All Of The Noise brings back the conference program, Cut Through The Noise, expanded from its 2019 edition. This year’s multi-format showcase summit will feature dynamic and engaging panel discussions and keynote presentations that explore important topics relevant to the local and regional music scene, providing a platform for diverse voices and narratives from niche music communities.
Each panel will have a moderator and resource speakers who will discuss each respective topic, providing insights and expert opinions. Panelists and speakers will be announced in the coming days.
The topics will include:

VisMin Music Community and Decentralizing OPM Narratives & Opportunities (April 4) · Music Showcase & Creative Industry Development: A Career-Building Guide (April 4) · Empowering Queer Visibility and Imagery in Pinoy Music (April 5) · Brash Maximalism: ‘Budots’ and the Global Future of Pinoy Electronic Music (April 5)
Music-themed Documentary Screenings
For the first time ever, the AOTN programming will feature screenings of two multi-awarded documentaries: Budots: The Craze by Jay Rosas and Mark Limbaga on April 4, and Jingle Lang Ang Pahina by Chuck Escasa on April 5.
The music-themed films will tackle the early phenomenon of budots, the grassroots electronic music movement that started in Davao City, and the legacy of Jingle magazine, one of the pioneering music publications in the Philippines. Following the screenings, the filmmakers will participate in a talkback session, providing a unique opportunity for attendees to engage with the creators.
Exhibit
A key highlight of the event will be an exhibit featuring the work of Karen De La Fuente, a renowned photographer who has captured some of the most iconic Filipino musicians at their most vulnerable, most exhilarating state of live performance. De La Fuente is the former creative director of Ben&Ben, and she has worked with some of the most important music acts and entertainers of the past decade.

As if it was written in the stars, a year later, 2009, LEE MINHO’s breakthrough having the lead role of Gu Jun Pyo in the television series “Boys Over Flowers”.
