MANILA, PHILIPPINES — On June 26, 2026, the Filinvest City Events Grounds will transform into the epicenter of Filipino youth culture as Fusion: The Philippine Music Festival returns in partnership with Nescafé.
This year, the festival leaps beyond the format of a traditional concert to become a true cultural movement, all anchored on the rallying cry of Nescafé’s campaign: “Gisingin ang Mundo.” Nescafé Fusion is not just about putting on a show, it is awakening the youth to take action, to stand for what they care about, and to be one in support of Original Pilipino Music (OPM).
Nescafé Awakens the Filipino Youth
We live in an age of uncertainty where economic pressures and digital fatigue often leave the youth feeling disconnected. Yet, a new generation of “Gleamers”, radical optimists who find power in small wins, is rising to combat the chaos.
For decades, Nescafé has been the daily companion that helped generations of Filipinos start their mornings and power through long nights. Now, it is using its legacy to fuel the youth with the language that resonates best with them: music. By merging Nescafé’s global scale with Fusion’s deep roots in Filipino music culture, we are rousing a movement that champions local artistry and human connection over the isolation of the digital world.
Democratizing the Stage and Empowering Voices
At the heart of Nescafé Fusion is a festival experience that belongs to the community. Students are no longer just spectators to history-in-the-making; they are co-creators of the movement. By working in deep synergy with student organizations, we are bringing together the brightest youth to build a festival that reflects the true spirit of today’s generation.
This commitment to the future is best exemplified by the return of Nescafé Fusion FreeJam, an intercollegiate battle of the bands. Supported by the Organisasyon ng mga Pilipinong Mang-aawit (OPM) and the Filipino Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (FILSCAP), FreeJam is a pillar in nurturing the next generation of Filipino musicians. Finalists receive financial support for their music journey and mentorship from the industry’s best directors and partners. They don’t just warm up the stage, they perform back-to-back with our headliners during the prime segments of the festival.
The movement is also bolstered by an unprecedented unity of media organizations. Cignal, a major media partner, brings the movement from the music community to the sports community through properties such as the UAAP to connect with youth culture even further. Myx, one of the country’s iconic music platforms, remains a long-time partner of Fusion, sharing our vision of promoting our very own music.
Walking the Talk: Sustainability and Community
Nescafé Fusion believes that global ambitions must be matched by local, tangible action. We are moving beyond the “table stakes” of sustainability to create a truly resourceful event that today’s consumers trust and champion. We are partnering with Briyo Energy to power parts of our festival using solar power, directly addressing the environmental impact and carbon footprint delivered by large-scale entertainment events. We are also working with The Plastic Flamingo to ensure that concert plastic waste, which is significant in events of this scale, is upcycled into useful products, such as school chairs, that circle back to serve the student communities that define our roots.
A Unifying Celebration for the Future
Nescafé Fusion transforms the Filinvest Concerts Grounds into a vibrant, multi-sensory playground where the electric energy of the movement is felt in every corner. Elevating this experience is the Nescafé Mansion, a festival centerpiece that elevates on-ground experiences beyond the stage.
The festival’s lineup is a direct reflection of the youth’s own voices. Featuring a powerful roster of OPM icons like IV of Spades, Maki, Angela Ken, BGYO, Earl Agustin, and Arthur Miguel, the artist selection is meticulously guided by the performers that the youth listen to and relate to on their own journeys. Adding to the excitement, the Fusion FreeJam finalists are not only an opening act, they have a spot in the limelight, performing back-to-back with Fusion main artists during prime segments of the festival.
Beyond the music, Nescafé Fusion walks the talk in community support through the Nescafé Fusion Youth Village. This space will hold student entrepreneurs and youth artisans to sell their products without any concessionaire fees or commissions, providing a tangible platform for the next generation of young creators to thrive in a real-world setting.
The festival culminates in a powerful, unified moment when the audience gathers for the anthem, “Gisingin ang Mundo.” To be performed alongside university hitmaker Earl Agustin, this performance serves as the ultimate call to action, uniting the crowd in a collective chorus that champions Filipino music that we’re proud of.
Shared Rituals for a New Generation
The Nescafé Fusion experience is also a reflection of how the brand is evolving alongside the very audience it celebrates. As the culture of coffee shifts from a purely functional morning ritual toward personal “micro-moments,” the kind that defines one’s identity and social rhythm, Nescafé is meeting today’s generation exactly where they are.
Whether it’s through refreshing, on-the-go coffee experiences that fit a fast-paced festival lifestyle or accessible options for daily life, the brand is prioritizing versatility. By integrating into the social rituals of the youth, Nescafé aims to be more than just a drink; it serves as a companion to the moments, big or small, where young Filipinos continue to connect, dream, and shape their future.
Join us on June 26, 2026, as we transform the Filinvest City Events Grounds into a beacon of the Filipino youth’s creativity, hospitality, and hope. Together, we are building the next global cultural phenomenon in awakening the world to the heartbeat of Filipino culture.

Blending Japanese musical elements with Filipino storytelling, JP-POP features chant sections and interactive call-and-response moments inspired by Japan’s live music culture, offering a new listening experience for OPM audiences.
Leading her debut is the upbeat single “Pito Pito,” which will be released by KDR Music House on May 27, 2026. Inspired by the number seven—a symbol of luck and a nod to her name—the track is designed to bring listeners together through music and participation.
Prior to her debut, Nanao has already gained traction among Filipino fans through her OPM cover videos on social media, amassing over 10 million views across platforms.
Originally from Tokyo, Nanao developed a deep connection with the Philippines after visiting the country and later studying in Cebu, where she began learning English and Tagalog.
With her cross-cultural sound and growing fanbase, Nanao—together with KDR Music House—is poised to bring a new wave of global influence into the Philippine music scene.

In the landscape of modern OPM, few voices possess the surgical precision of Janine. She doesn’t just sing about love; she maps its nervous system, documenting the quiet tremors of the heart with a clarity that feels almost intrusive. After the breakout success of her Apat Na Buwan EP, a project that defined a season of longing for many, and the haunting resonance of her single “Pikit Mata,” Janine has transitioned from a storyteller of “what if” to a chronicler of “what is.”
While her previous work lived in the spaces of waiting and the shadows of uncertainty, her latest double-single release, “Hinga” and “Iisa,” marks a definitive evolution. This isn’t just a turnaround; it’s a maturation of the narrative she’s been building since she first stepped into the light.
If Apat Na Buwan was about the endurance of time, “Iisa” is about the arrival of clarity. It serves as the cornerstone of this release, capturing that rare, breathless moment when the search ends and the choosing begins.
Janine pivots from the fear of solitude to the safety of domesticity. The track is an anthem for the “home” we find in another person. When she sings, “’Di na mag-iisa,” it isn’t just a lyric; it’s a resolution. It represents a shift in Janine’s sonic identity, moving away from the tentative steps of a new artist into the grounded confidence of a woman who knows exactly who she is holding onto.
But Janine has never been one to offer a sanitized version of romance. To pair “Iisa” with “Hinga” is a stroke of narrative genius. Where “Iisa” is the peak of the mountain, “Hinga” is the air required to stay there. It is a track that explores the terrifyingly honest side of long-term devotion: the need for space. In a world that demands constant presence, Janine advocates for the pause. The plea, “Huwag ka sanang maghanap ng iba ’pag kailangan ko lang na huminga,” is perhaps her most vulnerable line to date. It strips away the “happily ever after” trope and replaces it with a realistic, human boundary. It is a song for those who love deeply but need to find their own center to keep that love alive.
As Janine navigates a love so tender and the process of enduring it, these both singles will leave a reminder that love is not just a promise made in the dark, but a steady, rhythmic effort to remain human while being a part of “we.”
The next global girl group from HYBE and Geffen Records has officially been revealed. During the finale broadcast of WORLD SCOUT: THE FINAL PIECE on Japan’s streaming platform ABEMA, the four-member group was introduced under the name SAINT SATINE.
The newly formed group consists of Emily (20, USA), Lexie (21, Sweden), Samara (20, Brazil), and the newest addition, Sakura (16, Japan). Emily, Lexie, and Samara first gained international attention through the Netflix docuseries Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE, where they quickly built a dedicated global fanbase.
The group’s final member was selected through WORLD SCOUT: THE FINAL PIECE, a large-scale audition project produced in partnership with ABEMA. Sakura emerged victorious among more than 14,000 applicants, officially completing SAINT SATINE’s lineup during the series finale that aired earlier today.
Alongside the finale, HYBE x Geffen Records also released the digital single album World Scout: The Final Piece – Finale. The two-track release captures the climactic performances from the competition’s final round, spotlighting finalists Sakura and runner-up Ayana as they performed alongside Emily, Lexie, and Samara.
Leading the release is “PARTY b4 the PARTY,” performed by Sakura with the rest of SAINT SATINE. The high-energy urban pop track combines playful percussion, heavy bass transitions, and dynamic harmonies, delivering an anthem centered on the excitement leading up to a night out. The second track, “WE RIDE,” features runner-up Ayana alongside the group members in a nostalgic yet modern R&B-inspired sound built around smooth harmonies and sleek production.
A performance video for “PARTY b4 the PARTY” was also unveiled following the finale broadcast, giving fans a first official look at SAINT SATINE as a complete group.
According to HYBE x Geffen, the name “SAINT SATINE” reflects the group’s duality and artistic identity. “SAINT” symbolizes exceptional musicality and charisma, while “SATINE” represents elegance, softness, and sophistication. The group is described as existing “at the intersection of desire and transcendence,” balancing refinement and boldness in both music and image.
WORLD SCOUT: THE FINAL PIECE continues the successful collaboration between HYBE America and Geffen Records, following the global success of KATSEYE. The partnership launched a worldwide audition campaign in 2021 to create a multicultural pop group that could transcend cultural and artistic boundaries. More than 120,000 applicants auditioned for the original project, which later became the foundation for Dream Academy and the Netflix series Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE.
Since debuting, KATSEYE has earned two GRAMMY nominations and three American Music Awards nominations. Their second EP, BEAUTIFUL CHAOS, debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, while their third EP, WILD, is scheduled for release on August 14.
With its final lineup now complete, SAINT SATINE is set to begin its journey as HYBE x Geffen’s newest global pop act, carrying the momentum of one of the industry’s most ambitious international talent projects.

MANILA — Influential Filipino rock band Chicosci is set to mark the 20th anniversary of its self-titled album with a live show on June 6, alongside the record’s first official vinyl release.
Titled A Toast to All Our Crimes, the anniversary show will center on the band’s 2006 release. A seminal project widely seen as a turning point in both Chicosci’s career and the broader local rock landscape during a period of transition for original Pilipino music. Composed of vocalist Miggy Chavez, guitarist Mong Alcaraz, bassist Eco del Rio and drummer Victor Guison, the band is set to unleash this exciting show to commemorate one of their most iconic records.
Released at a time when the scene was shifting between acoustic pop, “pogi rock,” and the fading wave of early nu metal, the album introduced a tighter, more aggressive sound that expanded the band’s reach. Its tracks became staples of packed live performances across the country, helping cement Chicosci’s crossover appeal.
“This album was a test for the band,” said Mong. “In 2006, it was a strange time in OPM. For the first time, we decided to do everything ourselves — writing, recording, production, marketing, packaging, and distribution. It was our first step as an independent band, and we’ve remained that band since.”
For the upcoming show, the band will perform the album in full, revisiting the material that defined its mid-2000s run while reintroducing it to a new live audience.
“We’ll be playing the White Album in its entirety, along with a few more songs,” shares Miggy. “We’ve been rehearsing a lot for this show, and we’re excited for people to experience it — even our soundcheck, if they’re into that.”
The anniversary also coincides with the album’s long-awaited vinyl release, answering years of demand from longtime listeners and offering a new entry point for younger audiences discovering the band’s catalog.
“I think it’s important for us to celebrate this album because it resonated with so many people,” Chavez said. “It means a lot to us, and it’s mind-blowing that it continues to mean a lot to others as well.”
Two decades on, Chicosci’s influence remains evident in a new wave of local acts that draw from the same blend of melody and weight. The anniversary show serves as both a reflection on the past and a test of the album’s enduring relevance.
“The album was a massive turning point for the band,” Chavez added. “Celebrating it 20 years later is a testament to how far we’ve come — and we couldn’t have done it without everyone who’s been with us along the way.”
A Toast to All Our Crimes: 20 Years of the Chicosci Album takes place on June 9 at Soundcheck Inc. in Pasig, with Kamikazee joining the lineup. Tickets are available at https://bit.ly/CHICOSCI20years.

Audiences everywhere rave about how closely their live performances sound like the cherished records they listened to back in the day.
Bread virtually invented soft rock in the early Seventies, and the group’s biggest hits – “Make It With You”, “If”, “Baby I’m-A-Want-You” and “Everything I Own” – remain staples on lite-rock radio.
People’s comments to TOAST’s concerts were like “I’ve had a lot of exposure to Bread’s music and I’m telling you, what an awesome show these guys put on! Truly amazing!”, “It was as if it was Bread themselves performing! Over the top amazing! Brought back so many memories”, “I loved how they paid tribute to David Gates and Bread. Really classy show”, “We sang, we laughed, we cried, we loved every minute! Can’t wait to see them again”.
Other Bread hits to be performed by TOAST include “Aubrey”, “Sweet Surrender”, “It Don’t Matter To Me”, “Clouds”, “Mother Freedom”, “Everything I Own”, “Guitar Man”, “Games Of Magic”, “Lost Without Your Love”, “Goodbye Girl”, among many other Filipino favorites.

Japanese boy group BE:FIRST is officially bringing their highly anticipated world showcase tour to the Philippines this year, with Manila confirmed as one of the key stops for the BE:FIRST WORLD SHOWCASE 2026.
The six-member act will perform on October 3, 2026 at the New Frontier Theater as part of the group’s first large-scale international showcase run across Asia and North America. The Manila stop follows performances in Bangkok and Taipei before the group heads to New York later in October.
Fans in the Philippines can expect a live set featuring tracks from the group’s recently released digi-pack BE:FIRST ALL DAY, which includes the songs “BE:FIRST ALL DAY” and “Rondo.” The showcase also arrives during a milestone year for the group as they celebrate their fifth anniversary in the music industry.
The announcement comes after a series of major career achievements for BE:FIRST, including their first-ever stadium concerts at Ajinomoto Stadium in Tokyo held on May 16 and 17. The group is also set to open for Janet Jackson in Tokyo this June.
Reflecting on their growing global reach, member Manato shared his excitement about continuing to perform internationally following their previous world tour.
“For many listeners outside Japan, it may be their first time seeing us live, so I hope we can show an even more evolved version of the six of us,” he said.
Presale access for the Manila show will be available exclusively to Live Nation Philippines members on May 28 from 12 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. General ticket sales will begin on May 29 at 12 p.m. through TicketNet Philippines and its outlets.
The BE:FIRST WORLD SHOWCASE 2026 marks another major step in the group’s expanding international presence as they continue introducing their music and performances to audiences around the world.

Composed of members Angela, Charice, Sophia, Alexa, and Charlotte, KAIA debuted in 2022 and has steadily built a reputation as one of the Philippines’ strongest live-performing girl groups. Their recent surge in online attention marks a significant breakthrough moment for the group and further reflects the growing international interest in P-pop.
The momentum comes shortly after KAIA’s participation in the ASEAN–Korea Music Festival: ROUND in Philippines 2026, the large-scale international music festival produced by KBS World TV in partnership with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, where KAIA represented the Philippines alongside leading local and Korean artists.
As part of the festival, KAIA also collaborated with fellow P-pop groups HORI7ON and 1st.One for “Sulong,” the official theme song of ROUND Festival Philippines 2026—a powerful anthem celebrating unity, youth culture, and the growing connection between Southeast Asia and Korea through music.
“Sulong” continues to gain attention following its official release and broadcast promotions econnected to the festival, further positioning Filipino artists within the expanding ASEAN–Korea cultural exchange movement.
The recent virality of KAIA’s performance is seen by many fans and industry observers as another major step forward for P-pop’s continued rise internationally, proving that Filipino artists can compete on the global stage through performance excellence, artistry, and authenticity.
