Singer, songwriter and guitarist Michelle Branch was born in Arizona and she started singing lessons when she was 8 then learned to play the guitar at the age of 14 and was writing her own songs soon after. Branch played the local clubs and eventually was home-schooled by her parents so that she could pursue her dreams as a musician. Branch released her debut album Broken Bracelet in 2000 independently. She released her second album called Spirit Room in 2001 after she got signed with Maverick Records. This album included the hit All You Wanted and Everywhere. She earned multiple Grammy nominations including Best New Artist and Best Female Pop Rock Vocal Performance. She won her first Grammy for the song Game of Love with Santana. She released her third studio album in 2003 including chart-topping singles Goodbye To You, Breathe and Till I Get Over You. Camryn to make concert debut in Asia
Camryn will team up with Greyson Chance on his upcoming arena tour, which kicks off April 17 in Malaysia.
This isn’t the first time Camryn and Greyson have joined forces. Last spring, the 5280 Media recording artist performed on every stop of Greyson’s Waiting For You concert tour, which also featured Cody Simpson. In fact, 2011 was a breakout year for Camryn: Her debut single “Wait and See” broke into Top 40 radio and its video received heavy airplay on both Nickelodeon and The N. The soundtrack for Judy Moody and the NOT Bummer Summer was comprised solely of Camryn’s music and she had a cameo in the movie. Perhaps most impressive is Camryn’s Facebook page, which currently totals over one million fans. “I’m really excited to perform in Asia, because so many of my Facebook fans live in the same countries I’ll be visiting,” she says. “It will also be great to tour with Greyson again. He is unbelievably talented, kind, and fun to be around.”Camryn is currently in the midst of a cross-country middle school tour. Since its November launch, she’s performed for over 50,000 students and made countless television and radio appearances in support of her new single, “Set the Night On Fire.” She will also appear in the upcoming film Long Time Gone, alongside Academy Award winner Virginia Madsen and True Blood’s Sam Trammell.
