Chris Hemsworth’s newest action movie “Extraction 2” has its first trailer available on Netflix. The project is a follow-up to the blockbuster 2020 movie that’s also directed by Sam Hargrave.
Courtesy of Netflix
Joe Russo, who produced the movie with his brother Anthony, is also back to pen the script for the much awaited sequel. It is based on the Ande Parks, the Russo brothers, Fernando Leon Gonzalez, and Eric Skillman comic novel “Ciudad.”
โAfter barely surviving the events of the first movie, Rake is back as the Australian black ops mercenary, tasked with another deadly mission: rescuing the battered family of a ruthless Georgian gangster from the prison where they are being held.โ
You can check out the trailer here:
As black ops mercenary Tyler Rake, Chris Hemsworth reprises his role in the film. Golshifteh Farahani, Adam Bessa, Daniel Bernhardt, and Tinatin Dalakishvili also play supporting roles. Rake, of course, was assumed dead at the conclusion of the first movie, but the door was left just slightly open so that he could return. It’s understandable why Rake is returning given that “Extraction” received more than 231 million hours of viewing in its first 28 days, at least based on Netflix’s internal data.
“Extraction 2” premieres June 16th only on Netflix.

Since his solo debut in 2019, Baekhyun proved his might as a strong solo artist, breaking records and writing history in K-Pop. His debut extended play City Lights sold more than half-a-million copies in 2019 and became the best-selling album by a solo artist of the 2010s in South Korea. He then broke his own record with his second EP Delight which became the first album by a solo artist in South Korea to have sold over one million copies in 19 years. The EXO member continued on the success of his solo releases with Bambi. RUNNING MAN in Manila was a dream that finally became a reality!
RUNNING MAN: A DECADE OF LAUGHTER 2023 IN MANILA was a realization of a decade-long dream for many fans of the long-running South Korean variety show. For the first time since the show’s birth in 2010, the cast of Running Man met their beloved Runners in the Philippines โ unlocking new core memories that will be cherished for a lifetime.
Big smiles and loud cheers welcomed the members of Running Man at the MOA Arena last April 1.
Thousands of fans gathered last April 1 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena with excitement, a tinge of nervousness, and an effort to let the feeling finally sink in that โ after three years since the initial event announcement and after delays brought by the CoViD-19 pandemic โ it is happening. When the lights dimmed to signal the start of the show, thunderous cheers enveloped the arena which grew louder as Yoo Jae Suk sang his way on stage to the tune of BtoB’s “Missing You”, waving and bowing to everyone. One after the other, the other members entered the stage to continue the serenade.
Yoo Jae Suk, Jee Suk Jin, Kim Jong Kook, HaHa, Song Ji Hyo, Yang Se Chan, and Jeon So Min looked on tenderly with grateful smiles on their faces as they waved and bowed to the fans who reciprocated the gestures with cheers and excited waves. The night’s hosts Ryan Bang and Kring Kim initiated the official welcome to the fan meeting event and gave the members the chance to say their personal greetings to their Runners.
Their greetings are filled with expressions of gratitude and admiration as well as joy at witnessing the fan meeting come to fruition. And in a typical Philippine concert/event crowd flair, the crowd made sure that their favorite stars knew how happy they were with cheers ringing out loudly and proudly.
South Korea’s Nation MC, Yoo Jae Suk, bows to the Philippine Runners as he takes the stage during the opening. The members opened the fan meeting event with BtoB’s “Missing You”.
The fan event highlighted the close bond between the members that developed over the many years they have spent together. Running Man will mark its 13th anniversary in July of this year after premiering on July 11, 2010. The cast members maintained a humble and appreciative attitude despite the show’s enormous popularity and success, as evidenced by their interactions with the audience and the seemingly unending “thank yous” they give with each opportunity they have.
The fan meeting also allowed Filipino fans to witness firsthand how the cast play games. Yoo Jae Suk, Jee Suk Jin, Kim Jong Kook, HaHa, Song Ji Hyo, Yang Se Chan, and Jeon So Min took on the challengesโ the relay game and the K-Pop dance quizโ with Runners. Kim Jong Kook and his partner triumphantly overcame the relay game in 23 seconds. The victory gifted Kim Jong Kook’s partner with signed personal items of the members. Meanwhile, the K-Pop dance quiz divided the members into two teams and an intense dance quiz ensued with both teams earning two points. As a prize, the Runners took Polaroid photos with the members.
Kim Jong Kook said he does not show off his toned abs but because the occasion is special, he granted fans’ request.
But the thrill never subsided, and the treats kept coming with performances from the Running Man ensemble. With the 2017 song “Artist” by Zico, Yang Se Chan opened the performances. Afterwards, to everyone’s amazement, Ji Suk Jin performed “Ikaw” by Yeng Constantino. In response to the wonderful present, Filipino Runners sang along to Big-Nosed hyungnim. With her rendition of the boy band’s 2015 hit song “My Home,” Jeon So Min, who has acknowledged being a fan of 2PM, made every Hottest proud.
The fan meeting also welcomed a special appearance from Yoo San Seul (Yoo Jae Suk’s trot singer alter ego) who gave a hyped stage of “Redevelopment of Love”. The hype continued to flourish as HaHa took the stage with M. Tyson for a mash-up of RGP’s songs, such as “Don’t Laugh” and “DANG DIGGI BANG”. Song Ji Hyo then gave the most adorable performance of Brave Girls’ hit song “Rollin’”. Concluding the individual stages, Kim Jong Kook serenaded Manila with Adele’s “Easy On Me” and his 2004 song from his Evolution album, “One Man”.
Song Ji Hyo and Jeon So Min returned on stage with IVE’s “Love Dive”, which was then followed by a sentimental stage of “Raise Your Voice” by HaHa and Kim Jong Kook. Yoo Jae Suk, Ji Suk Jin, and Jeon So Min took the baton next with “Confession of Your Love”.
The sweetness of the evening persisted with a duet between the show’s youngest members Jeon So Min and Yang Se Chan who reminded everyone at the venue of the sweetness of first love with their rendition of Reply 1997‘s original soundtrack “All for You”. The duet stages continued with Ji Suk Jin and Song Ji Hyo’s “Don’t Give”, originally performed by Loco and Mamamoo’s Hwasa. Closing the performances, Yoo Jae Suk, Kim Jong Kook, HaHa, and Yang Se Chan let out their hip-hop sides as they danced and rapped to “New Thing”, Zico’s viral song from Street Man Fighter.
Ji Suk Jin is loved. The oldest Running Man member was showered with love as Filipino Runners gamely responded to his chants, while the other members were all smiles and laughs at his antics.
The members then took a moment to deliver their heartfelt messages to Filipino Runners, expressing their joy to have had the chance to meet Filipino Runners and promising to come back. And gratitude goes both ways. Filipino Runners prepared a special video message to the people who comforted them and made them happy even in the most difficult of times. It was an emotional and beautiful moment shared by everyone at the arena.
WE WAITED FOR SO LONG, BUT IT WAS WORTH IT. BECAUSE NOW WE CAN TELL YOU, THAT APART FROM A DECADE OF LAUGHTER, YOU’VE GIVEN US SO MUCH MORE. WE WILL KEEP ON RUNNING WITH YOU. MARAMING SALAMAT, RUNNING MAN.
FILIPINO RUNNERS
Before officially saying their goodbyes, the members performed Kim Jong Kook’s “Loveable”, Running Man theme song “I Like It”, RGP’s “Busan Vacance”, and Yoo San Seul’s “Redevelopment of Love”.
RUNNING MAN: A DECADE OF LAUGHTER 2023 IN MANILA ended with heartfelt gratitude and promises of meeting again. It was truly a realization of a dream, a memory that will be treasured for a lifetime, a story that will be written filled with moments of happiness and appreciation, and a promise to keep runningtogether.

At twenty years of age and now on the cusp of releasing his debut album 4TH WALL via RCA (ROW) & Sony Music (Australia), Ruelโs discovery of self-assurance is perfectly timed.
Executivelyย Producedย byย longtimecollaboratorย MPhazesย (Khalid,Noahย Cyrus,ย Remiย Wolf),ย 4THย WALLย wasย originallyย headingย downย aย Pop/R&Bย lane,ย however,ย theย pandemicย acted as a major personal and professional conduit for Ruel.
Ruel notes โIt took way longer than anticipated to get this record right. I spent the last 3 years writing it and wound up with over 100 songs. I rewrote half of them and re- recorded most of themโฆ Itโs been the biggest journey making this recordโฆโ.
These revelations are strikingly obvious in the 4TH WALL singles that Ruel has treated his audience to, including the dancefloor anthem GROWING UP IS ____, dream-like LET THE GRASS GROW, the poignant social and personal observations of YOU AGAINST YOURSELF, and most recently, the beautifully emotive ballad MUST BE NICE.
Since making his debut in 2017 at the age of 14, Ruel has fast become one of his generationโs most influential artists. Sitting with over 2 billion global streams, 1.2 million Instagram followers, and five Platinum records to his name, Ruel is both a seasoned global superstar and a record-breaking musician for tomorrowโs generation.
Add to this stellar collection of bucket list achievements (that most could only dream of), Ruel is also the youngest artist ever to win Breakthrough Artist at the ARIA Awards and the youngest artist to sell out the Sydney Opera Houseโฆ twice. Not surprisingly, Ruel has caught the attention of some of the industryโs most respected individualโs, including icon Elton John and musical tastemaker Zane Lowe both championing his career developments.
Along with three sold-out world tours, Ruel has shared stages with Khalid, Shawn Mendes, played Tyler, the Creatorโs Camp Flog Gnaw festival, and released collaborations with Denzel Curry, JVKE, Omar Apollo and Cosmoโs Midnight.
Now three EPs deep โ READY, FREE TIME and BRIGHT LIGHTS, RED EYES, the time is well and truly nigh for 4TH WALL to take flight. With an impressive collection of Platinum and Double Platinum hits including YOUNGER, DAZED & CONFUSED, PAINKILLER, REAL THING and FACE TO FACE, the release of 4TH WALL will further solidify his position as one of Australiaโs most successful artists.
Itโs safe to say that in just a few short years, Ruel has a biography that is nothing short of astonishing, and the international press tends to agree. Ruel has now graced the high- end pages of editorials such as Nylon, Vogue and GQ, and has received written praise from influential outlets including NME, The Face, famed celebrity and fine art photographer Rankinโs HUNGER TV and Coup De Main.
As his fans hold their collective breath in anticipation for a global tour announcement, Ruel is ready to reignite his position as one of the worldโs most exciting artists. โOkay, time to bring home my sound. I canโt waitโ โ Ruel

Dream Theater, comprised of James LaBrie, John Petrucci, Jordan Rudess, John Myung, and Mike Mangini, were in the middleof a sold-out world tour in support of their last release, Distance Over Time, and the 20th anniversary of Scenes From A Memory whena global pandemic brought the world to a stop. The musicians found themselves at home with LaBrie in Canada and the rest of the group in the States. As fate would have it, theyโd just finished construction on DTHQ (Dream Theater Headquarters), a combination live recording studio, rehearsal space, control room, equipment storage facility, and creative hive. With LaBrie in Canada, he initially wrote with the band via Zoom on a monitor in DTHQ. In March 2021, he flew down to New York, quarantined himself, and recorded his vocals face-to-face with Petrucci. The album, A View From The Top Of The World, ultimately threaded together lean and uncompromising hooks with tried-and-true technical proficiency.
“We just love to play our instruments,” observes Petrucci. “That never goes away. I love to be creative, write, and exercise that part of my mind. Weโve been able to do this for a long time, and we donโt take it for granted. Whenever we get together, we know we canโt disappoint ourselves or our fans, so we manage to try even harder.”
“We approach every album like itโs our first,” adds LaBrie. “Itโs been such a great ride, but weโre not going to stop.”
“My takeaway from Manila, for the first time, is that “it was incredible” and I reallyย donโtย know how to describe it better than we have. Weย didnโtย know what to expect; we did get there, and finally,ย weโreย doing the concert.ย It was an amazing experience; the fans were absolutely fantastic, and we could tell that they were having an amazing time and a great experience.ย Go, the first time there was phenomenal, andย thatโsย whyย weโreย coming back. Absolutely!” answered Labrie when asked about their takeaway from their first concert in the Philippines.ย Their “Top of the World” tour in the Philippines will take place at the New Frontier Theater on May 4, 2023 (8:00 p.m.), presented by Ovation Productions. The EP also gave them a Disc Bonsang at the 2020 Golden Disc Awards.
A year after, they came out with their first full album, 1 Billion Views, which sold more than 500,000 copies and hold the record of the highest sales for an album by a sub-unit in South Korea, surpassing the record they set with What A Life.
This year, EXO-SC will embark on a fancon tour, BACK TO BACK, that will see them perform and meet EXO-L in Asian cities in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Malaysia. Earlier this year, the boys held their first fancon in Jakarta.
In addition, Sehun and Chanyeol, together with EXO members Xiumin, Suho, Baekhyun, Chen, D.O., and Kai, will greet their fans with the 2023 EXO Fanmeeting โEXOโ Clockโto mark their 11th anniversary. The fan meeting will be held on April 8 and 9 at the KSPO Dome in Seoul.
The EXO-SC BACK TO BACK FANCON TOUR IN MANILA is presented by PULP Live World and Happee Hour.
Five months ago, WayV first stepped foot at The Big Dome for the I Pop U festival. It was quite an emotional event for the Weishennie fandom as a few days prior, SM Entertainment announced Ten and Winwinโs withdrawal from participation due to health reasons. The four members who flew in apologized for being unable to perform and shared heartfelt promises of returning at a better time.
And on March 26, WayV finally made good on that promise, bringing the 2023 WayV Fanmeeting Tour [Phantom]to Manila. Excited Weishennies lined up early at the gates of Araneta Coliseum donning white, red, and, black themed outfits, some even wearing masks inspired by the fan meeting’s theme – Phantom. The night took off with back-to-back bangers “Kick Back” and “Try My Luck”, followed by the group introduction.
Hendery was the star of the sole game segment, opening his personal luggage for โWhatโs In My Bag.โ Each item in his carrier bore a backstory, and he was quick to spin tales with items embedded to inject Filipino elements, like an abaniko and a Good Morning towel.
The game was designed to show a relatable side to Hendery, but as he unpacked, we learned about everyone else too. He brings nail clippers gifted to him by Yangyangโs mother, who Yangyang then proudly shared was also in attendance. Printed photos had them reminiscing about their time in the country last year, like dining on a boat and boarding a Vikings ride. They recalled fans screaming at them on the ride and checked if the same fans were in the audience. First-timer Ten mentioned a liking for polvoron and an interest in visiting Palawan, while Kun unintentionally spoiled possible Manila content by pointing out that they headed to Intramuros earlier in the day.
The group performed nine of their originals, including their latest single “Phantom”, and uber-sexy hits “Love Talk” and “Nectar”. A short cover medley included aespaโs “Illusion”, NCT Dreamโs “Candy“, and SHINeeโs “Sherlock”. They made full use of the outfit-change breaks to share a glimpse of songs that didnโt make the setlist. Kun and Xiaojun sang single verses of “Back To You”, “Sleepless”, and “After Midnight”. Meanwhile, Ten, Yangyang, and Hendery performed a snippet of fan-favorite “Low Low”, with the crowd supplying most of the lines.
The setlist was no surprise as there was little to no deviation from previous stops, but the joy of witnessing these songs live was euphoric.
A fan meeting is only as interesting as the artistsโ personalities, and it’s only fun for the audience if the artists themselves are having fun onstage. The WayV fan meeting became memorable not only because of the boys’ talent but also their banter. The strength of their bond was reflected in how smoothly the show ran with the members carrying it entirely as their own guests, hosts, and hype men.
WayV delivered a great time with just nine songs and a modest production. It would be interesting to see what a full-scale production would unleash. Perhaps thatโs what fans can look forward to.

Astroโs Moon Bin and Sanhaโs exciting, unique scent lingered in Manila after their Diffusion in Manila fan con.
MoonBin and Sanha debuted on the Manila stage as a subunit last March 25, 2023. The last time they were in Manila was with the full group in 2016. For Diffusion in Manila, a lot of activities were in store for Arohas to enjoy: from fellow Arohas giving out freebies to multiple fan projects to make the day an extra special one.
After all, MoonBin and Sanha were the next to visit Manilaโs shores after Cha Eun Woo had his fan meeting last October 2019 and August 2022.
For the first time, Astro’s MoonBin and Sanha greeted Philippine Arohas as a subunit on the concert stage. DIFFUSIONIN MANILA served as the first stop of their fan con tour outside South Korea.
Diffusion in Manila Fan Projects
There were a lot of fan projects that were executed: MoonBin and Sanha were presented with flower bouquets and cakes in their waiting room. Their waiting room also had wall decorations as well as post-its of Arohas messages to them and cute photo booth props.
For Arohas, the New Frontier Theater lobby was decorated with life-size standees, tarpaulin banners, a balloon arch with an Instagram frame, and the MoonBin and Sanha logo. And before the fan con date, another fan project was a ticket giveaway.
Some attendees were able to enter the venue for sound check, which was a fan benefit for some of the ticket tiers. Once they were seated inside, anticipation and excitement could be felt.
Diffusion in Manila: Sound Check Fan Benefit
MoonBin and Sanha came on stage for sound check: Sanha in black and Moon Bin in a soft blue outfit. The theater erupted in screams.
They were so surprised and happy at how excited and warm the fans were. The energy was high with fans chanting and singing loud to “Chup Chup”, “Dream Catcher”, and “All I Wanna Do”.
Other fan benefits included a meet and greet, a group photo opportunity, a special Manila unit photocard, and an individual photocard as well as a signed album. Some benefits were won by raffle.
Astroโs Subunit MoonBin and Sanhaโs Manila Debut
Finally, at 6 p.m., it was time for Moon Bin and Sanha to take the stage. As the lights turned off and the opening VCR began, the theater filled with screams and turned into a purple galaxy with Arohas waving their phones and robongs in the air.
The stage turned red and was filled with smoke and then two silhouettes appeared. The screaming only got louder. MoonBin and Sanha opened their Manila fan con with โWHOโ, โBad Ideaโ and โDIAโ.
After officially introducing themselves, they even greeted the crowd with โMabuhay!โ
MoonBin and Sanhaโs solo stages for Diffusion in Manila
After the second VCR was shown, the stage focused on Sanha as he performed solo with a mashup of “Distance” and “Wish”.
He sat on the stage with a spotlight on him and his guitar. As he sang, a collage of the six Astro members filled on screen. It was both a beautiful and a very emotional time for Arohas.
After Sanhaโs heartwarming performance, it was MoonBinโs turn for his solo performance of “Perfumer” and “Desire”. It was a roller coaster of emotions: from Sanhaโs heart-tugging serenade to MoonBinโs sultry performance.
The Diffusion in Manila Aroha Talk Segment
Since it was a fan con, there was also a segment for games and activities which they called Aroha talk.
MoonBin and Sanha saying Filipino phrases
Sam Oh hosted this fun segment and even asked Moon Bin and Sanha to say Filipino phrases such as:
Ang init – Itโs hot
Charot – Just kidding
Mahal ko kayo – I love you
Music quiz
The first activity was for them to identify songs as these songs played all at the same time. If they werenโt able to identify all the songs, there would be a penalty, which was to dance. They could even enlist the help of Arohas in the audience to help them identify songs, which they did. Another game they played was a drawing quiz.
They danced to New Jeanโs “OMG”, BSSโs “Fighting”, Hoang Thuy Linhโs “See Tinh”, and BLACKPINKโs “Pink Venom”.
With the sense of smell being the highlight of their 3rd mini album and first fan con, the venue was also diffused with a fragrant aroma as they performed โMadnessโ, their latest title track from their Incense album.
Another VCR showed on the screen as the boys changed outfits signaling that it was time for more performances. The boys came out in cute outfits and performed โChup Chupโ, โAloneโ, and โDream Catcherโ.
But the show wasnโt over yet as the best part was yet to come: the encore. They played an instrumental version of โBooโ as lyrics flashed on-screen encouraging fans to sing along while waiting for the encore.
Diffusion in Manila Encore
The encore began with โAll I Wanna Doโ and the boys took fans by surprise as they went down to the aisles to serenade them.
Once they were back on stage, they proceeded to talk but then it was Arohasโ turn to surprise them with the fan video. MoonBin and Sanha looked so touched and happy as they watched the video.
But the surprise wasnโt over as an instrumental version of “Dream Catcher” filled the theater and Arohas united to serenade MoonBin and Sanha.
Before the final song of the night, MoonBin instructed Arohas to sing different octaves of the intro of โYour Dayโ. They even gave out signed plastic balls to Arohas. Fan interactions like these give extra special memories for fans to look back on.
The upbeat and energetic song, โYour Dayโ was a great closing encore song to which they kept singing a few more times with Sanha even saying, โDonโt forget we will always be together!โ before launching into one more chorus of the song with confetti blasting to the audience area.
Ending on that high note, MoonBin, and Sanhaโs unique performance scent would linger on, sparking joyful memories for Arohas to look back on.
