From Coffee Prince and Goblin to Train to Busan and Squid Game, the Korean star is finally meeting his Filipino fans in person.
The wait is over, Filipino fans. Gong Yoo is coming to Manila.
PULP Live World has announced the 2026 Gong Yoo Asia Fanmeeting Tour <The Long Take> in Manila, bringing the South Korean actor to the Araneta Coliseum on November 21, 2026.
For fans who have followed Gong Yoo from his early television roles to some of Korean entertainment’s most recognizable productions, the Manila stop offers a chance to finally see the actor up close—not as the café owner from Coffee Prince, the immortal Goblin, or the mysterious Recruiter from Squid Game, but as Gong Yoo himself.
Gong Yoo began his acting career in 2001 with a supporting role in School 4. Six years later, Coffee Prince became his breakthrough, with his portrayal of Choi Han-kyul turning him into a household name across Asia.
He followed the success with roles that demonstrated his range beyond romantic dramas. In Guardian: The Lonely and Great God (Goblin), he played Kim Shin, an immortal warrior searching for the person who could finally end his centuries-long existence. The series became a major hit and further cemented Gong Yoo’s status as one of Korea’s leading actors.
His film work offered an entirely different side of his acting. Gong Yoo starred in Silenced, a socially driven drama based on real events, and appeared in The Age of Shadows and Kim Ji-young: Born 1982. In 2016’s Train to Busan, he played Seok-woo, a father fighting to protect his daughter during a zombie outbreak aboard a speeding train. The film became an international success and helped introduce Gong Yoo to audiences well beyond Asia.
More recently, he entered the global streaming spotlight. He starred in Netflix’s The Silent Sea and made a memorable appearance in Squid Game as the Recruiter—the sharply dressed salesman responsible for introducing unsuspecting players to the deadly game.
It was a relatively brief role, but one that quickly became recognizable worldwide.

Rather than watching him through a screen, fans will have the opportunity to share the same room with the actor whose work has been part of their lives for years.
