Miley Cyrus live: Corazon Gitano tour in Manila Review
The anticipated and exclusive performance of Miley Cyrus in Asia was held at Mall of Asia Concert Ground. Miley Cyrus: Corazon Gitano Tour in Manila was a huge success. The opening acts were Sam Concepcion and Elmo Magalona. They were entertaining and played songs that the crowd would definitely enjoy like Justin Bieber’s Never Say Never and Somebody To Love, Kanye West’s All Of The Lights and Please Don’t Go by Mike Posner.
The energy of the screaming fans were totally amazing as thousands of Miley fans waited for their idol to appear on stage. Miley Cyrus got on the stage at 8:50PM dressed in a super hot white jacket outfit w/ a song called Liberty Walk. The Hannah Montana star was full of energy and performed like there’s no tomorrow. She got the audience up on their feet immediately making for a strong start of the show. Then she followed it up with Party In The USA which really drove the crowd wild. Kicking And Screaming and Robot were the 3rd and 4th from her setlist. She couldn’t stop saying “I love you guys” and “thank you for supporting me”. The animations clips flashed onto the billboard sized screen was visually amazing. The most surprising performances of the night were her covers of I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll,Cherry Bomb, Bad Reputation from Joann Jett, the unforgettable cover of Poisons’ 80s classic rock ballad Every Rose Has Its Thorn and Nirvana’s Smells Like A Teen Spirit, proving her desire to entertain the parents who brought their kids to her concert. The music was loud, brilliant and she made the audience feel part of the show. She also performed Obsessed, Forgiveness and Love, Fly On The Wall, Scars and her rock anthem 7 Things. She revealed her other side with a song called Can’t Be Tamed. It was a very emotional moment and the time seemed to stop during The Climb as the crowd sang along as if it was their own with the star of the night. She hit every places on the stage so that the audience could see her no matter where they are. After The Climb she was very thankful to the audience ended up with a word “peace” and the crowd started to shout “Miley!” “Miley!” “we want more”.
Convinced by her fans, Miley came back with a red dress and perfromed See You Again, My Hearts Beats For Love with Philippine Flag on widescreen and closed the show with Who Owns My Heart leaving over 30,000 of her fans with a huge smile who went to see the biggest star on Disney Channel. Everyone moved out of the venue and still mesmerized by the show and it’s star.
This concert was so well run from beginning to end. The stage set up was very appealing and huge to hold her dancers and her band. The setlist was solid and worth the price of admission ticket. The show knocked around from rock to pop to ballad and blend the set of the stage and styles into one. Miley touched most of the songs that made her a successful musician. A solid voice, amazing connection with the audience and great stage presence. Miley Cyrus is an incredible artist and performer who’ll be around for a long time.
