  • Sponge Cola and Gigi De Lana Join Forces for First-Ever Collaboration, โ€œNaghihilom,โ€ Out this March 6!

Sponge Cola and Gigi De Lana Join Forces for First-Ever Collaboration, โ€œNaghihilom,โ€ Out this March 6!

Sponge Cola and Gigi De Lana are set to release their first collaborative single, โ€œNaghihilom,โ€ on March 6 across major streaming platforms, with an official music video premiering the same day.

The release marks a milestone moment for both acts, uniting two distinct forces in OPM for the very first time.

โ€œNaghihilom,โ€ which translates to โ€œhealing,โ€ delves into the quiet, complicated aftermath of heartbreak. It reflects on the process of sitting with pain long enough to understand it and, eventually, letting it soften.

The track is anchored by Sponge Colaโ€™s signature alternative rock sensibility, unfolding through textured instrumentation and a slow-burning arrangement. Within that space, Gigi De Lana delivers a restrained yet deeply felt vocal performance that broadens the songโ€™s emotional range while preserving its vulnerability.

For De Lana, the connection to the song was immediate, even if its full meaning revealed itself gradually.

โ€œWhen I first heard it, I immediately felt the depth. It was heavy,โ€ she shares. โ€œTo be honest, the first time I listened to it, I didnโ€™t fully understand the gravity of it. But when I replayed it a few more times, it slowly revealed itself to me.โ€

The collaboration also looks promising as Gigi shares her excitement for the team-up. She adds, โ€œFrom the first meeting pa lang for the song, I felt safe. I felt welcomed. Walang pressure, just pure collaboration and good energy. Sponge Cola is so easy to work with. The environment was light, creative, and inspiring. The whole experience felt amazing. Honestly, ayoko nga umalis agad kapag kasama ko sila.โ€

Sponge Cola frontman Yael Yuzon hopes listeners will find their own stories reflected in the track.

โ€œI want people to feel what they need to feel, to remember or forget, and hopefully sing with us,โ€ he says. โ€œAnd working with Gigi, andali.โ€

An accompanying music video was filmed during the songโ€™s first-ever live performance at a major music festival last January, giving fans present an exclusive first glimpse of the track.

The collaboration bridges two generations of OPM listeners: Sponge Cola, long known for their emotive anthems and enduring presence in the local rock scene, and Gigi De Lana, whose powerful vocals and commanding live performances have cultivated a strong digital following and a new wave of fans.

  • A New Chapter for Ken San Jose in the Manila Production ofย A Chorus Line!

A New Chapter for Ken San Jose in the Manila Production ofย A Chorus Line!

Known to many as one of todayโ€™s most visible young dance artists, whether through his viral TikTok choreography or his regular appearances on ASAP, Ken San Jose is now entering a new chapter that brings him back to where it all began, the theater stage.

Ken will be stepping into the role of Mark Anthony in the Manila run of the beloved Broadway classic A Chorus Line, produced by Theatre Group Asia and directed by Emmy Awardโ€“winning choreographer Karla Puno Garcia, who earned her Emmy for her work on the 76th Tony Awards. Mark is the youngest member of the ensemble, an optimistic first-timer whose exceptional dance ability, quick wit, and unfiltered enthusiasm set him apart. Naive yet perceptive, the character brings levity and heart to the line, embodying the hope and eagerness of someone just beginning to navigate the realities of a professional dance career.

While audiences often associate Ken with contemporary dance and pop culture platforms like TikTok, few know that he actually grew up doing theater alongside his dance training. Long before the spotlight of television and social media, the stage was already his home.

That foundation began resurfacing last year when Ken appeared in Joseph the Dreamer, sharing the stage with Sam Concepcion and Gary Valenciano. The experience reignited his connection to musical theater, and when the opportunity came to audition for A Chorus Line, Ken committed fully. Understanding the demands of a true Broadway musical, he trained rigorously in jazz and ballet, sharpening both technique and stamina to meet the showโ€™s exacting standards.

A Chorus Line is widely regarded as one of the most important musicals in theater history. First premiering on Broadway in 1975, it transformed musical storytelling by placing dancers, their insecurities, sacrifices, and personal histories, at the center of the narrative. Minimalist yet famously demanding, the show requires performers who can sing, act, and dance at the highest level while sustaining emotional honesty throughout.

The Manila production is especially significant, bringing together local and international theater talent under world-class creative leadership. Joining the cast is Filipino-American actor Conrad Ricamora, best known for his role as Oliver Hampton on How to Get Away with Murder. A Tony-nominated stage actor, Ricamora has appeared in major Broadway and Off-Broadway productions including Here Lies Love, The King and I, and Little Shop of Horrors, adding global theater pedigree to the ensemble.

For Ken, portraying Mark Anthony feels both like a breakthrough and a homecoming. The role calls for a performer who can combine technical excellence with natural charm and emotional openness, qualities that align closely with Kenโ€™s background as a dancer and his growing maturity as an artist.

While this moment signals a possible new era, one that expands his range beyond what mainstream audiences have come to expect, his roots remain firmly grounded in dance and the community that shaped him. That connection, he shares, will always be part of who he is.

Beyond the stage, there is more to anticipate. Ken is set to release new music under Diorama, offering audiences yet another side of his artistry. With A Chorus Line, upcoming music, and continued presence across platforms, this season marks a pivotal point in his evolution as a multi-hyphenate performer.

In many ways, A Chorus Line is not just another role, it is a statement. And for Ken San Jose, stepping into Mark Anthony is both a return to his roots and a confident step forward.

A CHORUS LINE BY THEATER GROUP ASIAย The show runs all Thursdays to Sundays fromย March 12, 2026ย โ€”ย March 29, 2026.

  • MULTIPLATINUM GLOBAL SUPERSTAR HILARY DUFF HIGHLY ANTICIPATED SIXTH STUDIO ALBUM ‘LUCKโ€ฆOR SOMETHING’ ARRIVES TODAY!

MULTIPLATINUM GLOBAL SUPERSTAR HILARY DUFF HIGHLY ANTICIPATED SIXTH STUDIO ALBUM ‘LUCKโ€ฆOR SOMETHING’ ARRIVES TODAY!

    “WEATHER FOR TENNIS” OUT NOW!

โ€œA cohesive, no-skips record that offers an update on Duffโ€™s life, including honest looks at motherhood, marriage, and the passing of timeโ€ฆ a pop record that holds very little back, offering a realistic, at times unglamorous portrait that is highly relatableโ€ โ€“ ROLLING STONE

โ€œThe sense you get listening to โ€˜luckโ€ฆ or somethingโ€™ is that Duff is firmly in the driverโ€™s seatโ€ โ€“ GLAMOUR

Multiplatinum global superstar Hilary Duff has officially released her highly anticipated sixth studio album, โ€˜luckโ€ฆ or somethingโ€™, accompanied by its opening track, โ€œWeather For Tennisโ€. Fans can stream the album here and watch the music video here.

Co-written by Hilary and produced by her husband, GRAMMYยฎ Award-winning songwriter/producer Matthew Koma (Britney Spears, P!nk), and Brian Phillips (Alec Benjamin, blink-182), the 11-track collection features previously released singles, โ€œMatureโ€ and โ€œRoommatesโ€.

“Thereโ€™s that question of whether women can have it all, and through this process I learned I had to sacrifice some things in order to put the record first,โ€ shares Hilary. โ€œAs hard as that is, I still believe itโ€™s okay to choose yourself sometimes and do what scares the hell out of you. Carving out the time to make an album after all these years was incredibly powerful for me, and now I canโ€™t wait to share it with the world“.

Hilary Duff – “Weather For Tennis” (Official Video)

Pulled between the chaos and clarity of motherhood, marriage, and finding herself in her 30s, Duff dreamed up a batch of songs that uncover the secret corners of her inner world: her hidden longings and quiet insecurities, intrusive thoughts and deepest obsessions. In a bold evolution of her artistry, she crafted every track with equal parts sensitivity, self-awareness, and wildly charming wit.

โ€˜luckโ€ฆ or somethingโ€™ was heralded by its first single, โ€œMatureโ€. Hailed by VOGUE for โ€œpushing Duffโ€™s sound in new directions while still feeling quintessentially Hilary,โ€ the sardonic, shimmering track โ€“ which quickly earned over 5M global streams in its first week of release โ€“ arrived as a piece of autofiction inspired by romantic misadventures in her formative years. Set against bright pop production and layered with Duffโ€™s signature wit and vulnerability, โ€œMatureโ€ is accompanied by an evocative music video directed by Lauren Dunn (Olivia Rodrigo, Dove Cameron, Saweetie), which has garnered nearly 4M views via YouTube.

Currently supported by major radio stations, the albumโ€™s second single, โ€œRoommatesโ€, was met with high-profile praise from outlets including Billboard, V Magazine, and Rolling Stone, the latter of which declared it โ€œ10 OUT OF 10โ€ฆone of her best songsโ€. โ€œRoommatesโ€ is accompanied by an official music video directed by Matty Peacock (Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande) and currently boasting over 2M views on YouTube.

Duff will celebrate โ€˜luckโ€ฆ or somethingโ€™ with โ€œthe lucky me tourโ€, her first full-scale global headline run in almost two decades. Spanning seven countries, with dates across the US, Canada, Mexico, the UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. For complete details and ticket information, please visit the official website here.

Hilaryโ€™s landmark 2026 kicked off last month with her โ€œSmall Rooms, Big Nervesโ€ dates, an instantly SOLD-OUT global run of very special live shows marking her first headline concert appearances in over a decade.

โ€œI constantly get asked how I still have my head on straight after growing up in this industry,โ€ says Hilary. โ€œThe album title is my way of answering that question, which felt right for a record thatโ€™s about where Iโ€™ve landed and all the things Iโ€™ve been through along the wayโ€.

  • Delinquent Societyโ€™s โ€œCertifiedโ€ Is a Statement of Pride, Origins, and Success!

Delinquent Societyโ€™s โ€œCertifiedโ€ Is a Statement of Pride, Origins, and Success!

They came from the streets of Davao. They carried the weight of “8000” , their postal code, their identity, their proof of origin. And now, Delinquent Society is back to remind the world why they don’t need to ask for permission to be recognized. Introducing “Certified,โ€ the follow-up to their chart-climbing hit “8000WABAD.”

Written in a seamless mix of Bisaya, Tagalog, and English, “Certified” doesn’t try to fit into any box. It reflects the reality of the streets, multilingual, raw, and unfiltered. This isn’t manufactured for international appeal. This is how they talk, how they feel, how they live.

“The title isn’t just a flex. It’s a declaration of credibility. If you’re really from here, you don’t need to explain yourself, you’re already certified.” That’s Delinquent Society in their own words. “8000” isn’t just a number, it’s what shaped them and it means everything. It’s not a trend tag or a marketing angle. It’s who they are. It’s where they’re from. It’s their loyalty, their identity, their proof.

Beyond their roots and upbringing, “Certified” also celebrates the group’s rising success. Their previous track “8000WABAD” garnered nearly 700,000 on Spotify alone, while their performance at Bangkok Music City in Thailand brought their music to international audiences. These achievements have propelled Delinquent Society into the spotlight both locally and abroad, and “Certified” stands as a testament to their continued ascent in the music industry.

Despite their growing fame, Delinquent Society remains grounded in their message of authenticity and representation. “Certified isn’t just about Davao,” the artist stated. “It’s for anyone who reps where they’re from with pride. Hood to hood, city to city, if your presence is real, it doesn’t need validation. You already know. And so does everyone else.”

Thereโ€™s more coming up, stay tuned for the music video of โ€œCertified.โ€ A blend of chaos, humor, and unpredictability mirror the songโ€™s energy, blurring the line between flex and fever dream.  Itโ€™s foreign, disorienting, and wild, but the identity stays intact. Wherever they go, theyโ€™re still certified.

Acoustic icon Ice Seguerra opened the main show, moving the audience with his emotional rendition of โ€œBayan Ko,โ€ which was written in 1928 during the countryโ€™s struggle against American colonization, with the Quezon Memorial Circle pylon light show serving as backdrop.

Elmo and Arkin Magalona honored the legacy of their legendary father, Francis Magalona, with performances of some of his iconic hits that earned him the title of the countryโ€™s King of Rap, including โ€œ1-800-Ninety-Six,โ€ โ€œKaleidoscope World,โ€ and the crowd-favorite โ€œIto Ang Gusto Ko.โ€

Stand-up comedians Alex Calleja and Red Ollero elicited laughter from the crowd with their brand of comedy, touching on current controversies and the everyday challenges Filipinos face.

Ebe Dancel then serenaded the crowd with hits such as โ€œBurnout,โ€ โ€œMakita Kang Muli,โ€ and โ€œBawat Daan.โ€ He was followed by Amiel Sol with โ€œIkaw Lang Patutunguhan,โ€ โ€œNahanap Kita,โ€ and โ€œSa Bawat Sandali.โ€

Nica Del Rosario, composer and singer of the 2022 campaign hit song โ€œRosas,โ€ sang โ€œTalaโ€ and collaborated with rapper Pio Balbuena in the hit song โ€œKapangyarihan.โ€ Balbuena continued his solo performance with โ€œ44 Bars,โ€ โ€œRepublika ng Tambay,โ€ and โ€œAkinse.โ€

Hip-hop group Morobeats ignited the stage with their energetic and expletive-laden numbers โ€œDi Papasakop,โ€ โ€œMagna,โ€ and โ€œAnak Ka ng Pu,โ€ calling out corruption in government and Chinaโ€™s continued harassment of Filipino vessels in the West Philippine Sea and baseless claims of Philippine territory.

Femme MNL, composed of LGBTQIA+ dancers, captivated the audience with a dynamic playback Rihanna set, while rock band Chelsea Alley thrilled the crowd with their powerful hits โ€œWe Are,โ€ โ€œCamouflage,โ€ and โ€œHeneral.โ€

Later in the evening, OPM legend Janno Gibbs belted his hit song โ€œPinakamagandang Lalakiโ€ and joined fellow hitmaker Ogie Alcasid for a duet โ€œHandog ng Pilipino.โ€

Alcasid took the stage with his hits โ€œSige Laglagan Naโ€ and โ€œNandito Ako,โ€ followed by Over October with songs such as โ€œDahan,โ€ โ€œBitin,โ€ and โ€œIkot.โ€ Earl Agustin serenaded the crowd with โ€œTibok,โ€ โ€œPag Ibig ng Ikaw at Ako,โ€ and โ€œDalangin,โ€ before Rivermaya, joined by the Quezon City Symphonic Band, performed โ€œYouโ€™ll Be Safe Here,โ€ โ€œUmaaraw, Umuulan,โ€ and โ€œAwit ng Kabataan.โ€

The Magalonas ended the show with โ€œIto Ang Gusto Ko,โ€ followed by a 10-minute fireworks display that lit up the night sky, capping a celebration of unity, courage, and hope.

Talent manager and showbiz insider Ogie Diaz, along with Mama Loi Villarama, DJ JhaiHo, Bea Binene, and Iza Calzado, served as hosts. The pre-show featured performances by Madeline, Hey Moonshine, Stonefree, Chloe Redondo, Jkris Dantes, Crispin, Sisa and Bassilyo, TSN Drag, Mz. Chronicles, and Jasmine Dudley-Scales.

With its gritty, grounded, and innovative approach, pundits claim the concert offered a fresh way to remember and honor EDSA People Power I. By blending nostalgia with bold calls to hold corrupt officials accountable, they claimed it was undoubtedly a memorable way to kick off the 40th anniversary of EDSA 1.

  • Peabo Bryson Returns to Manila: A Golden Touch of Timeless Ballads!

Peabo Bryson Returns to Manila: A Golden Touch of Timeless Ballads!

Legendary R&B and soul singer Peabo Bryson, often hailed as the “King of Balladeers,” is set to grace Manila once again with his velvety voice and iconic hits. The two-time Grammy and Oscar winner will perform a one-night-only concert as part of his “The Golden Touch Tour” on March 8, 2026, at The Theatre at Solaire in Paraรฑaque City, Metro Manila. This highly anticipated event celebrates over five decades of Bryson’s illustrious career, promising an evening filled with sweeping ballads, heartfelt classics, and the kind of musical magic that has defined generations.

Bryson, now 74, first rose to prominence in the 1970s with his smooth, emotive style that blended R&B, soul, and pop. His breakthrough came with albums like Reaching for the Sky (1977) and Crosswinds (1978), but it was his duets for Disney films that cemented his legacy. The timeless “Beauty and the Beast” with Cรฉline Dion and “A Whole New World” with Regina Belle both earned him Academy Awards and Grammys, becoming staples in romantic playlists worldwide. Hits like “If Ever Youโ€™re in My Arms Again,” “Tonight, I Celebrate My Love” (with Roberta Flack), and “Can You Stop the Rain” have resonated with fans for decades, showcasing his unparalleled ability to convey deep emotion through song.

The Manila stop is part of Bryson’s Asia leg, following announcements of performances in Singapore as well. Produced by Biz Trends, the concert kicks off at 8:00 PM, with tickets available through TicketWorld starting from December 12, 2025. Fans can expect a setlist spanning his extensive catalog, from early soulful tracks to his award-winning Disney anthems, all delivered with the passion that has kept Bryson relevant for over 50 years.

In a recent exclusive interview with the PhilippineConcerts, Bryson shared what he is most looking forward to, returning to Manila this year?

PC: What are you most looking forward to returning to Manila this year?

Peabo Bryson: In the height of social discord, it was in the 50’s, and I went to a concert with my mother where Sam Cooke and Jackie Wilson were on stage, and they did something with their music there, they transcended racism, prejudice, religion, and politics. They made everybody stand and fellowship together. I thought that was the most powerful thing I have ever seen, and I have not seen anybody use music as a platform like that, and it resonated with me. Actually, honestly, it’s the reason I chose this as a profession. What I try to do now and in every single concert is to recreate that fellowship. I don’t do it from the stage. I’m going to get out there among you, I’m going to stand there with you in fellowship, and we’re going to sing the same song together. We’re not going to worry about who we stand next to, we’re not going to get worried about anything, we’re going to fellowship together, and we’ll feel good about it. And that’s why I do fellowship with my audience every single night, that’s what I look forward to doing in all these places, especially in Indonesia and the Philippines. I came here to fellowship, that’s what I do now, and again, that’s the basic reason why God has allowed me to continue my career, because I’m spreading that message, and I’m reminding people not to forget it. That simple.

Speaking specifically about his upcoming performance in Manila, Bryson highlighted a shift toward more intimate and intentional shows. โ€œMy objective now is laser-focused on one philosophy, to fellowship with my audience up close and personal,โ€ he explained. โ€œI donโ€™t want to be on a stage doing it. If youโ€™ve got a message, you need to be among the people and speak that message with them.โ€ Rejecting the โ€œimaginary wallโ€ between performers and audiences, Bryson promised a personal connection with Filipino fans, whom he holds in high regard. This marks his return after a postponed 2023 show and his last appearance in 2018 for the โ€œLove Rocksโ€ Valentineโ€™s concert.

With a career that has produced over 20 albums and influenced countless artists, Bryson’s “The Golden Touch Tour” is more than a concert, it’s a celebration of resilience, faith, and the power of music to transcend time. Filipino fans, known for their passionate support of balladeers, are in for an unforgettable night. Secure your tickets now, for this golden opportunity only with Peabo Bryson.

  • 25 Years After โ€œPagdating ng Panahon,โ€ Ice Seguerra Returns to Where the Story Began!

25 Years After โ€œPagdating ng Panahon,โ€ Ice Seguerra Returns to Where the Story Began!

MANILA, Philippines โ€” Twenty-five years after Pagdating ng Panahon became one of the most defining songs in Original Pilipino Music, Ice Seguerra is returning to the place where his story was first projectedโ€”and choosing, this time, how it begins.

Being Ice: Live! at the New Frontier, happening on February 27, 2026, is not a repeat of the earlier Newport staging of the concert memoir. It is a homecoming in the truest sense: a return to New Frontier Theater, the Cubao venue where Iceโ€™s films premiered during his childhood stardom, and where he was first seen by the nationโ€”before he had language for who he was becoming.

Opening the concert with Pagdating ng Panahonโ€”a song that for decades closed his showsโ€”marks a deliberate shift. Once a symbol of arrival, the song now serves as acknowledgment rather than climax, allowing the rest of the night to move forward into stories that came after fame: survival, quiet work, and authorship.

โ€œFor a long time, that song was the ending people waited for,โ€ Ice shares. โ€œNow, I want it to be the beginningโ€”and then let the rest of my story walk out on its own.โ€

Set in Cubao, the concert traces a full arc that many audiences never saw. After childhood fame receded, this was where Ice stayedโ€”singing in small rooms, performing in showbands, and continuing to work when the spotlight was gone. Those years, often left out of public memory, form the emotional backbone of Being Ice, a concert structured not as a hit parade, but as a memoir told in chapters.

    โ€œThis isnโ€™t a comeback,โ€ Ice says. โ€œItโ€™s a return to the place that saw everythingโ€”including the parts people didnโ€™t clap for.โ€

As the concert coincides with Valentineโ€™s Month, its growing momentum reflects more than seasonal demand. Audiences are responding to a show that invites connection rather than spectacleโ€”one that treats love not as romance alone, but as endurance, community, and the choice to stay.

Supported by brand partners aligned with the concertโ€™s values of comfort and shared experience, Being Ice: Live! at the New Frontier continues to build anticipation as a one-night-only event rooted in memory, place, and presence.

Twenty-five years after Pagdating ng Panahon, Ice Seguerra returns not to relive an endingโ€”but to finally decide where the story begins.
