Filipino alt hip-hop artist Young Cocoa reclaims his narrative with bold new EP, STILL COCOA

In his six-track release, the acclaimed rapper expands his sonic palette and tackles themes of maturity, identity, and creative freedom.

Rising Filipino artist Young Cocoa asserts his place at the forefront of the alternative hip-hop scene with the release of his highly anticipated EP, STILL COCOA, under Sony Music Entertainment. The six-track project is a boldpiece of work that embraces new influences while honoring the distinct sound that first put him on the map.

Known for incorporating chill, hypnotic grooves with inescapable rhythms and off-kilter production choices, Young Cocoa sharpens his signature sound with renewed clarity and purpose. Produced by BridoJayson FranzJoseph GregoryLuke April, and up-and-comer chocolateman, the EP weaves together fan favorites such as “inboxxx,” “Cheap Thrills,” and “Raspberry” alongside surefire bops and rarities designed to push the boundaries of alternative music, rap, hip-hop, and bedroom indie.

The young hip-hop act explains, “Outside of the message I’m trying to share in this era, STILL COCOA is really my way of planting a flag and cementing my lane as a pioneering alt hip-hop artist. This marks an evolution of my previous project, liv, luvv, cocoa, with clearer messaging and topics that hit closer to home. This time, I’m more focused on experimenting and being more intentional with my sonic and production choices.”

Thematically speaking, STILL COCOA serves as a self-reflection piece on holding onto youth while confronting the realities of growing older. Young Cocoa describes the new record as the start of a new chapter in sound, writing, and storytelling.

“The project explores the in-between of youthfulness and maturity, something that people rarely talk about,” shares the multi-talented rapper. “Some people just fall into adulthood, and some people take time. I’m part of the latter. Each song reflects what growing up has taught me.”

The lead single “STILL COCOA (fly)” represents a pivotal personal and artistic shift, ultimately choosing liberation over limitation. The song addresses the expectations and pressures that have shadowed his early success while reinforcing the EP’s central themes of self-belief and reclaiming one’s narrative.

“I’ve held myself back for so long because many people associated me with one song,” he admits. “It kept me from exploring my full potential. Writing this song made me realize it was time to let go of any inhibitions and fully embrace my sound, whether people understand it or not. STILL COCOA is really an invitation to follow me on the rest of my journey as an artist and serves as a reminder to people that although I’ve changed look-wise, sound-wise, and personality-wise, I’m STILL Cocoa.”

The EP also features new tracks such as “WHEN DO I GET OLD?,” a candid confrontation with ageism in the music industry, and “flew2bali4ahug,” a personal musing on growing distant from brothers.

“Both tracks really spoke to deep feelings I had that were only shared with my girlfriend and anyone in my tight-knit group of friends,” he says. “Sharing these feelings with the world is both scary and exciting. Who knows? Someone out there might be able to relate. That’s a thought that comforts me.”

Young Cocoa’s new EPSTILL COCOA, is out now on all digital music platforms worldwide via Sony Music Entertainment.

Catch him at the STILL COCOA EP and Music Video Launch on December 5, 2025, from 6 pm to 10 pm at Shutterspace Studios in Quezon City. Entrance is FREE!

  • The Itchyworms and Victor Anastacio to perform at One Big Feast: The 2025 Ateneo de Manila Grand Alumni Homecoming

The Itchyworms and Victor Anastacio to perform at One Big Feast: The 2025 Ateneo de Manila Grand Alumni Homecoming

The Ateneo Blue Eagles are flying back to their nest for One Big Feast: The 2025 Ateneo de Manila University Grand Alumni Homecoming, on December 6, 2025, at the Ateneo Junior High School Covered Courts.

Hosted by this year’s Silver Jubilarians, the Ateneo High School Class of 2000, the event will honor the past, plant seeds for a bright future, and aspire to elevate One Big Fight to a global stage.

This year’s Homecoming will gather Ateneans as they honor and support the event’s beneficiaries, foremost among them the teachers whose guidance, presence, passion, and patience have shaped the growth, development, and achievements of countless Ateneans.

In recognition of their dedication and lasting impact, a portion of the proceeds will bolster the Teachers’ Retirement Fund. More than 40 active and retired faculty members are expected to attend the festivities to reconnect with their former students and mentees.

“We wanted to express our heartfelt appreciation to our teachers who, like our parents and families, believed in us, guided us, and made countless sacrifices to help shape who we are today,” Tristan Timbol, Co-Chair of the 2025 Homecoming Committee, said.

“We are who we are because of them and the lessons they imparted. Through this donation, we hope to convey our deep gratitude, especially to the many teachers who dedicated their lives to forming and educating young people,” Timbol added.

The event will also support the AAA Order of the Blue Eagles Scholars, ensuring that deserving students continue to receive opportunities for a transformative Ateneo education. By empowering them to pursue their dreams, the Ateneo community helps shape individuals who can make meaningful contributions to society and become leaders who help build a brighter and stronger future for the country.

“We were blessed with the opportunity to receive an Ateneo education, and we appreciate even more now how it has shaped our careers, our communities, and our families. Because of this, it became important for us to help extend the same opportunity to deserving students. Just as the Ateneo opened doors for us after graduation, we hope to open doors for others—to learn, to grow, and to thrive within the Ateneo framework,” Don Umali, Co-Chair, shared.

Finally, a portion of the proceeds will likewise support the Ateneo Track and Field Team as part of efforts to elevate homegrown talent to a global stage and champion excellence in athletics — not only locally but in international competitions such as the Southeast Asian Games, the Olympics, and other global tournaments.

“A big theme that emerged among our batch as we began organizing the year-long Homecoming activities was the desire to give back to the community and to the people who supported us during our years in Ateneo,” Chef Ed Bugia, also a Co-Chair, explained.

“We spent half of our lives in Ateneo, and a central part of our formation was becoming men for others. In fact, our batch was among the first to experience the community immersion programs in high school. Because of this, it was important to us to create a lasting impact when selecting our beneficiaries for the year,” Bugia described.

Aside from the meaningful causes it supports, the Homecoming also promises One Big Fun, giving attendees a chance to celebrate, reconnect, and reminisce with fellow Ateneans through an evening filled with good food courtesy of Manam and Moment Catering, and excellent drinks and hydration, including soda, juices, beers, and select spirits.

Providing additional excitement and energy to the event are comedian Victor Anastacio and the ever-versatile, popular hosts PJ Lanot and Mica Pineda.

Fun and lively performances, including a comedy set by Victor, smooth DJ sets, and a headline performance by The Itchyworms, also await Ateneans.

To top it all off, Ateneans can look forward to exciting raffle prizes ranging from hotel stays at Aruga by Rockwell Hotel Makati, Astoria Current Boracay, Astoria Palawan, Astoria Plaza Ortigas, Fili Hotel NUSTAR Cebu, Grand Hyatt Manila, Green Sun Hotel Makati, to assorted items which include Kodak Document Scanners, Human Nature gift baskets, Havaianas flip-flops, Nike gym bags, a Casio G Shock watch, all the way to a Kawasaki motorcycle and many more — ensuring surprises and laughs throughout the night.

One Big Feast will start with the honoring of heroes at 3:00 PM, followed by a Eucharistic Celebration at the Church of the Gesu at 3:30 PM. After the Mass, there will be a short Marian Procession going to the High School grounds.

Gates for the Homecoming will open at 5:30 PM, and the program will start at 6:30 PM, providing Ateneans with the opportunity to bond with former teachers, expand their network with fellow alumni, and engage with sponsors and beneficiaries.

The eventful night is made possible through the support of PLDT, Smart Communications, Filinvest Land Inc., Rockwell Land, Moment Catering, San Miguel Corporation, and Astoria Hotels and Resorts.

The Silver Jubilarians also partnered with Bay Marine Subic, Uy Coronel, and Villamor Law Offices, Nissan, Alveo Land, Globe Telecom, Jollibee, Red Ribbon, Infinity One Globaltech Inc., A+ Premium Tech Depot, Casio Watch Outlet, Nike Factory Store, Tubig Pilipinas Inc., SMDC, Shell Pilipinas, AGITechnik.ai, Jesus Christ Supporters, ECR Card Marketing, Ovialand Inc., Phinma Prism Property Dev’t Corp., Phinma Properties Sales and Marketing Inc., BYD Carmona – Puremotion Inc., Union Trading Croporation, Lion Ready Mix Concrete Inc., Vorel Inc., Isuzu, Kohler, Kservico Trade Inc., and GCash.

  • A Magical Collaboration: KAIA SOPHIA, FINA CHILL, PROD AXIA Bring “WICKED: For Good” to Life!

A Magical Collaboration: KAIA SOPHIA, FINA CHILL, PROD AXIA Bring “WICKED: For Good” to Life!

After placing in the Top 10 of the Universal Pictures Awiting Wicked contest, Sophia Mercado of KAIA and Chill Paloma of FINA walked away with something even more meaningful than a win. Even though they did not secure the chance to be officially featured by the franchise, both artists felt their connection to the song was unfinished. That shared spark led them to create a PAP Live performance of “For Good”, filmed at the soon to open new studio by PROD AXIA called STUDIO AXIA.

A Collaboration Born from Love for Wicked

The idea came naturally. Sophia shared, “A mutual friend suggested it because she knows we both love Wicked. We hopped onto the idea right away because we are really fans of the movie and the artists in it.” Chill echoed the sentiment, saying, “The vibe with Sophia just made sense. It felt really exciting to bring this song to life together.”

When they learned they would be performing the full duet, Sophia said, “We were very excited because even the short snippet we did before was already so much fun. We always wanted to make a full cover.” Chill added, “To perform one of the greatest songs ever with a friend is something you do not want to miss.”

    Stepping Into Glinda and Elphaba

For Sophia, tapping into Glinda meant accessing a softer part of herself. “Channeling her vulnerable side felt very personal,” she said. “I was not just telling her story, but also tapping into one of my dream roles.”

Chill approached Elphaba with her own emotional compass. “There is something unforgettable about breathing life into a character who is misunderstood yet strong. It reminded me of why I love theater.”

A Blend of Voices and Friendship

Despite their different vocal styles, their harmonies came together almost instantly. Sophia explained, “It was surprising how naturally our voices matched. With just a bit of rehearsal we clicked. Listening to each other helped us become better singers for each other.” Chill shared, “Working with Sophia made everything easy. We understood each other musically and personally.”

Both artists are deeply connected to the message of “For Good”. Sophia said, “This song always makes me emotional. Every person we meet leaves something in us, even when we do not realize it.” Chill shared, “It is about closure, growth, and valuing the connections that shape us.”

    A Comfortable Creative Space

The day of the shoot felt natural for both artists. Sophia shared, “Being in a space where everything was prepared made it easier to focus on my performance. I was grateful to be surrounded by a team that supported what I needed.”

Chill added, “The shoot felt warm, familiar, and very collaborative. It was like hanging out with friends while creating something meaningful.”

Their favorite moments extended beyond the set itself. “Our dressing room conversations were so memorable,” Sophia said. “It felt like bonding as much as working.” Chill echoed, “It really felt like home. That energy made the performance even more heartfelt.”

    A Collaboration Filled With Heart

Their PAP Live performance is more than a cover. It is a celebration of Wicked, friendship, and artistic growth. It is a reflection of what happens when artists show trust, vulnerability, and love for the craft.

Sophia described the collaboration as “Wholesome.” Chill called it “Unforgettable.” Their hope is simple. “We want people to feel touched,” Sophia said. “We hope they feel the importance of friendship.” Chill added, “We want them to feel all the emotion we poured into the song.”

With sincerity, talent, and genuine connection at the center, their rendition of “For Good” stands as a heartfelt tribute to the relationships that change us.

Novocrane’s Musical Journey Is As Lively As Their Latest Release “Moshpit”!

Novocrane is gaining traction in the alternative and indie music world, highlighted in this year’s Jack Daniel’s On Stage campaign—a nine-month program featuring rising artists in Metro Manila. They’re just getting started; the band just released their latest single “Moshpit.” This track serves as an anthem for those seeking deeper connections amid life’s frustrations, longing, numbness, and dissatisfaction, offering the release of shared energy in a crowd where everyone wants the same thing.

“Moshpit” captures the desire to dance, experience live music, and connect with strangers over shared excitement, creating a judgment-free space where joy prevails, problems fade, and adrenaline surges. The song celebrates the live music environment, where the music feels immediate and liberating, delivering honest energy that resonates deeply. Verse 1:
    This is nothing personal yeah
I can’t feel my legs at all
Wasting time learning all about logic
Same old bands in the radio
    My favorite song
    It’s been way too long
    Since I’ve heard it
    I remember drowning in love
    Staying up late
Now it’s “fuck outta my face”

    Chorus:
Let the bodies hit the floor
    I’m way too
    Oversensitive about
    All that I’ve done
I’m not really here, don’t mind me
I just wanna live in a moshpit
    Think I overthink too much,
    I thought so
Should I tell them where I’ve been?
    Too late I’m drunk
    I don’t really care, what’s the problem?
I just wanna live in a moshpit

    Verse 2:
    Happy to be catching up
    Back it up yea
Every club now needs a metronome
    I don’t know why
But you got me acting like I’m on drugs
    I don’t even know shit
    I’m only 23

    Fake love, small talks,
    Get out of my sight
    Cheap wines, missed flights,
    Keep running out of time
    I got nothing to hide
So just “fuck outta my face”

    Chorus 2:
Let the bodies hit the floor
    I’m way too
    Oversensitive about
    All that I’ve done
I’m not really here, don’t mind me
I just wanna live in a moshpit
    Think i overthink too much,
    I thought so
Should I tell them where I’ve been?
    Too late I’m drunk
    I don’t really care, what’s the problem?

    Post Chorus
I just wanna live in a moshpit
I just wanna live in a moshpit
I just wanna live in a moshpit
    (I just wanna live)
I just wanna live in a moshpit
    (I just wanna live)
I just wanna live in a moshpit

The first look at the expanded world of BuyBust: The Undesirables was unveiled today at JAFF Creative Asia 2025 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Acclaimed Filipino director Erik Matti, together with Indonesia’s Joko Anwar, took center stage at today’s Creator-to-Creator session to spotlight Netflix’s continued commitment to investing in original content for the region’s library and exploring the brand’s role in the ever-evolving opportunities available to creatives across the region.

The filmmakers’ session served as the perfect platform to announce Netflix’s first collaboration with Matti, whose creative direction and meticulous character exploration in BuyBust: The Undesirables make the project one to watch out for. The clip offered a glimpse into the depth of Matti’s world-building and reintroduced viewers to several returning characters from the 2018 film, including Anne Curtis and the addition of Gerald Anderson, alongside a slate of new characters and an even bolder narrative that pushes the original story to new heights.

During his panel at JAFF, Matti shared that shortly after the film’s release in 2018, they partnered with Netflix Philippines to expand the original Buybust universe through a 9-episode series set to be released sometime in 2026. When asked about the expanded universe of BuyBust on Netflix and what it will focus on, he said “We moved on from the drug war story and we made it about rich and poor — the powerful and the powerless. We wanted to talk about the Philippines as a country and whether it was impossible to ‘clean it up’ without going political. We are focusing on real characters and the real conflicts of each of them.”

BuyBust: The Undesirables is poised to underscore not only Netflix’s ongoing commitment to expanding its repository of robust original Southeast Asian titles, but also the brand’s dedication to elevating the most compelling and distinctive creative voices in the region.

Watch the first look clip below.

A vengeful ex-cop (Curtis) and a haunted corporate outcast (Anderson) are drawn together by the murder of a senator’s daughter and a citywide manhunt for the mysterious drug lord known only as “Judas.” When the trail leads to Matungao, an anarchic exile zone outside the Capital where the rule of law has long been abandoned, the two unlikely allies must navigate betrayal at every turn, unmask the real Judas, and decide how much of themselves they’re willing to sacrifice in a society that treats human life as disposable.

  • Watsons Playlist: All the Feels Ignites Araneta With a Night of Catharsis, Community, and Pure Live Music

Watsons Playlist: All the Feels Ignites Araneta With a Night of Catharsis, Community, and Pure Live Music

The Smart Araneta Coliseum was alive with energy on November 29 as thousands gathered for Watsons Playlist: All the Feels, a multi-artist concert built around emotion, connection, and the power of OPM. The event delivered a steady flow of standout performances, smooth transitions, and crowd-driven moments that highlighted the depth of today’s local music scene.

Zack Tabudlo opened the show to loud cheers, immediately setting a strong emotional tone. His set drew the audience in with raw, heartfelt delivery, prompting large-scale sing-alongs throughout the arena. It was a powerful start that established the night’s theme of honest storytelling.

The mood then continue to be lifted when Hey June! took the stage, bringing youthful energy and upbeat charm. Their presence encouraged the crowd to relax and move along, providing a refreshing contrast to the show’s introspective opening.

One of the loudest reactions of the night came as The Juans appeared. Known for their deeply emotional “hugot” sound, the band sparked immediate engagement, with fans singing from start to finish. Waves of phone lights filled the venue during their set, creating one of the concert’s most visually striking moments.

Earl Agustin followed with a minimalist, calming performance that briefly stilled the arena. His warm vocals and stripped-down arrangements offered a quiet but meaningful pause, showing the effectiveness of simplicity amid a high-energy program.

A special collaboration segment soon brought The Juans, Earl Agustin, and Hey June! together onstage. The number unfolded starting with The Juans, followed by Agustin, then Hey June!, highlighting the range of OPM expression in a single seamless sequence. It was one of the evening’s most talked-about surprises.

Anticipation built once more as Ben&Ben stepped into the spotlight. Their entrance drew some of the night’s loudest cheers, and their set delivered a mix of lyrical warmth, tight harmonies, and emotional resonance. The band’s rapport with the audience was evident, with fans responding enthusiastically to each song.

Rico Blanco continued the momentum with a set that blended nostalgia and renewed energy. Performing hits that have defined eras of OPM, he commanded the stage with ease, earning strong reactions from both longtime listeners and younger fans.

The concert reached its finale with the highly anticipated collaboration between Rico Blanco and Ben&Ben. The pairing drew a thunderous response with their rendition of “Your Universe”, marking a rare cross-generational moment that underscored the evolution and continued influence of OPM.

All artists later returned for a collective finale that wrapped the night on a unified and celebratory note. As attendees exited the coliseum, many still buzzing with excitement, it was clear Watsons Playlist: All the Feels had succeeded in delivering a well-curated, emotionally rich music experience driven by the strength of today’s Filipino artists.

  • THE SIREN CALLS: Sue Ramirez captivates as 2026 Ginebra San Miguel Calendar Girl

THE SIREN CALLS: Sue Ramirez captivates as 2026 Ginebra San Miguel Calendar Girl

Ginebra San Miguel, the world’s largest-selling gin, has officially unveiled actress and performer Sue Ramirez as its 2026 Calendar Girl during a media launch held at the Manila Diamond Hotel recently, introducing her as the brand’s newest “Siren” through six captivating layouts that highlight her confidence, strength, and allure.

The announcement marks a major career milestone for Sue, who previously served as a GSM Blue brand ambassador for six years, making this comeback all the more meaningful.

“When I received the wonderful news, I cried tears of pure joy,” she recalls. “I honestly didn’t expect to come back or get this chance again. It was something I had prayed for.”

Sue’s selection reflects years of hard work, perseverance, and personal growth, culminating in what she describes as one of her most empowering roles to date. Taking center stage at the launch, Sue captivated guests with the debut of six calendar concepts, each crafted to embody the spirit of a contemporary Siren.

“Nobody else embodies the modern Siren quite like Sue Ramirez,” says GSM AVP for Marketing Ron Molina. “She represents a woman who not only turns heads but also inspires others through her confidence, authenticity, and passion. Sue doesn’t just lure attention—she attracts success.”

    MANIFESTATION OF STRENGTH AND FAITH

Before the glamour of the calendar shoot, however, Sue faced a personal challenge: two injuries that sidelined her for months. “When I got the call, I wasn’t physically ready. I had just recovered from an ankle and hand injury. I gained weight because I couldn’t move much for almost four months.”

Instead of letting that setback hold her back, Sue used it as motivation. “It became my wake-up call—to live healthier, to eat better, and to move again.”

For Sue, being a Ginebra San Miguel Calendar Girl is more than just beauty—it’s about self-love and discipline. “It’s not just about looking good on camera,” she says. “It’s about showing how much you value yourself and your well-being.

For decades, Ginebra San Miguel has chosen women who embody confidence, character, and the tapang spirit. “It is someone who inspires and upholds the brand’s character. Sue fits the criteria perfectly—an empowered woman with personality and authenticity, whose story resonates even with ordinary people,” Mr. Molina adds.

Indeed, Sue’s winning mindset radiates through every calendar layout.

    DIFFERENT FACETS OF A SIREN

Each calendar layout reveals a different side of Sue—playful, athletic, sultry, and strong—reflecting the many facets of the modern Filipina and the “never-say-die” spirit of Ginebra San Miguel.

“We have so many creative concepts!” Sue says excitedly.

In “Sporty Siren,” Sue takes us to the basketball court in a post-game scene that highlights Ginebra’s team spirit. “Nightlife Siren” captures the party energy of GSM Blue Mojito, while “Porter’s Siren” features a refreshing portside scene inspired by Freedom Island.

She laughs recalling the “Barber’s Siren,” one of her favorites: “That’s the sultry one! Very pasyon de amor vibes—sexy but still classy, like Primera Light.”

Then there’s “Bao-Bao Siren,” where Sue poses beside a three-wheeled trike (bao-bao), a popular mode of transport in the countryside, where locals unwind with a glass of Vino Kulafu. And, of course, a Calendar Girl is not complete without the “Beach Siren,” evoking the soothing scenes of water and waves, paired perfectly with GSM Premium.

All these layouts connect to this year’s launch theme, “Street Siren,” tying together the calendar’s real-life, road-side inspirations—from the basketball court, to the barbershop, all the way to the portside. The program visually showed how the calendar scenes reflect everyday Filipino settings found right along the street, familiar places transformed into striking visuals through Sue’s presence.

    FEARLESS AND CONFIDENT

Asked what she brings to the long line of iconic Calendar Girls, Sue answers firmly: “I’ll bring Sue to the table.”

“I’m very fearless. I know who I am. I’m not saying I have no insecurities, but I’m confident in who I’ve become. People will see that in the calendar layouts. They’ll see my fearlessness.”

Beyond beauty and glamour, Sue hopes the 2026 calendar inspires others to be brave and hopeful. “If I can do it, so can you,” she says. “Don’t give up on yourself. Claim your blessings and work hard for them. One day, you might find yourself answering that call. Success will come sooner than you think.”

  • Limited Holiday Treat: Catch Crayon Shin-chan Dinosaur Movie & The First Ride only in Robinsons Movieworld.

Limited Holiday Treat: Catch Crayon Shin-chan Dinosaur Movie & The First Ride only in Robinsons Movieworld.

Robinsons Movieworld is bringing global cinema closer to Filipino audiences with the exclusive screenings of Crayon Shin-Chan: Our Dinosaur Diary from December 3 to 15, 2025 followed by the highly-anticipated Korean film The First Ride starting on December 10, 2025. These limited-run international titles are the perfect holiday treats for viewers of all ages with tickets starting at P300.

    Crayon Shin-Chan: Our Dinosaur Diary

The story begins with the opening of “Dino’s Island,” a Tokyo theme park that uses cutting-edge technology to bring back dinosaurs that have been extinct for millions of years. The park is run by the flamboyant entrepreneur Bubble Odoroki, who is voiced by guest star Takumi Saito. Shin and his Kasukabe Defense Squad, Kazama, Masao, Nene, Bo, and Ai-chan get VIP tickets and jump right into the chaos of the past. But when Shiro, Shin’s loyal dog, finds a small dinosaur named Nana who can change shape, their summer adventure turns into a high-stakes chase. The kids have to deal with friendship, family drama, and a full-on dino invasion of the city while keeping Nana hidden from park officials and figuring out Odoroki’s shady plans. It’s classic Shin-chan: everyday silliness turns into world-saving fun, all told through Shin’s “dinosaur diary.”

Directed by Shinobu Sasaki featuring the voices of Yumiko Kobayashi, Miki Narahashi, and Toshiyuki Morikawa, the film delivers the signature humor and charm that fans have adored for decades.

Great for kids, nostalgic for adults, and the best “dinosaur + fart jokes” combo you’ll see all year. Recommended family watch.

    The First Ride

The First Ride is a South Korean adventure comedy directed by Nam Dae-joong. It promises a wild trip, but it ends up being something much more meaningful. Kang Ha-neul plays the perfectionist Tae-jung, Kim Young-kwang plays the ambitious Do-jin, Cha Eun-woo plays the mysterious Yeon-min, Kang Young-seok plays the strange Geum-bok, and Han Sun-hwa plays the no-nonsense The movie follows four friends who have been friends for a long time and finally go on the trip abroad they dreamed of as kids. What starts out as a fun trip to Thailand turns into a chaotic storm of mistakes, hidden truths, and raw emotional confrontations.

The cast is excellent: Kang Ha-neul’s deadpan perfectionist anchors the madness, Kim Young-kwang brings depth to his struggling athlete, Cha Eun-woo quietly breaks your heart, and Kang Young-seok steals every scene.

  • Ben&Ben expands The Traveller Across Dimensions universe

Ben&Ben expands The Traveller Across Dimensions universe

Album tie-ins include an e-book and plush collectibles of characters from the TTAD story.

In celebration of the first anniversary of the release of The Traveller Across Dimensions (TTAD) concept album, the country’s biggest folk-pop band Ben&Ben is taking it to the next level by releasing various album tie-in materials and merchandise to bring the album to life.

The 2025 Awit Awards Album of the Year honoree was released on November 29, 2024, and went on to produce a number of hits such as “Autumn,” “Could Be Something,” and “Triumph,” which received the Best Performance by a Group Artist nod from the same awards program.

They mounted the first TTAD concert on December 14, 2024, playing to a sold-out crowd at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. The show was packaged as an animation-concert hybrid that combined live music and animation to tell the story of Liwanag, the album’s titular character. Since then, the band has brought the show to various parts of the country, including Cebu City, Bacolod City, Baguio City, Davao City, and Cagayan de Oro City, with the last stop for the year happening in Iloilo City on December 7.

To reach an even wider audience, the band last month released an e-book companion to the TTAD album, which fleshes out Liwanag’s story in greater detail. Liwanag belongs to a race of inter-dimensional beings called Travellers, whose goal is to reach a place called the Duyan Dimension—a place where all Travellers are said to achieve perpetual inner peace.

In her journey, she goes through three Dimensions: Light, depicting innocence; Energy, depicting struggle; and Feel, depicting maturity. She writes 12 songs along the way, which relate her experiences in each of the Dimensions. In every step that she takes, she tries to answer a fundamental question: “How must we live?” After many adventures and both good and bad experiences, she eventually reaches the Duyan Dimension, her ultimate goal.

Liwanag’s songs—the 12 songs in the TTAD album—reflect the various experiences of the band members over the past several years and showcase their growth as people, as songwriters, and as musicians.

While the songs themselves reflect the whole TTAD narrative, the companion e-book gives the story more flesh.

To make the TTAD universe even more tangible, the band has also launched the Traveller Plush Series, featuring four characters from the TTAD lore: Liwanag, Mahiwaga, Puhon, and Dilim. These are advocacy-driven collectibles inspired by the TTAD story’s message of being “present with love.”

“In the story of The Traveller Across Dimensions, to be ‘present with love’ is what is generally known as mindfulness, or being aware of our thoughts and emotions, and responding to the present moment with love and kindness. As you listen to the songs in the album and read the e-book to get a more detailed story about the Traveller, you will be taken on a journey through the three dimensions to discover what it means to be present with love,” Ben&Ben said.

Join us in our journey into the TTAD universe. Let us never forget to always be “present with love.”

  • SB19 releases THE FIRST TAKE versions of “DAM” and “Time” on digital music platforms worldwide

SB19 releases THE FIRST TAKE versions of “DAM” and “Time” on digital music platforms worldwide

Available globally starting today, these exclusive one-take recordings mark another trailblazing achievement for the P-Pop supergroup.

Sony Music Entertainment announces the official worldwide release of THE FIRST TAKE versions of “DAM” and “Time,” two of SB19’s most celebrated hits. Starting today, music fans across the globe can stream the new versions on all digital music platforms.

Both “DAM” and “Time” were originally showcased in exclusive one-take performances on THE FIRST TAKE, which premiered on November 3 and November 24, 2025, simultaneously. The releases mark SB19’s notable return to the influential Japanese YouTube channel, where they hold the distinction as the first and only Filipino and Southeast Asian act to perform and the first ever to do so twice.

THE FIRST TAKE is a Japanese YouTube channel that invites artists to perform for only one take. Some of the artists who have appeared on The First Take include BTS’ V, Harry Styles, Stray Kids, and Hitsujibungaku—to name a few.

Representing the Philippines on a global stage remains a milestone the group deeply treasures. Pablo shares, “We are happy and honored to be back in TFT. It has always been our goal to champion Filipino talent and perform on a globally recognized platform. This is a huge opportunity and honor for us, and we are excited to share our passion with the world.”

For Stell, the opportunity to perform on a prestigious platform like THE FIRST TAKE is an achievement worth celebrating.  “Our first appearance already made an impact, and this return makes us even prouder. Performing on THE FIRST TAKE is a huge achievement. It may not be a trophy, but it is an honor to share our music and represent our country. We hope that more Filipino artists will have the opportunity to perform on that stage and share the richness of our music with the world.”

Josh adds, “We used to daydream about performing there, and now we’ve grown and are finally doing it, not just for SB19 but also to show what real Filipino talent is.”

Performing on THE FIRST TAKE is unlike any other stage. Ken emphasized the pressure and pride involved in performing for the global platform. “Although the performance is similar to what we’ve done before, we did the song in a single take. It really is a true one-take recording, and the first take is what they used. We put in a lot of hard work to give our best and perform without mistakes. We are truly grateful for the opportunity and feel proud that we were able to share this moment with everyone.”

Apart from their record-breaking stint at THE FIRST TAKE, SB19 also made history as the first Filipino group to chart on Billboard Japan, debuting at No. 17 on the Top Album Sales Chart with Simula At Wakas EP, released in September 2025. Additionally, their song “Time” previously reached No. 1 on the Line Music Japan World Music Top 50 chart, while “DAM” holds the record for being the second most viewed Filipino music video within 24 hours after its release.

SB19 is also the first Filipino act to make it into The Official MENA (Middle East & North Africa) Chart, entering the UAE Top 10 at No. 7 and the Saudi Arabia Top 20 at No. 17.

“We are very happy and proud to represent Filipino talent and to showcase the skills of Filipinos around the world,’ Justin explains. “Being part of TFT for the second time is such an honor because we know this show is recognized globally. This opportunity brings us one step closer to our goal.”

THE FIRST TAKE versions of SB19’s “DAM” and “Time” are now available on all digital music platforms worldwide via Sony Music Entertainment.

  • Lee Chae Min Makes a Royal First Visit in Manila with Unforgettable ‘Chaem-into You’ Fan Meeting

Lee Chae Min Makes a Royal First Visit in Manila with Unforgettable ‘Chaem-into You’ Fan Meeting

Lee Chae Min turned his first Manila visit into a tapestry of heartfelt moments, woven with laughter, sincerity, and shared joy.

Bon Appétit, Your Majesty actor LEE CHAE MIN ruled Manila with charm, sincerity, and effortless warmth during his first-ever fan meeting in the Philippines. On November 23, 2025, the rising actor graced the New Frontier Theater for the 2025 LEE CHAE MIN FANMEETING TOUR ‘Chaem-into you’ in MANILA, presented by PULP Live World, VARO Entertainment, Pinnalive, and Merry Go Round, marking a memorable night that Manila CHAEMFs will treasure.

Best known for his standout role as the king in Bon Appétit, Your Majesty and his performances in High Class, Love All Play, Alchemy of Souls, Crash Course in Romance, See You in My 19th Life, Hierarchy, and Crushology 101, LEE CHAE MIN continues to prove his growing global influence. But in Manila, he showed a deeper side of himself—one that was warm, playful, emotional, and eager to give fans a night to remember.

The fan meeting opened with a breathtaking moment: the lights dimmed, then slowly brightened to reveal LEE CHAE MIN seated at a piano, dressed in a white ensemble, performing a piano version of Stay With Me from Bon Appétit, Your Majesty. He shared afterward that it was his first time receiving such overwhelming cheers while playing piano, expressing how happy he was to feel the warmth of Manila fans. “With your cheers, there’s nothing I can’t do,” he said, grateful for the energy that filled the venue.

Visiting Manila for the first time, he admitted that the first thing on his mind upon arriving was Manila CHAEMFs, and that it’s hot. But he quickly warmed up to the city and the people, telling fans, You are more than my expectations.” He then explained the meaning behind the fan meeting title Chaem-into you: “Into you” means falling into someone, and combined with his name, it symbolizes both fans falling into him, and him falling into his fans.

The event continued with “IN TMI CHAE MIN,” a segment where fans learned more intimate details about the actor. He revealed that his favorite animal is a puppy, sharing stories about his two expressive dogs. Fashion-wise, he prefers simple monochromatic colors, with black and white dominating his small wardrobe. “I can get ready in 10 minutes,” he joked. He also mentioned that he showers immediately after schedules, listens to OSTs and ballads, and maintains his physique through a strict routine of 30-minute ab workouts six days a week paired with a disciplined diet. When asked what part of his face he likes most, he confidently answered, “My eyes,” and later shared that he hopes to one day portray roles like a lawyer or professor for his Manila fans.

Fans were also treated to “Chaemin Bank,” a nod to his year and seven months as an emcee on Music Bank with LE SSERAFIM’s Eunchae. Speaking in Tagalog, he introduced himself as “Ako po si Minnie Minnie Chaemin, Bank Manager,” which drew loud cheers. He continued joking with fans in Filipino and other local languages, proving just how game, spontaneous, and considerate he was. At one point, he even told the audience, “Getting closer to you, you look prettier,” sending the crowd into a frenzy.

The night’s energy grew even brighter during “CHAEMission,” a playful segment that perfectly showcased his quick wit and charm.

    • Challenge – He successfully completed his first mission.
    • Harmony – He acted out a food menu using only his body, with fans correctly guessing the Filipino classic leche flan.
    • Acting – Fans had to identify the food he ate in a scene, which turned out to be samgyetang. He shared that while he isn’t a big fan of sweets, he enjoyed the macaron because it had Korean flavors and wasn’t too sweet.
    • Exciting – A 60-second time limit game where he chose a fan wearing denim—matching his own outfit—for a fun round of charades.
    • Memory: Tell Me Your Wish – A heart-tugging segment where he granted fans’ wishes, from selcas and birthday greetings to a hug where he teasingly asked, “Front hug or back hug?”

Between the laughter and games, fans were surprised by a heartfelt VCR showing his visit to a Tonkatsu Hotpot restaurant, following which he suddenly appeared among the crowd in a denim co-ord outfit, serenading fans up close. Manila CHAEMFs delighted in every moment—at one point even handing him a mini electric fan to beat the Manila heat.

But the most emotional moment came when fans unveiled a special fan project video. LEE CHAE MIN became visibly moved, expressing just how much the night meant to him. “The time I spent with Manila CHAEMFs today was one of the best days I can choose among the days of my life,” he reflected, promising to become a better actor and person who will never disappoint his supporters. He emphasized his gratitude again later, saying, “I’m not really sure if saying ‘I love you’ is enough, but I just really love you this much.”

To close the evening, he sang “I Find You,” from Bon Appétit, Your Majesty. “The lyrics say that no matter the time and space, I’ll make an effort to find you,” he said. “Next time we meet, I hope you’re still gonna be here. Promise? Salamat po.”

From heartfelt confessions to Tagalog phrases, spontaneous dancing, fan interactions, and emotional moments, LEE CHAE MIN delivered a fan meeting that felt personal, intimate, and unforgettable. Manila CHAEMFs responded with the same love, filling the venue with cheers, smiles, and unwavering support.

His parting message summed up the night perfectly:

“Thank you so much, and I love you all. With all your love and support, I will try my best to become the best actor. I’ll see you again.”

Zootopia 2 Is the Rare Sequel That Actually Outruns the Original

The Zootopia 2 advance screening at the Trinoma Mall was a full-on immersive experience that delighted kids and their inner-child-accompanying adults alike. Interactive installations, hands-on activities, and the screening itself left everyone buzzing with excitement.

Nine years later, Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde are back as rookie ZPD partners. A deadly snake in the mammal-only city triggers a new conspiracy, forcing them into mandatory counseling while they hunt the culprit.

The sequel sharpens everything that worked before: tighter mystery, bolder satire on inclusion and fear of the “other,” and non-stop animal puns that somehow keep landing. Animation is stunning especially the new reptile districts and the action set pieces pop. Jason Bateman and Ginnifer Goodwin remain perfect; new additions like Ke Huy Quan’s chameleon fit seamlessly.

It’s one of the funniest animated films in years, smart enough for adults, kinetic enough for kids. Minor drags in the therapy scenes and a slightly less shocking villain keep it from topping the original, but it comes close.

4/5 stars – Faster, funnier, and more confident. A worthy follow-up that proves the first wasn’t a fluke. Now showing only in cinemas.
